We used this service for our honeymoon trip. I had never visited Iriomote Island before, and I was also eager to go to Taketomi Island again, so this plan was perfect for us. The hotel was close to the island terminal, so we walked there, enjoyed a Maria Shake, and gathered for the trip. The boat ride was comfortable with no significant swaying, and we quickly arrived at Iriomote Island.

First, we went on a mangrove cruise. The scenery was unlike anything I had seen on the main islands, and I could feel the subtropical climate and vegetation. We learned about various types of mangroves and had the rare opportunity to see unusual bird species up close, making it a valuable experience.

From there, we took a bus to Yubu Island. I had always wanted to ride a water buffalo through the shallow waters, and my dream finally came true. Although it was a bit rainy, the beautiful scenery and relaxed atmosphere allowed us to forget the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy ourselves. Lunch was included, which made the plan very convenient.

Finally, we headed to Taketomi Island. We first toured the island by bus and even found star sand ourselves. We also rode a water buffalo cart here, but it had a different atmosphere compared to Yubu Island. We leisurely enjoyed the path surrounded by stone walls. With some free time, we took a break at a café near Nagomi Tower before heading back.

We arrived at the Ishigaki Island terminal at 16:30. It didn’t affect our evening plans, and we were able to fully enjoy the islands from the morning. Next time I visit Ishigaki Island, I would like to explore other nearby islands, so I plan to use this service again.

西表島は訪れたことがなく、また竹富島も久々に行きたいと思っていたので、打ってつけのプランでした。
ホテルが離島ターミナルに近かったので、徒歩で向かい、マリヤシェイクを飲んで、集合。
船は大きな揺れはなく、快適であっという間に西表島に到着しました。
まずは、マングローブクルーズに。本州では見ることのない景色が広がり、亜熱帯の気候、植生を肌で感じました。複数のマングローブの種類の説明や珍しい鳥類を間近に見ることができ、貴重な体験となりました。
そこからはバスに乗り、由布島へ向かいます。水牛に乗って浅瀬を進む映像に魅せられ、とても行きたかったので、ようやく念願が叶います。少し雨模様でしたが、美しい景色、のんびりした時間が流れ、都会の喧騒を忘れて楽しむことができました。お昼ご飯もついており、自ら準備する必要もなく、とても使いやすいプランだと思います。
最後に竹富島へ。まずは島内をバスで観光しました、星の砂を自分で見つけることもできました。またこちらでも水牛車に乗りますが、由布島とは違った雰囲気があります。石垣に囲まれた道を進み、ゆったりと堪能しました。少し空き時間があったので、なごみの塔近くのカフェでしばし休憩し、帰途に立ちます。
石垣島離島ターミナルへは、16:30に到着。夜の予定に影響することもなく、朝から目一杯離島を満喫できました。
次に石垣島に来た際は他の離島に行きたいので、また利用させていただこうと思います。

I participated in this tour to quickly visit nearby islands since I will be in Ishigaki Island for a few days. The bus driver's explanations in Iriomote were excellent, the lunch on Yufu Island was delicious, and the ice candy and star sand on Taketomi Island made for a dream-like day.

On Taketomi Island, I was taken to a beach where I could find star sand. The bus driver showed me that it’s easier to find near the rocky areas. While leisurely beachcombing, I was able to find star sand and sea glass. During the water buffalo cart tour, a chatty guide introduced me to the charms of Taketomi Island and played Okinawan folk songs on the shamisen while singing along.

When crossing to Yubu Island on the water buffalo cart, we moved over the sea. Since it was low tide, there wasn't much water, but crossing over the water provided a different kind of enjoyment compared to Taketomi Island. At high tide, the water reportedly comes up above your feet. The lunch bento, Matsukado bento, was great as it allowed me to enjoy a little bit of Okinawan cuisine. On the Iriomote Island cruise, we were able to get very close to the mangroves and see various types of mangroves. Everyone provided attentive guidance, and it was a very memorable trip. It was an early departure in the morning, but it was nothing to worry about if it meant escaping the heat a little. We had a car pick us up to the hotel, and even after arriving at the island terminal, we were well guided to the tour desk, allowing us to participate without any anxiety, even as first-timers.

At the tour desk, there was a detailed explanation during check-in, and I became even more excited about the island tour that was about to begin.

Since it was a tour that included lunch, I made sure to buy some drinks and off we went to the ferry terminal!

We boarded the ferry, and finally, the Iriomote Island tour was about to start. As the ferry departed, the staff from the tour company waved goodbye with a big smile, saying "Have a great time!" which made me feel really warm inside.

After about 45 minutes, we arrived at Ohara Port. I thought I would rush to the restroom, but it turned out to be fine. "Everyone, please use the restroom first before proceeding to the cruise ship boarding area," was the announcement. Then we boarded the cruise ship and set off for the Nakama River Mangrove Cruise.

It was just the right time for the tide to go out, and the announcement said, "The scenery will change on the way back, so please pay attention," so I made sure to take pictures of the scenery on the way. ホテルまで車でお迎えがありましたし、離島ターミナルへ着いてからもツアーデスクまで、しっかり案内してもらえて初めてでも何の不安もなく参加できました。

フェリーに乗り込みいよいよ西表島ツアー出発です。フェリーが出港するとツアー会社の方の大きな✋笑が「行ってらっしゃ〜い」と見送ってくれて、とてもホッコリ☺️しました。

トイレに駆け込もうと思ってたら、いやいや大丈夫でした
「皆さ〜ん、先ずトイレを済ませてからクルーズ船乗り場にお進み下さい」のご案内
そして、クルーズ船に乗り込み「仲間川マングローブクルーズ」へ出発です。
ちょうど潮が引いてくる時間帯で「行きと帰りの景色が変わりますのでしっかり見ててください」のアナウンスでスマホでしっかり行きの景色を撮りました。
初めはいなかった鳥たちが潮が引いてくると、アチコチから出てきて…
初めは見えてなかったマングローブの根もだんだんと現れてきて…✨

カヌーで見学されてる方やカヌーで釣りをしながらの方もいて、お互いに手を振り合う✋和やかさ
これもまた、旅の良さですね。

マングローブは延々と奥深くまで続いていて潮が引いてくると今にもこっちに歩いて来そうな感じで不思議な光景でした。

マングローブの後は、桟橋から観光バスで水牛車乗り場へ
水牛車では三線と歌をききながら水牛の説明もしていただいて由布島到着

First, I was picked up at the hotel. From there, we went to the island terminal, boarded a ferry, and headed to Iriomote Island. After that, we took a water buffalo cart to Yubu Island. Each part of the journey went smoothly, with restroom breaks and plenty of time for shopping and sightseeing, which was well-planned.

The ferry ride to Iriomote Island took 45 minutes. I didn't feel any rocking of the boat, so I could travel comfortably. There were also barrier-free seats, and many elderly guests were on board. The sea water was clear and blue, and the scenery visible from the boat was wonderful.

We transferred to a mangrove sightseeing boat in Iriomote Island and headed upstream. As we approached low tide, we could see some sandy areas. At photo spots, the boat slowed down, allowing many guests to take pictures with their cameras.

During the mangrove tour, the guide was very knowledgeable about mangroves, which was very educational. Although it was low tide, we were able to navigate upstream to a viewpoint. The beach seemed to be in a natural state without much development, but I could feel the vastness of the sea, which brought me peace. There was a café near the beach where I could enjoy coffee and gelato, but I wished there had been an air-conditioned indoor space.

After the Yubu Island tour, we returned to Iriomote Island. During our bus ride on the island, the bus guide's stories were very interesting and enjoyable. Especially notable was the fact that there is only a junior high school on Iriomote Island, so children leave home to go to Ishigaki Island for high school, and the small number of elementary school students was a topic that could only be learned from someone living there.

暑さも多少和らぎ、夏休み後もあり、特別混雑はなく、のんびりと過ごす事ができました。
まず、ホテルまでお迎えにきて頂きました。
そこから、離島ターミナルまで行き、船に乗り、西表島へ行きました。西表島から水牛車に乗り、由布島に行きました。
どの工程も、スムーズに進み、トイレ休憩もあり、買い物、見学の時間もたっぷりあり、よく練られていました。
西表島までフェリーで45分。船の揺れも感じず、安心して移動する事ができました。
バリアフリーの席もあり、ご老人のお客さんも多数いらっしゃいました。海の水が透き通って青々としていて、船の中から見える景色も素晴らしかったです。
西表島からマングローブ遊覧船に乗り換え、上流に向かい船を走らせます。
徐々に干潮を迎え、砂地が見えてきた部分もありました。
フォトスポットでは、船を止まらせてくれたりゆっくり進むので、多くのお客さんがカメラをかまえて写真撮影を楽しまれていました。
　マングローブ遊覧では、ガイドさんがマングローブの知識が豊富で、とても勉強になりました。干潮ではありましたが、普段はあまり行けない上流まで、船を進ませて、展望台近くまで行ける事が出来ました。海の海水から、上流の淡水に入るころの植物の違い、塩分を葉に蓄え、黄色の葉になり、落葉して、塩分を排出する植物など、西表島ならではの珍しい植物の話は、とても興味深く、聞き入ってしまいました、また、パイナップルもどきの植物やしらさぎ等の鳥、イリオモテヤマネコの話等、大変面白く聞かせてもらいました。特別天然記念物、イリオモテヤマネコは夜行性なので、昼のツアーでは見る事が出来なかったのが少し寂しかったですが。
また、赤いペットボトルがぶらさがっているところは漁師さんがカニをしかけているサインであること、西表島にしかいないイノシシを許可された人のみで狩猟するシーズンがあることなどの話を聞いた際は、豊かな自然の中にある生命の循環・尊さのようなものを感じました。
マングローブ遊覧では、ガイドさんがあまりに詳しいし、遊覧１時間近く、ずっと話されていて、関心しました。とても良い経験をする事ができました。
由布島では、大きな水牛が沢山いて、どの水牛にも名前がついていて、よくお顔を見ると、とても可愛い、愛らしい顔をしていました。水牛の兄弟もいて、水牛同士のアイコンタクトで、止まったり、進んだり、水牛にも感情、心があるみたいで、微笑ましく思いました。水牛に対する考え方がかわりました。
1箇所では、水牛と触れ合ったり一緒に写真を撮る事ができるエリアがありました。
水牛車では、三味線の演奏、歌もあり、ガイドさんのお話しもあり、短い時間、山盛りの内容で、質問をすると、きちんと答えてくれますし、とても親しみを持てるガイドさんで、楽しく過ごす事が出来ました。
このツアーのガイドさん方は、大変勉強家でした。
由布島では、幕内弁当を食べましたが、味があっさりしていて、とても美味しくいただきました。
黒糖ようかんやアーサが入った味噌汁、チャンプルなど沖縄名物や沖縄ならではの食材をふんだんに使用したメニューでした。
植物園、小中学跡地等が由布島にはありました。
小中学校跡地では、かつて高潮が原因で水没し、住民が移住をよぎなくされたという歴史を垣間見ることができました。
ビーチはあまり整備がされていない自然の状態のように思えましたが、広大な海を感じる事が出来、心が穏やかになりました。ビーチのそばにはカフェがあり、コーヒー・ジェラートなど楽しむ事が出来ましたが、エアコンが効いた室内があれば良かったと思いました。
由布島ツアーが終わると、西表島に戻ります。
西表島内の移動時には、バスに乗りますが、バスガイドさんのお話もとても興味深く楽しかったです。特に、西表島では、中学校までしかないので、高校生になると子どもたちは親元を離れて石垣島に行くことや、小学校の在校生の少なさなど、現地に住んでいる方からしか聞く事が出来ないような話が興味深かったです。
「４０年間沖縄から出ていないので、雪を見た事がありません。あれって本当に存在するんですかね。」というバスガイドさんご自身のエピソードも大変印象的でした。
帰りは離島ターミナルから、ホテルまでの送迎もついていましたが、私達は離島ターミナルから、ゆらていく市場で地元の果物を購入して帰宅しました。そのあたりは、希望を出せば自由に選択できました。
ツアー全体を通して、知識豊富で話上手なベテランガイドさんによる説明があり、大変充実度の高い内容でした。
また、豊かな自然と尊い生命を感じる事が出来、日々身を置いている喧騒な都会の煩わしさから解放されたように感じます。

I challenged myself to a solo canoe ride, and afterwards, I trekked through the jungle aiming for the Piñal Sara Falls! The dive into the pool after sweating was so refreshing. The guide also shared information about various plants and creatures, making it a fun tour! I heard there was a snorkeling tour in the afternoon, so I’d love to try that next time too!

On September 22, 2023, I visited Iriomote Island and Yufu Island. The itinerary and time allocation were just right, making it a very satisfying tour.

First, we boarded the ship and set sail smoothly without any delays. 2023年９月22日に西表島、由布島へ行ってきました。行程、時間配分ともにちょうど良く、大変満足出来るツアーになりました。

まず乗船から出港ですが、待たされる事もなくスムーズな出だし。天気が良かった為、船の中から離島が見え、説明も船内放送されていたので、外を眺めていたらあっという間に西表島に到着。
到着後は流れるように仲間川クルーズ船→バス移動→水牛で由布島→昼食→水牛で西表島→帰港となりました。

全体を通して、せかせかせずに余裕を持ちながら行動ができ、観光を十分に楽しめるツアーでした。
各所案内していた頂いた方々も、分かりやすくゆっくりと案内や説明をして下さったので、何も言う事はありません。100点です。
最高の思い出になりました。次回観光の際も利用します。

On the last day of my two-night, three-day trip to Ishigaki, I chose a morning-only plan. We saw the mangroves from the boat, and it was very mystical. I made a reservation and participated a week ago. Since it was a weekday, there weren't many other participants, and I was able to enjoy it at a leisurely pace.

The walking time on Yufu Island was about an hour, with no elevation changes, which was just right. I participated with my husband, who is not good at group activities, but the guides on the boat, the bus, and the water buffalo were all very skilled at storytelling, so we were never bored and had a great time.

On the day we participated, the ferry from Ishigaki to Iriomote Island offered an upgrade for 500 yen, allowing us to enjoy the view from the second floor and see the crew operating the vessel, which was very satisfying.

ツアー参加前日に事前の確認電話があり、当日は宿泊ホテルまで迎えに来ていただき港に移動。
一緒にツアーに参加するメンバーと担当のヨシさんと合流し、まずはマングローブツアーへ。
バスの移動中はヨシさんが西表島の情報などを沢山教えていただき、移動時間からワクワクでした。
マングローブツアーに参加前は丁寧にカヤックの漕ぎ方をレクチャーいただき、非常に安全に楽しめました！滝と森林に触れ、マイナスイオンを沢山感じることができました。その後、昼食休憩を取り、午後はバラス島シュノーケリングへ。ここでもヨシさん等スタッフの方々がサポートしてくださったのでとても安全に綺麗な海を散策することができ、良い夏の思い出ができました。また、どのツアー中もヨシさんが写真を撮ってくださるので、形としても思い出に残すことができました。(ツアー後、LINEで送ってくださります)値段以上の価値を提供いただきとても満足のツアーでした。

The itinerary included a mangrove tour in Iriomote Island, a bus tour around Iriomote Island, crossing to Yubu Island by water buffalo cart, and free time and lunch on Yubu Island. Although we couldn't see the beautiful ocean due to the rain, I was still able to enjoy the extraordinary scenery and environment. Personally, the water buffalo cart was the most impressive and charming part. Additionally, on Yubu Island, I was able to touch the water buffalo and take pictures. Overall, even though it was rainy, I felt that it was good to participate in this tour because, in Ishigaki, activities are limited when it rains.

あいにくの雨の中でのツアー参加となりました。コースとしては、西表島でのマングローブツアー→西表島のバス観光→由布島に水牛車で渡る→由布島でフリータイム&昼食というコースでした。雨だったので、綺麗な海などは残念ながら見れなかったのですが、非日常の景色や環境はそれなりに楽しめました。個人的には水牛車が一番印象的で風情があります。また、由布島では水牛に触れたり、写真を撮ったりすることができました。総じて、雨ではあったものの、逆に石垣では雨でやることは限られるので、雨だったからこそこのツアーに参加してよかったなと思いました。

The water buffalo tour to Yufu Island was especially impressive, as the water level had risen due to high tide and the typhoon, but the strong water buffalo moved forward with determination.

前日の台風で催行されるか分からないなか、無事三島に行くことができ楽しい時間を過ごすことができました！特に由布島への水牛ツアーは満潮かつ台風で水かさが増しているなか、力強く進む水牛さんに感動しました。
