I am grateful for the opportunity to enjoy a tour that showcases such untouched nature. I recommend it to those who have visited Okinawa several times.

However, on the day of the tour I participated in, the bus was slightly delayed from the meeting time. Although we were told to contact them in case of delays, the contact number provided in the printed itinerary was unreachable before the boarding time, which raised some concerns. I suggest that the planning company confirm this with the local company, including whether my observation was correct.

こういったありのままの自然しかないところをツアーとして楽しく見せていただいたことに感謝です。何回か沖縄に行かれたかたにはおすすめです。
なお、たまたま私が参加したツアーでは当日、バスが集合時間から若干送れましたが、遅れた場合必ず連絡するようにと言われていたにもかかわらず、私が印刷していた企画書では、その場合の連絡先の電話番号が搭乗時刻前にはそもそも音信が取れないことにになっていたなどいかがと思われることもありましたので(私のこの指摘が間違っていなかったかどうかなども含め)企画会社の方では現地会社と確認してください。

I'm glad I signed up for this tour! Thanks to the guide's supervision, I had a wonderful experience!

I finally got to visit Yakushima, a place I've wanted to go for a long time. Since it's far away and I can't come frequently, and my stay was short, I wanted to see Jomon Sugi and also go to Shiratani Unsuikyo, so I decided to participate in this tour.

I thought it would be nice to have a trekking guide, but I truly felt the greatness of a professional guide during the 11.5-hour journey. They provided guidance, took photos and videos, and facilitated communication, which made the experience even better!

I booked with rental equipment included, and the rental staff were very accommodating, allowing me to participate in the trekking with peace of mind, thank you!

Thanks to the favorable weather, my body definitely felt the long hours of walking up and down (I'm not someone who exercises regularly, so gradually, some parts of my body started to hurt), but it turned into an incredible experience that I could only have here! I believe that if you have the spirit to enjoy, it will become a wonderful memory!

トレッキングのガイドさんいた方がいいよな、ぐらいの気持ちだったのですが、
11.5時間＋の道のりガイドはもちろん、写真や動画やコミュニケーション等々、プロのガイドさんの素晴らしさを感じました！

レンタル付きで予約しましたが、レンタルの方も丁寧に対応下さり、安心してトレッキングに参加出来ました、ありがとうございます！

おかげさまで天候にも恵まれ、からだは長時間歩き登り下りしただけありますが(日頃運動をしっかりしている方では無いので、徐々に体のどこかは痛くなります)、
おかげさまで、ここでしか味わえない最高な経験になりました！楽しむ気持ちがあればとても良い思い出になると思います！

The day before, I went to Taiko Rock in Shiratani Unsuikyo, so I was still feeling sore from muscle pain when I joined the Jomon Sugi tour. Since I was the only man besides the guide and the rest were women, the pace on the trolley path was manageable despite the soreness, but it got tough once we started climbing. Still, the guide took breaks at good intervals and was particular about the photo angles, taking many pictures, which made the climb enjoyable.

When I finally reached Jomon Sugi, I felt a sense of accomplishment and was glad to have participated, especially given the overwhelming presence of Jomon Sugi. On the way back… my knees were shaking. The descent was tougher than the ascent. Since we were ahead of other groups, we ended up descending to the banks of the Arakawa River for a cool down. I was fortunate to have a great guide.

前日に白谷雲水峡の太鼓岩まで行ったため筋肉痛の残る中、縄文杉ツアーに参加しました。私とガイドさん以外、女性ということもありトロッコ道は筋肉痛が気にならないペースでしたが、登り始めたらキツい。それでもガイドさんがいい間隔で休憩を取ってくれるし、写真のアングルにもこだわってくれてたくさん撮っていただき、楽しく登って行けました。
やはり、縄文杉にたどり着いたときは達成感と縄文杉の圧倒的な存在感に参加して良かったと感じました。
帰りは…膝がガクガク。下りは登りよりキツかったです。ほかのグループより早めだったため、ラストは荒川の川辺まで下りてクールダウンも。いいガイドさんに当たって良かったです。

In the morning, we took it easy with river kayaking. We also got to do stand-up paddleboarding and fishing, which was so much fun! We enjoyed a leisurely lunch on the river rocks before heading off to canyoning. Unlike in the morning, it really took a lot of energy. Jumping into the river was incredibly fun; I want to do it again! I was moved to see waterfalls that we couldn't have reached on our own. It was truly a wonderful day.

I participated in a tour to Jomon Sugi. The early 4 AM departure was good, but the large bus picked us up and went around about 10 accommodations before heading to the hiking trail. I felt that this explanation should have been provided. There was one guide for seven of us, but our skill levels were quite varied. The guide was a nice person and worked hard, but the pace was slow, and honestly, I got tired. If there are seven people, the levels should be divided, and I wondered if this company was just an intermediary. Given this, I felt that experienced trekkers wouldn't need a guide for the Jomon Sugi tour.

The plan itself is commendable. Especially since places like the area around Higashimura and the Quina exhibition facility are difficult to access, this is helpful.

Since it's a loop, the seats on the right side are on the land side and can be dazzling in the sun during this time of year. Additionally, since the windows are generally closed, there may be ventilation issues if there are many participants.

It might also be a good idea to start from Nago or Motobu instead of Naha to increase the number of stay points.

I was amazed by the views of the large rock formations at the Oishi Forest and was able to see the mangroves up close from the walking path. In the Kuina Forest, I had the chance to observe the adorable Yanbaru Kuina up close. The weather was also favorable, and from Cape Hedo at the northernmost point, I could see Yoronjima. I was deeply moved by the beauty of the sea and mountains in the Yanbaru World Heritage Site.

On June 22, I was able to experience a three-hour course. I was a bit anxious about the information from the guide who departed before us regarding "bear sightings," wondering if we might have to turn back. However, thanks to the guide's appropriate advice and guidance, the explanations about animals, birds, and plants made the experience enjoyable and extended beyond three hours. In the end, we were lucky to encounter an Ezo deer, and although we didn't see a bear, I was surprised to learn about fresh footprints and that they had walked near this course that morning. The footprints were quite vivid.

There were five participants, and we all got along well, concluding with a group photo before parting ways. Thank you to the guide for sending that photo later. I highly recommend this tour.

私達の前の時間に出発されたガイドさんからの「熊出没」の情報に途中引き返し有りかな？と不安で出発しました。しかし、ガイドさんの適切なアドバイスと案内で動物、野鳥、植物の説明が楽しく3時間をオーバーする内容となりました。結果エゾシカに遭遇ラッキー、熊には遭遇しませんでしたが、足跡が生々しく今日の朝このコースの近くを歩いたとの説明にビックリマークでした。足跡さえ生々しかったです。
参加者5名和気あいあいで最後は集合写真を撮って頂いての解散となりました。その写真もガイドさんが後日送って頂いてありがとうございました。お薦めツアーです。

I previously participated in this course when the Churaumi Aquarium was included. It was fun back then, but I joined again because there were several facilities in Yanbaru that weren't part of the course before.

The Yanbaru Kuina was incredibly cute! Just that made it worth coming. Even though it was through glass, I could observe it quite closely. The seafood set lunch and the souvenir snacks were all delicious as well.

Perhaps because it was Sunday, the cafeteria was quite crowded, and the guide who brought the food seemed to have a tough time. Thank you for your hard work...

I was very satisfied with the content. I would like to participate again.

以前美ら海水族館がコースに入っていた頃に参加した事があります。その時も楽しかったのですが、このコースは以前はなかったやんばるの施設がいくつかあったため再び参加しました。
ヤンバルクイナちゃんがとにかく可愛かった！これだけでも来てよかった。ガラス越しですがかなりじっくり観察できます。お昼の海鮮定食やお土産のお菓子もみんな美味しかったです。

I wanted to see Jomon Sugi in Yakushima with my own eyes on our honeymoon, so I joined a tour! We were quite worried about the 10-hour round trip hike since we had no climbing experience, but thanks to our guide, Chigira-san, we were able to safely admire the Jomon Sugi, and we are very satisfied!

The long journey to Jomon Sugi was not at all burdensome because we were able to learn various things along the way. We used a magnifying glass to look at moss, learned how to take "Instagram-worthy" photos, and received explanations about local efforts to protect Yakushima's nature, which was very educational.

Jomon Sugi was breathtaking, and I felt the power of life, gaining energy to tackle tomorrow! Each Yakusugi tree has its own story, and I was moved by each one. I am very grateful for Chigira-san's guidance.

During the descent, my knees started to hurt, but thanks to the trekking poles and support I was lent, the pain eased, and I was able to enjoy the return trip.

It was my birthday that day, and it became an unforgettable memory. I was really happy to be treated to gelato as a birthday present during the transfer.

I would love to come back to Yakushima and hike Jomon Sugi again, as well as try other trekking routes. When I do, I would like to ask Chigira-san to guide us again. I regret not taking a photo with Chigira-san, so next time, please let’s take a picture together!

往復10時間の山登りと聞いて、登山未経験者の私たちは大変心配しておりましたが、ガイドの千木良さんのサポートのおかげで無事、縄文杉の姿を拝むことができて、大変満足しております！

縄文杉までの長い道のりも、様々なことを教えていただきながら登れたので、全然苦になりませんでした。
ルーペを使って苔を見たり、「映える」写真の撮り方を教えてくださったり、屋久島の自然を守るための地域の取り組みを説明してくださるなど、たくさん勉強になることがありました。

縄文杉は圧巻で生命の力を肌で感じて、明日から頑張るエネルギーをいただくことができました！

縄文杉のほかの屋久杉それぞれに物語があり、ひとつひとつに感動しました。
これも千木良さんが教えてくださったからだと大変感謝しております。

下山中、膝が痛くなってしまったのですが、ストックやサポーターを貸していただいたおかげで、痛みも和らぎ帰りも楽しく帰ってこれました。　

当日、誕生日だったのですが、一生忘れられない思い出になりました。
送迎時に誕生日プレゼントとしてジェラートをごちそうしていただいたのも本当にうれしかったです。

また屋久島にきて縄文杉にも上りたいですし、ほかのトレッキングもしたいと思っています。
その際は、また千木良さんにガイドをお願いしたいと思っています。

Since it was the off-season, I ended up trekking with just the guide. I participated with some anxiety as a beginner in trekking and being out of shape. It was definitely not easy, but thanks to the guide's thoughtful attention, I was able to reach Jomon Sugi and make it back! The guide taught me about great photo spots and how to take pictures, allowing me to capture many wonderful memories. The next day, I was in a lot of pain from muscle soreness, but I truly feel it was worth it! Thank you so much, guide!!

So, I decided to book a guide, and it turned out to be the right choice.

The guide assigned to us was a veteran with over 20 years of experience, and not only did he have extensive knowledge about Yakushima's history and the Yakusugi trees, but he also shared fascinating behind-the-scenes stories from TV interviews and movie filming locations. He kept us entertained throughout the trek and during breaks. Despite the rain, he took many photos for us, lightening the mood among the participants, making the entire trekking experience enjoyable. At the finish line, we were treated to hot cocoa, which warmed both our hearts and bodies—it was truly delicious.

When I finally saw the Jomon Sugi at the end, I was moved by its ethereal presence, and the sense of accomplishment was exceptional. Initially, I intended to climb alone, but I believe that having the guide and the other participants with me helped me reach the top. 担当いただいたガイドさんは20年以上のベテランで屋久島の歴史や屋久杉のことなどの知識が豊富なのはもちろん、テレビの取材の裏話や映画の撮影スポットなどとても興味深い話もして頂き、道中はもちろん休憩中にも楽しませて頂きました。また、雨の中濡れながらもたくさんの写真を撮って頂き、他の参加者も和ませ、終始楽しいトレッキングでした。ゴールではなんとホットココアをいただき心も体も温まり本当に美味しかったです。
ゴールの縄文杉を見れたときは幻想的に佇むその姿に感動し、その達成感は格別でした。最初はひとりで登ろうとしていましたが、結果としてはガイドさんや他の参加者さんたちと一緒だったことも最後まで登りきれたお陰かなと思います。一緒に登れた、ガイドさん、参加者さんに感謝します。
今回はあいにくの天候でしたが、今度は晴れ間の縄文杉も見に来たいと思います。

I am a woman in my 30s. I usually don’t do much exercise.

At first, the path was paved with wooden boards, so even though the distance was long, I was able to move smoothly. After that, we progressed to the hiking trail leading to Jomon Sugi, which involved some ups and downs while being careful with my footing. It was a bit challenging, but I didn’t find it as difficult as I expected (I think the good weather helped).

Most of the other participants were women around the same age, so the pace was just right. I also enjoyed seeing various Yakusugi trees besides Jomon Sugi! Additionally, the tour arranged a delicious lunch bento for us. I would love to use this service again if I have the opportunity.

My impression after finishing the tour is that it would be difficult to cover such a course in one day on my own. Challenging ourselves with activities was the goal this time. Having accumulated many years, I participated with a bit of concern about my physical strength while canoeing and climbing mountains. Under the appropriate advice of our tour navigator, I was able to spend a very enjoyable half-day in an extraordinary experience. I will never forget the emotion I felt when I looked up at the Pinai Sara Falls! The plunge into the waterfall pool was also incredibly refreshing and the best part. We took three hours to walk the 3-kilometer trail, which allowed us plenty of time to take photos and listen to the guide's explanations, making for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Seeing the footprints and claw marks of the brown bears was thrilling, and I felt both excited about the possibility of encountering one and eager to see them from a distance.
