I was initially unsure about the location near the hotel, but I ended up feeling the incredible nature of Iriomote Island, as I got to see a coconut crab (it's rare to see two at once) and encountered a habu snake.
The closeness of the starry sky after turning off the lights on the beach is an experience that you can't have in the city, so I think those staying on Iriomote Island should consider participating in this.
*Even without joining a tour, you can see amazing starry skies in Iriomote, but I feel there is a difference between being in complete darkness and not.*
思ったより、ホテルの近くの場所に案内されたので、最初はどうなの？と思ったのですが、ヤシガニが見れたり（2匹みれることはレアだそうです）や、ハブに遭遇したりと、西表島の自然の凄さを感じたしだいです。

There were about 30 participants in the mangrove and canoe activity in Iriomote Island, and I was the only one alone. The canoeing was as expected from start to finish, except for one point. Even though it was a two-person canoe, it was faster overall than being alone. In the end, there was quite a distance to return to the shore. I paddled really hard. I might be the only one who was sweating as much as everyone else. Canoeing allowed me to have my own space, so it was enjoyable. Thank you very much.
人数全体は30名程の西表島マングローブとカヌー参加もお一人様は私だけ。カヌー始めから終わりまで一点を除き想定内。

The ferry to Uehara Port was canceled, so we headed from Ohara Port instead. This is my second time on Iriomote Island, but it was the first time I experienced such cold weather in March. I was disappointed that the snorkeling at Barasu Island was changed to canyoning and canoeing, but thanks to the tour instructors Taro and Yume, we were able to create very enjoyable memories. Next time, I want to bring my older child, who couldn't come this time, and have a revenge trip to Barasu Island on a sunny, hot day!

The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing many stories about the islands during our travels, which made it enjoyable. We had a fulfilling day riding in an ox cart and paddling a canoe to see the mangroves.
One disappointing aspect was that I had imagined we would be able to explore deeper into the jungle while canoeing, but in reality, we only paddled a little on a large river and landed at a small area with mangroves for a brief walk, which was a bit different from what I had envisioned.

I participated in a tour of mangrove canoeing and Yufushima. It was a day with strong rain and wind, but I was able to paddle vigorously, and inside the mangroves, the wind calmed down, allowing me to enjoy the scenery while listening to the guide's explanations. I participated in the mangrove canoeing and Yufu Island course.
Although the weather was unfortunate, I was able to enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by mangroves while canoeing. On Yufu Island, I also had a fulfilling time taking pictures with water buffalo and visiting a café.
There were strong winds, and the ferry to Uehara Port was canceled, so we had to switch from SUP to canoeing. However, I received a thorough explanation about these changes over the phone the day before, which was very helpful.

Exploring the pitch-black forest and beach with a flashlight was a bit scary, but it was exciting. I wanted to see the starry sky, but it was cloudy on the day, so I could hardly see any stars...
As for the creatures, I was disappointed not to see the coconut crab, but I was able to find eels and other crabs! The gobies were cute.

We took a ferry from Ishigaki Island to Uehara Port on Iriomote Island, where we were welcomed by our guide, Macchan. It seems that ferries to Uehara Port are often canceled during this season (if canceled, there is a shuttle bus from Ohara Port), so we were lucky.
In the morning, we enjoyed a water buffalo cart tour of Yufu Island, and in the afternoon, we had a mangrove canoe tour. I had a truly valuable experience kayaking in the real darkness and quiet after sunset. The darkness made the bioluminescent plankton look beautiful, as I could barely see a few meters ahead. In that peaceful space, the only sounds were the water splashing from the kayak and the calls of owls, allowing me to fully enjoy nature in a way that is not possible in the city.
They provided detailed explanations about constellations, mangroves, and paddling techniques, and the pace allowed us to really appreciate nature, which was great. Thank you very much.

I took a half-day course on a day trip from Ishigaki Island. I thought I wouldn't be able to see the starry sky due to the cloudy forecast, but miraculously, there was a moment when the clouds cleared. It was a dream of mine to see the starry sky on Iriomote Island, so I was very happy.

We were with a 3-year-old, but they proceeded at the child's pace, always being considerate while also sharing enjoyable stories, allowing us to have a fun time throughout. Normally, my son immediately asks to be carried, but during this experience tour, he walked on his own without asking to be picked up even once, and I feel he has become more resilient.

First of all, thank you to the three guides for your assistance! I was able to enjoy the excitement of being in nature! You picked me up at the hotel on time, and the return transfer was smooth as well. The content of the tour was honestly a bit underwhelming compared to my expectations! While we were shown some interesting places, it was relatively cold, and I didn't encounter many living creatures. Additionally, it was cloudy, so there were no stars at all. To enhance satisfaction, I think it would be better to limit the tours based on temperature and weather conditions. Thank you!
