The temperature is completely different from Sapporo. With strong winds that make you feel like you're going to fall and icy snow underfoot, you need to wear sturdy shoes, a hat, ear muffs, a neck warmer, and a thick jacket; otherwise, it's not just cold, it's unbearable. However, it's incredibly beautiful, and the craftsmanship of handmade items is truly impressive.
The photo spot with the name of the place at the entrance gets very crowded. Since there's a similar setup inside, it's better to take photos there.
It depends on the crowd situation, but if you're on a tour and waiting in line for the event where you can walk through the tunnel, you might not make it in time for the meeting.

転びそうな強風と足場は凍った雪なのでしっかりとした靴、帽子、耳あて、ネックウォーマー、厚手の上着着てないと寒いどころじゃないです。
でもものすごくキレイだし、人が手作業で作ったものの感動はすごいです。
入り口の地名入りの写真スポットはものすごく混み合います。中に同じものが設置されてあるのでそっちで写真取ったほうがいいです。
混雑状況によると思いますが、ツアーだとトンネルの中を歩けるイベントに並ぶと集合時間に間に合わないかもです。

I want to say that I was satisfied with the tour as planned, but perhaps because there were so few participants, we were in a regular van instead of a large bus, which was disappointing.
The ride was quite uncomfortable, and it shook a lot during the long-distance travel, which made me tired.
The driver had no ill intentions, but I would have appreciated at least some explanation or reasoning. If it's the same next time and we don't have a bus, I won't participate.

After that, you can stroll through the forest and limestone caves, looking for insects, animals, and plants. You can enjoy tracking with a guide while listening to explanations about the coconut crabs and bats of Ishigaki Island. However, the explanations about the stars may be somewhat lacking, so if you want to fully enjoy the night sky, I recommend joining a different tour.

I had a great time exploring Ishigaki Island and Taketomi Island. Unfortunately, it was cloudy, so the sea wasn't the beautiful blue you see in photos, but I was still moved by the light blue waters of Kabira Bay. For lunch, I enjoyed a set meal with a variety of Okinawan dishes, including some I had never tried before.
Speaking of Taketomi Island, it's famous for its water buffalo. It was a dream of mine to ride one someday, and I was so happy to finally experience it! Orion, the water buffalo, was a relaxed and adorable creature.
After the water buffalo experience, I wasn't quite sure where to go next or what the recommended spots were, so I ended up just wandering around. I would have appreciated a pamphlet with recommended spots or courses for Taketomi Island in advance.
That said, I had a fantastic day overall and was very satisfied.
初の石垣島と竹富島をたくさん楽しめました。あいにくの曇りだったので写真で見るようなブルーの海ではなかったですがそれでも川平湾は水色で綺麗だったので感動しました。ランチは沖縄らしいお惣菜がたくさんある定食で初めて食べるものもあって楽しめました。

When I arrived at the meeting place, most of the participants were foreign tourists, so I thought I might have mistakenly signed up for a tour for foreigners. However, the guide was very experienced and provided explanations in Japanese, English, and Chinese, which made the sightseeing smooth.

I'm glad I could participate in this tour that I gave up on last year. Since I can't drive and I'm traveling alone, I think it's a great opportunity for people like me to join. The Oishi Seirinsan course was easy to walk. I managed to walk two courses (it was great). I also thought it was nice that I could listen to the audio guide on the bus. The seafood lunch was really delicious. The tour guide was cheerful... We were blessed with good weather, and I was able to achieve the main purpose of this trip, making it a satisfying experience.

The bus tour guide shared the history of Sapporo, making the ride enjoyable. We also saw a lot of wild deer. When we arrived, the weather was nice, and the lake in front of us was beautiful. The sunset was late, and we entered while it was still bright, creating a very magical atmosphere reminiscent of the world of Frozen. The guide was considerate and pushed the meeting time to just before sunrise, but it was a bit disappointing that we could only see a little in complete darkness. The Sefa Utaki and the Gangala Valley were great. However, there was very little explanation from the tour guide, which made it difficult to understand during the gathering times. I think it would have been better to have a bit more overall explanation and details about the places we were going to visit.

The main Churaumi Aquarium was impressive! There were many other highlights as well. Additionally, the tour guide (bus) was attentive and made the experience feel less tiring. I was surprised by the height of the emergency evacuation slide. I had seen it in dramas, but I thought the height from the aircraft would be even more impressive. I believe that emergency evacuation training can sometimes be accompanied by fear. However, thinking about how the training of the crew can save the lives of hundreds of people fills me with gratitude and a warm feeling of being able to fly safely.

I went to see the ski jump at Okurayama, but the lift was under maintenance, so I couldn't ride it. There weren't many other tourist spots, so I wish I could have experienced that. The outer market had a lot of shops, which surprised me. Since it was the last day, I opted for a half-day of sightseeing, but I think this kind of sightseeing can be nice too.

I participated in the same VELTRA bus tour in Miyako Island three days before this tour. At that time, it was a longer tour, but perhaps because I had a good impression from that experience, I enjoyed this one as well.
