A tranquil healing spot on Iriomote Island featuring a serene waterfall basin. The journey by kayak and trekking offers wonderful encounters with mangroves and diverse local wildlife.

Paddle through the vast mangroves of Iriomote. Enjoy the reflection of lush greenery on the calm water and the unique ecosystem that surrounds you.
Explore the wilderness! Trek 40 minutes to the basin to refresh in the cool, clear water. Then, take a short 10-minute walk to the top of the falls for a magnificent panoramic view. Experience the different charms of both spots!
Recharge your energy with a delicious lunch after the morning activities! Followed by a relaxing tea time where you can enjoy the gentle breeze. Food and drinks taste exceptional in the heart of nature♪
Head back through the jungle. As you become more comfortable with the trail, you might find new ways to enjoy the scenery!
Paddle back through the calm river for 50 minutes, soaking in the mangrove forest one last time.
(Note: Depending on the tide, you may need to carry the kayak for about 15 minutes.)

Restrictions
- The target age is 6 to 75 years old. However, if you are confident in your physical fitness, we may be able to accommodate you outside of this range. Please feel free to contact us for further consultation.
- For safety reasons, the following guests cannot participate:
Pregnant individuals
Those who have consumed alcohol or have a hangover
Those with heart, respiratory, mental, cardiovascular, or cerebrovascular conditions
Those with physical disabilities
Those weighing over 100 kg
Those with other medical conditions, fever, or injuries
Participants with hearing or visual impairments traveling alone (must be accompanied by a helper or interpreter) - From March 2025, this area is designated as a "Taketomi Town Specified Natural Tourism Resource." Both entry fee payment and an entry number are required, but don't worry—our shop will handle all these procedures for you.

The tour area is a protected "Specified Natural Tourism Resource." Starting March 1, 2025, an official entry permit is required.
Application: We will apply on your behalf. Please provide the required details upon booking.
Important: If the daily entry limit is reached, the tour will be canceled even after booking.
Fees: A 500 JPY processing fee per person is included in the tour price from March 1, 2025.
Additional notes
- Please note that cancellation fees will apply for cancellations due to personal reasons or changes in the number of participants without prior notice.
No cancellation fee will be charged if you are unable to reach Iriomote Island due to ferry cancellations, or if the tour is canceled due to typhoons or bad weather. - The tour will proceed in rainy weather; however, it may be canceled or modified if safety cannot be ensured.
- For your safety, life jackets must be worn at all times. Please note that wearing a life jacket is also mandatory while snorkeling.
- In case of cancellation due to bad weather, we can offer an alternative itinerary. The owner will select the best available spots for that day, such as mangrove kayaking in a different river or trekking to locations like Geta Falls, Omija Falls, Kura Falls, Mayarock Falls, or limestone caves.
- Pickup service is available only for accommodations between Uehara and Sonai.
- Depending on the tide, you may need to carry the kayak manually (approx. 15 minutes one way / 30 minutes round trip). While there are days when this isn't necessary, it's best to come prepared for at least a one-way carry. If you are concerned, please contact us directly and we will check the tide conditions for you (Kuina to Kayak Iriomote - Representative Nakano: 080-9036-9017). Please feel free to inquire!
- The guide will assist using a translation app.

- Any cancellations made between 00:00 local time, 7 business days to 00:00 local time, 1 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
- Any cancellations made after 00:00 local time, 1 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.
Change Policy
