I participated in the ANA BLUE BASE tour for the first time. Since I was attending alone, I was a bit anxious at first, but there were several others who came alone as well. Upon entering the lobby, it was filled with the pleasant scent of ANA.

After checking in, I stored my luggage in a locker. There was a little time before the tour started, so I spent some time exploring the entrance. Once the tour began, a flight attendant guided us. There were so many different job roles, the qualifications needed for those roles, and training that I was unaware of, leading to many new discoveries. I was fortunate to observe a training session, and it made me deeply appreciate the rigorous training that ensures our safety when flying.

When I asked questions to the flight attendants, they patiently explained until I understood, and they even reached out for clarification on things I didn't understand, responding to our needs. It was a fulfilling and meaningful time filled with insights and discoveries. I would love to participate again if the opportunity arises! Thank you very much!

初めてANA BLUE BASEツアーに参加させて頂きました。1人で参加だったので最初は少し不安でしたが、お一人で来られている方数名いらっしゃいました。ロビーに入るとANAのいい香りで満たされます＾＾
受付を済ませ、荷物はロッカーに預けます。その後ツアー開始まで少し時間があるのでエントランスで見学をしていました。ツアーが始まると、CAさんが案内してくださいます。沢山の職種や、その職種に必要な資格、訓練など知らないことばかりで、新しい発見が沢山ありました。丁度、訓練をしているところを見学でき、改めて、このような大変な訓練をされているから、私たちは安全に飛行機に乗れるんだなと、深く実感し、感謝の気持ちが溢れました。CAさんに質問した際にも、分かるまで丁寧に、分からないことは連絡とったりして下さり、私たちが求めていることを読んで、対応してくださりました。終始気づきや発見ばかりでとても充実した、有意義な時間になりました。また機会があれば是非参加させて頂きたいです♪

The attendants who are actively working provide very thorough explanations about each training session. Along the way, I encountered several participants in training, and they were all very serious, which reinforced my sense of their commitment to safety. I had a wonderful experience.

I was worried because of the bad reviews, but since I couldn't make a reservation anywhere else, I reluctantly booked. Just as the reviews said, the guide was the worst.

On the way there, there was only minimal explanation at key points, and the pace was slow to accommodate an elderly couple. When we arrived at Jomon Sugi, the guide only mentioned the photo and meeting times without any explanation, and was chatting with guides from other companies. On the way back, the guide realized they had forgotten to explain something and started talking, but is this really a certified guide?

On the return trip, there was no explanation from the guide at all, as they were too busy caring for the elderly couple. It was so slow that I was glad they let us move ahead. Walking slowly while listening to various interesting stories filled with love for Yakushima from guides of other companies made the return trip enjoyable and helped me forget my fatigue.

The guides from this company forced us to walk silently and quickly like a military unit, looking down the whole time, which was completely boring. They mentioned feeling sleepy on the way back, but that’s likely due to the thoughtless and dull guidance.

The charm of Yakushima is greatly diminished. I do not recommend this company.

往路は要所の最低限の説明はあったが、老夫婦にあわせたスローペース。
縄文杉に到着したら撮影と集合時間だけ言って説明無し、他社のガイドと雑談してた。帰りがけに忘れてたことに気付いて説明してましたが、これで本当に認定ガイドですか？
復路は、ガイド説明等は一切無し、老夫婦ケアで精一杯。あまりに遅くて、先に進ませてくれたのは良かった。他社のガイドの屋久島愛あふれるいろんな面白いお話を聞きながらゆっくり歩くことは帰りの疲れを忘れさせてもらえる楽しい一時でした。
ここの会社のガイドは無言で早足で軍隊のように下を見て歩くことを強要し全くつまらない。
帰りは眠くなると言ってましたが、思いやりのない退屈なガイドのせいでもあるでしょう。
屋久島の魅力が半減します。この会社はお勧めしません。

- Day 1: Jomon Sugi -

I usually exercise moderately, but this was my first time climbing a mountain, and I was very anxious about whether I could climb for 10 hours. The first half was a monotonous trolley path, while the second half was a hard path like an athletic course. However, since I don't mind exercising, the hard path was thrilling and enjoyable.

Along the way, the guide provided detailed explanations about the cedar trees, moss, and the history of Yakushima. This was my first time having a guide, and I realized, "So this is the joy of having a guide!" My perspective on the cedars changed as my knowledge increased, and it was fun.

I thought the return trip on the trolley path would be monotonous and tiring, but our guide, Tsugimachi, kept us entertained with quizzes, making the journey very enjoyable. The turtle quiz, in particular, allowed me to learn about sea turtles. I also played Magical Banana for the first time in a while, and it was fun to interact with the other participants! I was happy that we took many photos together. Thank you so much! ⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎

- Day 2: Shiratani Unsuikyo -

I was worried about whether I could handle two consecutive days of climbing for my first time, but surprisingly, I recovered well. On the second day, I was guided by Mr. Taniguchi. Following Mr. Tsugimachi from yesterday, he provided thorough explanations along the way, was considerate of our pace since it was the day after Jomon Sugi, and engaged in enjoyable conversations, making the climb feel quick! Although the weather was cloudy, I was moved to see the magnificent view from Taiko Rock. The mossy forest on the way back was shrouded in mist, creating a very mystical atmosphere. Mr. Taniguchi also took many photos and taught me how to take them, which was very educational! Thank you! ⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎

This was my first mountain climbing experience, and my first time having a guide. I was truly impressed by how the guides were attentive to the participants' well-being and took many photos to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves. They are really like super salespeople in a way.

普段、運動は適度にしていますが山登りは初めてで10時間も登れるのかとても不安でした。
前半は単調なトロッコ道で後半はアスレチックのようなハードな道でしたが、運動が苦ではないのでアスレチックのようなハードな道はスリルがあり楽しかったです。

道中では、杉や苔、屋久島の歴史などの説明を詳しくしてくださり、初めてガイドさんを付けさせていただきましたが、「これがガイドさんをつける醍醐味か！」と知識が増えていくことで杉の見方などがかわり、楽しかったです。

帰りのトロッコ道がひたすら単調でしんどくなるかと思いましたが、ガイドの津曲さんがクイズなどを出してくださり、とても楽しい道中となりました。とくにウミガメクイズはウミガメについて学ぶことができました。久しぶりにマジカルバナナをしましたが、他の参加者の方とも交流できて楽しかったです！写真もたくさん撮ってくださり嬉しかったです⭐︎ありがとうございました⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎


-2日目白谷雲水峡-

初めての登山で2日連続大丈夫かなと思いましたが、案外回復しました。
2日目は谷山さんにガイド頂きました。
昨日の津曲さんに続いて道中、丁寧に説明してくださり、ペースも縄文杉の翌日ということで気を遣ってくださり、楽しいおしゃべりもしてくださってあっという間に登れました！天気が曇っていたので、太鼓岩から景色が見えないかと思いましたが壮大な景色を見れて感動しました。帰りの苔むす森では霧がかかっておりとても幻想的でした。
谷山さんも写真をたくさん撮ってくださり、撮り方を教えてくださったり勉強になりました！
ありがとうございました⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎

初めての登山で、初めてガイドさんを付けさせて頂きましたが、参加者の体調を気にし、全力でたくさん写真を撮ってくださるなど、参加者が喜ぶためにたくさんの気遣いをされるガイドさんは本当にある意味スーパー営業マンだなと尊敬致しました。

他の方の口コミを見ているとガイドさんによって差があるようでしたので、津曲さん谷山さんにガイド頂け、天気にも恵まれて、本当に最高の思い出になりました！ありがとうございました！！

次回屋久島に行く際にも是非、お願いさせて頂きたいです。（早速、友人にも勧めさせて頂きました⭐︎）

The flight attendant guided us. I thought, "As expected of a flight attendant!" as they explained in a voice and speed that were easy to understand. Although I was at a distance, I was lucky to see the flight attendant's fire drill and the simulator that seemed to be shaking during the pilot (trainee?) training, which was enjoyable. It seemed that there were more women among the participants, possibly because it was a weekday, but I believe both men and women, whether in groups or alone, can enjoy this experience. However, there was quite a bit of walking, which was a bit tough for me since I have back pain. That said, it was a very enjoyable time.

I was able to tour ANA's training facility, and a flight attendant guided us. I had a great time taking various photos. The flight simulator was operational, and I got to see beautiful visuals in the final booth, which kept the excitement going the whole time (๑･̑◡･̑๑). I was guided through a 3-hour course that took double the time. I think it's a place that anyone wanting to change themselves or reflect on their life should definitely visit at least once. However, I believe that some people may find it physically challenging, so it shouldn't be approached as a casual stroll. I was fortunate to have wonderful guides, which made for a great trip!

Shiratani Unsuikyo
From the beginning, you are soothed by the beautiful flow of the river. As you progress, you will see a moss-covered forest that unfolds a green world unlike anything you have ever seen. Climbing up to Taiko Rock, the view of half of Yakushima is truly breathtaking. Forget your shyness and try shouting "Yahhoo (^O^)!"
You can also feel the world of Studio Ghibli, including Moro's den from Princess Mononoke, making it a lot of fun.

If you are confident in your physical fitness, there are guides available, and even if you are not used to mountain walking, you can manage a two-day course. Some people took a rest day in between to go paddling. I recommend going in October, avoiding the busy season, so you can relax at Taiko Rock!

Each group consists of 12 people, and it seems to be a small group system for COVID-19 measures. There are areas where photography is allowed and areas where it is not; cameras and smartphones must be stored in lockers before entering the no-photography zones. You will walk back and forth 250 meters from one end of the ANA Blue Base to the other, so it's better to wear comfortable shoes like sneakers.

Depending on the tour, current flight attendants serve as guides, providing detailed explanations and answering questions.

There are also exclusive merchandise available only here (such as original printed work gloves, flight tags, and eco bags), so if you're an ANA fan, it's a must-visit. (Cash cannot be used.)

The tour costs 1,000 yen, but you also receive an original touch pen (a COVID-19 preventive item that allows you to operate touch panels on store tablets and ticket machines without using your fingers), so I don't think it's expensive.

Honestly, it's a waste of time. You can't actually interact with the real items at all. If they are going to introduce ANA's training, I would prefer to go to where the training is happening and talk directly. The same goes for engine maintenance; it's not interesting even from a high vantage point.

Additionally, the person in charge of the presentation has a monotone voice and tempo, making it difficult to understand certain parts. It's also unclear where they want to emphasize. Overall, this tour seems to be just a way for ANA to show that they are doing these things.

I participated in the Blue Base Tour, which has been said to be quite a selective experience. 以前よりなかなかの狭き門と言われていたBlue Base Tourに参加しました。様々な箇所にタッチパネルのモニターがありANAの歴史や歴代飛行機、客室乗務員の制服履歴や業務内容など興味があるものを選択しながら見ることが出来ます。一回の催行人数も12名なので、ガイドの方の説明が聞き取れないということもなく一つ一つのエリア移動もとてもスムーズでした。実際に研修中の様子を見ることが出来るのですが真剣に受ける姿を拝見するとこちらも若干緊張します(笑) 避難訓練を行うエリアや飛行機のシミュレータ、実際のエンジンをメンテナンスしているところなどを上の階から見ていけます。一緒に参加していた子供達も終始楽しそうでした。映像ではありましたが悪天候時の着陸体験やエアバスの操縦席に座ったり、ビジネスクラスのシートを体験したり出来ました。映像用のプロジェクターも多数設置されていたので大画面で空を飛んでいる体験も出来ました。警備の方もツアーの参加者ですか？とお声を掛けてくださったりスタッフの方々もとても丁寧に一人ずつお声を掛けている姿がとても印象的でした。また機会があれば参加したいと思います。

The weather was perfect, and it was the best tour.

I was worried about my stamina since the meeting time was 4:30 AM, but thanks to the guide, I had a great time.

The guide provided easy-to-understand explanations about Yakushima's history, types of cedar trees, and filming locations of movies. I especially appreciated the several rest points that were set up; it was great to leave the pacing to a professional.

However, there are only a few restrooms, so when I was told, "This place gets crowded, so let's hold on until the next restroom," I felt a bit anxious. I think it would be better to consider the participants' needs regarding restroom breaks.

On the tramway, the guide kept us entertained with Yakushima trivia and Princess Mononoke quizzes, which made the experience enjoyable rather than just walking in silence. I was saved by the guide's thoughtful approach many times.

When I visit Yakushima again, I would love to join this tour once more.

天気にも恵まれ、最高のツアーでした。

集合が4：30と早かったので体力持つかなと心配でしたが、ガイドのおかげでとっても楽しめました。

ガイドより、屋久島の歴史や杉の種類、映画のロケ地の話など分かりやすい説明があり、何より休憩ポイントを何か所か設けて頂いたのは、ありがたかったです。
プロにペース配分を任せられたのは大きいです。

ただ、トイレが数か所しかないので行きたいと思ったときに「ここは混むので、次のトイレ場所までもう少し頑張りましょう」と言われたときは、不安でしたので、トイレ休憩の際はツアー参加者の声を汲み取ったほうが良いかと思いました。

トロッコ道も、屋久島クイズやもののけ姫クイズを出してくださったり、黙々と歩くより、皆で楽しみながら！というガイドの心遣いに何度も救われました。

屋久島を訪れた際は、またこのツアーに参加したいと思います。

参加者の写真撮影等がひととおり終わると最初の受付ロビーに戻り解散となります。ここまでおおよそ９０分のツアーとなります。
少人数で回るのでそれぞれの施設をしっかりと見ることもできますし、案内スタッフの方といろいろなお話をすることもできます。スタッフの方も積極的に話しかけてきてくださって、気楽にお話しできます。
参加費1,000円でこの内容なら大満足です。

施設は京急線の穴守稲荷駅から環八通りを渡りクロネコヤマトの大きな物流センターの横を通ったすぐ奥にあります。駅からは徒歩１０分弱です。施設が分かれば、受付はその正面部分なのでわかりやすいです。

The boarding announcements felt just like at an airport, with digital visuals and detailed explanations about various jobs related to airplanes. The hospitality of the guide, who was a flight attendant, was overflowing, and my son was eagerly taking notes with his eyes shining.
