The first day of the tour to Jomon Sugi was incredibly fun! However, on the second day, unfortunately, it rained at Shiratani Unsuikyo. During our drive there, the guide mentioned that reaching Taiko Rock might not be possible today. I understood that due to the typhoon, we had to take a detour and follow an irregular course.

In conclusion, we couldn't go to Taiko Rock or the mossy forest, and we ended up just circling around the entrance of Shiratani Unsuikyo for about an hour and a half. Of course, the guide provided explanations throughout.

After that, we were taken to a lunch spot that the guide recommended, and we disbanded around 11 AM. We had planned for a tour from 3:30 PM to 4 PM, considering the time until our flight home, and we had brought our own lunch. We booked this tour specifically looking for one that included transportation.

In the end, after disbanding, we had lunch at the restaurant the guide introduced us to, spent time looking at souvenirs until the bus departure, and then returned to the hotel by bus. The guide was encouraging to the individuals and groups we passed at Shiratani Unsuikyo, wishing them to be careful.

It seemed like many others were able to go further in, which made me a bit skeptical. Since there were others in our group who had to retire partway through the Jomon Sugi tour, I wondered if that was taken into consideration.

Personally, this was my second time visiting Jomon Sugi, and it was my first time at Shiratani Unsuikyo, so I chose this tour with great anticipation for Shiratani Unsuikyo and traveled to Yakushima. I expected rain in Yakushima, but if the rain was truly the reason we couldn't go, were there really no alternative plans until around 4 PM when we disbanded? I paid for a full day's worth of the tour, and it turned out to be a very disappointing day, leaving me feeling sad.

However, I am grateful for the enjoyable and thorough explanations provided. I would like to try again in Yakushima.

2日間のツアーで、1日目の縄文杉は最高に楽しかったです！
しかし、2日目。
白谷雲水峡はあいにくの雨でした。
向かっている最中にも車の中ででガイドの方から、太鼓岩までは今日は無理かも？と言うお話しがありました。台風の影響で迂回となりイレギュラーなコースでの対応になっている事も理解しておりました。
結論からいうと、太鼓岩もですが苔むす森も行けず、白谷雲水峡入口近辺をくるりと1時間半ほど周って終了でした。勿論ご丁寧に都度ガイドはして頂けましたが。
その後、ランチのお店をご紹介頂いてそこまで送って頂き、11時台には解散でした。
こちらとしては、15時半〜16時までのツアーで丸1日帰る飛行機までの時間で予定をしておりましたし、お弁当も持参で行っております。送迎付きを探してこのツアーも予約もしました。
結局は解散後、ガイドの方にご紹介して頂いたお店で昼食を食べ、バスの時間までお土産物を見て時間を潰し、バスでホテルまで戻りました。
ガイドの方は、白谷雲水峡ですれ違った個人の方か団体の方かはわかりませんが、その方々には、気をつけていってらっしゃい！！とお声を掛けておられました。
その他の方も沢山の方が奥まで行かれているように見えました。
ん？それなら自分達も途中までなら行けるのでは？と少し不信感をいだきました。
1日目の縄文杉ツアーで、途中でリタイアした方も同じグループで一緒でしたので、その方の足の具合を考慮されたのか？？と、勝手な想像で頭がいっぱいになりました。
個人的には縄文杉は2度目で、白谷雲水峡は今回が初めてでしたので、どちらかといえば白谷雲水峡をとても楽しみにこのツアーを選び、屋久島に行きました。
屋久島での雨は想定内でしたし、もし本当に雨が理由で行けなかったのなら、解散の16時くらいまでの他の代案はなかったのでしょうか？
1日分の代金も支払っていますし、すごく残念な1日になり、悲しい気持ちになりました。

ただ、楽しくご丁寧にご説明頂いた事には感謝しております。
また屋久島再チャレンジしたいと思います。

I had researched what I needed in advance, but I received a confirmation call on the day I arrived in Yakushima. It was a group reservation, but since no one else participated, we had the entire tour to ourselves! To be honest, I wasn't very confident in my physical strength, so I was grateful for that. A bus came to pick us up in front of the hotel at 4:20, and we moved to the trailhead with other tour participants. We had our first breakfast at the trailhead. After using the restroom, we set off! We walked along the trolley path in complete darkness. Tsugimura-san kept us entertained with quizzes about Princess Mononoke and Yakushima, making the trekking enjoyable. Once we got on the mountain path, we were too focused on not falling or tripping to do any more quizzes, and it took us about five hours to reach the summit! We finally met the Jomon Sugi!! Even while climbing, we received advice like "be careful here" and "walk on this side," which allowed us, as almost beginners in mountain climbing, to follow along with peace of mind. On the second day, the weather was bad in the morning, so we delayed our departure. I appreciated the various alternative suggestions based on the weather. We couldn't make it to Taiko Rock due to time constraints, but we were very satisfied with the small stream that often appears on posters! It was fun to experience the world of Princess Mononoke. Overall, it was a very satisfying tour! Thank you so much, Tsugimura-san!!

必要なものは事前に調べていましたが、屋久島に到着した日に事前確認の連絡を頂きました。グループの予約でしたが、他の方の参加がなく私たちだけで完全貸切でした！正直体力に自信がなかったのでありがたかったです。4:20にホテル前にバスが来てくれ登山口まで他のツアーの方と一緒に移動。登山口で最初の朝ごはんを頂きます。トイレを済ませていざ出発！真っ暗闇の中トロッコ道を進みました。津曲さんは私たちが退屈しないようにもののけ姫クイズや屋久島クイズを出してくれ楽しくトレッキングができました。山道からはクイズをしている余裕もなくなり、転ばないように落ちないように慎重に着いていくことに必死になりながら行き5時間ほどかけて登頂！念願の縄文杉に会えました！！登っている時もここに注意してや、こっち側歩くようにとアドバイスを頂き山登りほぼ初心者の私達も安心してついて行けました。2日目の白谷は午前中天候が悪く時間をずらしての出発となりました。天候によって色々他の提案頂いてありがたかったです。時間的に太鼓岩まで行けなかったですが、ポスターによく載っている小川まだ行け大満足でした！もののけ姫の世界観で楽しかったです。総じて大満足のツアーでした！津曲さん本当にありがとうございました！！

At first, unfortunately, it rained, but Mr. Kobashigawa thoughtfully prepared an umbrella. He kindly mentioned, “The inside of Gyokusendo Cave is a bit dark and there are stairs, so please be careful not to slip.” Due to the rain, he quickly contacted the next destination in advance and changed the location on the spot, which was a great initiative.

We bought fresh fruits and rice at Itoman Fishing Port Market, and afterward, we enjoyed a feast of fresh seafood. The southern drive course was amazing; the rain stopped, and we looked up at the blue sky while eating ice cream.

We strolled around Shurijo Castle Park. It’s very unfortunate that it is currently under reconstruction, but I was very happy to be able to stop the car for a few minutes to take good photos of Shurijo Castle.

Time flew by so quickly. This was my first time participating in a VELTRA tour, and it was very convenient and allowed for a lot of freedom while traveling, which made me very happy!

At first, we thought we would just charter a taxi and explore on our own, but it turned out to be great with the driver providing a guided tour. We learned many interesting things that weren't in the brochures. Although the arrival of the Shinkansen was delayed, we were able to coordinate and meet up. Even though it was a short time, we managed to visit all the places we wanted to efficiently. I felt sorry that we didn't have time for lunch (and didn't let the driver take a break either).

I was able to enjoy sightseeing not only on the course but also at local spots unique to the local drivers. The photos are from places outside of the course. We also visited Yamadoku Soy Sauce for a tour. The driving on the mountain roads was careful, and the guidance was at a comfortable distance, allowing me to enjoy my solo trip without getting tired. I definitely want to use this service on my next trip as well.

We were concerned about the crowds and potential delays due to traffic, but the veteran driver showcased their skills. They provided a better travel experience by adapting to the situation on the spot. Thanks to them, we were able to efficiently explore Takachiho and Aso. Although we couldn't visit the crater at the top of Mount Aso due to its closure, the natural beauty of Aso seen from the car window was breathtaking. The magnificent scenery of Kusasenri, with the pampas grass blooming in autumn, shimmering and waving in the sunset, was very impressive. There was no worry about our luggage during sightseeing, as we were picked up at the hotel and safely delivered to Kumamoto Airport.

I used the same plan as last year and repeated my experience this time. Since I used it on the last day of my trip, I opted for a taxi instead of a bus to avoid the risk of missing my return Shinkansen.

Two days before the tour, I was surprised to be told, "The guide is unwell and we're looking for another guide. Since we can't provide transportation, please make your own way to the bus stop if you have a rental car." It seems that the six-person tour was adjusted to include the two of us, making it eight. With more people, the time for restroom breaks and walking can be limited, so I think the other participants felt a bit of a wild card situation. The good thing was that the guide was very experienced and shared fascinating information about Yakushima, completely changing my previous image of the island. We canceled our visit to Shiratani Unsuikyo because it was flooded due to rain, and we were told we would have to turn back if we went. However, it cleared up in the afternoon, so I went individually to "Mossy Forest" and returned. The course was restricted due to landslides and fallen trees, and you can't know the local conditions until you go, so definitely make sure to get a map at the entrance. There was a fallen tree that suddenly appeared; I was able to crawl under it on the way there, but when I turned back, it had been cut down with a chainsaw or something. The response to trail issues is quick. If you have a guide, there's no need to worry.

ツアーの前々日に「ガイドが体調不良で他のガイドを探している。送迎できないのでレンタカーあるなら自力でバス乗り場まで来て」と言われ面食らった。恐らく6名のツアーに私達2名が振り分けられ8名になったようだ。人数多いとトイレの時間などで歩行時間が削られて厳しくなるので、同行ツアーの人にはワイルドカード感が半端なかったと思う。よかった事はガイドの方がベテランの方で、屋久島の事を興味深く教えてくれて、いままでの私の屋久島のイメージが覆された事。セミナーを受けたくらい勉強になった。白谷雲水峡は雨のため増水し、行っても途中で引き返すことになると言われたのでキャンセルした。午後から晴れたので個人で「苔むす森」まで行って帰ってきたが、土砂崩れや倒木でコースが制限されたり現地の状況は行ってみないと分からないので、必ず地図は入り口でもらいましょう（突然発生した倒木があり、行きはくぐって通り抜けたが、引き返したときにはチェーンソー？か何かで切られていた、登山道の対応は早い）。ガイド居れば心配ないですけどね。

We used this service for a 2-night, 3-day sightseeing trip with our family of five. Due to some physical inconveniences, we opted for this plan, and thanks to the driver's excellent knowledge and service, it turned out to be an even more enjoyable experience than we had imagined. The driver also advised us on the best spots for photos, made lunch reservations according to our preferences, and shared various stories about Kyoto while we were in the taxi, making it the best trip ever. Unexpected heavy rain from the morning. However, I left everything to the driver, and it turned into a fun trip. The behind-the-scenes guidance was full of things I didn't know, which was very informative. For lunch, I had requested yudofu in advance and went to a place that was recommended, and it was just the best. The staff there were amazing too. My mother seemed so happy that she was almost in tears. It was tough at Kiyomizu-dera in the heavy rain, but Mr. Katayama kept saying he was sorry for the weather and asked us not to dislike Kyoto and to come back again. Choosing taxi sightseeing was definitely the right decision for this trip. Thank you for the day, Mr. Katayama.

During the three-day weekend in November, I visited Kyoto, which was experiencing overtourism. My mother and I did a lot of research on how to navigate the crowded tourist spots. Both private cars and public transportation were extremely congested, and taxis were hard to catch, so we decided to book a private sightseeing taxi. We were finally able to secure one through Veltra a month in advance. Although it was a three-hour rental, we were extremely satisfied. Our driver was a seasoned professional who was very knowledgeable about Kyoto, well-versed in its history, and skilled at storytelling. He also knew great places to eat, allowing us to smoothly visit all the sights we wanted! Even in crowded Kyoto, we were able to enjoy Ryozenji Temple, Imamiya Shrine, and Kodaiji Temple to the fullest, and I’m really glad we used the sightseeing taxi. It became a wonderful memory. I toured Kyoto city with my mother. The driver was very knowledgeable, so if we communicated where we wanted to go, he would suggest the time allocation and the order of the places to visit. If we wished, he also provided a guided tour, and if there was time, he took us to some sightseeing spots we didn't know about. Since Kyoto has many tourists, I don't think we could have covered as much on our own. I especially recommend this for older people.
