There was a mixup with our reservation. We reserved through Veltra for a Thursday. Veltra confirmed that it was for Thursday. We showed up and no one was there. We called Kauai Outfitters who let us know that we were on the books for Friday. I contacted Veltra afterwards and they apologized and offered a partial refund, which I appreciate. I would suggest calling Kauai Outfitters to double check that the dates are right, to be on the safe side.

We went back on Friday and had a great time. The guides were wonderful. The tour was great. The zip line was so amazing. We were bitten by mosquitoes, so bring bug spray. We were in a small group of 10 people and 4 guides, so it was a personalized experience and we had tons of time to talk to the guides. We would definitely do another tour with Kauai Outfitters.

This was a wonderful activity. The guides are knowledgable, patient, and friendly. Be sure to wear your bug repellant on the hike. This was the first time my boyfriend and I were in Hawaii and ziplining and both Chelsea and Jessie were awesome. While we stopped in two muddy holes for swimming, there was no waterfall swim as announced.
Kayaking was really nice and peaceful. While the zip lines are long there are only two of them (not the three as described). Also a special note for the lunch, best lunch from all the activities we did, that has been improved since the previous reviews.

Good trip overall, but took awhile to get started. Kayaking and hiking was easy and fun. The 2 ziplines were good and long. The lunch they provided was o.k. We were in Hawaii for our 25th anniversary and this was our first trip we had booked. My husband was really looking forward to the kayaking and I was really looking forward to the ziplining. Unfortunately because of the weather (nothing the staff could have done about it - they were really great people!), but we ended up kayaking down a mud river in pouring rain. Hiking through a muddy forest. Lunch was great (sun came out and beautiful spot), but we were super disappointed that there were only 2 ziplines and then the waterfall swim was more like a mud puddle splash. Unbelievably...the weather got worse and we hiked what seemed like 5 miles out of the wettest, muddiest conditions we've ever experienced and took an open boat ride back. Soaking wet, really cold with wind blowing on you from boat ride. Our whole group all tried to keep our spirits up, after all, we're in Hawaii, but you could tell that everyone just wanted it over by the end. An unfortunate shame...probably would have rated it a 4 if it had been a sunny day.

Beautiful location, awesome guides (Zach & Ryan) and thrilling zips made for an unforgettable morning! The location is in one of the rainiest parts of the world, but luckily the rain cleared up just as we were heading out and we didn't see any the entire 2-3 hours, very lucky!

There were about 7-8 lines total that stretched across the valley so the views were unbeatable and everyone was having an amazing time! On activities like zipping, the guides can make or break the tour and Zach & Ryan were some of the best I've ever had, on any tour. This is a great tour for those looking to try zipping for the first time or to do it again in one of the most beautiful places on the island, highly recommended!

We also do the tubing they have, too. :)

Our two guides did a good job for safety and general preparedness however we could not hear some of the comments and information from the non-driving guide. The van was noisy and hard to hear his comments especially when he talked toward the windshield rather than back to the passengers.

The air-conditioning in the van was poor in the back rows and little air flowed which made the ride to and from the zip lines uncomfortable.

Several in our family group had never zip lined and were very, very apprehensive (my wife, daughter in law and her 10 yr old daughter). The tall long haired guy put them at ease as best he could and mentally supported them. They all managed to make the first run and then loved it. The runs were short and tame enough to allow them to "conquer" their fears and really enjoy the experience and want to do more.

The overall zip line experience was actually very good and beautiful but the whole experience could have been outstanding with attention to the ite

It is GOREGOUS scenery between the zip lines.

You are very high up now how do you get there? You drive to the tour place and they will bus you to the starting zipline from there is mostly hiking from zip to zip.

So.... I would say that if you are in hearth healthy, have no knee issues and you are in reasonable shape or at least say 10 or 11 yrs old, okay with heights, this may is a great activity for you. Why.. well its ALOT of hiking! Up and down paths along side the mountain to get to each zipline. But that's what Kauai is all about after all. I am not a work out fanatic and I did just fine but I do elipse every other day so.... just take that into consideration.

Not only is the zip course beautiful, fun and exciting, it's made hundreds of times better by the staff. We were accompanied by Misty and Alan, both of whom gave us great banter along with awesome local knowledge and support for the more nervous of the group.

They included everyone, made us as a couple feel welcome within a larger group of people who already knew each other and made the whole experience one to truly remember.

I'd recommend it to anyone - even if you're scared it it, it's a must-do on Kaua'i!

We had an amazing adventure with the wonderful staff at Outfitters Kauai. The zips were so fun, and we felt very safe. The kayak in was a fun little adventure and the hike in wasn't tough at all. The staff were so wonderful. We felt like there us no way we could have had so much fun for a whole day deal for the price. Nick, Mitch, and Golden were so funny and personable. Bring a camera with a wrist strap, your swim suit for the two swimming holes (one with a mini zip), sunscreen, water shoes, and big spray. Mahalo, Outfitters!! Ya'll are the best!
