Aharen Beach Free Time & Whale Watching on Tokashiki Island
Overview
Schedule
Meet at Naha Miegusuku Port.
Depart for Tokashiki Island.
■Aharen Beach
A popular beach with about 800 m of soft white sand. The calm bay and coral-rich waters are great for spotting tropical fish.
■Lunch
Curry rice lunch is provided.
Not included for children booked at the infant rate.
Depart from Aharen Beach for Tokashiki Port.
Depart from Tokashiki Island for whale watching.
Whales are wild, so seeing them up close is even more thrilling—enjoy dynamic whale watching.
If whales are found, viewing is expected to last about 1 hour, but we may return early depending on sea conditions, whale activity, and guest conditions. Sightings are not guaranteed.
Lucky sightings—catch a glimpse of wild whale behaviors!
“Blow” (spout) is the spray you see when a whale surfaces to breathe. The powerful sound and several-meter-high mist make it an impressive sight, and a key sign for spotting whales.
A “fluke” is when a whale lifts its large tail as it dives deep after blowing. Each tail has unique markings, which can be used to identify individual whales.
One of the most dynamic whale behaviors—leaping into the air and splashing back into the sea, sometimes on its back, belly, or side.
Return to port and tour ends. Timing may vary depending on whale sightings.
