I requested a private guide for this tour and was extremely satisfied! I was worried about walking a long distance, but the guide continuously shared various stories about Yakushima's history, geography, and flora and fauna while we walked. They were very articulate, making the long hiking trail feel shorter. The pace of walking and rest points were thoughtfully considered based on our condition, and of course, at the highlights, the guide provided thorough explanations and took plenty of photos, which made me very happy. Towards the end, we had some extra time, so being able to rest with our feet in the river became an unforgettable memory. There are many guided tours available, but with larger groups, it's hard to hear the stories while walking, and the pace tends to get disrupted. Therefore, even though the price is a bit higher, I’m really glad I chose this tour with a private guide, as it’s not a place you can visit many times in a lifetime.

こちらのツアーで専属ガイドでお願いしましたが大満足でした！長い距離を歩けるか不安でしたが、歩きながらもいろいろな屋久島の歴史や地理、動植物の話を終始してくださり、とても話上手だったので長い長い登山道も短く感じことができました。歩くペースや休憩のポイントなども私達の状態を見ながら無理なく考え、もちろん見どころポイントではしっかり説明していただき写真もたくさん撮っていただき大満足です。最後のほうでは時間に余裕があったので川に足をつけながら休憩ができたのも忘れられない思い出です。多くのガイドツアーがありますが人数が多いとやはり歩きながらの話は聞こえませんし、ペースも乱れがちになりますので、料金は多少高くとも一生に何度もこれる場所ではないのでこちらのツアーで専属ガイドでお願いして本当によかったです。

Snorkeling in the crystal-clear blue sea was amazing. We encountered many fish and sea turtles, and everyone had a great time. The guide was also very kind and taught us carefully, which made swimming both safe and enjoyable.

透き通るような青い海でのシュノーケリングは最高でした。たくさんの魚とウミガメにも出会えて、皆んなで盛り上がりました。
ガイドさんも丁寧に優しく教えてくれて安心＆楽しく泳げました。

It was my first time snorkeling, and I had an amazing time! Swimming in the vast, beautiful ocean alongside many creatures, including coral, sea anemones, surgeonfish, and clownfish, was a truly happy experience. I was especially thrilled when I encountered a green sea turtle; I got to see it breathe right in front of me and even took a photo together! I was very happy. I enjoyed learning the names of the fish I saw, and the detailed instructions and tips provided at the beginning made me feel safe while swimming. I definitely want to enjoy the waters of Yakushima again!

初めてのシュノーケリングでしたが、存分に楽しむことができました！広い綺麗な海で、サンゴやイソギンチャク、テングハギ、クマノミのほかたくさんの生物と一緒に泳げて幸せな時間でした。特にアオウミガメと遭遇した時は、目の前でカメが呼吸する様子を見れたり、2ショットを撮っていただけました！とても嬉しかったです。見えた魚のお名前を教えてもらいながら楽しめましたし、最初に注意事項やコツを丁寧に教えてくださって安心して泳げました。また、屋久島の海を堪能したいと思いました！

I was very lucky to see two sea turtles at the same time! The ocean was beautiful, and I was very satisfied to see various fish! The guide was also kind and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable! I wholeheartedly recommend this tour!

I had done a little snorkeling before, but I wasn't very good at it. However, they taught me in detail how to breathe and hold my mouth, and I realized that my self-taught methods weren't very effective.

I was able to swim closely with the sea turtles without going too far from the shore.

They took a lot of photos, so I have great memories of swimming up close.

It was a fun time.

シュノーケリングはすこしやったことがあってもあまり得意ではありませんでしたが、とても詳しく息の吐き方やくわえ方を教えていただき、自己流でやっていたのであまり上手くいかなかったことがわかりました。

岸からそれほど沖に行かなくてもウミガメとバッチリ泳げました。

たくさん写真を撮っていただけたので、すごく近くで泳ぐよい思い出もしっかり写っていました。

レンタル品だけで充分でした。レインウェアを購入したけど不用です。ただ体力的について行けず、残り1時間で勇気ある徹底をしました、リーダーにご心配をおかけしました。ありがとうございました

This was my first time visiting Yakushima, and I heard that I couldn't miss Jomon Sugi, so I signed up for a trekking tour to see it. I have little mountain climbing experience and don't exercise much, so I was a bit anxious. On the day of the tour, the weather was good in the morning, but it started to rain in the afternoon, making the stones and wooden planks on the trail slippery. We took breaks at several points while climbing up and down. The guide took photos for us. The feeling of seeing the majestic Jomon Sugi at the summit is unforgettable.

I especially received a lot of energy from our guide, Mr. Nakaba. He walked lightly and sometimes sang songs, sharing stories about Yakushima as we walked. I wondered how he had so much energy. During lunch, he also made instant miso soup for us. Surrounded by the beautiful nature of the forest, with the sound of a stream nearby and gentle rain falling from the sky, it was an indescribably luxurious time.

Thank you, Mr. Nakaba. I hope to bring my son along for a Jomon Sugi trekking tour someday and introduce him to you! ^_^

屋久島は初めてで、行ったからには縄文杉は外せないと聞いたので、縄文杉のトレッキングツアーを申し込みました。登山経験は少なく、普段もあまり運動していないので、少々不安はありました。当日は午前、天候が良かったものの午後は雨が降ってきて、石とかトロコ道の木の板が滑りやすかったです。途中で何ヶ所休憩を取りながら登り降りしました。ガイドさんは写真も撮って頂きます。やっぱり山頂の縄文杉の神々しい姿を見た感動は忘れられません。
特にガイドさんの中馬さんにはすごく元気を頂きました、足取りが軽やかな上に時には歌を歌ったり、歩きながら屋久島に関するお話をしたり、なんであんなにパワーのある方だなと思いました。お弁当の時間に即席味噌汁も作って頂き、美しい大自然の森の中、そばに沢の水が流れていて、空からしとしと小雨が降り注いで、何とも言えない贅沢な時間でした。
中馬さんありがとうございました。いつか息子を連れて縄文杉トレッキングツアーに参加できたら会わせたいですね^_^

I had planned to fully enjoy a day at the sea, but unfortunately, the waves were too high for sea kayaking. However, I requested to at least do some snorkeling, and we ended up doing snorkeling in the morning and river kayaking in the afternoon, which was a great combination.

Although I didn't see any sea turtles in the ocean, I encountered many fish, including clownfish and sea snakes. During the river kayaking, we also had the chance to try stand-up paddleboarding, and we had a wonderful time on the calm, clear river. I even managed to find and catch an eel. It was so much fun!

　たっぷり１日海を満喫する予定でしたが、あいにく波が高くてシーカヤックは難しいとのこと。それでもシュノーケルだけでもやりたいとお願いしたところ、午前中はシュノーケル、午後はリバーカヤックと美味しいところ２つどりさせていただきました。
　海ではウミガメには会えませんでしたが、クマノミやウミヘビなどたくさんのおさかなに会えました。リバーカヤックでは、かわるがわるサップも乗ることができ、透明度の高い穏やかな川で十分楽しめました。ウナギをみつけて捕まえることもできました。とても楽しかったです！

This was my first visit to Yakushima, and I had an incredibly rich experience. The guide I had was someone who, despite not having been in the field for long, possessed a wealth of knowledge and information. As a result, even though my visit to Yakushima was short, I was able to spend a very fulfilling time. I would definitely like to have a guide like this in the future.

　今回、はじめての屋久島訪問でしたが、めちゃくちゃ濃密な体験が出来ました。と言うのは、お世話になった屋久島のガイドの方が、そんなに長い期間を経ていないにもかかわらず、本当に多くの知識と情報を会得された方でした。結果、短期間での屋久島訪問でしたが、大変充実した時間を過ごす事が出来ました〜。
　これからも、このような方であればガイドを是非ともお世話になりたいと思います。

Since none of my friends, including myself, had much experience with trekking or climbing, we decided to book a tour. When we arrived at the site, we noticed many people without guides, but I’m glad we had one.

★ Highlights of the tour
- You can learn about the highlights without any prior preparation or being passive.
└ The well-maintained mountain paths made it easy to reach Jomon Sugi without getting lost. It was great to learn about the points of interest and trivia along the course besides just the goal of Jomon Sugi. We also received tips on how to take great photos. Since we were a relatively young group, we made some detours on the way back, but if you’re on your own, there wouldn’t be many options other than the designated route.
- The timing of breaks was well managed.
└ This was the biggest advantage for beginners like us. We could aim for Jomon Sugi with peace of mind.
- You can arrange for trekking shoes and backpacks as well.
└ There are several rental shops in Yakushima, but being able to arrange everything in advance is convenient and reassuring. I think many accommodations in Yakushima can provide lunch boxes, but it’s nice to have that as an option. (We ate the lunch boxes from our accommodation, so we didn’t choose that option.)

Our guide was friendly and great at chatting, which made the experience enjoyable. Although we didn’t opt for a private tour due to budget concerns, we created wonderful memories with the entire group we climbed with.

友人含めて全員運動習慣のあまりないトレッキング・登山未経験ということもあり、ツアーを予約しました。実際現地にいくとガイドさんをつけていない方もたくさんいらっしゃいましたが、つけて良かったと思っています。
★ツアーの良かったところ
・予習なし・受け身でも見どころなどを教えてもらえる
└基本的に整備された山道で迷わず縄文杉にたどり着けます。ただし、ゴールの縄文杉以外のコース上の見どころ・豆知識などを教えてもらえてよかったです。映える写真の取り方も教えてもらいました。比較的若者グループだったので帰りは寄り道もしましたが、個人だけだと決まったルートで帰る以外の選択肢はなかったです。
・休憩のタイミングなど見計らってもらえる
└素人にとってはこれが一番大きかったです。安心して縄文杉目指せました
・トレッキングシューズ、ザックなどもあわせて手配できる
└屋久島にはレンタルショップが複数ありますが、事前に合わせて手配できるのは楽だし安心感もあります。お弁当は屋久島の多くの宿で手配できると思いますが、オプションとして選べるのもいいですね。（私たちは宿のお弁当を食べたのでオプションではつけていません）

ガイドさんも気さくでおしゃべり上手で楽しかったです。お財布を気にして貸切ツアーにしませんでしたが、一緒に登ったグループ全体でいい思い出が作れました。

The trekking to Jomon Sugi is filled with many highlights along the way, such as Wilson's Stump, the Great Cedar, and the Couple Cedar. There are also points where you can touch Yakusugi, allowing you to experience the grandeur of nature through sight, smell, and touch. The guide's explanations are very clear, and with descriptions at each point, you can enjoy a fun trekking experience without missing anything. Since this area receives a lot of rain, rain gear is essential. It's best to prepare sturdy rain gear for hiking or rent hiking equipment. The hiking trails were steeper than I expected, so having trekking shoes and hiking socks that suit you can help reduce fatigue.

縄文杉を目的地としたトレッキングですが、ウィルソン株や大王杉、夫婦杉など道中の見所が多いです。
屋久杉に触れることができるポイントもあり、自然の雄大さを視覚、嗅覚、接触で感じることができました。
ガイドさんの解説がとてもわかりやすく、ポイントごとに説明があるので見落としなく楽しいトレッキングができます。
雨が多い地域なので雨具は必須です。登山用のしっかりとした雨具を用意するか登山用具をレンタルしましょう。
道中の登山道は思ったより険しかったので自分に合ったトレッキングシューズと登山用靴下があると疲れにくいかなと思いました。

The one-way distance of 11 kilometers includes 8.5 kilometers of an easy-to-walk trolley path, while the remaining 2.5 kilometers is a challenging mountain trail with rocks and tree roots. However, personally, I found it less strenuous than I expected. Just be cautious as there are many slippery areas. The guide provides thorough instructions.

The items listed in the email sent beforehand included various suggestions, but it's best to minimize your luggage as much as possible. There are several water stations, so I think one bottle of water will suffice. However, since I went in the middle of summer, it's advisable to bring something for salt replenishment.

Along the way, the guide shared various insights, including stories about Yakusugi trees, the forest's plants and animals, and a terrifying accident that occurred in the past. The guide was very friendly, and I had a great time.

片道11キロの内8.5キロはトロッコ道で歩きやすく、2.5キロは岩と木の根の歩きづらい登山道でしたが、個人的には思っていたよりもつらくありませんでした。
ただ滑りやすいところが多いので注意が必要です。ガイドさんが丁寧に教えてくれます。

事前にメールで送られてきた持ち物には色々と書かれていましたができるだけ荷物は減らした方がいいです。給水所がいくつもあるので水分はペットボトル1本で足りると思います。ただ私が行ったのが真夏ということもありますが、塩分補給できるものは持って行った方がいいです。

道中ガイドさんにさまざまなことを教えていただきました。屋久杉のお話や森の植物や動物のお話、以前起こった恐ろしい事故のお話。とてもフレンドリーなガイドさんで楽しく過ごさせていただきました。

I participated with my elementary school daughter. Since we are city kids and have never done any hiking, I was worried, but thanks to our guide, we were able to safely reach the moss-covered forest. I was really happy that we could take a lot of photos and create many memories with my daughter in the beautiful scenery of Yakushima.

There are many water spots and muddy areas, and since we walked for over three hours, our sneakers got quite wet. There are also many slippery places, so I think trekking shoes are essential for children. Although it is cool in the forest, you will sweat a lot in the summer, so I recommend bringing plenty of water.

小学生の娘と2人で参加しました。登山などしたことがない都会っ子なので心配でしたが、ガイドさんのおかげで、苔むす森まで無事に行ってくることができました。
写真をたくさん撮ってくださり、屋久島らしい風景の中、娘との思い出をいっぱい残せたのが嬉しかったです。
水場やぬかるんでいる場所が多く、3時間以上歩くので、スニーカーだとかなり濡れてしまいます。滑りやすい場所も多いので、お子さんにもトレッキングシューズが必須かと思います。また、森の中は涼しいとはいえ夏はびっしょり汗をかくので、水は多めに用意するのがおすすめです。

I participated with my husband and our two sons, who are in the second year of junior high and sixth grade! The explanations were very thorough, and we were able to enjoy it as a family. It was a shame we couldn't see the sea turtles, but we saw a lot of cute fish! I got seasick and had to take a break, but they were very attentive and I was able to participate until the end. My sons seemed to have a lot of fun and said they want to do it again! They took many photos, and it became a wonderful memory. It was a valuable experience. Thank you very much!

ウミガメが見れなかったのは残念でしたが、可愛い魚を沢山見れました！

It was my first time trekking, but thanks to the guides' interesting explanations and quizzes, I had a lot of fun climbing! Of course, since it was trekking, there were moments when I thought it was tough on my body, but the sense of accomplishment when I reached the top was truly amazing! I almost forgot about the pain in my body.
This is definitely a place I recommend everyone to visit at least once in their lifetime! ✨

Due to the passing of the typhoon, the water clarity wasn't great, but I could see that the guides were attentive to safety, which made it enjoyable and reassuring for families with children. We got to see sea turtles and various fish, so overall, I was very satisfied.

台風一過のため、海の透明度はイマイチでしたが、案内の方が安全に配慮されていたのがわかったので、子連れでも安心して楽しめました。
ウミガメにも会え、色々な魚も見ることができて結果的に大満足でした。

It seems they grouped us into small teams of the same age and gender, ensuring there were no significant differences in physical ability. We were able to enjoy ourselves at a good pace without getting too tired.

I chose a dedicated tour for my first trekking experience in Yakushima because I wasn't confident in my physical strength. Our guide, Fujiyama, kindly said, "Let's take it slow and not rush," and shared enjoyable stories about the moss and flowers while taking photos for us. We enjoyed a leisurely pace and the experience of forest bathing.
The view from Taiko Rock was amazing and will be a lifelong memory! Thank you! ✨

初屋久島トレッキング。体力に自信がないため専任ツアーを選びました。ガイドのフジヤマさんは、「焦らず、ゆっくり行きましょう」とおっしゃってくださり、苔や草花など楽しくお話をしてくださったり、写真も撮っていただきながら、ゆったりペースで森林浴を楽しみました。
太鼓岩からの見晴らしは素晴らしく、一生の思い出になりました！ありがとうございました✨

After the thorough guidance, I enjoyed seeing the underwater world. The turtle was also cute, looking right at the camera. After swimming, I was able to rinse off the seawater with a warm shower and safely returned to Osaka by plane.

We were blessed with good weather and were able to meet the Jomon Sugi safely. With the guide's help, we managed to walk the way back and forth while learning various pieces of knowledge. They also pointed out many great photo spots. The miso soup they prepared for us during lunch was very delicious. Thanks to the guide's pacing and consideration, I was able to go trekking with my parents in their 60s, creating wonderful memories. I am very satisfied.

天候に恵まれ、無事縄文杉に会うことができました。
ガイドさんに色々な知識を教えていただきながら行き帰りの道を頑張って歩くことができました。
写真を撮るスポットもたくさん教えていただきました。お弁当を食べる時に準備してくださっていたお味噌汁がとてもおいしかったです。
ガイドさんのペース配分や配慮のおかげで、６０代の両親とトレッキングができ、最高の思い出ができました。大満足です。

Climbing rocks, swimming, crawling through, getting splashed by a small waterfall, jumping off rocks, and enjoying a warm cup of tea while gazing at the impressive large waterfall. In the afternoon canoeing, I was also able to try stand-up paddleboarding. The drive was enjoyable as well.

岩場を登り、泳ぎ、くぐり、小さな滝にうたれ、岩からジャンプし、迫力ある大きな滝を岩場から眺めつつ暖かい紅茶。午後のカヌーでは、サップもできました。車での移動中も楽しかったです。

I was worried about whether I could go snorkeling because a typhoon was approaching, but I was able to snorkel at a calm spot! It was cloudy, but the water was incredibly clear, and I was able to see various fish. I even encountered two turtles and was very happy to swim close to them! The staff carefully explained how to use the equipment and gave tips before we started, so I felt safe while snorkeling. Thank you very much!

台風が接近していて潜れるか不安でしたが、穏やかなポイントでシュノーケリングを行うことができました！曇りでしたが海の中はすごく透明で、色々な魚を見ることができました。カメさんにも2匹会えて、近くで一緒に泳げてとても嬉しかったです！

It was tough because the rain was really heavy at times, but the moss changed from a deep green to a vibrant green, and it was very beautiful. I enjoyed hearing various stories.

I experienced snorkeling!! The way they taught me how to put it on was very efficient and easy to understand, starting from the basics. This was the most enjoyable snorkeling experience I've had so far!!

Due to circumstances, I was unable to go to Taiko Rock, but thanks to the guide's accurate judgment and safety considerations, we were able to reach the mossy forest. I am truly grateful to the guide for continuously supporting my mother, who has weak stamina and leg strength.

Although it was my oversight and the tour company is not at fault at all, during the final confirmation registration, I received information about the accident insurance and registered for it, but I forgot that I had registered. As a result, I had to confirm it through the guide at the time of payment at the end of the tour. If possible, I would appreciate receiving a confirmation email regarding the registration (accident insurance enrollment) after the registration.

事情により太鼓岩まで行くことはできませんでしたが、ガイドさんの的確な判断且つ、安全配慮により、苔むす森まで行くことができました。また、ガイドさんには終始、体力・脚力が弱い母のサポートをしていただき、本当にありがとうございました。
私の忘れでツアー会社さんにまったく否はないのですが、最終確認の登録において、傷害保険の案内をいただき登録させていただきましたが、自身が登録したことを忘れてしまい、ツアー終了時の支払い時にガイドさん経由で確認させていただくことになってしまいました。できれば登録後の確認メール（傷害保険加入）をいただければと思います。

Due to the impact of the typhoon, we had to give up on entering the sea turtle spot. It's understandable because of the natural conditions, but it's a shame that we couldn't meet the sea turtles. Other than that, the staff was very attentive and taught our family, who are beginners at snorkeling, with great care, allowing us to enjoy the experience with a lot of peace of mind.

台風の影響で、ウミガメさんスポットへの入水は断念。
自然条件が原因だから仕方ないけど、結局、ウミガメさんに会えずそれだけが残念。

I went on my first trip to Yakushima. The group members were around the same age, making it easy to talk even with people I had just met. The guide also taught us about pacing and tips for taking photos, which made for a friendly and enjoyable experience. It was a wonderful experience, and I want to go again.

グループメンバーも同年代くらいで振り分けられており、初対面の人同士でも話しやすく、またガイドさんもペース配分や写真撮影のコツ等も教えてくれ、和気あいあいと参加できました。素晴らしい経験ができました。また行きたいです。

The explanations were clear and easy to understand, even for beginners, so I felt comfortable taking on the challenge. I thought I would be able to relax while floating and slowly gazing at the underwater scenery, but I was surprised to encounter so many sea creatures! The weather was great too!!

The colorful fish, with their vivid yellows, oranges, and blues, were adorable. I was super lucky to see a pair of large amberjacks leisurely swimming around! I also got to meet a sea turtle (a rare one called a hawksbill turtle)♪ Watching it swim gracefully in the water was incredibly soothing.

I was enjoying my first snorkeling experience in the perfect conditions of the calm blue sea and sky when, just before getting back to shore, I encountered a baby green sea turtle in the shallow water. It elegantly passed right in front of me!! It added a wonderful memory to my day. Thank you very much!!!

初心者でもわかりやすい丁寧な説明だったので、安心してチャレンジすることができました。ぷかぷかと浮かんでゆっくりと海中を眺められたらリラックスできるな～と思っていましたが、たくさんの海のいきものたちに会えてびっくりしました！そして天気もよくて最高でした！！

鮮やかな黄色やオレンジやブルーが印象的だった色とりどり魚たちはかわいかったな～。大きなイトヒキアジのペアがのんびりと回遊していたを見られたのは超ラッキーでした！そしてウミガメ（貴重なタイマイっていう名前）にも会えたよ♪海の中を気持ちよさそうに泳いでいる姿にとても癒されましたｗ

穏やかな青い海と空で絶好のコンディションで初シュノーケリングを堪能できたな～とおもっていたら、さらに浜に上がる寸前の浅瀬でなんとアオウミガメの子供と遭遇。私の目の前を優雅に通り過ぎていきました！！最後に良き思い出が追加されました。ありがとうございました！！！
