Cultural Experiences

Had an awesome time and would highly recommend. The restaurant is gorgeous and the staff extremely hospitable. The kaiseki dishes were very well liked by the three of us and their proprietary sake was excellent.

Our i... morenterpreter Peter was super chill and knowledgeable. Lastly our maiko, Kana Sue was fascinating to watch - the makeup, hair style, kimono, and all the meanings behind each intention of dress; the couple of dances she performed; and the hospitality services. Not to mention learning of her and many other girls' extremely committed lifestyle choice and what that entails to become a geisha was an eye opening seminar.

I would have liked to see some singing and instrument playing, but perhaps requesting a geisha over a maiko would have been prudent. An interpreter is necessary unless your fluent. Overall it was a highlight of my trip and I would do again.

Out of all of the activities we have done in Japan, this has turned to be the best one we have done! The owners are a married couple and both have been so nice and sweet. The whole activity is very immersive and we didn'... moret notice that 2 hours have went by so fast! They also served us sweets and tea before starting and they were all so delicious! I even had 5 refills of the tea.

On our next trip to Japan, we will for sure come by again to see you!

The activity was fun itself but I feel that it would have been better if we had more practice before the real thing!

Nonetheless, we enjoyed the activity.

When we think back to our class, we are still filled with the warmth, hospitality and expertise that we were able to experience.
Even though it was only just under 3 hours, we were able to get a great impression of the ... moreart of Kintsugi.
Our self-repaired cups, about which we received interesting historical information, will be one of the most precious memories of our trip to Japan.

Such a fun activity with my 16 year old daughter. We went to the studio and were pleasantly surprised to find out if was a personal lesson for just the two of us! Our teacher was so lovely and you could tell how passiona... morete she was about her craft. She explained the whole process thoroughly and helped us if we needed it on each step. The packaging so we could transport our projects back home was also amazing. I did not expect to have that done for us either! Highly recommend if you're into arts and crafts!!

It was fun, easy, and just a really nice experience all around. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone! :)
