Unfortunately, we couldn't go to Balas Island due to the weather, but I was very satisfied with the mangrove canoe experience, which felt much longer than just an hour and a half! It was a truly extraordinary experience, and I'm really glad I participated in this tour!

Thank you so much to our tour guide, Hikaru, for delivering my forgotten items to the port at the end! I don't think there are any other tour companies or guides as attentive as this one. I highly recommend them!

I plan to book with this tour company again next time.

残念ながらバラス島へは天候の影響で行くことが出来ず、マングローブカヌーのみの参加になりましたが、１時間半とは思えないくらいの内容で大満足でした！非日常の体験をすることができ、このツアーに参加して本当によかったです！

Originally, we had planned for a canyoning tour, but due to heavy rain in the morning, we consulted with our guide and changed to a mangrove tour. Moreover, we were particularly lucky today as it was just the two of us, my wife and me. The guide asked us to choose between SUP and canoeing, and we chose SUP. Looking back, it was the right choice because it was perfect for taking photos and very easy to paddle. My wife loves taking beautiful pictures, so the guide took many lovely photos of us with his phone and GoPro.

We wanted to explore the mangroves, so the guide responded to our request and let us play around in the mangroves for a while. We saw many creatures and took lots of photos. On the way back, my wife got a bit tired, so the guide pulled her SUP back with a rope.

We had a wonderful time today, witnessing the grandeur of the mangroves, taking beautiful photos, and seeing creatures like crabs and mudskippers.

本来定めていたのはキャニオンニングのツアーでしたが、朝に大雨が降ったため、ガイドさんと相談してマングローブツアーに変更しました。
しかも、今日は特にラッキーなことに、私と妻の二人だけでした。
ガイドさんがSUPとカヌーのどちらかを選んでと言ってくれたので、私たちはSUPを選びました。今思うと、SUPを選んで正解でした。写真を撮るのにぴったりですし、漕ぐのもとても簡単でした。
妻は美しい写真を撮るのが好きなので、ガイドさんが携帯とGoProでたくさんの綺麗な写真を撮ってくれました。
私たちはマングローブの中を探検したかったので、ガイドさんは私たちのリクエストに応えて、マングローブの中でしばらく遊びました。多くの生物を見て、たくさんの写真も撮りました。
最後に戻る時、妻が少し疲れたので、ガイドさんがロープで妻のSUPを引っ張って帰りました。

This time, I chose pipi because I had a great experience with them before. They are kind and attentive, and I recommend them since the photos are free. During the car ride, they talked about the plants and animals of Iriomote Island and recommended restaurants and supermarkets. The guide made sure to engage with each person, which made me feel comfortable participating in the activities. I want to join pipi's activities again next time. Many of the guides are young and have moved here, so if you're considering relocating, feel free to ask them questions!

今回、予約したのは以前参加して、とても良かったpipiさんにしました。親切丁寧、写真無料なのでオススメです。車の移動中も西表島の植物や動物の話をしてくれたり、おすすめのご飯屋さん、スーパーを教えてくれました。

I was overwhelmed by the changing expressions of Ishigaki Island depending on the weather. Last year, there was less water, and it felt like we could play happily, but this time, after heavy rain, there was a lot of water, making it a thrilling tour. However, thanks to the guides' arrangements, there were very few dangerous situations. I think the experience of being able to jump into a waterfall pool is something you can't often experience in life, and kayaking while seeing mangroves up close was also a valuable experience. I will definitely participate again if I have the chance!

去年も参加してたんですが楽しすぎて今年もどうしても行きたくて友達も誘い参加しました。
天気によって変わる石垣島の表情に圧倒されました。
去年は水が少なく楽しく遊べると行った感じでしたが今回は大雨の後で水が多くスリリングなツアーでしたがガイドさんたちの計らいで危ないことはとっても少ないです。
滝壺に、飛び込めるなんて体験はなかなか人生では経験できないことだと思いますし、マングローブを身近に見ながらカヌーなども貴重な体験でした。
また機会があったら参加します！！

In the canoe, my viewpoint was close to the water's surface, so when I looked up, the sky felt very high and wide, and we were able to get very close to the mangroves. I participated in the Mangrove Canoe & Baras Snorkeling Tour! In the morning, we went canoeing in great weather, and it was the best experience—I was very satisfied! In the afternoon, during the snorkeling tour, it was raining, but the underwater scenery was beautiful, and I was able to encounter several sea turtles!! It was absolutely amazing! Our tour guide, Yume, provided us with various information about the islands, as well as explanations about the mangroves and the fish, which made for a very fulfilling day overall!! On the day of the tour, when I met the guide at the port, they greeted me with great energy, which left a good impression. The tour itself was fantastic; the snorkeling was in a very clear sea, and I was able to swim comfortably. The guide matched our pace, which made it very enjoyable. I originally planned to book only the morning canyoning, but with the guide's advice, I quickly added the afternoon trip to Yufu Island.

In the end, it was a great decision. I was able to enjoy a completely different atmosphere compared to other remote islands.

As for the canyoning, I had a fantastic time with a bright and friendly guide. Jumping into the river was certainly fun, but the information about the plants and animals along the way was also very enriching, making it a highly satisfying tour. Thank you for the thorough explanations and the cool demonstrations.

Next time I come to Yaeyama, I definitely want to request activities here again.

元々午前のキャニオニングだけのつもりで予約しておりましたが、ガイドさんの助言もあって急遽午後の由布島も追加しました。
結果的には大正解。他の離島とは全く違う雰囲気を楽しむことができました。

肝心のキャニオニングも明るく気さくなガイドさんに連れて行っていただくことができ、大変楽しむことができました。
川への飛び込みももちろん楽しかったのですが、道中の動植物の案内もまた充実しており、満足度の高いツアーでした。

I participated in the canyoning and mangrove canoeing tour in Iriomote Island. Initially, I had signed up for snorkeling, but due to unfavorable weather, I switched to canyoning. However, I received careful communication from the day before, which allowed me to discuss with my companions and confidently join the tour. At this point, I felt a sense of trust and reassurance towards the shop.

As for canyoning, the tour involved heading towards the waterfalls of Iriomote Island while navigating through the woods and down the river. There were moments where we jumped at the guide's encouragement, making it an exciting experience throughout. My companions were initially anxious as they had never participated in canyoning before, but by the end, they were completely satisfied, saying, "I want to do this again." Most importantly, the guide clearly communicated any dangerous spots and precautions in advance, allowing us to participate in the tour with peace of mind.

Regarding the mangrove canoeing, after navigating through the mangroves by canoe, we walked and received various explanations. 西表島のキャニオニング&マングローブカヌーのツアーに参加しました。
始めはシュノーケリングに申し込んでいましたが天候に恵まれずキャニオニングに変更に…ただ前日から丁寧に連絡をいただけたこともあり同行者としっかり相談してツアーに参加することができました。
この時点でお店に対する信頼感、安心感がありました。

キャニオニングですが、西表島の滝を目指して林間を抜けて川をくだるという内容でした。
途中途中でガイドさんからの掛け声でジャンプしたりと終始盛り上がる内容でした。
同行者も初めはキャニオニングに参加したことがなく不安がっていましたが、最後には「またやりたいね」と大満足の内容でした。
何より危険な場所や注意点を事前にはっきりと伝えていただけたので、安心してツアーに参加することができました。

マングローブカヌーですが、マングローブの中をカヌーで抜けた後、歩いて様々な説明をしていただきました。
マングローブ周りの植物や生物について詳細に教えていただき、生態について学ぶことができました。
植物の育ち方や、種子の植え方、生物の特徴などよくこんなに知っているなと思うほどガイドさんが教えてくれます。
途中でスコールにも見舞われましたが、大人になってからこんなに気持ちいいと思った雨は後にも先にもあれが初めてです。

終始ガイドさんは参加者への気配りを欠かさずに行ってくれており楽しく参加できました。
教えてくれたお昼ご飯のお店も美味しくて最高でした。

Canyoning was a precious experience that you absolutely can't have in the city, and it was so much fun! We dove into the river, climbed, and slid, and the kids had a blast too! The guide was very cheerful and friendly, and seeing him jump into the river made the kids want to jump in as well! Also, during the journey to our destination, he taught us a lot about Iriomote Island, which was really enjoyable! I'm also grateful for the quick delivery of photos and videos!

We enjoyed a round trip to Yufu Island with a leisurely tour around the island, and we were healed by the beautiful shallow sea and butterflies in nature! The guide also shared many interesting things about Iriomote Island during this trip, which made it fun!

The last time I visited, I went river rafting on a leisure boat, so this time I wanted to do something with more activities, which is why I chose this tour.

There was a discrepancy between the meeting time listed on the voucher at the time of booking and the time I was told over the phone the day before. This required me to cancel and rebook the boat I had reserved the night before, which was a frustrating start. I was told that the schedule was based on the boats from Yaeyama Tourism, but that information wasn’t written anywhere, and I had no idea.

As for the activities, we did canoeing on both Ishigaki Island and Iriomote Island, and the water clarity was definitely better on Iriomote Island. Despite it being a bit hot, I enjoyed it comfortably.

The snorkeling at Barasu Island was canceled due to rough seas, and in the afternoon, we were switched to a tour of Yubu Island. Since Yubu Island has such beautiful nature, I wish they would minimize the number of signs and plates to show the scenery as it is.

I exchanged LINE information with the tour staff because they said they would send photos, but in the end, I never received any photos. I wonder what that was all about. I would like to visit Iriomote Island again if I have the chance, but the tour left me feeling a bit unsettled.

以前訪れた際はレジャーボートで川下りをしたので、今回はもっとアクティビティ度が高いことがしたく、このツアーを選びました。
予約時のバウチャーに載っていた集合時間と前日電話で言われた時間が異なっていて、事前に予約していた船を前日夜にキャンセルと再予約が必要になり、いきなり出鼻を挫かれるスタートでした。八重山観光の船を基準にスケジュール組んでるからと言われましたが、そんなことどこにも書いてないし知らんし。。

肝心のアクティビティは、今回石垣島と西表島の両方でカヌーをしましたが、水のキレイ度が断然西表島の方が良く、少し暑いくらいのなか、気持ちよく楽しめました。

バラス島のシュノーケリングは海が荒れているため中止と前日に連絡があり、午後からは由布島観光に振替えました。由布島はせっかくの自然なのだから、案内のプレートや看板は極力減らしてそのままの景色を見せて欲しいなと思ってしまいました。

ツアーのスタッフの方が写真を送るからとLINE交換したのですが、結局写真は届くことはなく、あれはなんだったんだ。。
西表島は機会があれはまた行きたいですが、ツアーはちょいちょいもやもやする内容でした。

At first, I was so focused on my footing that I didn't have much time to enjoy the scenery, but once I got used to it, the zip slide in nature was incredibly enjoyable! During my stay on Iriomote Island, I used Adventure Pipi's services twice. On the first day, I had booked canoeing and snorkeling, but due to poor sea conditions, the snorkeling was canceled. They kindly rearranged the schedule, allowing me to do snorkeling on the second day instead of canyoning. Originally, we had planned to do mangrove stand-up paddleboarding and snorkeling at Balas Island, but due to strong winds, both activities were deemed dangerous. So, we switched to canyoning in the morning and mangrove canoeing in the afternoon.

I was really disappointed at first because I was looking forward to snorkeling and paddleboarding, but once we started the activities, both canoeing and canyoning turned out to be a lot of fun.

Canoeing on a wide river in a two-person canoe felt really nice. However, I think it's better to wear swimwear for canoeing. I attempted it in jeans, and my backside got wet enough that my pants were soaked!

Also, since there was quite a bit of canoeing involved, I, being a bit out of shape, am feeling a bit sore!

もともとはマングローブSUPとバラス島シュノーケリングの予定でしたが、風が強くシュノーケリングもSUPも危険ということで、午前中はキャニオニング、午後はマングローブカヌーに変更になりました。
体験前はシュノーケリングとSUPを楽しみにしていたので、とってもガッカリしていましたが、いざ体験してみるとカヌーもキャニオニングもとっても楽しかったです。
2人乗りのカヌーで幅の広い川を漕いでいくのでとても気持ち良かったです。
ただカヌーに関しては下は水着着用が良いかと思います。
私はジーパンで挑んでしまったのですが、パンツまで濡れるほどお尻が濡れましたw
あと、けっこうカヌー移動も多いのでちょっと運動不足の私はちょっと筋肉痛気味ですw

I had my doubts about a winter trip to Okinawa, but Okinawa was just as I expected! It was much warmer than Tokyo, and when the sun came out, it was even hot enough to wear short sleeves! I was fortunate with the weather during my trip.

Iriomote Island was my first visit, and it made me feel like this is the real Okinawa, with its stunning natural beauty. It felt almost like being abroad. I had a fantastic time in the overwhelming nature! I highly recommend it.

I visited Ishigaki and Iriomote for Christmas. Since it was my first time in Iriomote, I wanted to join a tour, so I booked one here. I tried canyoning, and before participating, I was a bit worried because it was winter and I thought it might be cold in Iriomote. However, they provided me with a wetsuit, and I was able to take a shower at the end, so I enjoyed it without any issues. The guide was very kind and constantly checked on me, asking, "Are you cold? During my year-end trip to Ishigaki Island, I became interested in Iriomote Island and decided to participate. Ishigaki Island had a stronger image of the sea than the mountains, but Iriomote Island was overflowing with greenery, offering a different kind of enjoyment! It felt thrilling to jump into the river and enjoy the outdoors.

While thinking I was tired, I boarded a water buffalo cart, where I could listen to the shamisen and relax comfortably in the gentle breeze. Yubu Island was closer than I expected, and the resort-like scenery was a lot of fun!

年末の旅行として石垣島に訪れた際、西表島にも興味が湧き参加しました。石垣島は山よりも海のイメージが強かったのですが、西表島は緑が溢れていて石垣島とは違う楽しみ方ができました！
川に飛び込んだりスリル満点で、アウトドアを楽しんだ！って感じがします。
疲れたなあと思いながら水牛車に乗り込むと三味線を聞いたりゆったり風に吹かれて気持ちよく休憩できました。由布島も思ったより近くて、リゾート感満載の景色で楽しかったです！

帰り道に少し寄り道をしてくれたおかげで、なかなか見れない動物と出会うことができました。

I participated in a mangrove canoe tour!

I was worried about the cold since it was said to be the coldest day of the year, but once I joined, the water was cold but not freezing.

I was also concerned about whether I could paddle the canoe, but once I got on, it was smooth sailing!

Throughout the journey and during the tour, we talked a lot about the island, nature, and food, so even though I was there alone, I had a great time.

Since I came to Iriomote Island knowing almost nothing about it, I learned a lot and my appreciation for the scenery changed.

I think if I come back in the summer and join the same tour, I might see a different view, so I want to come again!

Unfortunately, we couldn't go to Barasu Island due to bad weather, but instead, we participated in mangrove canoeing and canyoning! Since it was late October, it was cold, but they lent us wetsuits, so we were able to enjoy it without getting cold! The instructors, Bandii, Shoutarou, and Tarou, taught us a lot about Iriomote Island, which made it even more enjoyable. I definitely want to participate again when I visit Ishigaki Island. I will come back for a Barasu Island revenge!!

バラス島は悪天候の為残念ながら行くことが出来ませんでしたが、マングローブのカヌーと代わりにキャニオニングに参加しました！！
10月の後半だったので寒かったのですが、ウエットスーツを貸して頂いたので体を冷やすことなく出来ました！
またインストラクターのバンディさん、ショウタロウさん、タロウさんが西表島について沢山教えて下さったのでより楽しむことができました。
石垣島を訪れる際も是非参加したいです。またバラス島リベンジしに来ます！！

The forest was cool and enjoyable. The next day, I was sore all over, but I'm glad I participated. I understand the age restrictions now. You should join while you still can.

ゴール地点まではひたすら登って行くので大変でしたが、帰りはハラハラドキドキしながらのジップラインやウォータースライダー、滝つぼジャンプなど楽しみが盛りだくさんでした。森の中は涼しく楽しめました。
次の日は全身筋肉痛ですが参加できて良かったです。年齢制限があるのも納得出来ました。やれるうちに参加すべきです。
