The crew were super friendly and kind. The live music and the commentary of the guide was very entertaining and informative through-out. The river ride was pleasant and breezy. Overall a neat thing to do in Kauai.

We had a wonderful time on this mini cruise to Fern Grotto. We loved hearing about it's history, listening to the music and being entertained by a talented group of people. Every seat was a good one for views and the short walk to the grotto was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this relaxing trip!

ハワイ9回目にして、初めてのカウアイ島。今まで体験したルアウ・ショーの中で、一番楽しめた体験でした。
まず、チェックインしたあと孔雀などのいる美しいスミスさんの庭園をトラムで案内していただきます。そのあと、イムの儀式を見て、お食事になります。
食事の間には、バンド演奏をしていただきます。声をかけてくださった背の高い男性が、片言の日本語で話しかけてくださいました。ツアーの人が多く、個人参加の私たち夫婦を彼が、席に案内してくださいました。日本に帰ってから知ったのですが、彼が、カミカ・スミスさんでした。主催者さんだったのです。彼は、ステージに上がり、歌われたのですが、うっとりするほど、お上手でした。スミス婦人も歓迎してくださいました。食事が終わったあと、ステージまで、歩いていきました。ちょうどいい食事の後の散歩タイムでした。日本庭園のようなものもありました。美しいお庭です。
ショーは、ハワイアンやタヒチダンスだけでなく、他の国、ニュージーランドや韓国、中国、日本、フィリピンなど多国の踊りもあると事前にガイドブックで知っていましたが、行って初めて知ったことがあります。それは、当日のお客さんに中国や韓国の人はおられず、アジア人は私たち夫婦二人だけでした。外国の踊りとして披露いただいたアジアの踊りは、日本の東京音頭だったのです。スミスファミリーさんは、出席者がどこから来てるのかを見て、選曲されてるとしか思えなかったのです。中国、韓国の踊りでなく東京音頭だったのです。感激しました。
食事も美味しかったし、何といってもカミカ・スミスさんご本人とお話しできたこと、温かいスミスファミリーのおもてなしに幸せな時間を過ごさせていただきました。
夫はアロハシャツ、私は、カジュアルだけどロングドレスで、お洒落していきました。
ほとんどの人が、お洒落して来られてて、場違いにならずによかったと思いました。

青春の思い出が蘇ってきます。一度訪れてみたいと思っていたので、感無量です。
夫と二人で来ました。70才と69才の夫婦。ここを訪れたカップルは幸せになれるとか、言われています。船に乗って、往復で1時間20分のツアーでした。シダの洞窟では、上陸してフラダンスや音楽を鑑賞しました。
日本人は、私たち夫婦と同じ年代のご夫婦と娘さんのご家族の二組だけでした。
英語だけですが、言葉の不自由はないです。
ロマンチックで、かつ、神聖な感じのする場所でした。
写真が、アップしようとしたのですが、できなくて残念です。

Its a cheap, pretty trip down the river and then you get to see a really pretty spot with a little cave and waterfall in a jungle like setting. Id say go. It only takes a couple hours.
