I arrived at Kyoto Station by Shinkansen and headed to the taxi stand at Hachijo Exit. There was a separate waiting line for reserved taxis, and the taxi arrived right on time.
Having a chartered taxi for sightseeing with my elderly mother was the best choice; even in May, the summer heat was intense, and it was a relief for me too!
I had planned a course with four temples that had fewer stone steps, making it easier for the elderly to walk. However, on the day, the driver suggested some changes, and we visited Chishaku-in → Sennyu-ji → Shogunzuka → Eikando → back to the hotel, arriving exactly four hours later. We had plenty of time to explore each temple.
Normally, I would use buses or the subway, but when traveling with the elderly, a sightseeing taxi is truly convenient. Plus, they can take pictures for you, so depending on your needs, I think you can enjoy a more fulfilling sightseeing experience.
I heard that it's also recommended for cherry blossom and autumn foliage illuminations, so I would like to try it next time.

さて、コースは石段が少なくてお年寄りにも歩きやすいお寺を４つ考えていましたが、当日運転手さんのご提案で変更も加え、智積院→泉涌寺→将軍塚→永観堂→宿泊ホテルへというコースで、ぴったり4時間後にホテルに到着。それぞれのお寺で観光時間も十分でした。
普段はバスや地下鉄で回りますが、お年寄りと一緒の場合は観光タクシーは本当に楽ちんで、お写真も撮っていただるので、目的に応じて利用すると、より充実した観光が楽しめると思いました。
桜や紅葉のライトアップのはしごなどにも、おススメとお聞きしたので、次回、利用してみたいと思いました。

京都の有名所はインバウンドで大変賑わっているので、穴場に行きたい場合は、相談すると驚くほど静かな場所で、まったりと過ごすことが可能です。

I used this service for a family trip. When I communicated the places I wanted to visit in advance, they thoughtfully considered the travel time and planned accordingly. On the day of the trip, they even took us to good spots along the way and suggested new sightseeing locations when it seemed we had some extra time. We enjoyed a fun day filled with informative and interesting stories about Hokkaido while in the car. My parents seemed to have a great time as well. I would like to request their tour guidance again the next time I go sightseeing!

I used this service for a trip with my elderly mother. We considered taking a sightseeing bus, but since my mother has bad knees and walks slowly, we opted for a sightseeing taxi. The price is certainly higher, but it allows us to follow a plan we like and offers flexibility, which was very good. I especially recommend it for seniors.

I made a reservation for the first half of Golden Week on Sunday. Due to traffic, I couldn't visit Shirakawa Suigen and the Nakadake Crater of Mount Aso. I think this plan is only feasible with a reservation on a weekday. The driver was kind.

Thanks to the strong recommendation from our driver, we extended our departure by 30 minutes for a total of four hours. It's true that outside of the national roads, we were driving at a safe speed of 30 to 40 km/h, so going over time might be understandable!
Kankakei has plenty of viewpoints, and we stopped here and there to take photos, which made for great memories. The Shinpaku trees looked different depending on where you viewed them, and our driver was very knowledgeable about the history of Shodoshima, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
I considered skipping Angel Road since it wasn't the time when the road appears, but when we actually went, the sea was beautiful! I was very satisfied with the stunning view.
I was also pleased that we could visit all the places I wanted to see at the Setouchi Triennale!
The actual time taken from the hotel to Kankakei, Angel Road, Nakayama Senmaida, Shinpaku at Hosho-in, Olive Park, and the ferry terminal was about 4 hours and 13 minutes.

ホテル～寒霞渓～エンジェルロード～中山千枚田～宝生院のシンパク～オリーブ公園～フェリー乗り場までで、実際所要時間は4時間13分位でした。

I arranged a rental taxi for VIP clients as a tour guide. Since it was a family of five plus myself, it was just right to have a six-seater.
We initially planned to visit 1. Kinkaku-ji, 2. Ginkaku-ji, 3. Kiyomizu-dera, 4. Fushimi Inari Taisha, and 5. Gion, but based on the driver's advice, we reversed the order. So, we went to Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kiyomizu-dera, and then Ginkaku-ji first. The driver consulted with us about what was realistic and what we might not have time for, adjusting to the clients' pace.
On the way to Kinkaku-ji, the client's condition suddenly worsened (it was unrelated to the drive and was due to a pre-existing illness), and the driver offered to take us to a nearby emergency hospital, but it seemed it wasn't that serious, so we ended up parting ways at Kyoto Station.
If we had followed the original order, we definitely wouldn't have been able to see Fushimi Inari Taisha, so I'm glad we took the driver's advice in the morning.
In the future, if I need a chartered taxi again, I would like to request it once more.
観光ガイドとしてVIPクライアントのために貸し借りタクシーを手配しました。5人家族とガイドの私で6人でしたのて、6人乗りでちょうどよかったです。
1.金閣寺、2.銀閣寺、3.清水寺、4.伏見稲荷神社、5.祇園で行く予定でしたが、運転手さんのアドバイスで順番を逆にすることなかしました。つまり、先に伏見稲荷神社、清水寺、銀閣寺というルートで行きました。運転手さんがクライアントのペースに合わせながら、何が現実的か何をもう間に合わないかも相談に乗ってくれました。
金閣寺に行く途中でクライアントの具合がいきなり悪くなり(運転は関係なく前からあった病気)運転手さんが近くの緊急病院に連れてくれようとオファーしてくれましたが、それほどではなかったみたいので、結局京都駅で解散となった。
もし予定通りの順番で行ったら伏見稲荷神社は確実に見れなかったので、朝運転手さんのアドバイスに従って行ってよかったです。
今後、貸切タクシーが必要になったらまたお願いしたいと思います。

During the crowded Golden Week in Kyoto, my kids wanted to see both Kinkaku-ji and Ginkaku-ji, which are quite far apart. I also wanted to visit Kitano Tenmangu, but with only four hours until our shinkansen departure, we were unsure how to manage our time. This was my first time making a reservation here, and it turned out to be a great decision! K-san, who was in charge, shared many interesting stories with us, making our travel time very meaningful. The kids, including a middle schooler and an upper elementary schooler, enjoyed the explanations that weren't in the guidebooks. We were able to take our time at the three locations thanks to K-san! It would have been impossible for us to do this on our own. We also appreciated the many photos taken. The stories related to the Daimonji were very educational, and I wished I could have heard even more. Next time I visit Kyoto, I will make a longer reservation. Thank you very much!

We used a private taxi as a couple. There was traffic everywhere during Golden Week, but they took us to our destination comfortably via back roads. They recommended a restaurant that serves takana rice, which can only be found in Kumamoto, and it was very delicious.
I initially mentioned that I wanted to see places rich in nature, and we visited Daikanbo, Kometsuka, Kusasenri, and Shirakawa Suigen. We also stopped by the Luffy statue, the Usopp statue, and Kumamoto Castle, making for a very satisfying day.
The driver was very knowledgeable, and I was able to learn about Kumamoto's history, local specialties, and earthquakes. I had a wonderful day and would like to use this service again!

During our first trip to Kumamoto as a couple, we used this service to explore the Takachiho and Aso areas.
The driver was very friendly and skilled at driving, and he provided a lot of guidance, incorporating stories about the geography and mythology.
The scheduling was perfect. Since we were coming from the Amakusa area the day before, he picked us up at the southernmost station in Kumamoto City and took us to Kumamoto Airport on our return. He adjusted the sightseeing spots and lunch places based on the weather and other conditions, and everything was right on time!
Initially, we considered renting a car, but later realized that we wouldn't have been able to experience so much in just one day on our own. We were really glad we used this service.

I was glad to receive the goshuin from Asato Hachiman Shrine this time, as I couldn't get it during my previous visit. For lunch, I was taken to a local diner where the locals go. I toured Naminoue Shrine, the neighboring Gokokuji, and Shuri Castle in six hours. It's efficient to visit these places, so I highly recommend it.

I used a sightseeing taxi to tour Mount Aso and Takachiho. This course was a plan to enjoy the breathtaking natural scenery, and I had previously mentioned, "I would be happy if we could also visit the One Piece statue." We were able to safely visit the crater of Mount Aso, and seeing the massive crater up close was stunning. It was more magnificent than I had imagined, and I was overwhelmed by the scale that photos and videos just can't convey. The weather was also favorable, allowing me to fully enjoy the grandeur of Aso's nature.
Additionally, the driver's guidance was very attentive, and along the way, he shared stories about the Kumamoto earthquake. Honestly, I had only seen it on the news before and hadn't thought deeply about it, but hearing about the actual damage and the recovery efforts made me realize the seriousness of the earthquake and the hardships faced by the local people. It was not just a sightseeing trip, but also an educational journey that left a strong impression on me.
The takana rice we had at a local diner we stopped by was also very delicious, and it was one of the highlights of the trip. I believe being able to taste local flavors is one of the unique charms of this kind of sightseeing taxi.
Above all, the driver's service was truly wonderful. He always greeted us with a smile and engaged us in conversation to keep us entertained during the ride. I felt his consideration in understanding our wishes and acting on them, which allowed us to spend the day with peace of mind.

阿蘇山の火口にも無事行けて、大迫力の火口を間近で見られたのは圧巻でした。
想像していた以上に壮大で、写真や映像では伝わらないスケール感に圧倒されました。
天候にも恵まれて、阿蘇の雄大な自然をしっかり満喫することができました。
また、運転手さんの案内もとても丁寧で、道中では熊本地震のお話もしてくださいました。
正直、これまではニュースで見ていた程度で、そこまで深く考えたことはなかったのですが、実際の被害状況や復興の様子を聞くことで、あらためて地震の深刻さや地域の方々の大変さを知ることができました。観光だけでなく、学びのある旅にもなり、とても印象に残っています。
途中で立ち寄った地元の食堂でいただいた高菜ごはんもとても美味しく、旅の楽しみのひとつとして大満足でした。地元の味を味わえるのも、こうした観光タクシーならではの魅力だと思います。
そして何より、運転手さんの対応が本当に素晴らしかったです。
常に笑顔で接してくださり、移動中も退屈しないようにたくさん話しかけてくださいました。私たちの希望をしっかり汲んで行動してくれる気遣いも感じられて、安心して1日を過ごすことができました。
長時間の運転と丁寧な案内、本当にありがとうございました。
また熊本に来る機会があれば、ぜひ同じドライバーさんにお願いしたいと思うほど、心に残る素敵な体験でした！

This was my first time using a sightseeing taxi for my trip. I was extremely satisfied with the experience! Since my husband and I don't drive, this plan was perfect for visiting shrines that can only be accessed by car. We told the taxi driver which shrines we wanted to visit and the time for our return Shinkansen, and then we left the route up to him! It was raining, but being in a taxi made it completely fine! Whether it was my husband or the driver, the rain stopped when we went to pay our respects, which was a surprise! (laughs) The driver was also a wonderful person, and I got to hear many interesting stories as he had studied a lot. It truly became a great trip. Thank you so much, driver. I will use this service again.

The driver from Koushin Taxi took me to a cherry blossom spot that is rarely visited by foreigners, and he also acted as a guide. I was able to enjoy a very pleasant and wonderful view of the cherry blossoms and the three-leaf azaleas.
