Touring Rome by the Hop-on Hop-off City Bus Tour

For first time travelers, the Hop-on Hop-off Rome City Bus Tour is the way to go. You can purchase a two day pass, and it conveniently takes you in all main attractions. We began our tour at the Vatican and expanded to the Castel Sant'Angelo. In the afternoon, we went to the Spanish Steps and Fontana Trevi. Next day we visited the Coliseum and the Roman Forum. Quick self guided audio's were available in several languages. It really takes about two days to visit all the main sites. I highly recommend it. It is convenient, quick, and a sure way to learn your way around Rome. Suggest staying on the upper deck to enjoy the majestic view's Rome has to offer.

A GREAT WAY TO SEE ROME. WE WERE ABLE TO WALK TO THE VATICAN WHERE WE PICKED UP THE BUS.

Excellent product and excellent service

I recently used City Discovery to book a 24 hr hop-on-hop- off bus tour while in Rome for a short forthcoming stay. I found the booking procedure easy and efficient. I have printed off the voucher and am now looking forward to seeing the many well-known sights the City has to offer. I have not been to Rome before.

Easiest way to see all the sights

Bad organization. Ear phones not clear. Full people waiting in stops. Could not get in 2dn bus that stopped, although I was near the door, a tour pulled in and could not get on the bus, I took a city bus., over with hop on hop off for me.

The route was fine but we are very disappointed that you sell the tour as having 2 routes A and B when it only has route A and it is more than one year ago that route B stopped. We felt quite cheated as we bought 48 hours in ordre to see one route Per day.

On the map of the tour we would like to see more suggestions about where to go when You hop off . For example we did not find the entrance of the Foro Romano .Another example : more detailed info of the walk to Trevi fountain (street names) .

Amazing! First time i used the specifc bus tour!
The bus was on time and the information provided during the tour and over the recorded message were informative a lot. Took many pictures. You should go for it and of course you should sit on the upper floor of the us, so as to see everything

The tour was correct the information was very interesting and the languages well spoken... the routes was complete talking about the old zones ...the personal very kind and the bus acomodation comfortable and correct..... but I would have like go to the new zones and see the development of rome too with the tour... so may you can in sometime add a new rout to your tor

No problems with the booking. However, in the winter months a 24-hours ticket in effect means 8-hours maximum access on the buses. They only run from 0900 to 1700. This should be made clear at the time of booking.

Maybe not enough stop bus in the city

This is the first tour to take when visiting Rome. Get on early, go round once, stay on the bus and go to the place that intrigues you most. Take your map of Rome and follow the route so that you know how close other attractions are to the major stops. Worth every Euro!

A must do to get to see Rome! The bus stopped at all the major sites & we could just hop on & off where we wanted to tour in more detail. Then we would know just where we wanted to go back & spend more time to see more sites! The audio guide translated to English so we didn't miss out on details!

We had a good time in Rome & would recommend the 48 hour Hop On/Hop Off Tour especially for anyone travelling to Rome for the first time. We had no issues with this tour. Only OK for several main reasons.
1. We had to wait once for 40 minutes for a bus. The personal lied to me and said that I missed one while I was sitting at the bus stop the whole time. I found this very disrespectfull.
2. No shade, no roof. It was 32 degrees out. Other busses had shade.
3. The ear phones didn't work well; lots of static.
4. The stop at Termini where we sat for 20 minutes baking in the sun.
There's less legroom in the bus than in a plane making turning and twisting to take pictures very difficult.
