It was a day when we were worried about strong spring winds and rain, but our guide was very enthusiastic in ensuring we could safely experience Iriomote Island. The lunch we had in the mountains was so delicious that it reminded me of the joy of school field trips when I was in elementary school. We were even able to snorkel, which I thought would be impossible, and I was truly happy to swim in the coral sea with sea turtles and tropical fish! With such a packed itinerary, I thought I would like to stay on Iriomote Island longer next time.

We participated as a family of five from a hotel in Ishigaki Island. We chose this ambitious tour, wanting to be active and do various activities. However, with the rain and wind, we were prepared for cancellation, but the tour went ahead. The ferry to Uehara Port was canceled, so we took a bus via Ohara Port and arrived over an hour late to start the tour.

Canoeing was my first experience, but the current was gentle, so there were no issues. Time felt like it was flowing slowly. Next was trekking, where we had a plant guide and made our way to a waterfall with a significant drop. The rain had increased the water flow, and I was surprised to see the powerful waterfall up close. On the way back in the canoe, I was already accustomed and felt relaxed. Our guide, Aya, shared many wonderful things about Iriomote, making for a fun time.

Due to the rain, we had our meal in a monsoon, and with guidance from Aya's husband, Mr. Kamei, we started snorkeling. Even in the rain, the underwater world was beautiful with fish and coral, and I was moved to see sea turtles and sea snakes. There were hats, towels, raincoats, and wetsuits available, so forgetting something wasn't a problem.

There were times when the rain intensified, but since we were going to get wet anyway, it was all in good fun. Although the temperature was low for the season and the weather was bad, the attentive service from the Kamei couple warmed our chilled bodies, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time on Iriomote Island. It would have been perfect if the weather had been clear, but I was still satisfied.

アクティブに行こうといろいろ入ったこの欲張りツアーを選ぶ。しかし雨、風となり中止も覚悟したが決行。上原港行きは欠航し大原港経由でバスでたどり着く。予定より1時間以上遅れてツアースタート 。 カヌーは初めてでしたが流れは緩やかで問題なし。 時間もゆっくり流れる感覚でした。続いてトレッキングは植物ガイドしてもらいながら落差のある滝までの往復。雨で水量増えて大迫力を間近で見れてビックリでした。帰りのカヌーではもう慣れて余裕でした。ガイドのあやさんが西表の素晴らしいところを沢山教えてくれて楽しい時間でした。
雨のためモンスーンで食事し、あやさんご主人の亀井さんのガイドでシュノーケリングスタート。雨でも海の中は魚に珊瑚でキレイで海ガメウミヘビにも会えて感動。
帽子やタオルやカッパにウェットスーツ、温水シャワーもあり、忘れ物しても問題なかった
雨きつくなる時もあったがどうせ濡れるしご愛敬。季節的に気温は低くさらに天候悪く不安いっぱいでしたが、案内してくれた亀井ご夫婦の至れり尽くせりの対応で家族皆、冷えた体も暖かくなって西表島を満喫し終われました 晴れであれば最高ですが満足できました。

In the morning, I experienced the great outdoors with canoeing and trekking towards the Pinai Saara Falls on Iriomote Island. In the afternoon, I was able to meet the long-awaited sea turtles while snorkeling at Barasu Island. The staff were very helpful, providing detailed explanations about Iriomote Island for our group of seven, which made for a wonderful memory. I would like to request Monsoon again next time.

The guide was very knowledgeable about the sea around Iriomote Island, and all three snorkeling spots we visited were beautiful and amazing. I was truly impressed.

The snorkeling time at each point was well secured, so we could enjoy it thoroughly without feeling rushed, and by the end, I was completely exhausted! But the schedule progressed as planned.

I really enjoyed the leisurely time we spent during lunch and breaks on Hatoma Island. The bento after swimming so much was incredibly delicious.

On the way back to Uehara Port after the tour, it started pouring rain, and since I didn't bring a change of clothes, I got completely soaked...

I borrowed a shower, dried my hair, and was kindly taken to the port in time for the next ferry... I'm grateful to the kind guide and the staff at the accommodation.

I would love to join this tour again when I visit the Yaeyama Islands!

I was completely satisfied! The guide was fun, and I was able to take a lot of photos! Canoeing for the first time was not difficult once we got started, and by the middle, I felt that everyone around us had grasped the technique. We quickly spotted turtles while snorkeling. Impressive! The sea was clear and beautiful! After getting out of the water, we had quite a bit of time before returning to the boat, which allowed us to take a leisurely shower, enjoy the horses, and relax in the hammock in the garden—those were great memories. It was a tour that made me want to come back here again.

I participated solo in a half-day tour on September 20th. The representative from Monsoon was very friendly and it was clear they loved the ocean, which made for a pleasant tour. (Their care and consideration for the coral was wonderful.) I also had to catch an early boat to Ishigaki Island, but they remembered this and kindly encouraged me to take a shower after snorkeling before heading back to the port, which I greatly appreciated. After arriving at Barasu Island, the staff took photos for us, and the representative led the snorkeling while the staff provided support from the back, making for a comfortable snorkeling experience. The staff were attentive and considerate, and (this is just my personal preference) they were slender and incredibly beautiful, making it worth participating in a tour that was all men. They were so cute that I thought about wanting to marry one of the staff. I would like to join another Monsoon tour without revealing my intention to see the cute staff. (The staff were also very polite and attentive on the phone, prioritizing customer service, which I believe was excellent.)

9/20半日ツアーにソロ参加しました。モンスーン代表の方が大変気さくで海好きなのが伝わってきて、人好きでおおらかで気持ち良くツアーにできました。(サンゴへのケア、配慮はね言葉は素敵でした)　また私は早めに石垣島への船に乗らなければいけなかったのですが、しっかり覚えておいて頂いてシュノーケリング終わった後に港に戻る際にシャワーを促して頂いたり大変有り難かったです。バラス島到着後もスタッフの方が写真撮ってくれたり、シュノーケリングも代表者が引率、スタッフの方が最後方からサポートして頂き気持ち良くシュノーケリングできました。スタッフの方も気が利いて配慮が丁寧で、そして(ここからは個人の好みですが)スレンダーで超絶美人で男性だけのツアーでも参加する価値有りです。めっちゃ可愛かったです。嫁にしたいと思いました。可愛いスタッフさん目的がバレないようにまたモンスーンさんのツアーに参加したいと思いました。(スタッフの方は電話対応もハキハキ丁寧で顧客を第一に考えてくださっていてサービスが行き届いていると思います)

The refreshing feeling of canoeing in a river surrounded by greenery, the sense of achievement upon reaching a waterfall during trekking, and the liberating sensation of jumping into the waterfall pool with that high energy—just the morning alone was more than satisfying. After that, I was able to enjoy snorkeling comparable to diving at the miraculous island, which was incredibly fulfilling. I had the best day ever. Next time, I want to stay on Iriomote Island and join a sunset tour as well.

This is a recommended tour for busy middle-aged individuals who want to visit Balas Island and see the sunset without spending too much time.

We participated as a pair, and although Balas Island was only about 1 meter wide during the tour, we managed to land on it. The beauty of the island was unrelated to its width, and our excitement was through the roof! We were able to take many photos and enjoyed ourselves until just before the island submerged.

After that, I enjoyed snorkeling alone. I was thrilled to encounter many tropical fish and sea turtles. Later, while sipping warm tea and enjoying brown sugar until sunset, we listened to fun stories and recommendations from the owner who came from the mainland about their experiences and struggles.

When it was time for the sunset, it became a bit cloudy, so we couldn't see it completely, but I was glad I participated. The entire experience lasted just under two hours, and I would love to join again.

バラス島へ行って夕焼けを見てみたいが、あまり長い時間はもったいないという忙しいミドルエイジの方々にオススメのツアーです。

我々はペアで参加しましたが、ツアーの時のバラス島は幅が1メートルくらいでなんとか上陸が出来ましたが、この美しさには幅の広さは関係なく、テンションはめちゃくちゃ上がりました！たくさん写真も撮っていただけましたし、島が海中に沈む直前まで楽しめました。

その後はシュノーケリングを私だけ楽しみました。たくさんの熱帯魚とウミガメに出会えたのでとても興奮しました。その後は日没まで温かいお茶と黒糖をいただきながら、内地から来たオーナーさんの体験や奮闘など楽しい話やオススメのお店などいろいろと聞けて楽しかったです。

夕焼けの時間になるとちょっと曇って来たので日没までは見れなかったですが、参加してよかったです。
全行程で2時間弱でしたが、また参加したいと思いました。

My first trip to Ishigaki Island. A three-night stay from December 29 to January 1. I was a bit worried it might be cold since it's winter, but I wanted to enjoy a resort-like experience, so I made a reservation. On the day of the tour, we had an unusually clear day for winter! The temperature was around 24 degrees! Choosing this tour was definitely the right decision! ♫

It was my first time snorkeling, and I struggled a bit to swim well, but I felt very satisfied as I could swim freely while ensuring safety! I even encountered a sea turtle, which made me realize the charm of snorkeling!＼(^o^)／

There were three snorkeling spots. After lunch, my family and I freely explored Hatoma Island. At the second spot in the morning, we encountered a baby green sea turtle. It appeared next to me without a care, and even when our eyes met, it didn’t seem surprised. I felt like it was inviting me to come closer, so I swam alongside the little turtle as it leisurely glided through the water. If we hadn't been called back to the boat, I would have loved to swim with it for much longer. It became a treasured experience from our trip to Iriomote.

シュノーケリングのポイントは、３か所でした。鳩間島は、昼食後、家族で、自由に廻りました。午前中の二つ目のポイントで、アオウミガメの子供に会えました。私の左横に、スーと現れてくれて、目があっても驚かない子亀君。おいでと言われた気がして、のんびり泳いでくれる子亀君の上を並行して泳ぎました。船からの集合の声がかからなければ、ずーと一緒に泳いでいたかったです。西表の旅の宝物の体験になりました。

This was my second time participating.

This year, there was coral bleaching, so the marine environment wasn't at its best, but even so, I was taken to beautiful spots with sea turtles and fish, and my companions and I were truly moved.

Since it was high tide, Palau Island was underwater (it seems to appear above water during low tide).

Balas Island is quite irregularly shaped, and it was unfortunate that it submerged below the water level at high tide, but the selection of snorkeling spots, including a resting place for sea turtles, was excellent. The guide who temporarily handled the canoeing and trekking was wonderful, making it a great memory for the whole family.

Although it was a last-minute reservation the day before, I was able to participate. The sea was sparkling like jelly, and I saw cute fish and even a sea turtle, albeit just its face. During the canoeing, I was waved off by the fiddler crabs, and I was moved by the unique subtropical trees during the trekking. The staff who guided us answered our questions about living creatures and plants with great care, and I thought their knowledge was wonderful. The other staff members were also very pleasant.

Unfortunately, due to bad weather and high waves on the day of the tour, we couldn't reach the sea turtle encounter point. Although it was cloudy, we were able to land on Barasu Island. On Iriomote Island, we enjoyed nature with a 30-minute hike and a canoeing excursion. Since I don't often have the opportunity to ride a canoe, it was a great experience.

I visited Iriomote Island for my graduation trip. Since I was there, I wanted to have an experience that I couldn't easily have elsewhere, so I chose this activity. On the day of the trip, we couldn't go snorkeling due to the waves, but we were able to switch to cave exploration, which left me very satisfied. The guide was also very kind, and I got along well with the other participants, which I think is one of the attractions of the experience. We paddled canoes, trekked towards a waterfall, and explored caves, making it a truly packed and fantastic graduation trip. I hope to go back someday for a snorkeling redo! (laughs)

せっかく来たなら、なかなかできないような体験をしたいと思い、このアクティビティを選択。

I participated with a friend. The tide was high and the waves were a bit rough, but the island made of coral, Barasu Island, was truly beautiful. We were able to see the sea turtles while they were napping. In the second half, the weather improved, and I was thrilled to see coral and colorful fish that looked like something out of a dragon palace, as well as a sleeping shark! We enjoyed a leisurely handmade lunch with our guide on Hatoma Island, who shared many fun stories with us. After swimming a lot and feeling tired, we relaxed on the beach during our time exploring Hatoma Island. I was also able to take a shower when we got back, so I was very satisfied.

友人と2人で参加しました。大潮で波が少し荒かったのですが、珊瑚でできた島、バラス島も本当にきれいでした。
ウミガメはお昼寝中でしたがバッチリ見れました。
後半はお天気も良くなり、竜宮城のような珊瑚とカラフルなお魚、またネムリブカなど見る事ができて大興奮！
鳩間島でのんびり手づくりランチをガイドさんと食べて、楽しいお話もたくさんしてくれました。たくさん泳いで、疲れていたので鳩間島散策の時間は海岸でのんびり。帰ってからシャワーも浴びられましたし、満足でした。

I was able to see many beautiful fish while snorkeling. Baras Island was so beautiful that I was moved! I definitely want to go again. It was a short course, but it was just the right amount of time for us without being too tiring, and we had a great experience.

I was able to see many fish while snorkeling! The guide was friendly during the canoeing and trekking, teaching us various things, and it was really fun. They also took many photos at the waterfall and showed us great spots! It was a fulfilling day that went by in no time.

The waves were high in the morning, so we couldn't see any sea turtles. What a shame.
Bara Island is a beautiful place, and the sound of the waves and coral created a magical atmosphere. It felt like a dream.
We had lunch on Hatoma Island. It was a peaceful spot, and we enjoyed a leisurely stroll for about an hour.
We also had plenty of time for snorkeling, and we were healed by the beautiful coral and fish.

Of course, Balas Island was great, but snorkeling at the points with coral reefs was very pleasant. I was also able to see sea turtles, which made for wonderful memories. The instructors were very nice people too!
