I was very glad to rent everything. I received beautiful and cute items. I think proper gear is essential for first-time mountain climbers.

However, even though I arranged for the rental items to be sent directly to the hotel (with shipping paid), they had not arrived by the day before the climb, and they still hadn't arrived by 8:00 PM on the day of the climb. I caused some worry for the hotel staff, but around 9:00 PM, a staff member brought them directly to me. I wonder about this, especially since I paid for shipping. I think the items should arrive the day before so that I can go to bed early.

As for the guide, I have no complaints. They taught us a lot of interesting facts, including the names of various trees and mountains. Thanks to that, the monotonous journey felt like it passed quickly.

ただ、レンタル品をホテルに直送(送料支払い)にしたのに登山前日にも関わらず届いておらず、結局当日20：00過ぎても届きませんでした。ホテルの方にも心配かけてお騒がせしてしまいましたが、21:00ごろスタッフの方が直接持ってこられました。送料払っているのにこれはどうなのかな、と思います。早めに就寝もしたいので前日には届くべきかと思います。
ガイドに関しては文句なしです。様々な豆知識や木や山の名前等たくさん教えていただきました。そのおかけで単調な道のりもあっという間に過ぎた気がします。
登頂？できるか不安で貸切にしましたが、それもよかったです。自由に立ち止まったり寄り道したりと楽しかったです。
終始雨も降らず天候がかなり良かったせいもありますが、苦しい道のりではなかったです。雨だと少し足元が怖いかもしれません。

I started walking around 6:00 and returned to the bus around 16:30. This time, we had a group with one guide for every four people. We used this service with our family during Golden Week. We were blessed with good weather. Even though the humidity was high, the climate was comfortable.

The five-hour trek in Shiratani allowed us to enjoy various landscapes, making it a completely engaging experience. The guide provided excellent explanations about the trees, birds, and flowers, and took truly dynamic photos, which made it a lot of fun. ・滞在時間として言われた時間より10分も早く出発することがあり、信用できないと感じた。
・参加者を評価するような発言も多く、競いに来たわけでもないのに不愉快だった（このチームは他と比べて速い、遅いや、参加者の体型が云々など）。
・登山開始前に準備運動がない。登山初心者も参加するため、事前に運動やガイドが欲しかった。

Yakushima is said to have 35 days of rain in a month, but on the day of our trekking, we were blessed with clear skies and could fully enjoy the great outdoors. As a couple in our late 50s who are usually not very active, we had some concerns, but thanks to the veteran guide's time management and the enjoyable conversations with the other four members of our group, we had a pleasant trekking experience without any troubles.

Looking up from the Wilson stump, we saw a heart-shaped view with a beautiful blue sky behind it. When I saw the yellow sign with the number 50, I felt an indescribable joy, and shortly after, the appearance of the Jomon Sugi was truly moving.

It was probably the day I walked the most in my life, exceeding 40,000 steps, and it turned out to be an unforgettable day. Thank you very much.

This was my first trip to Yakushima.

First of all, I appreciated the reminder phone calls three days before and the day before the trip, which gave me a sense of reassurance. (I thought it would be even better if email communication was also an option since I was at work.)

On the day of the trip, I had some anxiety because it was early in the morning, but the transportation was on time and comfortable. The tour itself was conducted in small groups of about seven people, which made it very pleasant.

Especially since the pace was well thought out, I believe that having a guide is essential for beginners. It was a highly satisfying tour that I would definitely recommend.

I'm glad I participated in this tour. There were couples and solo participants as well. I've been to Okinawa several times, but I wanted to visit places I hadn't been to yet... The lunch was impressively delicious, and the scenery at the cape was wonderful. I really liked Daishi Forest Mountain. It was about a 30-minute course, but it was quite satisfying. It was unusually clear in Yakushima, and our guide mentioned that it was the best day of the year. I had a more enjoyable round trip than I had imagined. Of course, the good weather helped me conserve my energy and spirit, but I believe the main reason was the brightness of our guide and everyone I walked with. It's hard to say since it's all about luck, but the members you walk with are important.

屋久島では珍しくピーカンで、ガイドさんから1年で1番いい日というお言葉をいただきました。
想像していたより楽しく往復できました。もちろん天気がよかったので体力気力を削られなかったというのもあると思いますが、1番はガイドさんと、一緒に歩いた皆さんの明るさのおかげだと思います。
運なのでなんとも言えませんが、一緒に歩くメンバーは大事です。

I went on a guided tour around Shiretoko Five Lakes in late April. You can rent rubber boots, making it easy to walk around the lakes without getting soaked, even if you're coming from the Kansai or Kanto regions. The park opened on April 21, and the elevated wooden path can be walked freely without a guide. However, on days with unfavorable weather, there are lectures at the nearby field house, and if you're not familiar with the area, you won't be allowed to walk close to each lake without a guide. I recommend that first-time visitors join a tour with a guide, as they are professionals who know Shiretoko well and provide plenty of valuable information. The lakes may still have ice and snow until around Golden Week, so if you're not coming to see the snowy scenery, visiting between August and October might be more advisable. Just keep in mind that the true master of Shiretoko is not humans but the brown bears, so if even one bear appears during the tour, all tours at Shiretoko Five Lakes for that day will be canceled for everyone, so please be cautious.

４月下旬に知床五湖を周るガイドツアーへ行ってきました．長靴もレンタルでき関西・関東方面からでもずぶぬれにならずに湖の周りをラクにまわれます．４月２１日開園で高架木道はガイドさんなしでも自由に散歩できます．が天候のよろしくない日も含めて地上遊歩道は近くのフィールドハウス内でレクチャーがあり，慣れてない方のばあいガイドさんなしでは散策の認定又は許可がおりず各湖のそばまで散歩できません．初めて行かれる方はガイドさんとツアーでまわられることをお勧めします．知床をよく知ってるプロの方々なのでお得な情報満載です．ゴールデンウィークあたりまで湖は氷面で積雪してる場合がありますので，雪景色を見に来られたのでなければ，８月から１０月の間がおススメかもしれません．ただ知床の主はあくまでも人間でなくヒグマなのでツアー中にヒグマが一匹でも出没すれば，他のツアーの方々も含め，その日は知床五湖のツアー全て全員中止になりますのでご注意ください．
