Supposed "DMZ" tour

I booked in advance for a tour of the JSA, but due to a meeting between the USA and North Korea taking place at the JSA at the time of our tour the JSA was closed that day. That was extremely, extremely disappointing. That was actually all I really wanted to see on the tour. That was out of the control of the tour agency though, and Veltra refunded us for that part. I would have much much rather gone to the JSA than have a partial refund. On the plus side, our tour guide was great. He went by the name S.P.. He was polite, funny, and informative. On the negative side, we never got to go inside the DMZ. Again, very disappointing. We got to see North Korea through binoculars lo an observation hill, but we never crossed into the DMZ. So, it was not really a "DMZ tour" because we never actually went into the DMZ. If I gave you a tour of my house I would let you into my house and not just let you see it through binoculars from outside. I know the tour agency cannot control the access to the JSA and DMZ, but it was actually only a tour of the area near the DMZ, beyond civilian control line. Again, I must say that SP our guide was great though.
