Yakushima cannot be explored without a car. In the morning, there is a bus that circles the island's main road, giving you a good sense of the area. The bus guide is experienced, and since it's a small bus, it can also travel on the western roads of the World Heritage area. We saw many deer and monkeys. The guide's explanations helped us understand more about the island. We arrived early in the morning on the ferry, so we took the bus to pass the time before checking into our accommodation, and it turned out to be better than expected. I was able to doze off a bit on the bus, and we also got off to enjoy the scenic spots like waterfalls and Inakahama Beach.

屋久島は車が無いと観光出来ません。
午前中は島内一周道路を周遊してくれるので、とりあえず感じが分かります。
バスガイドさんもベテランで、小型バスなので、世界遺産地域の西部道路も通行出来ます。
鹿や猿を沢山見ました。
島の事もガイドの説明で良く分かります。
私達は早朝のフェリーで着いたので、宿にチェックインするまでの時間潰しがてらに乗車しましたが、思いの外良かったです。
バスの中でウトウト寝る事も出来ましたし、見所の滝やいなか浜なども下車して楽しめました。

As forecasted, it started pouring rain halfway through. We managed to do some sightseeing up to Ōkawa Falls, and the volume of water in the falls was impressive thanks to the rain, but from around the Western Forest Road, it was like a downpour. I truly felt why Yakushima is said to have "35 days of rain in a month." However, after trekking quite a distance the day before and the day before that, we intended to enjoy the view from the bus on the final day, so we were able to appreciate the rainy scenery to some extent. Our guide had a warm and pleasant demeanor. After listening to the explanations, we could enjoy the scenery at just the right moments, so I thought they were a skilled guide. Although it was only half a day, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Thank you very much. (I reduced my rating by one because there were places where it was so rainy that we couldn't even get off.)

予報どおり、途中から土砂降りの雨でした。
大川の滝まではどうにか観光もでき、滝の水量も雨のおかげで迫力を感じるほどでしたが、西部林道あたりからはまるでスコール。これが屋久島は〝１か月のうち３５日が雨”といわれるゆえんだなと実感しました。
ですが、私たちは、前日前々日とかなりの距離のトレッキングをこなした後で、最終日は初めからバスからの車窓を楽しむつもりで乗ったので、雨の景色もそれなりに楽しむことができました。
ガイドさんがほんわかした雰囲気のとても感じのいい方でした。説明を聞いた後、ちょうど良いタイミングで景色が眺められるので、上手なガイドさんだなと思いました。
半日でしたが、のんびりと楽しむことができました。ありがとうございました。
（雨がすごすぎて、降りることすらできない場所があったので、評価一つ減らしました。）

After arriving by plane, I took a bus in heavy rain to Yakusugi Land, which is over 1,000 meters above sea level, and climbed to Jomon Sugi. I experienced quite an impressive baptism of rain. Since you never know when it will pour, having a rain suit for hiking is reassuring. On the morning of my departure, I also took a round trip on the sightseeing bus. During the ride, the rain became heavy again, and my hiking rain suit came in handy. Both drivers were experienced, so I felt safe during the ride. The explanations about Yakushima were also easy to understand.

飛行機で到着後、土砂降りの中、バスで標高1000メートル以上の屋久杉ランド、紀元杉まで登りました。なかなか迫力ある雨☂️の洗礼を受けました。いつ大降りになるかわからないので、登山用のレインスーツがあれば、安心ですね。帰る日の午前中も周遊バスに乗って一周しました。途中雨☂️が大降りになり、ここでも登山用のレインスーツが活躍しました。どちらの運転手さんもベテランで、安心して乗車できました。屋久島に関する説明もわかりやすかったです

You can take a bus to circle the island. The bus also makes it easy to access the Western Forest Road, so I think it's a good option for those who are anxious about driving. It was great to see many Japanese macaques and sika deer as well.

西部林道もこちらのバスで楽に行けるので車の運転が不安な方とかはこちらで行きやすいと思います。
ヤクザルもヤクシカもたくさん目撃できて良かったです。

My first time in Yakushima... Trekking to Jomon Sugi is tough for elderly people who are not used to hiking. I arrived early in the morning by ferry from Kagoshima. This tour makes full use of the entire day for sightseeing in Yakushima. In the morning, they picked us up and we went around the island, enjoying flying fish for lunch. In the afternoon, we headed towards Yakusugi Land. While you can take the same route by rental car, having a guide's explanations really helps you understand Yakushima better. If you're participating alone, it might feel a bit pricey, so I recommend going with someone else. We had valuable experiences on the one-day course, such as walking through Yakusugi Land and encountering Yakuzaru monkeys and deer along the Seibu Forest Road.

初めての屋久島… 縄文杉杉へのトレッキングは登山に慣れない高齢者には厳しいです。鹿児島からフェリーで早朝着。このツアーは丸々1日を有効に使って屋久島観光をします。朝、お迎えに来てくれて島一周をして飛び魚のランチ。午後から屋久杉ランド方面に登っていきました。レンタカーでも同じコースは行けますが、やはりガイドさんの説明があれば屋久島をより理解できます。1人参加だと割高？の気もしますので2人参加を勧めます。屋久島ランドでの屋久杉の中の散策したり、西部林道を歩きヤクザル、鹿との遭遇など1日コースで貴重な体験をしました。

The bus provides a shuttle service to the hotel, which is reassuring. Due to COVID-19 measures, each person uses two seats. The local bus guide shared stories from their childhood to the present, making the tour enjoyable. In fact, I had already visited Yakusugi Land and the Jomon Sugi by rental car the day before, but having a guide made everything clearer. The itinerary is packed, but the pace is relaxed, accommodating everyone from students to elderly individuals with canes. It was great to encounter Yakuzaru and Yakushika on the Eastern Forest Road.

コロナ対応で一人2座席利用。
地元育ちのバスガイドさんの子供時代から現在の話を交えてのガイドが楽しかったです。実は参加日の前の日にレンタカーでヤクスグランドと紀元杉以外は回っていたのですがガイドさんつきのほうがよくわかります。盛沢山ですがゆったりペースで回れるので学生の方から杖をついたおじいちゃんまでいらっしゃいました。
東部林道でヤクザル　ヤクシカにもあうことができてよかったです。

I signed up for a bus tour because I wasn't confident in my physical stamina. I don't think I would have been able to explore on my own. I was able to enjoy the tour while receiving a lot of information from the guide.

体力に自信がないため、バスツアーに申し込みました。

Yakusugi Land was included in the course. I assumed the entrance fee was included in the tour price, but it turned out to be an additional personal expense. I was surprised because the tour price itself didn't seem very reasonable.

コースに入っていた屋久杉ランド。当然入場料はツアー料金に含まれていると思っていたのですが、まさかの個人負担。ツアー料金の設定も決してお得感は高くないのに、ビックリしました。

It was fun because a professional guide took us around the island, unlike driving the car ourselves! I participated in a morning tour, which was supposed to end in Miyanoura, but when I mentioned that my flight time was tight, they kindly let me join a spot on the afternoon bus tour and took me to the airport! It was really helpful! Thank you so much!!

I arrived at Yakushima and participated in the afternoon tour. The guide was very knowledgeable, and I was able to see, hear, and enjoy many of Yakushima's attractions. I was worried about my stamina for the Jomon Sugi trekking the next day, but it was not a problem at all. Next time, I would like to join a full-day tour.

屋久島に着いて午後から参加しました。
ガイドの方の知識が豊富で、屋久島の魅力を沢山見て、聞いて、楽しめました。
次の日が縄文杉トレッキングで体力が心配でしたが、まったく問題なかったです。
次回は一日周遊ツアーに参加したいです。

The bus guide was someone who grew up in Yakushima, and I was able to hear many interesting behind-the-scenes stories. They also took a lot of photos for us, and we were able to see various things more leisurely than I had expected. I learned about and purchased a tankan, and I was surprised at how much sweeter it was than any other mandarin orange I've ever eaten! If I hadn't taken the Yakuzaru train, I would have returned home without knowing about it. I definitely want to recommend this to older people and those who may have difficulty walking. 😊

写真もたくさん撮ってくださり、思っていたよりもゆったりと色々見ることもできました。
教えていただいて、タンカンを購入したのですが、今まで食べたどのみかんよりも甘くて驚きました！！やくざる号に乗らなければ知らずに帰るところでした。ぜひ年配の方や歩行が不安な方などにもお勧めしたいです＾＾

The day before, I had been trekking to Jomon Sugi, so I thought I wouldn't be able to walk much that day... and I signed up for this tour. It takes you around Yakushima, visiting must-see spots at a good pace. In the World Heritage area, I was thrilled to encounter many Yakuzaru and Yakushika. Above all, the guide was really thorough and dedicated in their explanations, making it possible to become a Yakushima expert in just one day! Meals on these types of tours often don't meet expectations, but the flying fish for lunch on this tour was delicious.

前日、縄文杉トレッキングだったので、この日は歩けなさそう…と思い、申し込みました。
屋久島を一周し、見ておくべき場所をテンポ良くまわってくれます。世界自然遺産の地域では、たくさんのヤクザルやヤクシカに出会えて感激しました。
何より、ガイドさんが本当に丁寧に一生懸命説明してくれて、1日で屋久島通？になることができます！
こういったツアーの食事はあまり期待できないことも多いですが、このツアーのお昼のトビウオは美味しかったです。

Yakushima has a wealth of knowledge about its geography, history, and wildlife, and they teach you on the spot, making it very educational even if you don't do any research beforehand. I definitely want to participate again.

屋久島の地理、歴史、生物などあらゆる知識があり、その場その場で教えてくれるので、何も調べずに行ってもとても勉強になり、また参加したくなりました。

You can efficiently visit the sightseeing spots in Yakushima by bus. Although there were some distances between the spots, I was captivated by our guide Mr. Hidaka's talk and didn't feel any discomfort at all. Additionally, I was able to see many Yakushima macaques and Yakushima deer from the bus window, making it a very satisfying tour!

バスで効率的に屋久島の観光スポットを巡ることができます。
スポット間で少し距離がある場合もありましたが、ガイドの日高さんのトークに魅了され、全く苦に感じませんでした。
また、バス車窓から屋久猿や屋久鹿もたくさん見かけることができ、大満足のツアーでした！

I was able to circle Yakushima in half a day. The guide shared a lot of information about Yakushima while we were in the car. I highly recommend it.

In these times, overseas travel is not an option, so I've been traveling domestically on my own during the breaks between COVID-19. Actually, before the pandemic, I was a tour guide for overseas travel. Naturally, I tend to have a critical eye when it comes to travel, but I was truly satisfied with this tour.

First of all, it covered places that are difficult to visit individually, such as waterfall sightseeing and Yakusugi Land. I had no expectations for the included lunch due to the low price, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was.

After the tour ended, there was even a taxi service to take us back to the hotel. It was a very good value tour. Participating was definitely the right choice.

こんなご時世で、今は海外旅行どころじゃないので、コロナの合間を見て最近は個人で国内旅行してます。実はコロナ前までは海外旅行の添乗員でした。当然旅行に対しては、ついつい厳しい目で見てしまうのですが、このツアーには本当に満足しました。
まず個人では行きにくい滝観光や屋久杉ランドなど、行きたい所が網羅されていました。低価格なのでついている昼食は全く期待していませんでしたが、結構美味しくてびっくり。
ツアー終了後はタクシーでホテルまで送迎までついていました。
かなりお値打ちのツアーです。参加して本当に大正解でした。

I was anxious because my flight to Yakushima Airport was delayed, but I felt relieved when someone was waiting for me at the exit. I participated in a half-day tour on the day of arrival and a half-day tour the next morning, which allowed me to circle the island. The weather was also great, making it the best experience.

屋久島空港着が飛行機延着で遅れ、不安でしたが出口前で待っていてくださり安心しました。到着日午後半日+翌日午前半日のツアー参加で島内1周出来、天候にも恵まれて　最高でした。

I didn't have high expectations for a half-day bus tour that only visits two places, but it exceeded my expectations. Just exploring Yakusugi Land allows you to fully enjoy nature. Additionally, I felt that the guide's level was very high. Their knowledge, communication, and consideration for the guests were all outstanding.

2か所廻るだけの半日バスツアーでさほど期待はしていなかったが、内容十分でした。ヤクスギランドを見てまわるだけでも自然を十分に堪能できます。また、ガイドさんのレベルがとても高いと感じました。知識もトークも客への配慮も素晴らしかったです。

As a paper driver, I was about to give up on going to places like forest roads and rural beaches, but I was able to do some sightseeing while traveling from Awa to Miyanoura. The guide, who is from Yakushima, had a great understanding of the island.

ペーパードライバーなため、林道やいなか浜などに行くのは諦めかけていたところ、安房から宮之浦までの移動のついでに観光できました。

The guide talked continuously and explained various things, allowing us to efficiently visit the sightseeing spots. The short duration at each location is understandable since it's a tour, but I think it's a perfect bus tour for those who want to sightsee without renting a car.

ガイドさんがずーっと話っぱなしでいろいろ説明してくれて、観光スポットを効率よく周れました。それぞれの滞在時間が短めなのはツアーだから仕方ないですが、レンタカー借りないけど観光したい人にはちょうどいいバスツアーだと思います。

I had a great time even by myself. Since they provide transportation to the airport on the way back, I recommend this for the last day of your trip as well. If you're alone, renting a car can be quite expensive, and taking the bus can also add up in transportation costs, so I think this is a very good deal.

一人でも十分楽しめました。
帰りは空港まで送ってもらえるので、旅行最終日にもおすすめです。
一人だとレンタカーの場合、割高になってしまったり、バスだけで行くのも結構交通費がかかるので、かなりお得なプランだと思います。

I took a flight from Tokyo at 8:55 AM (via Kagoshima) and arrived in Yakushima at 12:20 PM, which allowed me to start sightseeing in the afternoon of the arrival day and make effective use of my time. I was picked up at Yakushima Airport, and after the tour, I was taken to my hotel, which was very helpful.

東京8:55発の飛行機（鹿児島経由）で屋久島12:20着でしたが、到着日の午後から観光でき、時間を有効に利用できました。
屋久島空港でピックアップいただき、ツアー終了後は、ホテルまで送っていただき、助かりました。

Before the tour started, there was a sudden rain, but by the time we began sightseeing at Chihiro Falls, the weather cleared up, and we were able to enjoy it. Since we were scheduled to fly back in the afternoon, we only had the morning for sightseeing, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Yakushima.

ツアー出発前は、突然の雨でしたが、観光スタート（千尋滝）時には晴天になり、楽しむことができました。
午後から飛行機で帰る予定のため、午前中だけの観光でしたが、屋久島観光を満喫できました。

I signed up for the half-day morning course, and on the day of the tour, it was just the two of us and one woman in a passenger car. The female driver and guide was very knowledgeable and slowed down to explain the scenery along the way. I was very satisfied.

午前半日コースを申込み、当日は乗用車で私たち2名と女性1人でのツアーでした。
ドライバー兼ガイドの女性は、知識豊富で、走行途中の景色もスピードを落として説明してくれました。とても満足でした。

The talk was interesting, and the knowledge shared was very rich and educational. Although it was just a half-day tour, I felt a desire to see other places. Thank you very much. Considering my return flight, the arrangement of a taxi was also a great touch. I will definitely visit Yakushima again!

It was a one-day course, but far from just an introduction to Yakushima; it was a tour with thorough explanations that offered great value for the price. I was truly amazed at the high level of the tour for such a cost. On the day of the tour, we were blessed with good weather, and I was able to have a very satisfying experience.

一日コースでしたが、屋久島入門どころか丁寧な説明で、金額以上のお値打ちツアーでした。本当にこの金額でいいのか？と思うくらいのレベルの高いツアーでした。当日は天気にも恵まれ、大変満足な時間を過ごすことができました。
