As we ventured through the jungle searching for coconut crabs and wildlife, we were greeted by an unbelievably beautiful starry sky.
If you come to Ishigaki Island, this is an experience you absolutely must have.
It's incredible to be able to have such an experience at this price.

Also, the stories and personalities of the staff are one of the highlights of this tour.
Throughout the tour, the atmosphere was relaxed, allowing us to immerse ourselves in nature without any tension.

It's completely dark without light. It's scary to go without a tour. The starry sky is incredibly beautiful, and as you look at it, your eyes adjust and you start to see more and more stars. I was able to see the Milky Way and shooting stars as well. I almost gave up on seeing the coconut crab, but the guide worked hard and I was able to see it. On top of that, I also saw fireflies. I was very satisfied.

On the day of the tour, we were picked up at 7:15 AM at Fusaki Beach Resort, which was perfectly timed since breakfast started at 6:30 AM. After boarding the bus, we arrived at the port around 7:50 AM, where we received our tickets and an explanation of the day's tour. We departed at 8:15 AM and arrived at Iriomote Island around 9:00 AM. After using the restroom, we quickly boarded a boat for a mangrove exploration. Upon arriving at the port, we swiftly moved by bus to the water buffalo cart station for Yubu Island, reaching there around 11:00 AM. After having lunch at a restaurant, we took photos with the water buffalo and toured the island. We returned to Iriomote Island by water buffalo cart at 12:30 PM and then moved to the port by bus. I participated in the mangrove experience on a leisurely canoe! The natural beauty of the mangroves, which I had never seen before, was truly stunning, and witnessing such nature that I can't see in the city made my heart race! I thought that with a stand-up paddleboard (SUP), I might be too focused on not falling to enjoy the scenery, so choosing the canoe was the right decision, haha. Of course, I think you can have plenty of fun with a SUP too!

As for snorkeling, I was incredibly lucky to encounter a sea turtle!! I was so happy! It's apparently quite rare, so I was fortunate. Although it was just for a short time (the sea turtle swam too fast), it was a very happy moment swimming alongside it.

The two experiences were led by different guides, but both were very kind and made me feel at ease to enjoy the activities! I definitely want to use this activity again!
