I wanted to visit the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium on my first trip to Okinawa, so I signed up for this tour.
The good points were that we could stop by places like Pineapple Park and the Okashi Goten, which are hard to reach on a personal trip. It was perfect for my first time in Okinawa, and we could sightsee efficiently.
However, I was a bit disappointed that lunch at the Churaumi Aquarium was difficult due to the crowded restaurant. If we had a little more time on Kouri Island, I think we could have enjoyed taking photos and having a meal more leisurely.
I would also like to participate in another tour.

良かった点は、個人旅行では行きづらいパイナップルパークやお菓子御殿に寄れたこと。
初めての沖縄にはぴったりで、効率的に観光できました。
ただ、美ら海水族館での昼食は、レストランが混雑していてタイミングが難しかったのが少し残念。古宇利島での滞在時間がもう少し長ければ、写真撮影や食事をゆっくり楽しめたかと思います。
また、別のツアーにも参加してみたいです。
万座毛はとても風が強いので、1月のツアー参加の場合は防寒が必要かと思います。

It was our family's first trip to Kyoto. Choosing the private taxi plan was definitely the right decision. Our driver, Masui, shared stories that you wouldn't normally hear just from sightseeing, including unique anecdotes and local knowledge that only residents would know. It seemed like our elementary and middle school children enjoyed it as well. Plus, Masui was tall, so it was easy to spot him in crowded places, which helped us avoid getting lost!
He also recommended places and shops that we might have overlooked, which was incredibly helpful and made our experience even more enjoyable. If you're planning to sightsee in Kyoto, I highly recommend a private taxi where you can have a guide along the way for a stress-free journey.

This was my first time participating in a tour. The guide was really good at explaining things in both Japanese and English, and I was impressed by how well they switched between the languages.
Gokayama was so quiet that I wondered if there were only our bus passengers there, making it perfect for taking photos. I thought Shirakawa-go had more people, almost to the point of overtourism.

I participated alone, and since I wanted to hear the guide's explanations, I stayed close to the guide while walking around the sightseeing spots. At various places, the guide kindly offered to take photos for me. There were a total of 10 participants, with 2 Japanese, including myself, and 8 from English-speaking countries.
This tour provided only a brief overview of each sightseeing spot, so I didn't have high expectations for the guide's commentary. However, they clearly communicated the meeting times and locations, which made everyone feel comfortable participating. I think it's better to think of this as a tour with a tour conductor rather than a guided tour. Still, I believe it was definitely worth it.

It was a very convenient and easy tour, allowing us to depart from the hotel without having to carry our luggage to the airport, making it possible to enjoy sightseeing—two birds with one stone. Okinawa World, especially the Gyokusendo Cave, was impressive and wonderful.

The parking lot was quite a distance from the tourist site, and the guide was walking at a fast pace. Because of the quick movement, it felt like we had efficient time for sightseeing. There were quite a few stairs and slopes, so I think this itinerary is suited for those who can walk without assistance. The guide we had was the type who kept moving forward without looking back at the crowd, so it required a bit of stamina to keep up. I was the only Japanese participant, but the guide was always considerate, and I appreciated that. I chose a course that included meals and entrance fees, and I had no expectations for the food, but it turned out to be very delicious and suited my taste. It was a cold day with snow flurries, and I was thrilled to enjoy a warm yudofu meal in a calm and cozy restaurant. The presentation was elegant, and the portion size was more than sufficient overall. The guide also explained how to eat the dishes, so I was glad I opted for the meal (Kyoto tofu set)! On the day I participated, there were only foreign guests. The guide provided information in Japanese as needed, but since most of it was in English, I recommend this for those who want to enjoy an international atmosphere. Perhaps due to the timing of my visit, the crowds were not as severe as I expected, and I did not encounter any traffic jams.
駐車場から観光地までわりと距離がありガイドさんも速足でした。移動が素早かったかった分、観光のための時間が効率的に取れた印象です。ゆるやかながら階段や坂道も結構あるため、介助なしで歩ける人向けの旅程だと思います。担当されたガイドさんは、人混みの中をあまり振り返らず、どんどん歩くタイプでしたので、遅れず付いていく体力が必要でした。日本人の参加は私一人でしたが、常に気遣って下さり、ありがとうございました。私は食事と入場料有のコースを選び、食事は何の期待もしていなかったのですが、自分の味覚に合い大変美味しかったです。雪がちらつく寒い日で、湯どうふの御膳を温かく落ち着いた店内で味わえ感激しました。上品で、全体的に量も充分でしたよ。食べ方も説明して下さいましたし、食事つき（京豆腐御膳）にしておいて良かったです！私が参加した日は外国からのお客さんばかりでした。必要に応じてガイドさんは日本語の案内もされますが、英語が大半なのでインターナショナルな雰囲気を楽しみたい人におすすめです。参加した時期のためか？混雑も思ったより厳しくなく、交通渋滞にも遭いませんでした。

They also took me to a restaurant where I could have a traditional Japanese lunch, which I truly appreciated. We were able to do the sightseeing exactly as we wished. I was very satisfied.

I chose a tour that included both stars and nocturnal creatures.
I signed up online close to 6 PM on the day of the tour, but I received a call right away, which gave me the impression that it was a reliable company!
Our tour guide, Y, was very lively and provided a lot of detailed information about the island, stars, and coconut crabs throughout the journey, allowing me to learn more about Ishigaki Island.
That evening, it was clear, but unfortunately, we couldn't see any stars at all. It seems that judging whether the stars will be visible until the last minute is difficult due to the island's weather.
We were able to see many mountain creatures and plants!
I saw leaves and stick insects from a certain anime, geckos, and the shells of golden pupae of the Papilio butterfly, and I was very satisfied to see two coconut crabs as well!
It turned out to be a more enjoyable experience than I had expected.

Considering how much you can do, it's an incredible deal! We stopped by Mushroom Kingdom before lunch, and since we were there, we tried the premium mushroom soup! The lunch seemed a bit lacking for men, so if you can eat, it might be a good idea to have something beforehand. The course to fully enjoy nature was truly the best!

The bus guide shared various stories about Hokkaido, which was both educational and enjoyable. It was great to see the winter version of Asahiyama Zoo's animals. Since it was my second visit, I was able to read the exhibits that I couldn't read last time at a leisurely pace. On January 9, 2025, at 11 AM, the weather was cloudy with occasional rain. We had planned to go snorkeling at Shinjiko Beach, but due to strong winds and rough waves, we received a call in the morning to change our plans to Shigira Beach.
In January, the water temperature is quite low, so we borrowed wetsuits and after some stretching, we were given an explanation on how to use the snorkel and the right mindset for snorkeling. The fish and coral were very beautiful, but we were told that the encounter rate with sea turtles is lower here compared to Shinjiko.
To our surprise, right at the start, Yamachan spotted two green sea turtles! We were able to take photos with Yamachan's underwater camera, and afterwards, we were introduced to various fish, including the clownfish, which made for a truly memorable experience.
Even though the weather was bad, the underwater scenery was stunning, and we had a great time. Later, we received many photo files via LINE, which became a wonderful souvenir. Thank you very much!

新城海岸でのシュノーケリングの予定でしたが、大風で波がバタバタということで急きょシギラビーチに変更という電話を朝にいただきました。
１月は水温が低めなのでウェットスーツをお借りしてストレッチの後、シュノーケルの使い方や心構えを説明いただきトライ。
魚や珊瑚はとても綺麗だけど海亀が新城よりも少なく遭遇率が下がるというお話でしたが、
びっくり‼︎開始早々山ちゃんが２匹の青海亀を発見‼︎山ちゃん持参の水中カメラで撮影していただき、その後カクレクマノミをはじめとする様々なお魚を丁寧にご紹介いただき、感動の時間を過ごさせていただきました。
天気が悪くても海の中はとても綺麗でとても楽しめました。
その後に写真データをLINEでたくさんいただき、素敵なお土産になりました。

I participated in a day tour of stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) in the morning and snorkeling in the afternoon.
It had been lightly raining since the day before, and it continued to rain until the morning of the tour, but there were no issues with the morning SUP. By the afternoon, it cleared up a bit, so I was able to enjoy snorkeling without any problems. (Although it was supposed to be a tour of the Blue Cave, we had to snorkel at a different spot due to the weather.)
The SUP instructor was Mr. Kimura, who taught us energetically.
During the SUP in the mangroves, I was initially nervous about falling, but I got used to it and was able to focus on the scenery. (For those who are scared to stand, paddling in a cross-legged position is stable and comfortable. However, standing is much more fun! She fell in at the end, though.)
As long as you don't fall, you only get your feet and butt wet, so it's easy to enjoy, and I want to try it in the ocean next time.
We disbanded at the island terminal for lunch and ate Ishigaki beef burgers at a burger place recommended by Mr. Kimura called Vanilla Deli.
I ordered the double patty burger with avocado wasabi sauce that was recommended. Since it was Ishigaki beef, it was a bit pricey, but the minced patty was chunky and had a strong meat flavor, and the combination of the sweet sauce and wasabi sauce was excellent and very delicious.
We gathered again at the island terminal for the second half of the snorkeling.
Our guide was Mr. Sebastian. He was very cheerful and easy to talk to, and he was also very attentive to all the participants.
She tends to get seasick easily, so she felt a bit nauseous during the tour, but he quickly noticed and addressed it accurately, allowing her to recover and continue.
The visibility and the condition of the fish might not have been perfect due to the weather, but you can't control the weather in summer or winter, and I was able to enjoy it enough.

午前はsup、午後はシュノーケルの1日ツアーに参加させて頂きました。
前日から軽い雨で、ツアー当日の朝まで雨でしたが、午前のsupには特に支障はなく、午後からはそこそこ晴れたのでシュノーケリングも問題なく参加する事が出来ました。
(青の洞窟のツアーでしたが、天候の都合で別ポイントでのシュノーケリングとなりました。)
supは木村さんというインストラクターさんで、元気に教えて頂きました。
マングローブでのsup、最初は落ちたくない緊張感がありましたが途中から慣れてきて景色に集中できるようになりました。
(立つのが怖い人はあぐら状態で漕ぐと安定していて楽かもです。ただ立つほうがめっちゃ楽しいです！彼女は最後に落ちましたが)
基本落ちなければ濡れるのも足とお尻ぐらいなので気楽に楽しめるし、今度は海でやりたいと思いました。
お昼に離島ターミナルで1度解散し、木村さんオススメのバニラデリというハンバーガー屋で石垣牛ハンバーガーを食べました。
注文したのはオススメされたアボカドわさびソースバーガーのパテダブル。石垣牛という事もあり少しお値段はしますが、パテのミンチがゴロゴロと肉感が強く、甘いタレとわさびソースの相性も抜群でとても美味しかったです。
再び離島ターミナルで集合して、後半のシュノーケリングへ。
担当してくれたのはセバスチャンさん。
この方もとても明るく、接しやすい方で、また、参加者全員への気配りが丁寧な方でした。
彼女は酔いやすい体質なので、ツアー途中少しだけ波に酔う事もありましたが、素早く気付いてもらえ、的確に対処してもらえたのですぐ回復し、続行できました。
天候の影響で完璧な視界や魚たちの状態ではなかったかもしれませんが、夏でも冬でも天候の運はありますし、十分に楽しむ事ができました。
セバスチャンさんからは夜の飲食のおすすめ店をたくさん教えてもらいました。どこも知らない所で、とりあえず早速予約しました。
帰りはホテルまで送ってもらい、塩を流して一眠りし、美味い酒と飯へ…。涼しい石垣島のクリスマス、めっちゃ良いです。
次も閑散期を狙って、後は天候を神様に願い、今度こそ青の洞に行けたら、と思います。
