I went because my husband invited me.
I was aiming to see the starry sky, but I was able to see various creatures like insects, coconut crabs, and bats.
I also noticed that the staff were very attentive and answered all sorts of questions like "What is this?"
I was able to take a commemorative photo with a coconut crab, and we went to Octopus Park, where I could see a beautiful starry sky and the moon that are hard to find in the city.
Before joining this tour, I tried to go to Octopus Park during the day, but it felt a bit scary even in daylight.
However, on the tour, there were familiar staff and other tourists, so it was enjoyable.
Also, since the creatures you can see vary depending on the day, I thought I would like to go again when I have children.

ツアーだと慣れているスタッフの方や他の観光客の方もいらっしゃるので楽しく行けました。
また、その日によって見られる生き物が違うので子どもが産まれたらまた行きたいなあ、などとも思いました。

I was able to see the giant golden-crowned flying fox and the natural monument, the hermit crab, quite well! I couldn't encounter the coconut crab, but the guide bravely found one inside its nest for us to see! However, it seems to have hidden while the participants were taking turns looking, so I missed out on that, but I'm grateful to the guide for continuing to search until the end!!

Also, the starry sky was incredibly beautiful, and I was impressed by how well the guide explained the constellations!

On January 26th, the first day of my stay in Miyako Island, I imagined that the thick clouds during the day meant I wouldn't be able to see the starry sky. However, I was excited about the night exploration.

Walking in complete darkness, relying only on the flashlight, we had a great time as the guide explained various things and searched for coconut crabs.

In the end, it was disappointing that we only found bats and couldn't see the stars or the coconut crabs, but I thought it was understandable given the season.

Still, it was fun!

Since this was the first activity of my stay, the guide also recommended some delicious places to eat and shared knowledge about plants during the tour, which was helpful for sightseeing on the following days.

Next time, I want to go during a season when I can see the stars and coconut crabs for a rematch!

1月26日滞在初日の宮古島は昼間から雲が厚く星空は期待出来ないのは想像ついていました。
まあでも夜の探検は面白そうだなってワクワクでした。
真っ暗な中、懐中電灯の明かりだけを頼りに歩きながら色々な事を説明してくれたり、ヤシガニを捜索しながら歩いたり、楽しい時間を過ごしました。

結局星空もヤシガニも観れずコウモリを見つけただけで残念でしたが、季節柄仕方ないな〜と思います。

でも、楽しかった♡

滞在初日の初アクティビティでしたので、ガイドのお兄さんに美味しいお店を教えて貰ったり、植物の知識もツアー中入れてくれたので2日目以降の観光の参考になったので良かったです♡

However, the meeting point was a bit hard to find at night, and I got lost. I think it's better to allow a little extra time for the meeting time to feel more at ease. When I called for inquiries, the staff member was very pleasant and provided detailed guidance, so overall, I was satisfied!

Our guide was very young and fresh. It was fun to learn not only about the creatures but also about the plants and the history of Miyako Island. Additionally, the ground is paved, so I don't think it will get muddy even if the weather is bad. I recommend wearing long sleeves, long pants, and shoes, as you might get bitten by insects.

We took a 2-night, 3-day mother-daughter trip to Miyako Island for the first time. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't favorable, and we couldn't participate in any sea activities, so we were glad to join this night tour.

The tour takes you through complete darkness, relying on the light of flashlights. It was so dark that we couldn't have progressed without our guide, and I think it's an experience you can't have in everyday life.

Unfortunately, we didn't encounter any coconut crabs, but we were able to learn about the plants as we walked and see spiders and bats that we had never seen before.

Since it was cloudy, we couldn't see the beautiful starry sky, but it was a valuable experience.

This was my first time in Miyako Island, and I joined the tour because I wanted to see the beautiful starry sky! Not only did I get to see the stars, but I also had a very valuable experience connecting with the nature of Miyako Island (≧∀≦).

My first night tour in Miyako Island!
It started to rain along the way, but thanks to the tree tunnel, I stayed dry, and the humidity allowed us to see a lot of coconut crabs!
I was very satisfied to see many scorpions, geckos, and insects as well.
Unfortunately, we couldn't see the starry sky, but it turned out to be a really fun tour!
The guide was also very cheerful, which was soothing. Haha!
I was grateful for all the photos taken!
Everyone in the group was really nice, and we had a great time together, which was a big win!

However, it was canceled due to rain. Our long-awaited dream was unfulfilled. This time, we planned a trip to Miyako Island just the two of us, and thought, "Oh! Stargazing might be nice," so we signed up. Leading up to our departure, the forecast was rain, rain, rain, rain... I thought it was over, but then reality turned out to be clear skies.

On the night of the event, we headed to the stargazing spot. First, the female instructor from Tokyo who assisted us was incredible. No, she was a goddess.
