I thought it would take a long time to visit Kyoto on my own, so I participated in this bus tour that included all the places I wanted to see. I was surprised to see so many foreigners, but I was impressed by how the guide handled everything in both Japanese and English. There were three of us Japanese people, and the rest were foreigners, making it a full house. There were so many foreigners in various places in Kyoto. There were also Japanese school trips, so it was crowded everywhere... It was hard to get through the crowds no matter where we wanted to go. Most people around us were not wearing masks. A group from Korea was on the same bus, which was interesting. There was a male tour guide who seemed to be with them, and he was giving a long explanation to his guests using a microphone, but I wished he would lower his volume a bit; it was quite uncomfortable. He was talking extensively about the history of Okinawa to just a few guests, but it was unfortunate for those who had to listen. It was uncomfortable because we could hear him too, and it had nothing to do with our trip. I thought, why not just rent a bus and do it there?

While I was looking at photos of the interior of Kinkaku-ji, some men from an unknown country squeezed in front of me and started taking pictures and explaining things. I felt a sense of racial discrimination. It felt like the atmosphere was saying, "An Asian woman alone is in the way, so move." It made me sad in Kyoto.

I also felt uncomfortable watching the foreigners on our bus being affectionate with each other. On the other hand, the guide provided many explanations in Japanese for the few Japanese people, so I was able to enjoy some free exploration.

日本人は私とあと2人。他は外人で満席京都各所に外人だらけ。日本人の修学旅行もいて人人人…見たいどこ行くにも人をかき分けて。周りはほぼノーマスク。韓国の団体さんがバスに同乗してましたがそういうこともあるんですね。そちらに添乗員らしき男性が付いてて、自分の客に向けて長ーくマイクで案内していたがもう少し声のボリュームを下げてほしかった、だいぶ不快でした。その男性添乗員沖縄の歴史だかを、ごく一部の客に長々話してたけど聞かされてる方も不憫。こっちにまでいやでも聞こえてくるので不快、この旅行には関係ないでしょう？別にバスを貸切してそこでやれば？と、思いました。
金閣寺の内部を写した写真を見てたら知らん国の男性たちが私の前に挟まって来てそこで写真撮影や説明を始めた。人種差別的なのも感じた。アジアの女1人邪魔だからどけよって空気。なんか京都で悲しくなりました。
うちのバスの外人さんもイチャイチャするのみてて不快。
一方、ガイドさんは少ない日本人のためにも日本語で多々案内してくれたのでフリー散策も楽しめました。

I participated in a tour of Kiyomizu-dera and other sites on September 19. The tour guide was a wonderful person. Most of the participants were from English-speaking countries, but there were a few Japanese people, including myself, and I think it was challenging for her to explain in both English and Japanese. She always maintained a smile and worked hard to provide clear and thorough explanations, which was very good. As the tour was coming to an end, everyone erupted into applause, almost like a standing ovation. Since it was a tour with foreign participants, there were many explanations in English and fewer in Japanese, which was a bit disappointing. It was difficult to walk while looking at the map to keep to the meeting time, and I was scared of getting lost. I wished the map was a bit clearer and that it showed the walking time as well.

I signed up for a tour of Osaka with my elderly mother, wanting to make the most of our limited time! Riding on the cute double-decker bus while listening to an easy-to-understand and enjoyable guide made for a very meaningful experience. Both the driver and the guide were very kind, and we had a comfortable and enjoyable time. I highly recommend this for tourists with a little extra time, as well as for locals looking for conversation starters! Next time, I would like to try the northern route if I have the chance!

I participated in a bus tour alone for the first time, and thanks to the tour guide and the driver, it turned out to be a truly fulfilling and enjoyable day! I wasn't confident about visiting four places on my own, so I'm glad I joined the bus tour! There were many foreign participants as well, so the tour guide's explanations in both Japanese and English were fantastic and enjoyable to listen to! I want to join another bus tour again.

It's a good idea to order lunch. The yudofu was delicious!

We opted for a meal at Kiyomizu-dera, but the portion was larger than I expected, so I think it's better to skip the meal if you want to try various foods. I had heard that Kyoto in the middle of summer is incredibly hot, so I signed up for a bus tour that took us to Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kiyomizu-dera, and Kinkaku-ji. My friend was cramping up and couldn't walk, so we decided to skip Arashiyama and got off the bus to return to the hotel. Considering the wait at the bus stop, I think joining the bus tour was the right choice.

It felt like an overseas trip while being in Japan, as most of the participants were from abroad.
The places we visited were ones I had been to before, but I was able to understand things I didn't know through the guide's explanations.
Kyoto can be challenging with limited parking and traffic congestion, but it was nice to feel secure while visiting.
The only disappointment was that lunch was more disappointing than I had expected.

また、訪問先は過去に行った事のある場所ですが、ガイドの説明で知らなかった事を理解する事ができました。

I participated in this tour with a foreign friend. It's been a long time since my school trip to Kyoto, so I couldn't guide, which is why I signed up for this tour. The schedule was tight and it was tough, but going around on my own would have been impossible. I'm really glad I signed up. Since we listened to the announcements on the bus before exploring, I was able to have some knowledge while going around. I was anxious about getting around an unfamiliar area by rental car or public transportation, so the bus tour, which allowed us to visit tourist spots on time, was very efficient and great. Additionally, the explanations of attractions and points of interest during the journey allowed me to appreciate places I hadn't researched beforehand. Since subways and buses tend to be crowded with many foreign tourists, I think this is highly recommended for those visiting Kyoto for the first time.

慣れない土地をレンタカーや公共交通機関で回るのに不安だったため、時間通りで観光地を回れるバス観光はとても効率的で良かったです。

I took a bus from Umeda to Namba, and from there I went to Fushimi Inari Taisha. Kiyomizu-dera, Kinkaku-ji, and Arashiyama require a bit of walking after getting off the bus, but the bus schedule was set perfectly, so there was no need to rush. I found a bus tour from Osaka to Kyoto and decided to participate. The deciding factor was that it seemed like a great way to efficiently and comfortably explore the hot summer in Kyoto. During the sightseeing, I walked a lot, the temperature was high, the sun was intense, and I was drenched in sweat, but a cool bus was waiting for us. After rehydrating, I could take a nap on the way to the next sightseeing spot. Thanks to that, I was able to conserve my energy and enjoy the tour until the end.

This time, lunch was also included. When we headed from the parking lot to the lunch venue, everything was already prepared, so we could eat right away without wasting any time. The tempura was delicious and crispy, even though it had cooled down.

There were many foreign participants, but the guide was Japanese, and the Japanese explanation was given first, so I had no worries at all. The guide also provided explanations about the sightseeing spots and was kind enough to take photos for us.

参加の決め手は、暑い夏の京都を効率よく、かつ涼しく観光できそうだったからです。観光中は、歩くし、気温も高く、太陽は熱く、汗だくになりましたが、涼しいバスがまっていました。水分補給したら、次の観光地までひと眠りできます。おかげで、体力温存できたので最後まで、楽しむことができました。

参加者は、外国の方がたくさんいましたが、ガイドさんは日本人だったし、日本語の案内が一番最初にあったので何も不安はなかったです。

Since it was a hassle to research and plan in advance, I decided to book a tour for the first time. They also helped with purchasing tickets, and since there was a lot of free time at each location, I was glad I could visit the places I was interested in. There were power outlets on the bus, so I was able to charge my phone with my own cable, which saved me from using my mobile battery.

The tour ended at 5 PM, and since lunch was from 11:30 AM, I was able to eat slowly without getting too hungry. The free time was about an hour, so the movements felt a bit rushed, but I was happy to be able to visit the classic tourist spots.

事前に調べて計画して行くのが面倒だったため
始めてツアーを予約してみました
チケットも買いに行ってもらえるし
現地着くたび自由行動が多いので気になる所に行けてよかったです
バスの中にはコンセントがあったので持参のコードで携帯の充電も出来てモバイルバッテリーを使わずにすんだので助かりました

17時終了のためお昼ご飯が11時30分からだったのでお腹空かずゆっくり食べてしまったのと
自由行動が1時間前後なのでちょっと慌ただしい移動になりましたが定番観光巡りが出来てよかったです
