I participated in December. I was looking forward to seeing the coconut crabs, so it was disappointing that I couldn't see the stars, but I really enjoyed the night tour since I don't often get the chance to go on one. It was a lot of fun to learn about other creatures and plants, as well as the stories from our guide about Ishigaki Island, even during the car rides!
I'll come back for a rematch during the new moon in summer! I'm glad I was able to rent rubber boots!

Unfortunately, due to the thick clouds after the typhoon, we couldn't see the starry sky, but we were able to spot many wild creatures. Although I couldn't capture them in photos, I saw an eel, a purple crab, a striped snake, and a long-legged spider. There were some difficult spots where we had to climb, but it reminded me of my childhood and was a lot of fun.

I originally wanted to see the starry sky and was looking for a tour. However, I was drawn in by the "photo of the coconut crab" and signed up for the night tour of the sea and jungle. I was very satisfied with the guide's attentive service, the enjoyable stories, and the chance to see the coconut crab, as well as witnessing the emergence of cicadas. As we ventured through the jungle searching for coconut crabs and wildlife, we were greeted by an unbelievably beautiful starry sky.
If you come to Ishigaki Island, this is an experience you absolutely must have.
It's incredible to be able to have such an experience at this price.
Also, the stories and personalities of the staff are one of the highlights of this tour.
Throughout the tour, the atmosphere was relaxed, allowing us to immerse ourselves in nature without any tension.

It's completely dark without light. It's scary to go without a tour. The starry sky is incredibly beautiful, and as you look at it, your eyes adjust and you start to see more and more stars. I was able to see the Milky Way and shooting stars as well. I almost gave up on seeing the coconut crab, but the guide worked hard and I was able to see it. On top of that, I also saw fireflies. I was very satisfied.

It was a tour that allowed us to fully enjoy the natural beauty of Ishigaki Island at night. As we walked through the forest, our guide carefully found and explained each creature, making it very easy to understand and allowing us to enjoy the experience with peace of mind. Along the way, we were able to observe creatures we don't usually see, such as scorpions, coconut crabs, and hermit crabs, which was truly a valuable experience. On my first trip to Shiretoko, I wanted to make the most of the opportunity, so I joined this tour (the Great Loop). The tour was very fulfilling as I learned various things about Shiretoko's history, geography, and flora and fauna. I felt a bit nervous when I was shown the fresh bear claw marks and feeding grounds, but I was able to walk for three hours with peace of mind alongside an experienced guide. While many people seem to walk without a guide, I was able to fully enjoy the great nature of Shiretoko that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise!

知床の歴史、地理、動植物などさまざまなことを教わりながらのツアーは大変充実したものでした。
まだ新しいヒグマのツメ跡やエサ場を教えてもらった時は少しドキドキしましたが
経験豊富なガイドさんといっしょなので安心して３時間歩くことができました。
ガイド無しで歩くかたも多いようですが、それでは気付けない知床の大自然を満喫できました！

The service provided by staff member Sakurai was very pleasant, and I believe everyone on the tour was able to enjoy themselves both on the way there and back. Unfortunately, the weather was not great, so we couldn't see many stars, but the additional explanations were very clear and helpful. Furthermore, it was a valuable and wonderful experience to actually see a very large coconut crab.

The guide's talk and the tour content were exciting for both adults and children throughout. Although the weather was a bit uncertain regarding the coconut crabs, my son, who loves animals, was on a birthday trip, so we didn't give up. There were no sudden currents, and the flow was calm throughout. The first half felt very much like Hokkaido with its spaciousness, while the second half maintained a gentle flow but the river narrowed, giving a sense of wandering through a jungle. It was very enjoyable!

It was a natural starry sky that you can't see in the mainland! I was able to see a few shooting stars, which became the best memory. The night tour felt like an adventure in the jungle and brought me back to my childhood! I want to participate again!

After gathering, I felt a thrill just heading north on the pitch-black road. Our guide, Ryoma, confidently said, "I can't guarantee you'll see the stars since it's up to nature, but I will definitely show you the coconut crabs!" He was quite impressive. The search for coconut crabs turned into an exciting exploration of the dark forest for the kids. Of course, the adults were excited too. Surprisingly, we couldn't find the coconut crabs for a while, and while we were looking at the stars, Ryoma got hurt while searching for them. My sons seemed to be inspired by Ryoma's adventurous spirit and charming stories, and they said it was incredibly fun when we got back. Thank you for the wonderful memories!
集合後、真っ暗な道を北上するだけでドキドキしました。ガイドのりょーまさんが『星空は自然相手なので見える保証はできないけど、ヤシガニは僕が100パーセント見せます！』と言いきってて男前でした。ヤシガニ探しも闇夜の森の探検で子供達大興奮。もちろん大人も。意外にもなかなかヤシガニがみつからなくて、私たちが星空を見ている間に身体に怪我を負いながら探してきてくれました。ほんとやんちゃで冒険心のある素敵なりょーまさんのお話や一挙手一投足に息子たちも刺激をもらったようで、サイコーにたのしかった！と帰ってから言ってました。よい想い出をありがとうございました。

Jiro, our guide, took us on a night tour. We were able to see coconut crabs and a beautiful starry sky. Seeing the coconut crabs in person was impressive; they were very large, and I was shocked when he told us that there are even bigger ones. The starry sky was also stunning. It was beautiful even with the moonlight, but I heard that it would be even better during a new moon or when the moon hasn't risen, so I thought I would like to try it again somewhere else.

ヤシガニと綺麗な星空を観ることが出来ました。生で見るヤシガニは迫力がありとても大きかったですが、これより大きいサイズもいるんだよと教えてくれた時には度肝抜かれました、、星空も満点でした。月明かりがあっても綺麗でしたが、新月や月が昇ってないタイミングだともっと見れると聞き、またどこかでトライしてみたいなと思いました。

Entering the pitch-black jungle can be daunting since you never know what might come out, but I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience this tour. Since it's wildlife we're dealing with, it depends on luck, but it seems we were fortunate to see an owl and a turtle this time. The guide was able to spot and introduce creatures that I likely wouldn't have found on my own. The moon was out, and perhaps due to its position, we could see quite a few stars. However, it seemed a bit challenging to capture the beautiful starry sky in photos. The two guide brothers were friendly, and it seemed like they were enjoying themselves as well, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
真っ暗なジャングルの中に入っていくのは何が出てくるかわからないし、躊躇してしまいますが、このようなツアーで体験できてよかったです。
野生生物が相手なので運によりますが、今回はフクロウ、カメなどが見れて当たりだったようです。自分では見つけられないであろう生き物をガイドさんが見つけて紹介してくれました。
月が出ていましたが、位置が良かったのかまぁまぁ星は見れました。
星空はきれいに写真に残すのは少し難しそうでした。
ガイドのお兄さん二人がフレンドリーな方で、ガイドさん自身も楽しんでいるようで、楽しめました。

The reason for joining the tour was simply to see the "coconut crab." I was very satisfied to see both juvenile and adult coconut crabs. It was a very precious experience that reminded me of my childhood as an adult. In the end, I was able to see a lot of stars in the night sky, which made me very happy. We participated as a family of four.
It took about 40 minutes to reach our destination from the meeting point.
We were lent flashlights and rubber boots, and we explored the jungle. Perhaps because it had just rained, we saw many creatures, including coconut crabs.
We reached the coast, where we could see the starry sky and even spotted shooting stars.

集合場所から40分ほどで、目的地に到着。
