Great for Korean drama lovers!

Overall this was a great day! After booking they asked for our hotel and set the pickup at the closest subway which was great. They even let my daughter join on through email when she surprised us.

On the day, our tour guide 'Jung' met us outside the station at 7:45 and called the driver around. Only the 3 of us had booked so it was a private tour. The drive was comfortable and smooth.

We arrived at MBC studio at 9:45 and it started to snow. They had umbrellas in the car for us. The guide went and bought our tickets. We also opted for the shuttle bus which was 3000won each. On the tour we stopped by a jail, village and palace. There was a Pavilion at one point with information on the shows that were filmed there. At the end there is an option to dress in Hanbok used by the actors for 20,000won. There were toilets throughout the park. We were able to take our time and there was no rush for photos, which was awesome since we are a fan of Korean drama.

We left the studio around 11:30am and drove to a Korean restaurant for about 45mins. For lunch we had sizzling bibimbap with soup and sides (including kimchi, beans and nuts, beansprouts and squid). They also gave us a little sweet for dessert. Extra portion could be purchased for 10,000won. Drinks were extra too.

Next was the folk village which is only 5 minutes away, so we arrived around 12:15pm. It started snowing again! The village was magical in the snow. Jung gave us lots of information about the Korean culture and the different housing etc. It was very informative and all done with a smile. There is usually a performance but due to the weather it was cancelled. However, the park was not busy at all. Normally the huge carpark is filled.

After the village we headed back to Seoul. It took around 45mins and we got dropped off at Namadeum market. No traffic!

Jung was amazing and the driver was good too. Would recommend for anyone who watches Korean drama and wants to learn about Korean history.

Very interesting! MBC park is a nice place and not too crowded. So peaceful and beautiful! Hwaseong Fortress is so huge but is a beautiful place also.

Prompt & Thorough

Our group of 7 took the Full Day Historical Drama Location Tour. The highlights were while we were at the MBC Dramia Location, they were filming the drama Hwajung and we got to see some of the filming plus the main actor reading his script, the lunch was terrific (Stone Pot BiBimPab), the transportation was very comfortable with AC because it was a hot day and our guide was very helpful. I will be taking this tour again on my next trip to Korea, because by the time we found the locations that I had looked forward to, the palace area of MBC Dramia, we had only about 10 minutes to "run" through it. We then spent about 45 minutes in the "dress in historical costumes" area
which I felt was time would have been better spent in the "palace area". On my next tour I will spend more time in the "palace area". Our Yongin Folk Village tour was fine however I was hoping we would see the Equestrian show, but our guide said we did not have enough time to see it and we were shuffled off to the Fortress, which was all walking in the heat, so a couple of us just sat and waited it out. Just too long a walk.
I had originally booked this tour online for 2 before going to Korea and when I tried to add an additional 5 people to this tour in Korea, I had to cancel my original booking and re-book for 7. I was charged an additional $36 dollars for the original 2 bookings because of this. There was no "person" to contact regarding this situation. We could only do this online. So because I added 5 more people to the tour, I was penalized $36.
All in all, it was a good tour for the most part. I wish the guide had been a little more flexible.

Greetings from ILoveSeoulTour.
Thank you for join our tour this time. We apologize if our tour did not meet your expectations.
In this limited time to look around many places might be hard to you though.
Since of our schedule for Dramia & Folk Village each have 1.5~2 hours setting therefore you may not see the Equestrian show at that moment.
Also, the tour charge of the MBC DRAMIA move higher from May that's make the tour cost changes inevitable.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
We have tried our best to service all the customers satisfied with the tour in true.
ILoveSeoulTour wish to be your journey partner again for your next Korea trip.
