It was my first time in Yakushima, and both the scenery and the weather were great. Especially, our guide, Mr. Hidaka, was very knowledgeable and his explanations were easy to understand.

初めての屋久島でしたが、
景色も天気も特にガイドの日高さんが博識で説明が分かりやすくで良かったです。

On the last day in Yakushima, I participated in a half-day tour around the island before my return time. We explored the UNESCO World Heritage forest, and each part was explained to us in detail. It was a very fulfilling tour.

I participated alone.
To explore Yakushima thoroughly, a rental car is necessary, but if you're not confident in driving, I highly recommend this tour.
- There were about 20 participants on the day, and I got the impression that there were many middle-aged and older individuals.
- The tour guide provided smooth and polite explanations and conducted the tour well.
- I saw monkeys and deer. There were really a lot of them, which was exciting.
- I only participated in the morning since I had a flight in the afternoon, but I think it's a flexible tour that allows for morning-only participation. Additionally, after the morning tour, the guide kindly showed me the bus stop for the airport bus I would take in the afternoon and even asked if I needed a ride partway.
- Actually, on the morning of the tour, I took the first bus from my accommodation near Nagata Beach to the meeting place. I had communicated this when making the reservation, and they changed the meeting point to a location near the port for my convenience. The bus guide was also waiting in an easy-to-find spot. I think this company has many kind people.

On days other than the tour, I visited Jomon Sugi and Shiratani Unsuikyo. I recommend fitting this tour in between visits to Jomon Sugi and Shiratani Unsuikyo or taking it on the last day for a leisurely exploration. You can experience the charm of Yakushima beyond just the mountains.

一人で参加いたしました。
屋久島をぐるっと回るためにはレンタカーが必要となりますが、運転に自信がない場合はこのツアーが大変おすすめです。
・当日は20名くらいの参加者で、全体的に中高年の方が多い印象でした。
・ツアーガイドさんはスムーズかつ丁寧な説明とツアー運行でした。
・サルや鹿も見られました。本当にたくさんいるので興奮しました。
・私は当日午後の飛行機で帰るため午前だけの参加でしたが、午前のみ参加もできる点が融通が利くツアーだなと思います。また、午前のツアーが終わった後も、ガイドさんが午後に乗る空港行きのバス停を教えてくれたり、途中まで乗せていくか聞いてくださったり親切でした。
・実は当日の朝、私は永田浜(いなか浜)近くの宿から始発のバスで集合場所に向かったのですが、そのことを予約の時から伝えていたところ、私が分かりやすいように港近くの集合に変更してくださったり、バスガイドさんも分かりやすい所で待っていたりしてくださっていました。皆さん親切な方が多い会社なのだと思います。

私はこのツアーの日以外は縄文杉、白谷雲水峡に行っていました。縄文杉と白谷雲水峡の合間の日にこのツアーを入れたり、最終日にのんびり回るというのもおすすめです。山の中だけでない屋久島の魅力を感じることができます。

Typhoon No. 12 and No. 13 approached the Japanese archipelago one after another, and despite concerns from those around me, I made my third trip to Yakushima.

Somehow, Typhoon No. 13 veered off, and the plane flew, allowing us to land in Yakushima! On September 16, I was able to join a tour on the Yakuzaru. We departed from the Iwasaki Hotel.

My companion, the gajumaru tree, was the largest I had ever seen in Japan. And the Ohkawa Waterfall—seeing such a powerful waterfall up close is truly unmatched. It was overwhelming!

On the Seibu Forest Road, I was able to see wild Yakuzaru and deer up close, and they were so cute.

However, from here, the rain intensified due to the effects of Typhoon No. 14, and we had to move quickly. Nevertheless, the bento was substantial and satisfying. The fried flying fish was also delicious.

Unfortunately, participants in the afternoon tour could not make it to Yakushima due to worsening weather, so, regrettably, Yakusugi Land was cut from the itinerary.

We did visit the ancient cedar, which was also impressive, and I was able to touch it and receive the power of nature! Being able to see so much in one day was definitely worth it!

台風12号、13号と続けざまに日本列島に近づき、周囲から心配されつつ三度目の屋久島へ
なんとか台風13号が反れ飛行機が飛び屋久島へ上陸！
9/16にやくざる号で周遊ツアーに参加出来ました！
いわさきホテルから出発でした。
仲間のがじゅまるは、国内で見た中で一番大きかったです。そして、大川の滝、あれだけ迫力のある滝を間近で見られるのは、他に無いのでは？思いました。圧倒されます！
西武林道では、野生のやくざるや鹿などが間近で見られ、とても可愛かったです。
ここから台風14号の影響で雨足が強くなりサクサクとこなさなければならなくなってきました～
しかし、お弁当は、しっかりボリュームがあり食べこたえありました。飛び魚の唐揚げも美味しかったです。
午後からのツアー参加者が屋久島に来れず。天候も更に悪化してきた為、残念ながらやくすぎランドは、カットとなりました
そして、紀元杉へこれまた迫力のある大杉しっかり触って自然のパワーを頂きました！
1日でこれだけ回れたら値打ちがありますね！

Since there were no other participants, I was able to join in a private session, and I really enjoyed the driver's thorough explanations and the charm of Yakushima!

他に参加者がいなかったため、貸切で参加させていただきましたがドライバーさんの丁寧な説明と屋久島の魅力を教えていただきとっても楽しめました！

This is a bus tour around Yakushima guided by a local driver who loves the island.

The explanations were clear and thorough, and I could really feel the spirit of Yakushima. At Seibu Forest Road, I was able to see the Yakuzaru and Yakushima deer.

I participated in the morning tour only, but it was just right to end with the beautiful sea and beach after trekking through Shiratani Unsuikyo and Jomon Sugi.

説明もわかりやすく丁寧、更に屋久島スピリットも感じました。西武林道では、やくざる、やくしかも見ることができました。

午前中だけのツアー参加でしたが、白谷雲水峡、縄文杉トレッキング後のため、綺麗な海や浜で終わるのがちょうどよかったです。

On the last day of my trip to Yakushima, my return flight was after 2 PM, so I took advantage of a half-day tour in the morning. It was great to visit places that I wouldn't have been able to cover on my own. The driver's explanations were very interesting and informative, making for an enjoyable time! I also appreciated that they took photos for me, which was a nice touch for a solo traveler. Fortunately, the weather was good, and everywhere I went had stunning views. I was able to see many monkeys and deer along the Western Forest Road, creating wonderful memories. I highly recommend this for any free time or after a tiring day of hiking!

屋久島旅行の最終日、帰りの飛行機が14時過ぎだったので午前中の半日コースを利用しました。
なかなか自分では回りきれない場所をまとめて行けるのでとても良かったです。
運転手さんの説明もとても面白く、ためになる内容ばかりで楽しい時間を過ごすことができました！写真も撮っていただけるのもひとり旅には嬉しかったです。
幸い天気も良く、どこに行っても素晴らしい景色で、西部林道ではサルもシカもたくさん見ることができ素敵な思い出になりました☆
空いた時間や登山で疲れた翌日などにオススメです！

My first time in Yakushima, and since the Jomon Sugi was quite a hard trek, I took the Yakuzaru bus for a round trip.

By chance, there were only five of us in a ten-seater vehicle, and we were able to capture some great shots of the dancing deer.

I also got to see waterfalls, banyan trees, Yakuzaru monkeys, and Yakujika deer. At Yakusugi Land, I saw and touched the ancient cedar trees and took photos… is it about half the size of Jomon Sugi? I heard that you can only see Jomon Sugi from 20 meters away, but this place was even better.

There were various shapes of cedar trees, like the Edo period stump, the tunnel cedar, the twin cedar, and the Buddha cedar, all surrounded by beautiful moss, making for a leisurely and enjoyable stroll.

The guide was also a fun person, providing detailed explanations and guidance, making it a fantastic trip.

初めての屋久島、縄文杉はハード高いので、ヤクザル号で一周して来ました、
たまたまなのか？　10人乗りの位の車に5人参加、しっかりとデスダンス取れてました、

滝、ガジュマル、ヤクザル、ヤクジカにも会えました
ヤクスギランドでは紀元杉を見て、触って、写真も撮り…縄文杉の半分位？とか？　
縄文杉は20m離れてしか見れないと聞きましたがこちらの方が最高、
江戸時代の切り株とか、くぐり杉、双子杉、仏陀杉〜色々な形の杉が　綺麗な苔も有り　ゆっくりと散策出来て楽しかったです

ガイドさんも楽しい方で、丁寧な説明、案内、最高の旅が出来ました

During the tour, our return ferry was canceled due to a typhoon, and we had to rush to the airport. However, the driver was very attentive and helped us out a lot! The conversations were interesting and enjoyable, and I’m really glad I participated! I also had many encounters with deer and other wildlife, which became great memories. Thank you very much!

ツアー中、台風で帰りの船が欠航になり、急遽空港へ向かわないといけなくなったのですが、ドライバーさんかなり親身に色々対応していただき本当に助かりました！！お話も面白くて楽しく、本当に参加して良かったです！やくざる、やくシカにもたくさん出会えて良い思い出になりました。ありがとうございました。

I was really looking forward to the Yakuzaru bus that goes around the island since I can't drive. With a regular bus, you often have to walk uphill for a while even after you arrive at the stop, so the tour was very convenient. Unfortunately, it was a remote island day, so we only had the morning without lunch, but I would like to visit Yakusugi Land next time! On another day, I had flying fish at the Furusato Market, and it was crispy and delicious. Some other sites didn't have the Yakuzaru bus available, so I was glad I could make a reservation with VELTRA.

車を運転できないので島を一周できるやくざる号をとても楽しみにしていました。路線バスだと停留所に着いてもしばらく坂道を歩かないといけなかったりするのでツアーはすごく楽ちん。生憎離島日だったので昼食なしの午前中のみになりましたが、次はヤクスギランドにも行ってみたいです！別日にふるさと市場でトビウオを食べましたが、さくさくかりかりで美味しい。他のサイトだとやくざる号の設定がなかったりするので、VELTRAさんで予約できて良かったです。

I arrived at Yakushima in the morning, so I joined an afternoon tour. The buses to Yakusugi Land and the Jomon Sugi are infrequent, and the winding mountain roads, along with the sight of landslide remnants, made it a good decision to join the tour. As soon as we arrived at Yakusugi Land, it started to rain, but the driver guided us through Yakusugi Land, allowing us to enjoy the sights without getting lost. By the time we were leaving, the rain had stopped, and we even encountered a Yakushima deer. I also heard some fun stories about Yakushima, making it a satisfying tour despite the short duration.

午前中に屋久島に着く飛行機だったので午後からのツアーに参加しました。ヤクスギランドや紀元杉へ行くバスは本数が少なく、またくねくね曲がった山道、しかも崖崩れの跡を見ながら進んでいくので、ツアー参加にして正解でした。ヤクスギランドについた途端雨が降り出したのですが、ドライバーさんがヤクスギランドの中も案内してくださったので迷わずにポイントを押さえた観光ができました。帰る頃には雨も上がり、ヤクシカにも出会えました。屋久島にまつわる楽しい話も聞けて短時間でしたが満足できるツアーでした。

The one-day course allows you to circle the island and visit all the main attractions, so it's recommended if you have a day free. The guide shares various interesting facts, so just listening will make you knowledgeable about Yakushima. We were able to see many monkeys and deer up close on the Western Forest Road. The flying fish for lunch was also delicious. The main event in the afternoon is Yakusugi Land, but unfortunately, it rained, and since it's at a high elevation, it was cold... However, the atmosphere was very nice, and I think those who find the Jomon Sugi trekking too long can enjoy enough charm at Yakusugi Land.

1日コースでは島内を1周して主な見どころを全て周れるので、1日空いているならオススメです。ガイドさんは色々豆知識とかをずっと話してくれるので、聞いているだけで屋久島に詳しくなれます。西部林道ではたくさんの猿や鹿を間近で見れました。お昼の飛魚も美味しかったです。午後からがメインのヤクスギランドですが、あいにく雨が降ってしまって標高も高いので寒かったです…。しかし雰囲気はとても良く、縄文杉トレッキングが長すぎて無理…という人はヤクスギランドで十分魅力を味わえると思いました。

I participated in early August. It was great to actually see monkeys and deer, and the guide was wonderful! I'm glad I decided to join!

8月の上旬に参加しました。猿や鹿を実際に見ることができ、ガイドさんも素敵な方でとてもよかったです！参加を決めて正解でした！

I highly recommend it for those who don't have much time and aren't confident in driving. You can take a tour around the island's attractions!

It's great that there are three different options. It was helpful to be able to choose according to my schedule. I think having a microphone for the outdoor explanations would be better, as those in the back can't hear.

3つのパターンがあるのがいいですね。
自分のスケジュールに合わせて選べるので助かりました。
外での説明はマイクがあったほうがよりいいと思います。

I used the service on August 13. They picked me up at my hotel in Miyano-ura in the morning and dropped me off at my hotel in Awa in the evening. Since my large luggage was stored in the luggage compartment, it was comfortable. We were able to efficiently visit the sightseeing points in Yakushima, and the bus guide's explanations helped me understand Yakushima very well. We were blessed with good weather, and I was able to relax and enjoy the nature of Yakushima while being gently rocked by the bus all day. The flying fish dish for lunch was also delicious.

8月13日に利用しました。朝宮之浦のホテルに向かえに来てもらい、夕方安房のホテルまで送ってもらいました。大きな荷物は荷物室に入れてもらったので快適でした。屋久島の観光ポイントを効率よく回れますし、バスガイドさんの説明があるので屋久島のことがとてもよくわかります。お天気にも恵まれ、一日バスに揺られてのんびり屋久島の自然を楽しむことができました。お昼のトビウオ料理も美味しかったです。

I found this tour when I was unsure what to do for a day since I hadn't reserved a rental car. We toured the sightseeing spots in a small bus and were able to circle the island. The guide's stories were enjoyable, and I learned a lot about Yakushima's history. The bento we had for lunch was quite filling and delicious. It was great that I could drink beer in the afternoon since I wasn't driving.

レンタカーを予約してなかったので1日どうしようか迷っていた時にこのツアーを見つけました。
小型のバスで観光地を巡り、島を一周出来ました。ガイドさんの話しも楽しく、屋久島の歴史など大変勉強になりました。お昼に食べたお弁当も結構なボリュームで美味しかったです。自分が運転しないから昼からビールが飲めるのが最高でした。

I encountered Yakushima macaques and Yakushima deer on the Seibu Forest Road. There were also sea turtles. For those without a license, it was very helpful to be taken to various sightseeing spots. It was a satisfying day.

西部林道で、屋久ザル、屋久シカに会えました。
ウミガメもいました。免許の無い者にとって、色々観光スポットへ連れて行ってくれるので、
大変助かりました。

I requested this because it was my first visit to Yakushima! They efficiently took us around the main spots. People of all ages, from the elderly to children, can participate without any difficulty, and of course, adults had a great time too!

The guide was extremely knowledgeable about Yakushima, with rich insights into its history, geography, biology, legends, folklore, and World Heritage status. They explained everything in an interesting way, and I was very moved. As soon as I got back, I recommended this tour to my friends.

It was a tour that condensed the charm of Yakushima with carefully selected sightseeing spots and a detailed guide's explanation. For lunch, we had fried flying fish as the main dish, accompanied by plenty of vegetables. They also prepared hot chawanmushi (savory egg custard). Yakusugi Land has well-maintained walking paths where you can stroll while soaking in negative ions. I recommend the 50-minute course for beginners. Since the bus goes up to the summit, those who are prone to motion sickness should prepare some anti-nausea medication.

選りすぐりの観光地と丁寧なガイドさんの説明で、屋久島の魅力が凝縮されたツアーでした。
ランチは飛び魚の唐揚げがメインでお野菜たっぷり。熱々の茶碗蒸しも用意してもらいました。屋久杉ランドは遊歩道が整備され、マイナスイオンを浴びながら散策できます。初心者は50分コースがおすすめ。バスは山頂まで登るので車酔いしやすい人は、酔い止めを準備しておいた方がよいと思います。

On the final day of my 2-night, 3-day trip to Yakushima, I participated in a morning tour. Although it was only half a day, thanks to the guide's extensive knowledge, I was able to fully enjoy Yakushima. Each stop lasted about 10 minutes, but the guide provided a thorough explanation of Yakushima's history while we were in the car, making the short time enjoyable. After getting off at Miyanoura Port, we took a local bus back to the airport, and the guide also shared recommendations for spots in Miyanoura and details about the bus routes. Thank you!

屋久島旅行2泊3日の最終日に午前一周プランに参加しました。
半日でしたが、ガイドさんの豊富な知識のおかげで屋久島を満喫できました。
ひとつひとつの滞在時間は10分程ですが、目的地に着くまでに、車内で屋久島の歴史について丁寧に解説してくださるので、短い時間でも十分楽しめました。
下車した宮之浦港からは、自分たちで路線バスで空港に戻りましたが、宮之浦でのおすすめスポット、路線バスの詳細も教えていただけました。

You can easily explore Yakushima by bus, and the guide provided detailed information about the history of Yakushima and the Yakusugi trees. While some may imagine a challenging trek to Jomon Sugi when thinking of Yakushima, I recommend this sightseeing bus tour for those who may not be confident in their physical strength or for older travelers.

バスで、屋久島を楽に見て回ることができ、ガイドさんも屋久島の歴史や屋久杉のことなどを詳しく教えてくれました。
屋久島と言えば、ハードな縄文杉のトレッキングを想像する方もおられるでしょうが、体力に自信のない方や、年配の方にはこの周遊バスツアーをお勧めします。

I experienced the half-day course in the morning. It was great to be able to circle the island in a short amount of time. Although the stay at each place was brief, I was satisfied with all the spots I visited, so it didn't bother me.

午前中の半日コースを体験しました。短い時間で島を一周する事ができよかったです。どこも滞在時間は短いですが、自分的にも見たら満足する場所ばかりなので気になりません。

This is my second visit to Yakushima. Since I already visited Jomon Sugi and Shiratani Unsuikyo last time, I decided to skip those and join a tour that goes around the island.

Basically, this one tour allows you to see almost all the places you want to visit on the island.

While driving a rental car might be a good option, the roads are quite narrow, about 1.5 lanes wide, and there are times when you have to pass oncoming traffic, which can be a bit challenging.

If you're not comfortable with narrow roads or driving in reverse, it might be a bit tough.

The guide had a wealth of knowledge, and I was able to hear a lot of related information beyond just sightseeing.

Personally, I found it very helpful that Yakushima Airport operates under visual flight rules. Without this information, it would have been difficult to return from Yakushima.

2度めの屋久島。前回来たときに縄文杉と、白谷雲水峡は行っているのでパスしこちらの島内1週ツアーに参加

基本的にはこれ1つで島内の見たいところはほぼ全部見れます

レンタカーを運転するのも良いかもしれませんが、1.5車線程しかない細い道で対面通行になることが少々あります

細い道でも問題なし、バックでの運転も全く問題なしという方以外はやや厳しいかもしれません

ガイドさんの知識量が豊富で観光以外の関連情報もたくさん聞けました

個人的には屋久島空港は有視界飛行という点が非常に助かりました。

この情報がなければ屋久島から帰ることが困難になったことでしょう

前日は午後にヤクスギランドや紀元杉を周ってこの日は西部林道や大川の滝を周るコースでした。
晴天で運転手さんも様々なことを丁寧にご説明してくださりとても楽しい半日を過ごすことができました。

The age group of participants is on the older side, but it's possible to get around without any difficulty. For those who do not use rental cars, taking the local buses for sightseeing is highly recommended.

参加者の年齢層は高めですが無理なく周ることが可能です。
レンタカーを利用しない人は路線バスを乗り継いで観光するよりずっとオススメです。

The only place I could go on a day when I couldn't visit Jomon Sugi or Shiratani Unsuikyo due to heavy rain. However, it was frightening to see water flowing down the mountainside like a waterfall.

縄文杉も白谷雲水峡も大雨で行けなかった日に唯一行けた。でも滝のような雨で山の斜面を水が流れ落ちていて怖かった

I was anxious about driving in an unfamiliar area, so I joined this tour. It was great to visit the highlights of Yakushima on a one-day course. You can also buy Yakushima souvenirs at the lunch stop. The included transportation was very appreciated.

　知らない土地で車を運転するのが不安だったので、こちらに参加しました。一日コースで屋久島観光の見どころを回れて良かったです。ランチのところ等で屋久島のお土産も買えます。
　送迎付きなのがとてもありがたかったです。

On May 9th, there were three participants, so our guide, Mr. Hidaka, drove the taxi and guided us. He was knowledgeable about the island's geology, plants, animals, history, and customs, and I was impressed by his thorough explanations.

5/9は参加者3名だったため、ガイドの日高さんがタクシーを運転し、ガイドをしてくださいました。島の地質、植物、動物、歴史、風習などにお詳しく、丁寧に教えて頂き感激でした。
