このヘリコプターツアーは、カウアイ島旅行のメインイベントで最大の目的でした。乗客は私の他にカップルが2組、5名です。座席は左の窓側に指定されました。ヘッドホンを付けるとパイロットが英語でガイドをしてくれました。早口でよくわかりませんでした。しかし、窓の外の風景には感激でした。ワイメア渓谷とナパリコーストを空から上から見たいという願いが叶いました。ビデオを取ることに必死でした。パイロットは右や左に旋回してくれて右側の乗客と左側の乗客に均等にシャーッターチャンスを作ってくれました。上からとさらに渓谷の中程まで降りて岩肌に最接近したりサービス満点でした。

シダの洞窟は20年前にはじめて行き、今回が2回目でした。一人参加のため遊覧船は英語ガイドになると観念していました。ところがこの日は日本語ガイドの船が出るのでそちらに乗せてくれました。日本人の団体のためにチャーターした船でした。ラッキーでした。シダの洞窟には入れませんでした。展望台が新設されてここから眺めることになり残念でした。日本語ガイドの説明で事情がよくわかり納得でした。

I had a absolute blast! Busting through mud, powering up hills and getting loose in the dirt... what could be more fun. The guides were great and even though I know much about Kauai, I learned even more. My family had fun holding on and getting a little muddy as I romped on the gas in the jungle and old can fields. I highly recommend this adventure!

渓谷の中を、幾筋もの糸のような滝が流れとても綺麗でした。稜線はユニークでジュラシックパークの撮影が行なわれたのも納得です。恐竜の時代かと錯覚します。

We flew to Honolulu and then spent 6 days on a cruise to Maui, the Big Island, and Kauai. The highlight of our trip was the Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour. The Eco-Star helicopter is one of the best helicopters available. It is relatively quiet, very comfortable, and the view from any seat is fantastic. This was the most fun I've had on the island THUS FAR! The staff is amazing!!! Dundee, Paa (spelling?), and Kelsey did a great job giving us a demo of how to rappel. I am TERRIFIED of heights, but I felt fully confident with the expert staff there to help me. Tanya had this motherly feel so I felt really safe knowing she was at the bottom of the waterfall coaching me through. As you're rappelling one of the staff responsible for you is instructing you on what to do, where to put your foot, etc. Mostly you are trying to figure all that out yourself but when it comes to tough parts they help you out. Really great experience and SO MUCH FUN!!!! THANK YOU ALL FOR A WONDERFUL TIME AND FOR MAKING US FEEL LIKE OHANA!
Btw, if you can't swim, THIS EXCURSION IS STILL FOR YOU! I cannot swim but the bottom of the waterfall isn't really deep so it was completely fine :)

When we booked our trip to HI my husband had been 3-4 times already. I hadn't been at all. He convinced me not to book a luau. We really like food and figured we'd save the money for something else. Once we got to HI I was really-really bummed we didn't have a luau on the docket, and it was too late to book anything.
This cruise was amazing and once we did it we weren't so bummed about missing the luau. The cruise is so peaceful. The guide is a smith family member and his family owns the land surrounding the river. He knows so much about the land and has tons of stories he tells while you cruise up and down the river.
You stop at the fern grotto, which is so cool. It's a must see on any trip to Kauai. The musicians on the cruise play songs and play a special song to people who have just gotten married or celebrating anniversaries.
Then on the ride back the musicians play native songs. It's the next best thing to a luau.
Already did it once but will do it again!
