It was a very busy time in Kyoto due to the autumn leaves, but the experience was extremely comfortable with short walking distances, making for an easy journey. I wanted to enjoy the nature of Ishigaki Island, so I signed up for SUP and snorkeling. Unfortunately, the weather didn't turn out to be the clear skies I had hoped for, but thanks to our guide and everyone else in the same team, I had a very enjoyable and wonderful day.
During the morning SUP experience, we had a very cheerful guide, and my wife, daughter, and the other participants were all smiles. SUP surrounded by the mangroves and banyan trees in the great outdoors was fantastic.
In the afternoon, we went snorkeling. Although it was cloudy, the underwater scenery was more beautiful than I had imagined, and the guide was very thorough and kind in his explanations, allowing us to fully enjoy the waters of Ishigaki. Additionally, the guide shared recommendations for delicious places to eat, which was very helpful.
石垣島の自然を楽しみたかったので、SUPとシュノーケリングにエントリーしました。
天候は、残念ながら期待していた快晴とまではならなかったのですが、ガイドさんや、同じチームで参加された皆さんのお陰で、とても楽しく素敵な1日を過ごすことができました。
午前中のSUP体験ではとてもオモシロ陽気なガイドさんがついてくれて、妻も娘も他の参加者もずっと笑顔でした。マングローブやガジュマルの木に囲まれた大自然の中でのSUPは最高でした。
午後からはシュノーケリング。天気はくもりだったのですが、海の中は想像以上に美しく、ガイドさんもとても丁寧で親切に説明してくれるので、石垣の海を満喫する事ができました。
また、ガイドさんは美味しいお店など石垣の楽しみかたも教えてくれて参考になりました。

I participated in the tour in late March. This place wasn't too cold, and although there was still some snow, it didn't fall during our tour that day. There was only one other group of Japanese people besides us. The guide was from China and provided explanations in Japanese, English, and Chinese. His Japanese was quite good, but if you don't pay close attention, you might miss important information... The bus etiquette of the foreign guests was very poor. The couple sitting next to me stood up dozens of times while the bus was moving to get their luggage from the overhead compartment or to change seats with each other. I was really worried they might stumble and fall over into my space.
3月後半に参加しました。
こちらの場所はそんなに寒くもなく、雪は残ってましたがこの日のツアーの間は降りませんでした。
私たち以外に日本の方はもう一組だけでした。
ガイドさんは中国の方で、日本語、英語、中国語で説明してくださいました。
日本語お上手ですが、しっかり聞いてないと、大切なことを聞き逃してしまいます…
外国の方のバスのマナーがとても悪かったです。
横の席のご夫婦は、走行中に何十回と立ち上がり、棚の上の荷物を取ったり前後で席を変わったり。よろけてこちらに倒れてくるんじゃないかとヒヤヒヤしてました。

I was initially unsure about the location near the hotel, but I ended up feeling the incredible nature of Iriomote Island, as I got to see a coconut crab (it's rare to see two at once) and encountered a habu snake.
The closeness of the starry sky after turning off the lights on the beach is an experience that you can't have in the city, so I think those staying on Iriomote Island should consider participating in this.
*Even without joining a tour, you can see amazing starry skies in Iriomote, but I feel there is a difference between being in complete darkness and not.*

After about an hour of traveling by boat to where the whales are, we were able to observe them for an hour! I was very moved to see the whale performance called breaching up close. The waves were high, and I felt a sense of floating repeatedly, so I was doing my best not to get seasick. Since we couldn't return immediately if we felt unwell, it requires some mental preparation.

First of all, to get straight to the point, I found the experience quite disappointing, and I regret not choosing a different tour. The schedule was excessively delayed, and it was too packed, so we couldn't properly enjoy the aquarium. At the American Village, we only had an hour, but the bus was far away, and the restrooms were crowded. After a quick bite, we had to rush back to the bus. As a result, we didn't see anything. There's no way to cover everything in just one hour. We were over an hour late, so we had to cancel our dinner reservation.
I would be surprised if anyone thought this course and its timing were appropriate after trying it out.
I think it would be better to revise the itinerary to allow for more time to truly enjoy the experience. Also, the driver ignored my child every time they said thank you, which was concerning.
One silver lining was that the tour guide was kind and responsive when one of my children started feeling unwell.

ちゃんと満喫できるように、時間に余裕もてる内容に見直ししたほうが良いかと思います。
また、運転手の方、子供が有難うと何度いっても無視。どうかと思います。
1人子供の具合がわるくなったのですが、添乗員の方が親切に対応してくださったのだけが救いです。

Thank you to the guide and the driver for a wonderful day. I chose Okinawa for my grandchildren's graduation trip. I was worried that Churaumi Aquarium was far from Naha, but thanks to the guide's stories and the driver's safe driving, we had a very meaningful day. Among other things, the scenery of Kouri Island, which the guide personally recommended, was breathtaking. The guide was a lively veteran at the age of 77. We arrived at Yakushima in the morning and participated in the half-day course in the afternoon. Trekking in light rain added a certain charm to the moss. I heard that it had been sunny until the day before, and at that time, the moss was completely dry. I actually appreciated the rainy weather.
The guide was a local who grew up in Yakushima and shared various stories with us. He brought fresh juice squeezed from "tankans" that he had planted in his garden, and as a reward for our efforts at the end, he treated us to the juice. It was sweet and delicious.
There were many photo spots, and the guide had a routine of saying, "Stand here—take the photo from this angle!" We probably spent more time taking pictures than actually walking. "こだま"という小さなアイテムを持ってきていて、すてきな写真が取れました。
逆に言うと、映え写真に興味のない方には、”また、撮影～？”と思うかもしれません。私がそうなのですが、、、
ただ、ホスピタリティ溢れるガイドさんで、参加してよかったです。

I used the tour on the morning of the day I was leaving Yakushima, departing at 13:45. I was a bit anxious about whether I would make it in time, but I really enjoyed the tour. The Chihiro Falls and Okawa Falls were quite impressive. On the Western Forest Road, monkeys were playing around, blocking the road. After seeing the monkeys twice, we spotted a deer. It felt like a safari park with all the wildlife. We finished about 10 minutes earlier than scheduled, which gave us time to buy souvenirs at the Furusato Market, and we arrived at the airport comfortably by bus.

When you think of Yakushima, you think of Jomon Sugi, so I signed up with a light heart, but it was tougher than I imagined. Without the encouragement from the group members with guide Mr. Mitsuhashi, I definitely wouldn't have made it. He was a really great guide, and he took some wonderful photos for us.
