A. Guides are trained to find the best spots. However, due to the nature of the event, front spots are not guaranteed.
Q. Will there be a restroom?
A. Yes, there are restrooms available which are closed just prior to the Pope’s arrival.
Q. Will the Pope bless us or will there be an opportunity to kiss the Pope's hand?
A. Any personal interaction with the Pope is restricted.
Q. Is the Papal Audience a mass?
A. The audiences are not masses, but are times set aside for pilgrims and visitors to listen to the Pope and receive his apostolic blessing.

Required items to bring & attire
- A special dress code is required to attend the Papal Audience. Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women. This dress code is strictly enforced and you will be refused entry if you fail to comply.
Additional notes
- Depending on the time of year the actual location of the Papal Audience may alternate. During the warmer months from approximately Easter week until the end of September, the Papal Audience is held outdoors at St. Peter’s Square, whereas during the colder months the audience takes place in the Sala of Paul VI within the Leonine Walls of Vatican City. The decision regarding the location of the Papal Audience is made by Vatican officials the day before the event.
