The Yaeyama region entered the rainy season considerably earlier than usual, so the island tour I was looking forward to was greatly diminished in enjoyment due to heavy rain. I apologize for this evaluation being based on the weather rather than the tour itself, but please understand it as a reflection of the experience.

I should have been surrounded by the blue sky and blue sea, creating a rare experience. Even with the cloudy skies and heavy rain, I managed to enjoy it to some extent, but my expectations were too high. (laughs)

The gelato at Yubu Island Chaya was delicious. I felt a bit sad that Taketomi Island has become more touristy compared to my visit 20 years ago.

Next time, I hope to use the tour again on a sunny day and give it a perfect score.

八重山地方が例年よりかなり早く梅雨入りしてしまったため、楽しみにしていた離島ツアーは大雨で楽しさ半減以下でした。

This isn't my first time, but I chose to spend 40 minutes on the glass-bottom boat at Kabira Bay. You can clearly see the boundary line between the freshwater coral reef and the seawater. The pilot asked, "Shall we go a little ahead?" and immediately a guest exclaimed, "There it is! It was swimming!" The pilot was surprised and said, "Really?" We were able to see several sea turtles slowly walking by. In Hawaiian superstition, turtles bring good luck... It turned out to be a fun trip. I'm glad I could share enjoyable moments with everyone on board. I've sent the videos I took to my friends and I'm reminiscing about it myself.

They efficiently took us around the sightseeing spots. The weather was rainy, but I've heard that Kabira Bay looks beautiful on both sunny and rainy days. The tour of Ishigaki Island was very satisfying. The pickup was on time, and the tour guidance was truly thorough. However, the water buffalo tour on Taketomi Island was quite disappointing. When I communicated that we wanted to take the bus to the ferry terminal since everyone was gathered, the staff member silently waved their right hand as if to say "hurry up and get on." When we arrived at the ferry terminal, we were dropped off at a distant location and had to run through heavy rain to reach the terminal. I was really looking forward to it, so it was quite a disappointing tour.

I had booked the glass board and water buffalo cart course, but I accidentally got mixed up with a different tour. At the water buffalo cart boarding area, the staff contacted the person in charge of the glass board tour for me. Even though the glass board tour had already ended, they kindly allowed us to set sail, and we were able to see beautiful corals and fish, successfully experiencing both activities.

Also, the water buffalo named Mabuya was adorable, and I was healed by the sound of the sanshin and the guide's singing!

The rental car was too expensive, so we requested this service, and it was the right choice! It was smoother than moving around by ourselves, and we learned a lot about Ishigaki Island. There were so many things we discovered for the first time, like the island's unique plants and foods, which was very educational. Although the weather was unfortunate, we were taken to the places we wanted to go, and we received great guidance. We were shown a delicious place for Yaeyama soba and taken to a shop that locals often visit, where we even got some pineapples! It was a very enjoyable time, and we were extremely satisfied!

Relaxing three-island tour ゆったり３島巡り

I used Beltora for the first time in a while. The weather was a bit unpredictable with clouds, sunshine, and sudden downpours, but I had a great time. Since I wanted to explore the islands on Ishigaki Island for the first time, I chose a hotel near the terminal. Iriomote Island is full of nature, including mangroves. On the way to Yubu Island, we suddenly encountered a downpour! The water buffalo was lively, though! I had to buy a raincoat to get to the restaurant, and as expected, the downpour stopped right after, and the return trip on the water buffalo cart was sunny (laughs).

Lunch was a standard bento, and nothing particularly memorable stood out. The water buffalo cart on Taketomi Island had great weather, and the water buffalo, Manei-kun, was lively too! We toured the island while listening to the brother's sanshin song, even though walking was clearly faster. It was a cycle of walking a few steps and stopping in the shade. We took a sightseeing bus to the beach with star sand and managed to find and pick up a little bit of star sand. It was nice that there was someone from the same hotel among the tour participants.

初めての石垣島で離島巡りをしたかったのでホテルをターミナル近くにしました

仕方なくレストランまでのためにカッパ買ったら案の定スコール直ぐにやんで帰りの水牛車は晴れました（笑）

竹富島の水牛車はお天気もよく水牛の真栄君も元気良く！
歩いた方が明らかに早い真栄君水牛車に乗ってお兄さんの三線唄聞きながら島巡りしました。４～５歩歩いて日陰で止まる感じ。の繰り返し
星の砂があるビーチまで観光バスで行き頑張って星の砂少しだけど探して拾えました。
たまたまツアー参加者の中に同じホテルの方がいて良かったです。

Lunch on Yufu Island was delicious, featuring various local ingredients. There was plenty of food, so make sure to come hungry.

I wasn't quite sure about the bus tour details until I participated, so I'll outline the route I took. First, we spent about 15 minutes searching for star sand at Kaiji Beach. The guide will show you how to look for it. If you want to take some home, it's a good idea to bring a ziplock bag for the star sand. We didn't stop at Kondoi Beach, so if you want to go there, consider the rental bicycle plan. After that, we took a stroll down the streets of traditional houses on Taketomi Island. Along the way, we enjoyed ice pops from a local shop and took photos on the street.

This tour involves checking in in the morning to receive tickets for the boat and activities, then gathering at the designated time to have your tickets collected before moving on to the experiences. You'll travel on the same boat as customers from other tour companies.

Seating on the boat is first-come, first-served, so if you want a window seat or to sit with your family, make sure to arrive at the time indicated for boarding. The weather was nice, and the scenery was truly beautiful. Especially Kabira Bay. It was lovely from every angle. We also encountered sea turtles on the glass-bottom boat. We visited Cape Manzamo and saw wild boars, peacocks, and crowned eagles. I was very satisfied.

I was helped by being taken to Ishigaki Airport on the way back. Kabira Bay was very nice, but Tamatorizaki Observatory was amazing! Since I was traveling alone, participating in this course was more reasonable than renting a car. Plus, I could enjoy some drinks.

帰りの石垣空港まで送ってくれるので、助かりました、川平湾も大変良かったですが、玉取崎展望台の方が、凄かった～。一人旅なので、レンタカー借りるより、このコースに参加したほうが、リーズナブルです。お酒も飲めますしね

Since there were other tour groups as well, I was initially a bit anxious about making it back on time (the return times varied slightly depending on the tour company). However, at key points, the staff confirmed our names and provided precise instructions tailored to each tour, allowing me to relax and enjoy the experience. Of course, I returned safely on my tour's boat.

During the water buffalo cart ride, I spent the entire time looking at the buffalo's rear, but there was a surprise at the end where we could take a photo together, which made for a great keepsake. I was also able to learn a lot about the island from the guide, and even though my stay was short, I feel like I got to know the island more deeply.

During the free time, I was able to move at my own pace, which was also very nice. This tour allows you to experience the best of both organized tours and independent travel, so I highly recommend it.
