Meeting at the Port & Check-in (Hamakawa Fishing Port)
Depart on our company-owned boats, Yuyu-maru or Pinker, for a stable and comfortable ride. Yuyu-maru: 24 seats, private restroom, viewing deck. Pinker: 32 seats, separate restrooms, viewing deck. Boat varies by booking status.

Your whale watching adventure begins! Get an up-close look at these magnificent creatures and enjoy every exciting and moving moment.
Blow: The action of spouting water.
Fluke up/down: Lifting the tail above the surface before diving.
Peduncle arch: A diving posture where the dorsal fin becomes visible.
Tail slap: Slapping the tail on the surface of the water.
Head slap: Striking the water surface with the head.
Pec slap: Slapping the surface with the pectoral fins.
Spyhop: Rising vertically to peek above the surface.
Breaching: Leaping out of the water and rotating.
Dolphins: You may also encounter dolphin pods at times.

Restrictions
- For the safety and well-being of our guests, pregnant individuals are not permitted to board.
- The tour may be canceled if the minimum number of participants is not met.
Additional notes
- Whales are wild animals, so sightings are not guaranteed. However, past data shows a high encounter rate—99% in 2010, 98% in 2011, and 98% in 2012.
- We will operate the tour in light rain, but departures may be canceled for safety reasons in cases of rough sea conditions, heavy rain, lightning, or thick fog.
If the tour is canceled, we will notify you the day before or early in the morning on the day of the tour. - Depending on the wind and waves, your clothing may get wet, so we recommend wearing warm and waterproof attire.
- 【Facility Usage Fee (Pay on Site)】
At Hamakawa Fishing Port (in front of the Chatan Fishermen’s Cooperative management office), an additional facility usage fee will be charged for restroom and parking use. Thank you for your understanding.
200 JPY per person (adult and child) Pay on site (cash only) - Whales are wild animals, so sightings are not guaranteed. If no whales are found, a full refund or free re-boarding will be offered. (Refund/re-boarding period: February 1–March 10, 2026.)
However, this guarantee does not apply if any of the following occurs:
・A blow (spout) is spotted in the distance
・Multiple participants confirm seeing a whale - Please note that the schedule may vary depending on whale sightings.
Required items to bring & attire
- We recommend bringing warm clothing, as winter in Okinawa can be cold.
For women, comfortable pants such as jeans and low-heeled shoes like sneakers are safest.
Please also bring a simple raincoat or other light rain gear. - As the cruise lasts about 3 hours, the boat may sway depending on the sea conditions.
If you are concerned about motion sickness, we recommend taking medication beforehand. - Bringing your own food and drinks is allowed.

- Any cancellations made between 00:00 local time, 1 business days to 23:59 local time, 1 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
- Any cancellations made after 23:59 local time, 1 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.
