I chose this tour because I wanted to explore the three islands. There is no tour guide, so we received an explanation at the ferry terminal and got tickets for the entire itinerary, which we followed.

Be sure to try the gelato on Yufu Island. When you arrive on the island, head straight to the spot where you can interact with the water buffalo and take pictures! If you don't go first, it gets crowded, and you won't be able to visit other places.

Rental bicycles: If you plan to explore by bike, there's not much time, so I think three spots is about the limit. Kaiji Beach → Kondoi Beach → a café ☕️ might be just the right amount of time to enjoy. I recommend the café at Parlor Painu Island for mango café, kakigori, or coffee.

This was my first time in Ishigaki Island, and since I only had half a day on both the first and third days of my 2-night, 3-day trip, I wanted to visit recommended spots on the full day in between, so I joined this sightseeing tour.

I was considering renting a car, but I think it was much more efficient to visit the great places in Ishigaki Island evenly and at a very reasonable price. The charming guide on the bus shared fun stories, and I learned a lot about Ishigaki Island, making the journey truly enjoyable. On the glass-bottom boat, I was able to see turtles and clownfish.

Although I was traveling alone, I shared the bus with other solo travelers, and we had great conversations. The lunch portion was just right, and I was satisfied with being able to try various delicious dishes from Ishigaki Island in small bowls. Riding the water buffalo cart on Taketomi Island was also fun.

Since it was a tour, the tickets for the ferry to the remote islands were included (if purchased individually, you would have to wait in line), and the glass-bottom boat was offered at a discounted price. With everything included (the glass-bottom boat is an optional extra for those who wish to participate), this price was very reasonable. Thank you very much! ツアー自体はコンパクトに三島周れて良かった。

Departing from Ishigaki Port, I enjoyed the beautiful scenery of mangroves while listening to the fun explanations from our guide on Iriomote Island. I saw rare butterflies and rode a water buffalo across the sea. At that moment, the young man handling the water buffalo played the sanshin and sang, which was moving. The houses on Taketomi Island were incredibly beautiful structures. I was strolling around the island on foot, but I was sticky with sweat from my pants and shirt. I recommend using a rental bicycle. The exploration location was near Sakieda in Ishigaki City, and it felt more like a jungle than I expected as we pushed through the underbrush. Unfortunately, the starry sky was obscured by clouds, so we couldn't see much, but we encountered various creatures like four coconut crabs, a giant tree frog, a scorpion, and a large spider! The excitement when we found the coconut crabs was great! Our guide, Manaka, also kept the conversation lively during the car ride, making the whole experience enjoyable.

探検場所は石垣市崎枝付近で、思った以上にジャングルで茂みをかき分けて進むといった感じでした。星空は生憎の曇り空であまり見えませんでしたが、ヤシガニ4匹にオオハナサキガエルやサソリモドキ、デカイ蜘蛛など色々な生き物に遭遇することができました！みんなでヤシガニを探して見つけた時のテンションの上がり方がよかったです笑ガイドのまなかさんも車の移動中明るくお話ししてくださり終始楽しめました。

It was a very windy day, and the boat ride from Ishigaki to Iriomote was extremely bumpy. (This was due to the weather, and not because of any issues with the tour!) It felt like being on a roller coaster, and even though I took motion sickness medication beforehand, it was quite tough. There were quite a few screams echoing inside the boat.

After a challenging journey, we finally arrived at Iriomote Island, but I felt unwell for a while. In my case, I had to take a mangrove cruise right away, which made me fearful of being on another boat, but this one was stable and well-ventilated, so I was okay.

After that, I was able to enjoy the tour smoothly!

I was very worried about the return trip to Taketomi Island, but the wind calmed down, and the boat was less rocky, so it was fine.

On Taketomi Island, I had chosen a free walk option because the bus tours were fully booked at the time of reservation, but it was a hot day, making walking quite difficult. We walked to the center, but my child got tired, and we didn't feel like walking to the beach, so we turned back and returned.

During the hot season, if you're good with the heat, renting a bicycle might be a good option, but there are quite a few hills, so that could also be tough.

ジェットコースターに乗っている様で、酔い止めを飲んでから乗ったにも関わらず、かなり辛かったです。
船の中で結構悲鳴が響いていました。

やっとの思いで西表島に着いて、しばらく具合が悪く、私の場合はすぐにマングローブの遊覧船だったので、また船かと恐怖でしたが、こちらは揺れずに、風通しも良い船だったので、大丈夫でした。

その後は順調にツアーを楽しめました！

帰りの竹富島までの移動がとても心配でしたが、風が落ち着いて、船の揺れも少なくて、大丈夫でした。

竹富島では、予約時にはバスツアーがもういっぱいで、フリーウォークを選択しましたが、暑い日だったので歩くのが大変でした。
中心部まで歩きましたが、子供が疲れてしまい、ビーチ等まで歩く気が起きずに、そのまま引き返して帰りました。

暑い季節は、暑さに強い方はレンタサイクルでもいいかもしれませんが、坂道多めなので、それも辛いかもしれません。

The mangrove tour was fascinating. We were able to observe the roots well at low tide. I've heard that the characteristic roots of the mangroves are not visible at high tide, so I think participating on a day when low tide occurs from the morning to noon would be more enjoyable. The ox cart on Yubu Island was peaceful, and it truly looked like a slow-life scene straight out of a guidebook. I didn't have high expectations for the lunch bento since it was part of the tour, but it was very delicious, featuring local ingredients. The glass-bottom boat tour in Taketomi Island was great; the captain was very knowledgeable about where to find fish, and we were able to see a lot of tropical fish, which made my elementary school-aged child very happy.

It was great! The two guides really worked hard to entertain us from the gathering to the moving and dispersing, and their stories were interesting. They even helped us find a coconut crab while we were climbing the cliffs and sweating! I didn't expect to have such an active guide.

During the tour, be careful as you leave your luggage in the car. We finished around 10 PM that day. I felt like I received energy from the young people, and I definitely want to participate again.
