It seemed to be a well-known tour for foreign visitors, and out of the nine participants that day, seven were likely from China, including the driver (who also made announcements about the meeting times).

Perhaps because it was a small group, we used a minivan with a capacity of ten people instead of a large bus. It wasn't particularly bumpy, and we were able to spend the time comfortably, although I felt a bit cramped since I had my luggage in my seat. If I had asked, I might have been able to place it in the empty space at the back.

The announcements inside the vehicle and at the location were primarily in Chinese, and we were only given the minimum information (meeting time). However, if we had any questions, the driver was able to answer them properly, so there were no issues, and we could participate with peace of mind.

We arrived at Kamikochi before 11 AM and were satisfied to enjoy a full four hours of exploration until just before 3 PM.

外国の方向けに広く知られているツアーのようで、この日の参加9名のうち私達以外の7名の方はおそらく中国の方で、運転手（この方が集合時間等のアナウンスもされていました）も中国の方でした。

車内や現地でのアナウンスは基本的にほぼ中国語で、私たちには最低限の情報（集合時間）が知らされるのみ。ですが、気になることがあれば運転手さんに確認すればきちんと答えてくれるので問題なく、安心して参加することができました。

11時前に上高地に到着し、15時前までたっぷり4時間散策を楽しむことができて満足でした。

I was deeply moved by the mountains, which were the same scale as I had seen in photos or even larger. The scenery at Taisho Pond reflected beautifully on the water, resembling a reverse Mount Fuji! The view from the summit, lightly dusted with snow, was also breathtaking. We were fortunate with the weather, and I was able to take amazing photos and have a wonderful experience. The driver kindly agreed to drop us off at Matsumoto Castle, making it truly an enjoyable day.

Due to my usual lack of exercise and the rain, there were moments when I felt discouraged, but thanks to everyone on the tour, I was able to enjoy the descent.

At Shiretoko Five Lakes, birdwatching was also a delightful experience. We were blessed with clear weather, and the views of Rausu-dake, Iouzan, and the surrounding scenery were magnificent. During the afternoon nature exploration, we missed seeing a chipmunk, but we did encounter a male and female deer chasing each other, as well as a red fox and an Ezo squirrel. Although we could only see the silhouette, we were also able to spot a black woodpecker.

Additionally, we were flexibly arranged for activities not included in the tour, such as observing the salmon catch and learning about salmon upstream migration.

This wonderful experience was made possible by our guide. They had extensive knowledge and eagerly answered our questions. Exploring with the guide was much more enjoyable than venturing out on our own. I feel it was a highly cost-effective investment. If you visit Shiretoko, I highly recommend utilizing the guide's services. October is considered the off-peak season, so it's also recommended for those who want to take their time sightseeing.

更にツアー内容にはなかった鮭の水揚げ見学や鮭の遡上の案内などフレキシブルにアレンジしていただきました。

この素晴らしい体験にはガイドさんの案内が欠かせませんでした。豊富な知識を持ち、質問に対しても熱心に回答をしてくれました。自分たちで探検するよりも、ガイドさんと共に探索する方が何倍も楽しめました。コストパフォーマンスの高い投資だと感じています。知床を訪れる際には、ぜひガイドさんの案内を利用してみてください。

We participated as a family of four (with elementary school children). In October, it was a bit hot wearing long sleeves and long pants, but it was perfect for sun protection, insect repellent, and injury prevention. Additionally, the half-day course was just right for my children and me, who are not very active. Above all, the Pinai Sara Falls were breathtaking. There were times when the canoe didn't go in the direction I wanted, but the instructions were thorough, so I think beginners will feel at ease. The trekking was also adjusted to the children's pace, and we learned the names of plants and animals, which deepened our understanding of nature. If there's another opportunity, I would definitely like to participate again.

10月で長袖長ズボンだと少し暑かったものの、日焼け＆虫除け、怪我防止対策には最適でした。
また、半日コースは子供たちと運動不足の私にも丁度良かったです。
何よりもピナイサーラの滝は、絶景でした。
カヌーではなかなか思う方向に進まないときもありましたが、丁寧にレクチャーして頂きましたので、初心者でも安心だと思います。
トレッキングも子供のペースに合わせてくれましたし、植物、生き物の名前も教えて頂いて、自然への理解が深まりました。
また機会があれば、是非参加したいと思います。

On the first day, we went from the trailhead to Jomon Sugi, and on the second day, we visited Shiratani Unsuikyo and Taiko Rock. The hikes were quite hard, taking 11 hours and 6 hours respectively, but the breathtaking views at the top made me forget my fatigue. I had always wanted to visit this place at least once in my life, but now I want to come back many times.

The guide was very knowledgeable and taught us many things, which was a great learning experience! Thank you very much.

初日は登山口〜縄文杉、2日目は白谷雲水峡〜太鼓岩まで行きました。
登山は各11時間、6時間と中々ハードでしたが、登った先には疲れを忘れるくらいの感動がありました。

I participated with three friends from different generations. I joined with a sense of anxiety about whether I could manage the mountain climbing over two days. Of course, I had climbed Mount Takao many times before going, so I thought I was well-prepared.

On the first day, we tackled Jomon Sugi. I had prepared myself, but to be honest, it was tough. (No doubt about it!) It took over 10 hours. Especially on the descent, my right leg wouldn't bend. Going down the stairs was extremely difficult, and I had to carefully place both feet on each step. Naturally, it took a long time. However, thanks to the warm support from our guide and the members of my group, I managed to get down safely.

On the second day, we went to Shiratani Unsuikyo. I wondered if anyone could make it, and I felt the same way. I thoroughly massaged, applied ointment, and stretched. Perhaps my desire to go won out? Somehow, my legs recovered (at least the upper part) by the next day, but returning from Shiratani Unsuikyo was still tough. My right leg wouldn't bend again, so I had to descend step by step.

Even with my condition, I somehow completed the two-day course. I was fortunate to have a great guide, wonderful group members, and friends who planned this trip and joined me. I want to express my gratitude to everyone. Thank you!

2日間、山登りが出来るか不安な気持ちで参加しました。勿論行く前にも「高尾山」に何度も登頂し訓練は重ねてきたつもりです。
一日目の縄文杉。覚悟はしてきたつもりですが、ハッキリ言って辛かったです。（キッパリ！）10時間以上。特に私は下山で右足が曲がらなくなりました。なので階段が非常に辛く1段1段両足を踏み締めながらの下山。無論時間がかかりました。しかし、ガイドさんや同じグループの方が温かく見守ってくれたお陰でなんとか無事下山する事が出来ました。こんな状態で2日目　白谷雲水峡。誰もが行けるのか？私自身も思いました。入念にマッサージ・湿布・ストレッチ。行きたい気持ちが勝ったのでしょうか？なんとか翌日脚は回復（たぶん上部だけ）まさしく、白谷雲水峡でも帰りは大変。右足曲がらない状態。やはり1段1段の下山です。
こんな私でも2日間コース、なんとか完歩できました。ガイドさんに恵まれ、同じグループの方に恵まれ、あとこのツアーの旅行を計画し一緒に参加した友達にも恵まれました。皆様にお礼を言いたいと思います。ありがとうねー。
頑張った2日間。大変貴重な体験ができました。
でも、この先は無理しない登山を心がけしたいと思います。（笑）

It was a very fulfilling tour and became a wonderful memory. I participated alone, but while trekking with the guide, I learned about the guiding system of Iriomote Island and their efforts towards nature, which deepened my understanding of the island's environment. Of course, I also received explanations about the plants we encountered along the way, which was educational.

It was my first experience with canoeing, but I received a lecture beforehand, which made me feel secure in taking part. Canoeing in the great outdoors was amazing! I had heard that solo canoes are more likely to tip than tandem ones, so I was a bit nervous at first, but by the return trip, I felt much more relaxed and was able to enjoy the scenery while moving through nature.

The waterfall was more impressive than I had imagined and was absolutely fantastic! I felt so energized that it seemed to wash away all the fatigue from my work. Watching the waterfall while eating the delicious rice balls from the lunch provided was the best feeling! I heard that the guide and the owner prepared the lunch in the morning.

After the tour, I received image data that the guide took during the tour, and they were all wonderful, bringing me happiness just by looking at them. The guide was indeed skilled at taking photos!

I was extremely satisfied with this very fulfilling half-day plan!

また、カヌー初体験でしたが、事前にレクチャーしていただき、安心して取組めました。
大自然の中のカヌーは最高でした(^^)1人乗りは2人乗りより落ちやすい事を聞いていたので、初めはドキドキでしたが、帰りの道ではだいぶ余裕が出来て周りをのんびり見ながら大自然を堪能して楽しみながら移動できました。

滝は、想像以上に迫力があり、最高でした！！パワーを沢山貰い、今までの仕事の疲れなどが消えた位本当に素晴らしかったです。そして、そこで配布された美味しいおむすびのあるお弁当を食べながら滝を眺めるのは最高の気分でした！
お弁当はガイドさんとオーナーさんが朝作ってくれたそうです(^^)

ツアー後にガイドさんがツアー中に撮ってくれた画像データもいただき、どれも素敵で見てるだけで幸せな気持ちになります。さすがガイドさんは写真の撮り方も上手でした！

半日で大変充実したプランで大満足でした！！

During the climb, I enjoyed learning about Yakushima cedar trees, plants, and received many explanations, which made the experience very enjoyable. Initially, I planned to walk to Jomon Sugi alone, but considering the convenience of transportation, I decided to join a tour. I was guided by a person named Mitsuhashi, who was very attentive when it came to taking photos, making sure to consider angles and positions, resulting in great pictures. Even when I felt something was off while taking my own photos, he would quickly step in and take them for me. I was also surprised by his wide-ranging knowledge about Jomon Sugi, Japanese history, and even boxing. When he asked if I had a favorite boxer and I mentioned De La Hoya, there was Mitsuhashi posing with De La Hoya in a photo, which was just as impactful as Jomon Sugi itself. I had the feeling that if I said I liked Messi, a photo with Messi would magically appear.

Regarding the trekking, I wanted to have coffee but had given up on the idea since it would be cumbersome to carry. However, during a break, Mitsuhashi surprised us with coffee, which was very delicious.

Jomon Sugi was incredibly large and impressive, but the journey to get there was what truly made this trip valuable.

　当初1人で縄文杉まで歩こうと思っていましたが、交通の利便性を考えツアーに申し込みました。
ガイドのミツハシさんという方に案内してもらいましたが、写真を撮ってもらう時も角度や位置まで気を使ってくださりいい写真ばかり残っています。
自分で写真を撮っている時もなんか違うと感じたらすかさず代わりに撮ってくれる方でした。また、縄文杉、日本史、ボクシングまで幅広い知識でびっくりしました。好きなボクサーがいるか聞かれて、デラホーヤと言ったらデラホーヤと写真に収まるミツハシの姿があり、何者なんだろうと縄文杉と同じくらいインパクトがありました。もしメッシが好きだと言えばメッシとの写真が出てきそうな雰囲気でした。
　トレッキングについては、コーヒーを飲みたかったのですが、荷物になるので断念していたところ休憩中にミツハシさんからコーヒーが出てきました。
とても美味しかったです。
　縄文杉はとても大きく感動しましたが、縄文杉まで歩く過程に価値がある旅となりました。

We participated as a couple. The guide was very nice and taught us various things, making the tour enjoyable! We learned about the nature and history of Shiretoko. I think there were things I wouldn't have understood while exploring the Shiretoko Five Lakes alone, so it was definitely the right choice to rely on the guide!

The primeval forest tour was also a lot of fun! We were able to see the tip of the Shiretoko Peninsula, and the scenery was amazing. During the tour, we learned a lot about the Shiretoko forest and the wild birds, which was very enjoyable! This time it was autumn, but I would like to know about Shiretoko in different seasons as well. If I have the opportunity, I would like to request the same guide again. I highly recommend the full-day tour!

We were scheduled to depart in front of the elevator at the Alps entrance of Matsumoto Station at 8:30 AM, so we arrived 15 minutes early. Even five minutes before departure, there was no sign of the vehicle. I realized that we were on the same tour as a group of women and asked, "The car hasn't arrived yet, has it?" Eventually, about 7 to 8 minutes late, a microbus came from across the rotary, and one of the group members confirmed it. Usually, I expect the driver to arrive early and wait for the customers, right? Moreover, I received a final confirmation call the day before, stating that the meeting point was under the elevator. Although the departure was delayed, they adjusted the return departure time, which was good. The driver was a pleasant person, and Kamikochi was amazing. I hope they communicate the departure time and location more strictly.

8時30分に松本駅アルプス口　エレベーター前　出発ということで、余裕を持って15分前に到着。
5分前になっても、それらしき車が来ない。

結局、7〜8分過ぎてマイクロバスがロータリーの向こうに来て、グループの1人が確認しました。
ふつう、お客より早めに来て待っているのでは？
しかも、前日に最終確認の電話もあったのですが、
集合場所はエレベーター下という事だった。
出発が遅れた分、帰りの出発時間もずらしていただけたのでよかったけれど。
ドライバーさんは感じのいい方でしたし、
上高地も最高でした。
出発時間と場所は時間厳守、きちんと伝えてほしいです。

I participated with a friend in mid-October. There were a total of seven of us, and I think the age and fitness levels were well-matched, which made for a good group.

I was worried because it rained the day before, but it turned out to be a beautiful day for hiking. The cool breeze felt great on my sweaty body during the climb. We chose a great time to go; if it had been hot, I might have had to give up.

I thought the ground would be muddy from the rain, but it hardly affected us at all. Since the island is made of granite, the rainwater flows away quickly.

The guide's pacing was perfect, and I was able to walk without getting bored while listening to stories about Yakushima's history and plants. The photos taken were also great and made for nice memories.

I rented hiking clothes and gear, but I strongly recommend renting trekking poles! Some say they can be a nuisance if you're not used to them, but they were incredibly useful on the mountain trails, both going up and down. Having poles on steep slopes definitely gives you peace of mind.

There were tough spots during the steep climbs, but once I got past them, all I remember is the fun. It was a great experience.

前日が雨のため心配していましたが、晴れて絶好の登山日和でした。涼しい風が登山で汗ばんだ体に心地よかったです。いい時期を選びました。暑い時期ならリタイヤしていたかもしれません。
雨で地面がぬかるんでいるかと思いきや、ほとんど影響がありませんでした。花崗岩で出来ている島なので、雨水はすぐ流れてしまうんだそうです。
ガイドさんのペース配分がバッチリで、屋久島の歴史や植物のお話を聞きながら飽きずに歩けました。お写真も上手で記念になりました。
登山ウェア・グッズをレンタルしましたが、ストックのレンタルを強くおすすめします！使い慣れてないと邪魔という話もありますが、山道では登りでも下りでも重宝しました。急な斜面ではストックがあった方が絶対に安心です。
急な登りで辛い箇所もありましたが、喉元過ぎれば楽しさしか覚えていません。良い経験になりました。

It's very tiring to hike on the mountain path for over 10 hours starting at 6 AM, but it's definitely worth it. The Jomon Sugi is overwhelming in size even from a distance. If you're concerned about your physical fitness, it might be better to avoid it, but the guides will do their best to support you. Even if you can't reach the Jomon Sugi, there are still highlights along the way, such as Yakusugi trees that are over 1,000 years old and streams that look like they came out of a Studio Ghibli movie.

I am a man in my mid-30s, participating alone. The other members were likely around the same age, consisting of a pair of women and a group of three women, making a total of seven people including our guide. I decided to join because I wanted to become mentally stronger and have new experiences, but I usually only walk for long periods occasionally and have zero experience in mountain climbing. I also have no sports experience and weigh over 10 kg more than the standard weight, so I was quite anxious about whether I could complete the trek. However, thanks to our guide Watanabe, who managed the pace well and shared information about Yakushima and the Yakusugi trees along the way, the rhythm didn't become monotonous, and I was able to finish without falling behind.

Initially, I considered participating with another company for a private tour, but in the end, I was glad I didn't. Having other members made me feel like I didn't want to be a burden, which motivated me to push myself even more, and the encouragement from the members was more powerful than I had imagined. (Physically, I was really pushing my limits.)

In any case, being able to complete the trek was the best experience for me and has become a valuable part of my life moving forward.

当初、他社の貸切での参加も検討しましたが、結果的にそうしなくてよかったと思いました。他のメンバーがいることで、迷惑をかけてはいけないという気持ちで余計に頑張れましたし、メンバーからの励ましの言葉が想像以上に力になりました。
（体力的、肉体的にはかなりギリギリでしたが）

とにかく、完走できたことは自分にとって最高の経験であり、今後の人生の糧になりました。

A few years ago, I injured my knee and set the goal of going to see Jomon Sugi as my rehabilitation target, working hard with my physical therapist. Although I was told that I could go, it wasn't until now, due to COVID, that I finally had the chance to challenge myself.

I gathered friends to join me, and we formed a close-knit group of four. Our average age is just over 60, but thanks to the incredibly supportive guide, we all got to see Jomon Sugi together and returned safely, which was truly moving.

We also encountered monkeys and deer. I believe we deepened our understanding of Yakushima's nature through the guide's clear explanations. Additionally, we were able to walk while enjoying the guide's fun stories, which included rare photos taken previously. Thanks to the appropriate timing for breaks and hydration, we were able to enjoy ourselves without worrying about restroom needs (without using portable toilets) and returned to the bus on time, even though we are not so young anymore.

Since it rained all day, if we had taken our own photos, it would have taken too long, and we might have missed the last bus. However, the guide took great photos at nice spots, allowing us to focus on walking and climbing with peace of mind. The guide's knowledge of the best photo spots resulted in many treasured photos now in our possession.

For those considering climbing in the future, the guide suggested preparing by "walking briskly" and "doing some hiking on lower mountains." Once prepared, I hope many people can experience the magnificent nature left in Yakushima. Having a guide makes the experience much more fulfilling.

　数年前に膝を痛め、リハビリの目標を「縄文杉に会いに行く」として、理学療法の先生と頑張ってきました。もう行けると思うよ、と言われたもののコロナでやっとこの度挑戦できました。
　一緒に行ってくれる友達も集まり仲良し4人組でトライ。平均年齢60ちょい超えの私たちですが、ガイドさんのめちゃめちゃ厚いサポートのおかげで、4人揃って縄文杉に会えて、4人で無事に帰ってこられたことに感動しています。
　猿や鹿にも会えました。ガイドさんの分かりやすい説明で屋久島の自然についても理解が深まったと思います。また、以前に撮った珍しい写真なども交えて、ガイドさんの楽しい話に元気をもらいながら歩くことができました。休憩や給水の適切なタイミングの指示のおかげで、トイレの心配をすることなく（携帯トイレを使うことなく）若くもない私たちが十分楽しみながらバスの時刻に余裕を持って戻ることができました。
　また、1日中雨天だったので自分たちで写真を撮っていたら時間がかかりすぎて最終バスにさえ間に合わなかったと思いますが、ガイドさんがナイスなポイントで写真を撮ってくれたので安心して歩いたり登ったりすることに専念できました。写真がうまく撮れるポイントを熟知しているガイドさんだからこその、たくさんの写真が宝物として今私たちの手元にあります。
　これから登ろうと考えてる人は、「早足で歩く」「低い山でいいので山登りをしておく」の準備をすると良いとガイドさんから聞きました。準備をしたら、是非多くの人に屋久島に残された雄大な自然を体験してほしいと思います。ガイドさんがいると、何倍も充実したものになると思います。

The guide was very knowledgeable and explained a lot about the plants and the climbing goals, sharing many insights that can only be learned in Yakushima. I had planned a walking tour of the Shiretoko Five Lakes, but we couldn't go on the scheduled tour because a bear was spotted on the course. However, the guide suggested an alternative location for sightseeing, and thanks to their guidance through the nature of Shiretoko, I had a wonderful experience. It was certainly very fulfilling, and if I hadn't requested the tour, I would have had to give up on seeing Shiretoko altogether, so I'm really glad I made the request. It was a tour where even someone like me, who lives in the city and rarely has the chance to connect with nature and hasn't been exercising much, could enjoy kayaking and trekking! Since I stayed in Ishigaki Island instead of participating from Iriomote Island, I was looking for a tour that I could join locally. However, since I don't usually exercise much, I thought I might not have the stamina for a full-day tour, so I consulted with my family and decided to try a half-day tour.

For kayaking, we could choose between single and double kayaks, and this time I went with a double kayak with my family. Steering was challenging, but it felt stable. The staff kindly taught us how to paddle, and the guide was great, which made the experience very enjoyable. After about 30 minutes of kayaking, we headed towards the waterfall. We were provided with river shoes for trekking, so it was no problem to climb even in wet areas. I wore trekking shoes, but since my feet got wet from kayaking, I was able to borrow river shoes when preparing at the office, so there was no worry about my shoes.

When we arrived at the waterfall, we enjoyed the rice ball bento they prepared for us and jumped into the waterfall! My family said it felt amazing. If you bring a change of clothes from the start, I highly recommend jumping into the waterfall.

The staff took a lot of photos for us, so we have wonderful memories from the day. Next time, I want to try canoeing by myself.

One thing to note is that the sun in Iriomote Island at the end of September is hot, so it's best to wear clothing that covers both your upper and lower body. It gets surprisingly hot, and you might regret exposing your skin, so please prepare accordingly. Also, it's advisable to stay hydrated.

西表島からの参加ではなく、石垣島に宿泊したため、現地集合で参加できるツアーを探していました。とはいえ、日頃はあまり運動もしないため、終日ツアーだと体力が持たないかもしれないと思い、家族と相談して半日ツアーをトライすることに。カヤックは一人乗りと二人乗りを選べるのですが、今回は家族と一緒に二人乗りにしました。舵をとるのは大変ですが安定感があります。
漕ぎ方をスタッフの方が親切に教えてくれるし、ガイドもしてくれたのでとても良かったです。30分くらいカヤックして、到着したところから滝を目指します。最初に貸してくれる沢シューズでトレッキングするため、足元が濡れたところでも問題なく登れます。トレッキングシューズを履いていきましたが、カヤックで足元が濡れるため、事務所で準備するときに沢シューズを貸していただきましたので、靴の心配はありません。滝に着いたら、用意してくれたおにぎりのお弁当を頂いて、滝にドボン！すごく気持ちよいと家族が言ってました。最初から着替えを持ってきている人はぜひ滝に飛び込むとよいでしょう。
またたくさんスタッフの方が写真を撮ってくださいましたので、とてもよい思い出が残りました。今度は一人カヌーで体験したいです。
注意点とすれば、9月末の西表島の日差しは暑く、上も下も肌が隠れる格好がよいです。びっくりするぐらい暑すぎて、肌を露出していることに後悔しますので準備していってください。あと水分補給対策はしたほうがよいでしょう。
