I participated with a friend. I was a bit anxious since it was my first serious trekking experience, but thanks to our guide's appropriate pacing and wonderful stories, I was able to enjoy the entire hike! On the first day, the trekking to Jomon Sugi was blessed with good weather, and I was able to see many amazing views, creating unforgettable memories. On the second day, although it was snowy at Shiratani Unsuikyo, I felt like I got to see the mountain's unique expressions, and in the end, I think it was a very good experience. If I have the opportunity, I would like to visit in a different season as well. I look forward to it again then.

友人と参加しました。初めての本格的なトレッキングで不安もありましたが、ガイドさんの適切なペースメイクと素敵なお話の数々で最後まで楽しく歩き切ることができました！1日目の縄文杉トレッキングはお天気にも恵まれ、素晴らしい景色を沢山見ることができ、忘れられない思い出ができました。2日目の白谷雲水峡はあいにくの雪でしたが、珍しい山の表情を見れた気がして、結果的にはとても良い経験ができたと思います。機会があれば、別の季節にも訪れたいと思っています。その際には、またよろしくお願いします。

It was disappointing that the stay at Daishi Forest Park was reduced to 60 minutes due to the new course, but we were able to efficiently explore the northern area.

On the day of the tour, the weather was nice, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch outdoors. While we were having lunch, the guide opened the bus windows for ventilation, and they took measures against COVID-19, which made us feel safe while sightseeing.

コースが新しくなって、大石林山の滞在が60分になってしまったのが残念でしたが、北部を効率よく回ることができました。
まだ音声ガイドができていないとのことで、日本語が少し不安なガイドさんが、一生懸命ガイドしてくれました。

当日は天気も良く、ランチも外で美味しく食べられてよかったです。
私達が昼食を取っている間などはバスの窓を開けて換気もしておいてくれ、コロナ対策もされていたので安心して観光ができました。

I fulfilled my dream of seeing Jomon Sugi with my own eyes.

The guide was incredibly experienced, and we were able to trek while chatting in a fun and informative way about tips for walking. Initially, we had planned to go on January 2, but it was canceled due to road closures leading to the trailhead. However, I felt reassured by their thorough communication. On the 3rd, although there was snow on the ground, we had clear blue skies and were able to see the most amazing scenery. I don't think it would have been as enjoyable without the guide, and I was satisfied to have climbed alongside everyone else. I think I will ask for their services again when I go back.

縄文杉を自分の目で見るという夢が叶いました。

ガイドの方もものすごく経験豊富、歩き方のコツなど
丁寧に楽しくおしゃべりしながらトレッキング出来ました。
また、1月2日の予定でしたが登山口までの道路の通行止めにより
中止になりましたが丁寧な連絡で安心できましたし、
3日は雪は積もってましたが、晴天の青空
最高の景色を見ることが出来ました。
ガイド無しでは楽しく無かったと思いますし
一緒に登った皆様とも楽しく登れて満足してます。
また行くときはお願いすると思います。

Due to my lack of confidence in my physical strength for climbing and the fact that it was late December, I signed up for a trekking tour in the low-elevation evergreen forest. The fact that it was possible to join alone, there was a pick-up service to the hotel (Miyanoura), and lunch was included in a bento box were also key points for my decision to join.

When the guide invited me to climb a banyan tree, I was surprised since I had no experience in tree climbing, but I decided to take on the challenge since it was a rare opportunity. With the guide's help in navigating where to place my feet, I managed to climb and it became a wonderful memory.

I was also able to encounter the long-awaited Yakuzaru and Yakushika, and I was so engrossed in taking photos and videos that I ended up acting like a stalker at the end (laughs).

Thanks to the guide's kind explanations and accommodating my walking pace, I had a very enjoyable and fulfilling time. Thank you very much. I definitely want to visit again during the fresh green season.

登山する体力に自信がないことと12月下旬であることから、標高の低い照葉樹林のトレッキングツアーに申し込みました。
また、一人でも参加可能、ホテル（宮之浦）まで迎えあり、昼食のお弁当込みであることも申し込みのポイントとしました。
ガイドさんからガジュマルの樹に登ってみませんか、と誘われた時は木登りの経験がないためビックリしましたが、折角のチャンスなのでチャレンジしました。足をかける場所等をナビしてもらいどうにか登ることができ、良い思い出になりました。
念願のヤクザルやヤクシカにも出会え、夢中で写真やビデオを撮り最後にはストーカーのようになっていました（笑）。
ガイドさんの親切な説明、私の歩くペースにあわせていただき、大変楽しく充実した時間を過ごすことができました、ありがとうございました。
次回は是非、新緑の時期に訪れたいです。

Climbing the mountains is not the only charm of Yakushima. We hope you enjoyed the nature slowly while seeing various creatures and touching the plants in the forest. The forest is green all year round, but during the fresh green season, the bright green is dazzling, and you can really feel the energy—it's a wonderful time of year.

I received great support from the guide during this Jomon Sugi trekking tour. I’m not good with heights, but I was able to cross bridges without handrails safely. There were some people who went alone, but I felt much more secure being with a guide. The actual Jomon Sugi was very mystical. If I have the chance, I would like to challenge myself again.

A few years ago, I visited Daishi Forest and Cape Hedo, but this time I participated because the course changed a bit, including a stroll through the mangrove forest. The buns and cheese tarts we had along the way were also very delicious. The lunch was tasty, and I thought I might want to go eat there again. We participated as a couple in our 70s and 60s. The hiking trail, filled with rocks and tree roots, was quite exhausting. We were out of breath going up and had to stop frequently, and going down, our legs wouldn't cooperate, causing us to trip often. Without the guide's help, I think we would have had to retire partway through. The forest of Yakushima is truly wonderful, and it can only be felt by walking through it yourself. I wish I had gone when I was younger and had more stamina, but thanks to the private guided tour we arranged this time, we were able to make it back and forth to Taiko Rock safely. Thank you for accommodating our many requests.

70と60の夫婦で参加しました。岩と石、木の根っこがはびこる登山道はかなり疲れました。上りは息があがり立ち止まってばかり、下りは足が思うように上がらず躓いてばかり。ガイドさんの助けがなかったら途中でリタイアしていたと思います。屋久島の森は本当に素晴らしく、それは自分で歩いてこそ感じられるものでした。もっと体力のある若い時に行っておけばよかったと思いながら、今回、貸切ガイドツアーをお願いしたおかげで無事に太鼓岩まで往復できました。たくさん我が儘も聞いていただきありがとうございました。

I went by canoe to the foot of the mountain and trekked to Pinai Sara Falls. Since it had rained the day before, the water flow of the falls was great, and it was sunny on the day of our visit, so we were able to see a rainbow. We participated in a long-awaited trekking trip to Yakushima with two couples (in our 50s and 60s). I was particularly anxious as I’m not athletic and it was my first trekking experience, so we opted for a private tour to avoid inconveniencing others. This turned out to be a great decision. Thanks to the wonderful support from Mr. Fujiyama, a local expert on Yakushima, we successfully reached Taiko Rock. He patiently taught us the basics, such as how to use trekking poles and proper walking techniques. When we started to feel tired, he quickly noticed and took regular breaks. He also shared interesting information about Yakushima's history, the Yakusugi trees, moss, and various plants, which was refreshing. Encouraged by him, we pushed on and finally arrived at Taiko Rock, where we were blown away by the breathtaking panoramic view. All our fatigue vanished in an instant. We were able to reach our destination thanks to Mr. Fujiyama's excellent pacing. He also took many photos with the best spots as the backdrop, showcasing his award-winning skills from the Yakushima photo contest. Each photo beautifully captured the mystical scenery, creating precious memories for our group. I would love to request Mr. Fujiyama again for the Jomon Sugi tour next time. Thank you very much for all your help!

念願の屋久島トレッキングに友人夫婦と私達夫婦4人（50代60代）で参加。特に私は運動音痴で初めてのトレッキングで不安が一杯で、他の方の迷惑になってはと貸切にしました。これが大正解。案内して頂いた屋久島を知り尽くした地元ご出身の藤山さんの見事なサポートのおかげで無事太鼓岩まで行くことができました。ストックの使い方、歩き方など基本的なことを丁寧に教えて下さり、また、疲れが出てきた時は、すぐに察してこまめに休憩をとって下さり、屋久島の歴史、屋久杉、苔、草花のことなどわかりやすく教えてくださり、リフレッシュできました。そして、さああともう少しと励まして頂き、太鼓岩に到着し大パロラマの壮大な景色に大感動。疲れも一瞬で吹き飛びました。無事到着できたのも藤山さんの絶妙なペース配分のおかげです。また、ベストスポットを背景に写真も沢山撮って下さり、さすが屋久島写真コンテストで受賞された腕前で、一枚一枚神秘的な景色をバックにとっても上手に撮れていて、グループの大切な記念の写真となりました。次も藤山さんにお願いして縄文杉ツアーに是非挑戦したいです。大変お世話になり本当にありがとうございました。

We toured the island in a counterclockwise direction with a dedicated guide driving us. The guide's explanations were accurate and fascinating, and we could change our destinations based on our preferences. We visited the tea fields in Yakushima, which is geographically the first place to ship "new tea," and also stopped by the Morikyu Shrine, where the fallen Heike warriors are enshrined. We saw the couple Aokou trees, whose roots are intertwined, and visited the Yakushima Lighthouse, which is inaccessible by bus. We also enjoyed the Hirauchi Seacoast Onsen, where bathing is allowed without underwear, as it springs from the sea. I was very satisfied with the experience.

専属のガイドさんの運転で、反時計回りで、島内観光をしました。ガイドさんの説明が的確で興味深く、行く場所も希望で変更出来ました。地理的に一番早く「新茶」が出荷できる屋久島の茶畑に立ち寄ったり、平家の落人が祀られている盛久神社、境内に２本のアコウの根と根が絡み合い合体している夫婦アコウを観光したり、バスでは行けない屋久島灯台、下着厳禁で入浴可能な、海の中から湧き出ている平内海中温泉も観光しました、大満足でした。

It seems that the tour content has been renewed. For me, it was my first time in northern Okinawa. The weather was slightly rainy. I was a bit anxious about walking in the forest, but it turned out to be more enjoyable than I had imagined!

We were picked up at 7:30 AM in front of the prefectural office and took a bus for about two hours to our first destination. The seating arrangement on the bus was spacious, and I felt that there was consideration for COVID-19 measures.

I believe the biggest attraction of this tour is the Daisekirinzan. We were given an hour and a half for free exploration, which was really fulfilling. Of course, walking in nature can be challenging due to roots and muddy areas. A distance of 1 km that could be walked in 15 minutes on flat ground took twice as long, as per the guide's advice. However, during the free exploration time, the guide provided markers at key points, giving us time estimates and knowledge, which allowed us to proceed with confidence.

And the scenery was beautiful. The light filtering through the trees, glimpses of the coastline, and distant islands created a sense of liberation that made me want to stretch up high.

As for the return trip, it depends on traffic conditions, but I think it's good to plan for around 6:30 PM. It was a day filled with wonderful memories.

このツアーの一番の魅力は、大石林山だと思います。
今回、自由散策1時間半の時間をとってもらって、すごく満喫できました。
もちろん、自然の中を歩くので、根っこやぬかるみなど、歩きにくい。
平地なら15分で歩ける1Kmが、添乗員さんのアドバイス通り、倍の時間が掛かります。でも、自由散策時間でも、添乗員さんがポイントポイントで道標してくださって、時間の目安や知識を教えてくれたので、安心して行程を進むことができました。
そして、目に映る景色、光景が美しいこと。
木々の間から差し込む光や、垣間見える海岸、遠くに見える島など、思わず背伸びしてしまう解放感がここにありました。

帰りは渋滞具合によりますが、18:30くらいを目安に予定を立てれば良いと思います。
楽しい思い出ができた一日でした。

By chance, we were slightly out of sync with the other tour guests, allowing us to enjoy the river and beautiful scenery all to ourselves.

The scenery and air are simply the best. I felt that trekking in the peak of summer would be tough, so I’m glad I could experience it in this season!

Unfortunately, the weather was not great. I couldn't see all the scenery I was supposed to, but I'm glad I participated in the only tour in the northern region. The participants were all different, but I think the guide's personality made it a fun tour. I also appreciated their flexibility in accommodating us.

As for souvenirs, most of them seemed better to eat on the spot, so it felt like I was constantly eating. But they were delicious, and thanks to that, I felt satisfied even with the poor scenery. The lunch was also tasty.

I can drive, but since the northern area is a bit far, I decided to join the tour, and I have no regrets. The regular price might be a bit high compared to other tours. If it's around ¥7000 to ¥8000, I would consider joining again.

おみやげはどれもその場で食べた方がいい感じのものばかりだったので、ずーっと食べてる感じでした。でも美味しかったし、そのおかげで景色が悪くても満足感がありました。昼も美味しかった。

運転できるけど北部はちょっと遠いので参加したのですが後悔なしです。通常価格だと高いかなー。他のツアーに比べて。¥7000〜8000ならまた参加しようかなと思います。

This was my second visit to Jomon Sugi, and I was excited after a long time. I had imagined it would be similar to my last visit, which had only two participants, but this time there were five. I had never been north of Nago in Okinawa Main Island, and since the tour included attractions I had wanted to visit, such as Cape Hedo and the Oishi Forest, I signed up for it. The lunch was also luxurious and very delicious. I was able to experience feeding Kuu-chan, the Okinawa rail, and the content of the tour exceeded my expectations. I even received four types of small gifts as a little present. The guide was kind, making it the best day ever. Plus, it was part of the Go To program, so it was very affordable.

沖縄本島は名護より北には行った事が無く以前から行きたかった辺戸岬や大石林山等々の観光が含まれていたのでツアーに申し込みました。

This tour covers several places that are difficult to visit alone, with a reasonable amount of time spent at each location. The meals were quite delicious, making for a highly satisfying experience.

The stunning views at the Great Stone Forest (it might be tough for very small children as it can be a bit steep), and the mangroves that you can walk through are definitely worth it. You can generally see what you expect. If you're lucky, you might even spot some wildlife, though I found it a bit scary (laughs).

*Make sure to wear comfortable clothing for walking. While you won't be walking for long periods, there are some quite rugged areas.*

一人では行きにくい場所をいくつも網羅してくれているツアーで各ツアーでの滞在時間もほどよく、食事もかなり美味しく相当満足感の高いツアーでした。

かなり絶景の大石林山(ちょっと険しいので小さすぎる子供は大変かも？)、歩いて見ることが出来るマングローブ、そう言うニーズあるんじゃないでしょうか、概ね想像通りのものが見れますよー。
野生動物も運が良ければ善きに悪きに目撃できます、私は少し怖かったけど(笑)

※必ず歩きやすい格好で行きましょう。

It was my first time trekking, but I was taught how to walk with minimal strain, and along the way, I was guided through various plants, which made it very enjoyable. One guide led a group of seven of us. Since it’s early in the morning and dark, a flashlight is essential.

The night before the trekking, the climbing gear was delivered to the hotel.
Since this is an activity eligible for the Go To Travel program, I thought they were taking proper COVID-19 precautions, but when I tried to pack my belongings into the backpack, I found a wrapper from shrimp crackers and used tissue paper in the side pocket.
It was hard to believe they had sanitized anything before lending it out, and it was quite unsettling.
I really can't believe they are taking COVID-19 precautions.
It's strange that this is eligible for the Go To Travel program.
I thought I would have to sanitize everything myself to be able to use it, and when I took out the rainwear to sanitize it, I found that the middle of the backside was torn, and there was a hole in the calf area that had been taped shut.
So this is what "rental included" means.

何の除菌もせず貸し出したとしか思えず、ゾッとしました。
とてもコロナ対策をしているとは思えません。
go to トラベル適用なのが不思議です。
これは自分でしっかり除菌をしないととても使えないと思い、レインウェアも取り出して除菌すると、お尻の真ん中は破れていて、脹ら脛にも穴があってセロテープて閉じられていました。
レンタル込みとはこういうことだったのですね。

First of all, I was prepared for the rain, but I was fortunate with the weather. I thought it would be dull to walk alone in a solo trip, so I signed up for a local tour to hear various stories from the area.
