Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset due to the weather, but we had a wonderful experience paddling through the mangroves and getting close to the sea. Our guide, Mr. Wataya, was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information not only about nature but also about drinks and food, making it a very enjoyable time. Since we couldn't see the sunset this time, I hope to have a chance to come back on a nice day for a redo!

I was curious if there was a place to do SUP or kayaking in such a town, but once I got here, I found myself paddling along a wide river surrounded by Okinawan plants.
As a traveler, I wanted to find a place where I could experience this without any gear, but since most places offer similar services, I recommend checking their websites thoroughly. There were changing rooms available, and the parking lot can accommodate five cars.
One thing to note is that your bottom will definitely get wet while kayaking. Experiencing this in January can be quite cold, and there's a possibility of rain. If you can prepare, you might need rain gear for both your top and bottom. However, when I mentioned to the staff that I didn't have any rain gear and didn't want to get wet during my trip, they kindly lent me rain pants for free. They also provided shoes. However, a towel is essential, as you'll need it to dry your feet afterward. I brought a towel that I didn't mind throwing away during my travels.
We paddled back and forth on a river about 300 meters long. Along the way, we listened to explanations from the staff. The distance was short, but we enjoyed a leisurely paddle on the kayak. This time in January was relatively cold, but in the summer, there are no trees to provide shade, so it will definitely be hot. You'll need to consider what time of year to experience this and which plan to choose.

I joined to see the mangroves. Even though it was November, the sunlight was warm, and I was able to enjoy kayaking comfortably. The guide provided detailed explanations about the plants and creatures, which sparked my interest. They were particularly knowledgeable about fish, and I even asked about the highlights of the Churaumi Aquarium that I planned to visit afterward. I was lucky to catch a glimpse of a rare mongoose, which is not often seen. It was my first time kayaking, but I was able to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace that wasn't tiring. I would love to participate again.

It had been a while since I went kayaking in Ishigaki Island, but it was a fun time with drone photography, and I was able to see small fish from the bottom of the boat. I had photos taken and received the images captured by the drone right on the spot. There was free time during the one-hour session, and I was able to have them edited during that time, and I received them for free as soon as I got out. The beautiful sea of Miyako Island served as a stunning backdrop. I was truly moved and glad I came.

I participated with my dog, and I was grateful that dogs were allowed. They provided waterproof smartphone cases and winter marine coats for rent, both of which were new and clean, which I really appreciated. It was my first time riding in a transparent kayak, and the floor was like the window of a glass boat, allowing us to see the coral and fish clearly.
The dog I brought along was so excited that he even dove into the sea.
The guide was very dog-friendly and kind, which I was really thankful for. During the experience, another staff member flew a drone, and after the experience, they shared all the photos and videos, including an edited video with background music, which was a wonderful display of hospitality!
After the experience, they provided fresh water in a large bottle, so I was able to wash my dog after he jumped into the sea. I recommend bringing extra towels from the hotel!

終了後は真水を大きなボトルで提供くださるので、犬が海に飛び込んでもそれで洗うことができました。タオルはホテルから多めに持参をするのがオススメです！

After disembarking from the cruise ship, we arrived in about 30 minutes by taxi. The staff were all very kind, and the scenery and the sea were absolutely amazing. We took a lot of photos and drone shots, which became wonderful memories. We had some trouble with the taxi on the way back, but the staff helped us out, which was really appreciated.

It was a bit cloudy, but thanks to the excellent staff, I had a wonderful experience. It was my first time canoeing, but with the guidance of the friendly staff, I was able to paddle, and at the spots they guided us to, I was healed by the fish visible through the clear bottom of the canoe. After taking many photos and drone shots, we enjoyed 30 minutes of free time in the beautiful waters of Miyako. Afterward, I received a lot of photo data, and to my surprise, they had created a highlight video in a short amount of time, which became a wonderful keepsake. Thank you to all the staff.
I was also happy to be able to join the staff again the next day for the 17END Half Marathon!
少し曇ったりしていましたが、エクセレントなスタッフさんのおかげで、素晴らしい体験をさせていただきました。カヌーは初体験でしたが、フレンドリーなスタッフさんの指導で漕ぐ事ができ、案内されたスポットでは、透明なカヌーの船底から垣間見えるお魚達に癒されました。沢山の写真やドローン撮影をしていただいた後は、30分もフリータイムで宮古の海を楽しみました。終了後、沢山の写真のデータをいただきましたが、驚いた事には、短時間でまとめ動画を作成してくれていて、その素晴らしい映像はとても良い記念になりました。スタッフの皆さんありがとうごさいました。
なんと、スタッフさん達とは翌日の17ENDハーフマラソンでもご一緒できて、嬉しかったです。

Although the sky was unfortunately cloudy, the sea was clear and I was able to see cute fish. Above all, the staff were kind and attentive, making my first kayaking experience incredibly enjoyable! We had an experience in mid-September as a family of five with three children (the youngest is four years old). We made a morning reservation, and by the time we finished, it was getting hot, so it was definitely the right choice to go early. We encountered fish, birds, bats, crabs, and other animals, making it a really great experience. The staff were also very nice!
９月中旬に子供３人(１番下は４才)の5人家族で体験をしました。
朝一予約でしたが､終わる頃には暑くなってきていたので朝一で正解でした。
魚や鳥､こうもり､カニ､動物などに出会えとてもいい体験が出来ました。

Some kids got wet up to their bottoms. A swimsuit with a rash guard is the best option. Be prepared to get wet up to your knees.

The weather was nice on the day of the experience, and we were able to enjoy canoeing thoroughly. The river's flow was gentle, so it wasn't too tiring. The guide's explanations were enjoyable, and we were able to see species like the goby and the fiddler crab.
当日は天気も良く、カヌーを十分楽しめました。川の流れもゆるく、あまり疲れることもなく体験できました。
ガイドさんの説明も楽しく聞け、ハゼやシオマネキなども見ることができました。
There aren't many things to block the sunlight, so sunscreen and hats are essential.

My first experience with the clear kayak was filled with excitement. The weather was great, the sea was calm, and it was a wonderful experience. The instructor kept a close watch and even took photos for us. I was able to kayak to areas that I would have found a bit scary to go to on my own. It was a valuable experience thanks to the instructor's focus on safety. Right after the approximately one-hour kayaking experience, they created a digest video combining photos and drone footage and shared it with us immediately, which surprised and moved me at the same time.
In the clear kayak, you can see corals and colorful tropical fish clearly beneath the bottom of the boat.

Before making the reservation, I called to ask for details, and they were very polite and kind, so I decided to book. However, on that day, there were quite a few clouds and not much sunshine... When I arrived at the location, I was a bit anxious, but there were participants from various countries, including Germany and China, which felt very international 😳. Still, the explanations were kind and thorough! When we finally started paddling, it was easier than I expected! It was fun! I was worried about getting seasick, but I was fine 😄. I even took photos with my phone and enjoyed the sunset as it came out from behind the clouds and sank down ✨. I think it was a fun tour thanks to our instructor, Mr. Kinoshita, who went around to each of the five kayaks, checking in with everyone. マングローブカヤックですが、基本日陰は無いのでかなり暑いです。
対策必要です。
ただ、ゆったりとした時間を過ごす事が出来ます。
