This was a trip for our family of four. I was worried about whether my mother would be able to walk, but we successfully reached Jomon Sugi! I believe it was all thanks to our guide's thoughtfulness. Our experienced guide carefully controlled my mother's walking pace and provided various explanations in places not mentioned in magazines. They also took many photos, making it a truly fulfilling journey. Thank you very much.

母が歩けるか心配していたのですが無事に縄文杉まで到達することが出来ました！
それもこれもガイドさんの気遣いのおかげだと思います。
ベテランのガイドさんで、母の歩く速度をしっかりとコントロールしてくれて、また雑誌にない様々な場所で色々な説明をしてくれました。写真もたくさん撮ってくれて本当に充実した旅になりました。

I usually don't walk at all, so I was very anxious about the round trip of 22 km, but in the end, I was able to make the round trip with minimal damage. It hardly affected the Shiratani Unsuikyo tour the next day. I believe it was thanks to the guide's pacing.
Also, the guide was from Fukuoka and seemed to have studied very well, providing accurate explanations with a touch of humor, which was great.

　私は普段全く歩かないので、往復２２㎞という行程が非常に不安でしたが、結果的には、それほどダメージもなく往復することができました。翌日の白谷雲水峡ツアーにもほとんど影響は出ませんでした。やはり、ガイドさんのペース配分のおかげだと思います。
　また、ガイドさんは福岡出身の方でしたが、とてもよく勉強されているようで、ユーモアを交えた的確な説明が大変良かったです。

Since our family of four (ages 66, 60, 27, and 25) had very little mountain climbing experience, we decided to hire a private guide. Before arriving in Yakushima, we were a bit surprised to learn that our guide would be a foreigner, but we were looking forward to it. On the morning of the hike, Jennifer, who came to pick us up at the hotel, was a wonderful woman who spoke fluent Japanese and was full of love for Yakushima. As we walked at our own pace, she taught us about fragrant leaves and suggested that soaking our feet in the cold river water would relieve our tiredness. Our daughters were also able to take their time to take photos, making the private guide experience truly worthwhile.

I think this course was just right in terms of distance and time for acclimatizing us for the following day's trek to Jomon Sugi. The clear weather also made it perfect for trekking beginners.

家族4人（66,60,27,25才）登山経験がほとんどなかったので　こちらの貸切ガイドをお願いしました。
屋久島入りする前に私達のガイドさんが外国の方だと知り　ちょっとびっくりしましたが楽しみにしていました。当日の朝、ホテルに迎えにきてくださったジェニファーさんは　日本語ペラペラで、屋久島大好きにあふれた明るい素敵な女性でした。私達のペースに合わせて歩きながら　いい香りのする葉っぱを教えてもらったり　冷たい川の水の足を浸したら足の疲れがいっぺんにとれるよと教えてもらったり、　娘達もゆっくり写真を撮ることができて貸切ガイドは本当によかったです。
このコースは距離も時間も長すぎないので　翌日の縄文杉への足ならしにちょうどよかったと思います。晴れだったこともありトレッキング初心者にはピッタリでした。　

I thought it was reckless for our family of four, with almost no mountain climbing experience, to challenge Jomon Sugi, so we requested a private guide. I figured that with a private tour, if it became physically too difficult, we could turn back at any time. As a 60-year-old mother, I was a bit tired from the previous day's trekking at Shiratani Unsuikyo, and by the time we passed the trolley path, the uphill climb became tough. I was contemplating when to declare my surrender, but our guide, Mr. Fujiyama, was always attentive, frequently stopping to show us rare plants and sharing his extensive knowledge about plant names and Yakushima, keeping us thoroughly engaged.

During the ascent, we were overtaken by many people from behind, and before we knew it, we had become part of the last group. However, incredibly, we all managed to reach Jomon Sugi together! Because we didn’t push ourselves too hard on the way up, we were able to easily catch up with those in front of us on the descent, taking our time to take photos, and we even made it onto the 5:30 bus! Personally, I preferred the Ohkubo Sugi and Wilson stump, but achieving my wish to see Jomon Sugi, especially since we came all the way to Yakushima, was entirely thanks to our guide assessing our stamina and pacing the climb appropriately. Our whole family was moved by this experience. Trekking without a professional guide would have been a huge waste. It was definitely the right decision to request a private guide. Thank you so much, Mr. Fujiyama, for being a wonderful guide.

On that day (May 5), it was sunny all day, but even with an Airism undershirt, short-sleeve sports shirt, down vest, cotton shirt, and rented rainwear, it was still cold in the morning. (Recommendation: I started renting trekking poles, and I think that made things much easier. Even though it was May, I also recommend Megurizumu for those who are sensitive to the cold. I used two patches, and they provided a gentle warmth that was convenient since I could remove them if I got too hot.)

ほとんど登山経験なしの私達家族4人が　縄文杉にチャレンジするのは無謀かと思いこちらの貸切ガイドをお願いしました。プライベートツアーなら体力的に無理だったら途中で引き返せると思ったからです。60歳の私(母)は　前日の白谷雲水峡トレッキングの疲れも少しあったのか　トロッコ道を過ぎた頃から早々に登り道がつらくて　どこでギブアップ宣言をしようかと考えながらだったのですが、ガイドの藤山さんは始終 後ろを気配りながら　こまめに足を止めて珍しい植物を見せてくれたり、植物の名前、屋久島のことなどに限らず知識も話題も豊富で楽しくて私達をぜんぜん飽きさせません。登り時　後ろからくる人たちにどんどん追い越されていき　いつの間にか　ほぼ最後尾のグループになっていましたが　それでも最終的には信じられないことに全員揃って縄文杉まで辿り着くことができました。そして登り時に無理しなかったぶん　下りはすいすい前の人たちに追いつき　ゆっくりと写真を撮っていただいたりしながらも　なんと5時半のバスに乗れました!!　個人的には大王杉やウィルソン株のほうが好きでしたが、せっかく屋久島まで来たんだから縄文杉を見てみたいという希みを達成できたのは　ひとえにガイドさんが私達の体力を見極めて登りは無理しないペース配分を考えてくださったおかげだと家族全員感動しています。プロのガイドなしのトレッキングでは絶対もったいないです。貸切ガイドをお願いして正解でした。藤山さん、素晴らしいガイドを本当にありがとうございました。

この日（5/5）は一日中快晴でしたが、エアリズムの肌着、半袖スポーツシャツ、ダウンベスト、綿シャツ、レンタルしたレインウェアを着こんでも　午前中は寒かったです。（お奨め品：私はストックを始めてレンタルしましたが　これでずいぶん楽だったように思います。5月でしたが、寒がりのかたにはめぐりズムもお奨めします。私は2枚貼ってましたが、カイロよりゆるい温かさで　暑くなれば剥がせばいいので便利です。）

When we departed from Ishigaki Island, the wind and rain were strong, and I was quite anxious about my first canoe experience. However, upon arriving at Iriomote Island and receiving an explanation, my worries faded as the rain stopped just as we started paddling.

Under the guidance of our instructor, Mr. Iwamoto, we smoothly progressed into a mangrove forest. We learned about the differences between two types of roots, as well as the flowers and buds, followed by a break.

We then headed further upstream.

After getting off the canoe, we crawled up a narrow, steep slope for about 20 minutes and arrived at the Pinaisara Falls. I was surprised to hear that it has a drop of 55 meters.

After a break, we descended carefully to avoid slipping and falling. My thighs were feeling weak... I was healed by the species that inspired Ultraman, and we made our way back to the canoe launch point.

On the return trip, the tide was low, revealing sandy areas in places. We had to be careful not to get stuck in the shallows and to resist the current, but we finally arrived.

With a full course of activities including the sea, river, mountain climbing, waterfalls, and canoeing, it was a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.

石垣島を出港する時は風雨が強く初めてのカヌー体験かなり不安でしたが、西表島に着き説明を受け、カヌーを漕ぎ出すころには雨が止み不安は払拭。

ガイドの岩本さんの指導のもと、順調に進むとマングローブの森に。2種類の根の違いや花や芽の説明を聞き、ブレークタイム。
さらに川の上流へ。

カヌーを降り、狭く急な斜面を這うように登ること20分、ピナイサーラの滝へ到着。
落差が55mと聞き驚き。

休憩後、滑って滑落しないように下山。
太ももにチカラが入らない…
ウルトラマンのモデルになった種で癒され、カヌー乗り場へ。

戻りは潮が引き、所々砂地が。浅瀬に乗り上げないように潮の流れに負けないように、やっと
到着。

海、川、山登り、滝、カヌー、フルコースのアクティビティで満腹、楽しい体験でした。

I challenged myself to trek to Jomon Sugi with my husband. I was a bit anxious about walking for about 10 hours, but we made it safely! (I usually run lightly once a week.)

For the first three hours, we walked along the trolley path. However, with the guide's stories and the thrilling suspension bridge (which is quite high above a river), I never got bored.

The remaining two hours were on mountain trails, and while I was a bit out of breath at times, I wasn't gasping for air. I was moved by the grandeur of Jomon Sugi! During our lunch break, the guide made miso soup for us, which was such a nice touch.

It rained a little, but it seemed to enhance the moss, making it even more beautiful. After descending, we all stretched our bodies, and perhaps because of that, I didn't feel much pain the next day, allowing us to enjoy sightseeing in Yakushima.

主人と縄文杉トレッキングに挑戦。
約10時間歩くということで不安もありましたが、無事歩ききりました！（普段は週一で軽くランニングする程度）
最初の3時間程度はトロッコ道をひたすら歩きます。
が、ガイドさんのお話や、途中の吊り橋（下が川で高さも結構ある）がヒヤヒヤしたりとで、飽きることはありません。
残り2時間程度は山道で少し息が切れる事もありますが、ゼエゼエいうことはありません。
縄文杉の壮大さに感動しました！
途中のランチの際にはガイドさんがお味噌汁を作ってくれました、嬉しいですね、こういうのは。
雨が少し降っていましたが、苔が潤って、かえって良かったようです。
下山後、全員で体をほぐしたのですが、その効果があったのか次の日もさほど体が痛くなることもなく、屋久島観光を楽しむことができました。

It was truly a fulfilling experience, and the afterglow of the tour was amazing; I had a lot of fun!

I understood why Shiretoko became a World Heritage site through the explanations of its ecosystem, the breathtaking views that need no explanation, and the extraordinary experience of exploring animal trails. Everything was impressive.

It was also an opportunity to learn the importance of "experiencing to remember." I would like to participate again in a different season!

その理由がわかるような生態系の説明、
説明いらずの絶景、
非日常的な獣道探索、
全てが印象的です。

“体験して覚える”大切さを学ぶ機会にもなりました。
季節を変えて、また参加したいと思います！

I went to Jomon Sugi. It was the peak of the Golden Week holiday, but thanks to our guide's quick thinking, we had an early pickup at 4 AM. As a result, we were the first at the trailhead and could start our ascent smoothly.

The 10-hour trek was tough, but with regular breaks and the reassurance from our guide, we were able to safely visit Jomon Sugi and return.

Fortunately, we had a sunny day, but it seems like it often rains, so rain gear is essential. Also, snacks are a must!!! It seems that moving around burns a lot of energy, and I ended up eating more snacks than I expected.

While it's possible to go without a guide, I think it's safer for those who are not used to hiking to go with one.

縄文杉までいきました。ゴールデンウイークの超繁忙期でしたが、ガイドさんの機転で、予定より速い４時ピックアップ。お陰で登山口一番乗りで、スムーズに登り始められました。
計10時間のトレッキングはきつかったですが、適度に休憩をいれてくれたのと、ガイドさんの安心感とで、無事に縄文杉を拝んで返ってくることができました。
幸い私たちは晴れた日でしたが、雨の日もおおいみたいなので、レインウエア必須です。あとおやつも必携！！！動いてるとエネルギー消費が激しいのか、予想よりたくさんおやつ食べました。
ガイドさんなしでいくこともできますが、登山になれていないかたは、ガイドさんと一緒の方が安心だと思います。

I rarely have the opportunity to go to the very edge like Cape Hedo, so I think those who love exploring the farthest places would want to aim for it. The weather was great, which made it even better. I also worked hard to trek two courses at the Oishi Forest Mountain. There are four courses in total. I thoroughly enjoyed the Churaumi Aquarium as well. The scene of the whale shark being fed was quite impressive. I also watched the dolphin show. Oki-chan (the dolphin) was lively. Three hours flew by just like that. Due to traffic during the holiday, we were delayed by an hour, but they made sure to keep the schedule intact without cutting anything. However, there was little time for lunch, and some items were sold out or had stopped taking orders, which was a bit disappointing. Just getting to Kunigami was enough for me...

なかなか辺戸岬のような端まで行く機会がなかったので，最果てめぐりが好きな人は目指しだがるのではないでしょうか？天気も良かったので最高でした。大石林山のトレッキングも頑張って2コースまわりました。4コースあります。美ら海水族館も十分堪能しました。ジンベイザメの餌を食べるシーンはなかなかでした。イルカのショーも見ました。おきちゃん（イルカ），元気でした。これだけで3時間なんてあっという間でした。連休の渋滞で，時間が1時間ずれ込みましたがどこもカットされず，しっかり時間を確保してくださいました。ただ昼食は時間が少なく，sold outになっていたりオーダーストップがかかっていたりとちょっと残念。国頭まで行けただけで十分かな...

The trekking at Shiratani Unsuikyo, starting early in the morning before boarding the high-speed boat at noon, was fantastic thanks to the favorable weather. I will never forget the exhilarating moment when I reached Taiko Rock after the tough final climb covered in moss. The view was breathtaking.

お昼の高速船に乗る前に早朝からの白谷雲水峡の、トレッキングは天候にも恵まれ最高でした。苔で覆われた杉最後の登りがきつかった太鼓岩にたどり着いた時の絶叫、絶景は忘れられません

I used it on the busiest day of Golden Week, but I was able to easily reach the trailhead by chartered bus. The trekking on the trolley path was quite tough, but with encouragement, I managed to reach Jomon Sugi.

GWの1番混んでいる日に利用しましたが貸切のバスで楽々登山口まで行けました。トレッキングはトロッコ道がかなり辛かったけれど励ましてもらいながらなんとか縄文杉に辿り着く事が出来ました

In the morning, I visited Shiratani Unsuikyo, and in the afternoon, I went to Wilson Stump and Jomon Sugi. It was an ambitious course, so I was initially anxious, but the local veteran guide was very kind. The timing was precise, and we arrived almost exactly at the times he communicated. He considered our pacing, so even someone like me, who isn't used to hiking, was able to finish while staying hydrated and nourished. He clearly communicated what not to do, which helped me understand the importance of the rules of the mountains, making it a valuable learning experience. I recommend it for those who are confident in their physical fitness. I don't have a habit of walking, but I usually practice yoga and do moderate aerobic exercise about twice a month. Just for reference.

午前中に白谷雲水峡、午後はウィルソン株、縄文杉のコースでした。欲張りコースなので、始めは不安でしたが、地元のベテランガイドさんがとても親切でした。時間配分が正確で伝えてくれた時間にはほぼ正確に到着していました。ペース配分を考えてくれているので、山慣れしていない私でも水分栄養補給しながら終えることができました。してはいけないことなどもはっきり伝えてくださるので、山のルールの大切さがわかりよい学びにもなりました。体力に自信のある方はお勧めです。私はウォーキングの習慣はありませんが、普段は日常的にヨガ、中度レベルの有酸素運動を月2回ほど行っています。参考までに。

I had some anxieties and worries about my belongings and stamina, but on the other hand, I was excited for this first experience. However! The staff were incredibly easy to talk to and fun, and the borrowed equipment was user-friendly. Before I knew it, we had arrived at Jomon Sugi while enjoying conversations! I also learned a lot about the history of Yakusugi and some rare plants. It was such a wonderful time that made me want to climb with the tour guides again! Thank you very much.

初めての体験で期待の反面、持ち物から体力など不安や心配がありました…
でも！スタッフの皆さんがすごく話しやすく、楽しい方々でお借りした持ち物も使いやすくて楽しく会話していたらあっという間に縄文杉まで到着！そして珍しい植物から屋久杉の歴史について色々と学べました。また、ツアーガイドさん達と一緒に登りたい！そう思えるようなステキな時間でした。ありがとうございました。

Thanks to our knowledgeable and kind guide, we were able to discover deer and bear tracks (and droppings) that we wouldn't have noticed as amateurs! The guide was also well-versed in bird calls, making the forest feel completely different! I would love to join the winter snowshoe tour as well!

The Shiratani Unsuikyo itself is wonderful, and I was moved by the nature of Yakushima, a UNESCO World Heritage site. However, my honest opinion is that it would have suited our family better to go on our own rather than relying on this tour company.

Initially, I was unaware that the tour company, rental company, and guide were separate organizations. From my perspective, I assumed that all the information I provided through Veltra was being coordinated.

However, when I contacted the guide the day before, I found out that our return flight time had not been communicated, and we had to hastily move up the meeting time.

We also rented some gear, but since that was with a different company, I managed to contact them directly the day before to ensure it arrived on time. However, the rental items were delivered after 8:00 PM the night before, and the rental company instructed us to return them to the guide, but the guide said they could not accept them.

Regarding the guide, since they operate independently, I believe there are individual differences, but the person assigned to our family had low hospitality and looked down on us as beginners in hiking. The explanations were minimal, and despite having a child in elementary school, they proceeded at their own pace without taking sufficient breaks, resulting in a significantly shortened return trip. (Due to the weather and the child's walking speed, we could not reach Taiko Rock.)

So, my straightforward opinion is that it would have been better to explore at our own pace.

白谷雲水峡自体は素晴らしく、世界遺産屋久島の自然に感動しました。
但し、こちらのツアー会社に頼むことはなく、自力で行くほうが私たちの家族には合っていたというのが正直な感想です。

当初は、ツアー会社・レンタル会社・ガイドさんがそれぞれ別の組織であることを知りませんでした。こちらからすればVeltra経由でお伝えした情報は全て連携されているという前提で考えていました。

ところが、実際前日になり、ガイドさんと連絡をとったところ、こちらの帰りの飛行機の時間が伝わっておらず、集合時間を急遽早めることになりました。

またグッズのレンタルをしたのですが、こちらも別会社ということで、前日にこちらから連絡を直接とってなんとか間に合いましたが、前日の20:00過ぎにレンタル品が届くという形でしたし、レンタル会社にはガイドさんに返却するように言われたのですが、ガイドさんからは受け取れないという返事でした。

ガイドさんに関しても、基本的には個人でやられているということで、これは個人差があるのだと思いますが、私たち家族の担当の方はホスピタリティが低く、登山初心者の私たちをどこか見下した態度でした。解説は最低限で、小学校低学年の子供がいるにもかかわらず、自分のペースでどんどん進んでしまい、休憩も十分に取らないまま、予定を大幅に短縮しての帰還になりました。（天候と子供の歩くスピードの関係で太鼓岩に行けませんでした。）

ということで、それであれば自分たちのペースでゆっくり回れば良かったというのが率直な感想です。

We participated as a middle-aged couple with little climbing experience and a lack of exercise. Our guide, Ms. Yabuta, is a young woman who moved from outside the prefecture. She was very knowledgeable and provided us with excellent support.

For example, on the way back from Jomon Sugi, when my knees started to hurt and my walking slowed down, she lent me a knee supporter and carried my backpack during steep descents. I had worn support tights and taken some precautions beforehand, but I hadn't thought of using an additional supporter on top of that, so her help was greatly appreciated.

She also occasionally stopped to explain about the trees, flowers, moss, and ferns. Looking back, I think these breaks were not just for resting but were provided as "refreshment while learning." Thanks to her, we were able to complete a safe and educational journey, even though we were exhausted.

When I signed up, I thought the price was a bit high, but considering that the hotel pickup was at 5 AM and drop-off at 7 PM, and that we received 14 hours of one-on-one, intensive service, as well as the ability to walk at our own pace without worrying about other participants, I feel it was definitely worth it.

登山経験がほぼない、運動不足の中年夫婦での参加でした。
ガイドの藪田さんは、県外から移住してこられた若い女性ですが、よく勉強しておられ、私たちを大変丁寧にサポートしてくださいました。
例えば、縄文杉からの帰路、ひざ痛で歩行が鈍くなった際には、サポーターを貸し、急な下りの箇所ではリュックを持ってくださいました。
サポートタイツをはき、事前対策はしていたのですが、その上からさらにサポーターをつけるという発想はなく、用意もしていなかったので、とても助かりました。
また、ときどき立ち止まり、木や花、苔、シダなどについて解説してくれたのですが、振り返ってみれば、それが「休憩のための休憩」ではなく、「学びながらのリフレッシュ」として提供されていたのではないかと思います。
おかげで、へとへとになりながらも、安全で、学びの多い旅を完遂することができました、
申し込む際には、料金がちょっと高いかなとも思いましたが、ホテルへの迎えが５時、送りが１９時で、１４時間マンツーマンで濃いサービスを受けられたことや、他の参加者に気兼ねなく、ゆっくりマイペースで歩き通すことができたことなどを考えると、決して高くなかったと感じています。

I think this is a well-organized tour that allows you to visit key spots while covering a long distance in a limited amount of time. Personally, I felt I could have spent a bit more time at Daishi Forest Mountain, but overall, the schedule was reasonable. As far as I could find, this was the only tour that goes to the northernmost point of the main island, so I appreciated that aspect as well.

限られた時間内で長距離を移動しつつ要所を見て回れる、コンパクトにまとまった良いツアーだと思います。確かに個人的には大石林山にもう少しいたかったかなとは思いますが、全体的に見ると妥当な時間割でした。
本島最北端へ行けるツアーは調べた限りこちらしかなかったので、その意味でもありがたかったです。

I joined the tour with the goal of visiting Taiko Rock and Jomon Sugi. Since it was during Golden Week, I was worried about the crowds, but thanks to our guide's assistance, we were able to enjoy nature while walking without other groups around us. It's a bit of a challenging course since it's a greedy route, but the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction is greater than with other tours. If your goals align, I highly recommend giving this course a try!

太鼓岩と縄文杉が目的でツアーに参加しました。GWということもあり人混みが心配でしたが、ガイドさんの案内のおかげで前後に他のグループも無くて自然を満喫しながら歩けました。欲張りコースなので多少はしんどいですが達成感や満足感は他のツアーよりあるので目的が合えばぜひチャレンジオススメするコースです！

I participated in the Jomon Sugi trekking the day before, so I was sore all over, but surprisingly, once I started walking, my body moved well. Sunlight filtering through the mossy forest. After climbing a bit more in the somewhat dark mossy forest, the view suddenly opened up, and the green scenery spread out, with a pleasant breeze. We departed at 8:40 and returned by 2:30 PM. When we arrived at Taiko Rock, the guide told us we had plenty of time, so we were able to relax. We had lunch on the way down, and the instant miso soup the guide made was delicious! I would love to visit again in a different season. Thank you for your help.

前日に縄文杉トレッキングに参加していたので、全身筋肉痛でしたが歩き始めると意外と身体が動いて驚きでした。
苔むす森に差し込んでくる木漏れ日。
少し暗い苔むす森をもうひとふんばり登ると
一気に視界がひらけて、緑の景色が広がって風も気持ちよかったです。
８時４０分出発、午後２時半には帰ってこれました。
太鼓岩に到着したときに、時間に余裕がありますよ、とガイドさんに言われてのんびりできました。
下山途中でお昼を食べて、ガイドさんが作ってくれたインスタントのお味噌汁のおいしかったこと！
また違う季節に行ってみたいです。

I participated with my mother in her 50s. I am very grateful to the guide who was attentive to my mother as she started to fall behind the group's pace and adapted flexibly to lead us to the goal. The guide also provided detailed explanations about the trekking highlights and the flora, allowing us to have a wonderful time that was more than just walking. Thank you very much.

50代の母と参加しました。グループのスピードから遅れ始めた母を気遣いながら臨機応変に対応してゴールまで導いてくださったガイドさんに大感謝です。トレッキングの見所スポットや草花についても詳しく解説していただき、ただ歩くだけではない素晴らしい時間を過ごさせていただきました。本当にありがとうございました。

We participated as a couple in our mid-60s. We met our guide at Uehara Port, received explanations, shoes, and life jackets at the Iriomote Monsoon office, and then moved to the location. We slowly paddled up the mangrove river in a two-person canoe while listening to the guide's instructions, and after reaching the shore, we aimed for the Pinaisara Falls. Along the way, we received explanations about various plants and were continually impressed by the guide's extensive knowledge. We enjoyed swimming under the waterfall and cheered with excitement. After returning to the office, while waiting for the boat, we relaxed in a hammock overlooking the sea and fully enjoyed the nature of Iriomote. I was also greatly attracted to the nature-integrated approach of the Iriomote Monsoon team. I thought that next time, it might be nice to stay here. Thank you to the guide and all the staff.

60歳半ばの夫婦で参加しました。上原港でガイドさんと合流し、西表モンスーンの事務所で説明と靴、ライフジャケットを受け取り、現地に移動。二人乗りのカヌーでマングローブの川をガイドさんの案内を聞きながらゆっくり上り、岸についてからピナイサーラの滝をめざしました。途中、いろいろな草木の説明を受け、草木などガイドさんがよく知っていることについて感心することしきり。滝の下でを水浴び、歓声を上げました。事務所に戻り、船を待つ間、海を眼下に見下ろし、ハンモックにゆられ、西表の自然を満喫できました。西表モンスーンの皆様の自然ととけあった対応にも大変心を惹かれました。次に来るときは、ここに泊まりるのがいいかなと思いました。ガイドさん、スタッフの皆さん、ありがとうございました。

It was my first solo trip and trekking! I was anxious when I heard it would take 10 hours round trip, but the guide helped by taking breaks at appropriate times and teaching us tips for walking in the mountains. Also, the explanations about the plants and animals along the way were interesting. Personally, while the Jomon Sugi was amazing, the Yakusugi that had been touched and the riverside where we took a break were incredibly beautiful, and I was moved! I had a great time! 初めてのひとり旅&トレッキングでした！
往復10時間と聞いて、不安でしたが、ガイドの方が適宜休憩をとってくださったり、山歩きのコツを教えてくださったりして助かりました。
また、道中の動植物の説明もしていただいておもしろかったです。
個人的には、縄文杉もすごかったけど、触られスギな屋久杉や休憩した川辺もすごくきれいで、感動しました！

I'm a beginner in mountain climbing and participated with a friend. It was a tight three-day travel schedule, but since we were going, I wanted to see both Jomon Sugi and Shiratani Unsuikyo, so I signed up for this ambitious course!

First of all... I think some preparation is definitely necessary. Before the trip, I climbed a few mountains in the Tokyo area to check my climbing skills. Since it's a 12-hour walking course, it's better to buy shoes that fit your feet rather than renting them. No matter how fit you are, if you get blisters, you won't be able to walk.

If you take care of your health and prepare well, the guides, who are fun and full of service spirit, will surely provide a wonderful tour! Although we couldn't see the mountain views from Taiko Rock because it was covered in white clouds, we still had a great time. Even the long and challenging paths were enjoyable thanks to the guides' stories and games.

Even if it's not a one-day tour, I definitely recommend using this tour company! I'm sure you'll create wonderful memories. The next day I had muscle soreness, but it became a very good memory. Thank you, Tsugimura-san. I have come to love the mountains even more!

登山初心者です。友人と一緒に参加しました。
弾丸3日間の旅行日程でしたが、せっかく行くなら縄文杉&白谷雲水峡のどっちも見たい‼︎と思い、この欲張りコースに申込みさせて頂きました☆

まず始めに…。
やっぱり多少の事前準備は必要だと思います。私は出発までに東京近郊の山で何回か登山をして自分の登山スキルを確認しました。あと12時間も歩くコースなので、シューズはレンタルより自分の足に合うものを買うべきです。どんなに体力があっても靴擦れしたら歩けなくなってしまいます。
あとは体調を整えて挑めば、楽しくてサービス精神に溢れたガイドさんが、きっと素敵なツアーを催行してくれます！
太鼓岩は真っ白な雲に覆われて山々の景色を見れませんでしたが、そんな時でも楽しませて頂きました。長くて大変な道もガイドさんの話やゲームで楽しく歩けました。
1日ツアーでなくても、ぜひこちらのツアー会社を使ってみて下さい！きっと素敵な想い出ができると思います。
翌日は筋肉痛でしたが、とても良い想い出になりました。

I have visited Okinawa many times, but I had never been to Cape Hedo, the northernmost point. Thinking it would be tough to drive there by rental car, I took a day trip sightseeing bus. The weather forecast for the day wasn't very promising, but we were blessed with good weather at Cape Hedo and Daishi Forest Mountain. I stood at Cape Hedo, which I had seen several times from the airplane, overlooking the beautiful sea and the four legendary mountains. There were four courses at Daishi Forest Mountain, and I encouraged my wife to join me as we walked two of them within the time allotted by the sightseeing bus. My imagination was sparked by the various shapes of the rocks, and I thought about wanting to get naming rights for some of them. At the end of the course, I discovered mulberries. They were larger and sweeter than those from Aomori. I devoured them, staining my hands and lips purple. I made delicious memories at Daishi Forest Mountain.

沖縄は何度も訪れているが、本当北端の辺戸岬はまだだった。レンタカーで北端まで行くのもつらいと思い、日帰り観光バスに乗車。当日の天候予想はあまりよくなかったのだが、辺戸岬と大石林山は天気に恵まれた。何度か飛行機から見えた辺戸岬に立つ。美しい海と四つの伝説の山を望む。大石林山には四つのコースがあったが、妻にも頑張ってもらい、観光バスの与えられた時間内で二つを歩いた。色々な形の岩に想像力が働いて、ネーミングと命名権をゲットしたいと思うものもあった。コースの終端にクワの実発見。青森のものより実が大きく甘い。手と唇をムラサキにして夢中でほおばった。大石林山で美味しい思い出ができました。

The weather was nice, and the guide was cheerful, making it a fun memory.

The weather was great, and the view from Cape Hedo was wonderful.
At Oishi Forest Park, I was able to explore two courses in one hour.
I was moved by the Gajumaru tree at the Okinawa World.
The aquarium was quite crowded even on a weekday, but I was able to see the dolphin show and the feeding of the whale shark.
I was able to tour very efficiently, and I was extremely satisfied!

天気がよく、辺戸岬の見張らしが素晴らしかったです。
大石林山は、一時間で2コース回れました。
御願ガジュマルに感動しました。
水族館は、平日にも関わらず、人がたくさんいましたが、イルカのショー、ジンベイザメの餌やりも見れました。
とても効率よく観光できて、大満足でした‼

Since I participated from America, it was difficult to make phone calls the day before, but the guide was kind and helpful. I contacted them in advance, and they informed me about the pick-up time at my accommodation. The guide also came directly to the lodging, so I was able to participate in the tour with peace of mind on the day. Thank you very much.
The hike at Taiko Rock was wonderful with clear weather.

アメリカから参加したため、前日の電話連絡等がとりにくく難儀しましたが、ガイドさんが親切で助かりました。　とりあえず事前にこちらから連絡しましたところ宿泊先に迎えの時間について連絡をいただき、またガイドさんも直接宿泊施設に来ていただいたりしたので、当日は安心してツアーに参加することができました。　どうもありがとうございました。
太鼓岩も快晴で素晴らしいハイクとなりました。　

I had no experience with trekking or mountain climbing, but I participated in this tour. On April 14, when I joined, it was raining heavily, and unfortunately, the view from Taiko Rock wasn't very clear, but we were able to go there.

Since I was inexperienced, I was worried about my physical strength, but I managed to endure it.

The guide was very kind and even served us miso soup for lunch.

There are no other tours that take you to both Jomon Sugi and Shiratani Unsuikyo in one day, but I definitely think it's better to do it in one day.

However, I regret not preparing lightweight and quick-drying clothing (°_°).

トレッキングや登山未経験でしたが、こちらのツアーに参加しました。参加した4月14日はすごく雨が降っていて、太鼓岩の景色は残念ながらあまり綺麗に見えませんでしたが、行くことはできました。
未経験なので、体力にも不安がありましたが、耐えられました。

ガイドさんはとても親切で、お昼にお味噌汁も出してくださりました。

縄文杉と白谷雲水峡の両方を 1日で行くツアーは他にありませんが、1日で行く方が絶対良いと思いました。

ただ、服装は軽くて速乾の物を準備すれば良かったと後悔しました(°_°)

I really wanted to go to Taiko Rock, but since I hiked Jomon Sugi the day before, I ended up on a half-day tour. That's the only regret I have. The guide was fun and made the experience easy. I hope to challenge Taiko Rock again next year.

When you order a tour through a travel agency, you get grouped with other people, but if you order directly online here, it seems like they take you in smaller groups. It was very good.

本当は太鼓岩まで行きたかったのですが、前日縄文杉登山をしたので時間的に半日で終わるツアーになってしまいた。これだけが残念で心残りです。ガイドさんも楽しく難なく行って来れました。また来年にでも太鼓岩に挑戦したいと思います。
旅行社でツアーをオーダーすると他の人と纏められてしまいますが直接コチラにネットオーダーすると少人数で行ってくれるみたいです。とても良かったです。

I was worried about whether I could manage 22 km from 4:30 AM until the evening, but the guide took breaks as needed and taught us stretches, so I was able to return feeling better than I expected. I was also fortunate with the weather. However, there was someone in the middle of the line who frequently fell, and I got tired from stopping right behind them, so I think it would have gone more smoothly if the guide had walked right behind them to help. I really appreciated that they took photos for us, but I was disappointed that the pictures didn't turn out very well. When I asked for a retake, they only took pictures of the scenery and didn't include me, which was quite disappointing. Overall, I’m satisfied that I returned safely. Thank you very much.

朝4：30集合で夕方まで22kmを乗り切れるか心配でしたが、ガイドさんが適宜休憩を取ったり、ストレッチを教えてくださったので、思っていたよりも元気に戻ることができました。天気にも恵まれてよかったです。ただ、列の真ん中によく転ぶ方がいらして、その真後ろで止まったりして疲れてしまったので、できればガイドさんが気を利かしてガイドさんの直後を歩いてくださるようにしてくれれば、もっとスムーズに行ったのではないかな、と思います。写真を撮ってくださるのもとてもありがたかったですが、写真があまり上手に撮れていなくて、撮りなおしてもらおうとしたら、景色だけを撮って、私を入れてくれなかったのでとてもがっかりしました。全般的には無事に帰れて満足です。どうもありがとうございました。
