It's something that can't be helped since it's a natural occurrence. The tide was high, so Barasu Island wasn't accessible, and we switched to a different half-day course. That said, exploring the limestone caves and stand-up paddleboarding in the mangrove forest was enjoyable.

We had a great time experiencing stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) while almost falling into the mangroves with four people! Chad's friendly guidance made it very enjoyable! The snorkeling was the best I've ever seen, with beautiful fish. The coral was also stunning, and I was so happy to see the clownfish! We were able to do so many activities in just one day!

We had our first SUP experience with three women. The guide taught us carefully. It looked difficult, but it was really easy, and everyone quickly got the hang of it, enjoying the mangroves to the fullest!
During snorkeling, we even got to see a sea turtle! However, for those who are prone to motion sickness, I recommend taking anti-nausea medication in advance.

Originally, it was a tour to land on Baras Island, but I was informed the day before that it couldn't happen due to the tides. It was disappointing, but the tour company's response was good. I changed to a canoeing and canyoning tour, and I was able to fully enjoy nature, with our guide Chad really making it fun. I recommend it for creating enjoyable memories.

残念でしたが、ツアー会社の対応はよかったです。
カヌーとキャニオニングのツアーに変更しましたが、自然を満喫でき、ガイドのチャドさんも盛り上げてくれました。

Majestic nature tour!! 壮大な大自然ツアー！！

I participated in a cave and canoe tour! We visited three caves, but the last one was particularly exciting as we had to navigate through a very narrow passage that was almost horizontal! The canoeing was the most fun part of this trip; while paddling in sync with my companions amidst breathtaking scenery, we also ended up crashing into the mangroves, making it a thrilling adventure! I highly recommend it if you come to Iriomote Island!
鍾乳洞とカヌーに参加しました！
鍾乳洞は3箇所回りましたが、特に最後の鍾乳洞はほぼ横ばいになるくらい狭いところを通ってエクサイティングでした！
カヌーは今回の旅行で一番楽しくて、絶景の中同伴者と息を合わせながら漕ぎつつも、マングローブに突っ込んでしまったりと、ハラハラドキドキのツアーでした！！

We went as a family of three! The mangrove canoeing, limestone cave trekking, and Barasu Island were all more breathtaking and moving than we imagined. The tour guide was incredibly kind and easy to talk to. Our 7-year-old child was excited and enjoyed the adventure! If you go to Iriomote Island, this is definitely a must-do! I also hope to bring my mother next time. Thank you very much!

I was able to enjoy a packed itinerary efficiently. My 65-year-old parents also participated, and our guide, Komatsu, was very kind in explaining and supporting us, so there were no issues at all! I made the reservation just after 7 PM the day before, but they handled it smoothly, which was really great!

Thank you for accommodating us despite the last-minute reservation! The mangrove SUP was fantastic, with the guide's thorough explanations about various creatures, plants, and the unique species of Iriomote Island.
During the afternoon snorkeling at Barasu Island, we were blessed with great weather and enjoyed observing various fish species, including Nemo (clownfish), in the highly transparent coral reefs.
For those who will be participating, I highly recommend both activities when visiting Ishigaki Island and Iriomote Island! It's enjoyable for couples, seniors, and families with children. Also, it's best to bring minimal luggage! The guide will take plenty of photos, and being light on your feet makes the experience even more enjoyable.
I look forward to the next opportunity!

I paddled through the mangroves on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP). As a beginner, I learned how to use the SUP and some tips, and it was challenging yet very enjoyable to avoid trees and navigate the winding shallow river. The scenery along the way was also wonderful. There was a rain shower, and I got soaked, but it was a great experience that felt very much like Iriomote Island. The view of the waterfall was stunning as well. Since I got completely drenched, I thought a waterproof camera or phone would be necessary.
I didn't go snorkeling at Barasu Island, but I was lucky enough to see a sea turtle swimming from the boat! The limestone cave was more rugged than I expected and very impressive. It had a completely different atmosphere compared to the caves I've visited before. It was a valuable experience.
I also took many beautiful photos, which became great memories! Thank you very much.
マングローブはSUPで漕ぎ進めながら行きました。初心者の私はSUPのやり方やコツを教わり木を避けたりくねくねした浅瀬の川コントロールするのが難しくもありとても楽しかったです。道中の風景も素晴らしかったです。スコールもあり、途中びしょびしょになりましたがまたそれも西表島らしく良い経験でした。滝の景色も素晴らしいです。全身びしょ濡れになるので、防水仕様のカメラや携帯が必要だと思いました。バラス島はシュノーケル しませんでしたが、たまたま船上から海ガメが泳いでる姿が見えてとてもラッキーでした！
鍾乳洞は思ってたより道が険しくて、迫力満点でした。今まで行った観光地の鍾乳洞と全然違う雰囲気です。貴重な体験できました。
綺麗な写真もたくさん撮っていただき良い思い出になりました！

This was my first time booking a tour here. There was a problem with the shower facilities, and I still have some questions about the person who handled the phone call, but other staff members responded quickly, and I was able to take a shower without any issues. The staff who accompanied us were young, energetic, polite, and great at communicating, which made our time in the car and at the location enjoyable. They took many photos, creating wonderful memories. Initially, I wanted to join a stand-up paddleboarding tour, but it was canceled due to strong winds, so I plan to request a redo with this tour. I look forward to that time and to reuniting with the staff who accompanied us.
今回初めてこちらでツアーの申し込みをしました。利用するシャワーの件でトラブルがありました、電話対応された方への疑問は残りますが他のスタッフの方が迅速に対応して頂き無事シャワーを浴びる事が出来ました。記載されている内容が違うとスケジュールが狂い困ります、内容確認は徹底してもらいたいです。

The guide provided a clear and concise lecture in advance, focusing on the key points. Because it was streamlined, it was easier to remember.
At first, I felt a bit anxious as we weren't making much progress, but at one point, I was able to make significant improvements thanks to a sudden realization.
Standing up from a seated position was nerve-wracking, but I thought that anyone could do it with a bit of courage.
Along the way, we were able to see a lot of mangroves, which is unique to Ishigaki.
I was surprised and grateful that nearly 60 photos were taken of just us without us even noticing!

I had a valuable experience at the Blue Cave, where I was able to take photos that I normally wouldn't be able to capture. I was also overwhelmed by the greatness of nature when I saw the stalactite cave, and I learned about environmental issues by noticing the trash around.
Even though I'm not a strong swimmer, I had a great time snorkeling thanks to the thorough assistance and guidance provided.
I felt it was a recommended tour.

As a beginner in stand-up paddleboarding, I received clear instructions and guidance. It felt wonderful to leisurely glide through the calm mangrove forest. The guide also provided explanations about the plants along the way, which made the experience very enjoyable.
During snorkeling, I was able to fully appreciate the beautiful underwater world of the coral reefs. Although the sandbars were submerged, I was glad I managed to make it ashore. I was moved by the endless horizon.
The guide took many great photos and sent them to me right away. I'm really glad I participated in this tour!

In the morning, I did SUP at Miyara River, and in the afternoon, I explored the Blue Cave and went snorkeling. It was my first time doing SUP, and I fell off several times, panicking a bit. Plus, I got extremely seasick and felt groggy, but a kind female guide helped me by towing me along. She also took a lot of photos, creating wonderful memories. We had a two-hour lunch break, so I relaxed at the hotel to recover. The Blue Cave is usually crowded and you get rushed, but on this day, we enjoyed it almost privately. The guide was knowledgeable and provided detailed explanations, which were truly surprising. The snorkeling that followed allowed us to enjoy a beautiful world of coral and colorful fish. I got seasick again here, but the guide pulled me along with a float, which helped. On the way back, she recommended some restaurants, which was also a great help. I am very grateful.

It's full of adventure.
We moved along the river on a SUP, soaking in plenty of negative ions as we passed through the forest, stopping to take photos with rare plants along the way to the Lucky Falls. Taking pictures while being splashed by the falls was a precious experience.
Exploring the limestone cave is probably an experience you can only have here. There are no entrances or signs, and we relied solely on our guide to navigate. We went through areas where locals might forage for wild vegetables, with no clear paths. I don't think there are many limestone caves where you have to crouch or crawl to get through.
Bara Island offers a 360-degree view of the ocean. Plus, the water is crystal clear! There were hardly any other guests, so it felt almost private. The weather was great too!

Choosing this tour on Ishigaki Island was definitely the right decision! On the day of the tour, strong winds made canoeing at Kabira Bay difficult, so we switched to the mangroves of Miyara River, which was also incredibly fun. We even got to enjoy lunch at Kabira Bay, which was a real treat. Snorkeling and the Blue Cave were enjoyable as well, and by the evening, we received nearly 200 photos (all for free!) that became great conversation starters during dinner. To top it off, we were introduced to some delicious restaurants that aren't often featured in guidebooks, making it the best day ever. Thank you so much to our guides, Furuta and Diego!

I had a great day from morning to evening with a packed itinerary including the Lucky Waterfall, the Phantom Island, and a limestone cave. The tour guide took many wonderful photos for us, creating great memories. This is a highly recommended tour to fully enjoy Iriomote Island in just one day!
朝から夕方までsup→幸運の滝→幻の島→鍾乳洞ともりだくさんで、1日楽しめました。

It was my first time on Iriomote Island, and it was a tour packed with content that left me very satisfied! I was a beginner at SUP, but I quickly got the hang of it and enjoyed paddling slowly while taking in the mangroves and spotting wildlife. The cave exploration was also quite different from the caves I had visited before; it was a very authentic adventure. We progressed through the dark cave tunnels while crouching low with headlamps, and we even navigated through some pretty deep water, which was thrilling for adults as well.
The guide took many wonderful photos, making it a memorable day! I would love to participate again if I have the chance, and next time I want to try snorkeling or diving in the beautiful sea.
初めての西表島でしたが、内容盛り沢山で大満足のツアーでした！SUPは初心者でしたがすぐに慣れて、ゆっくり漕ぎながらマングローブを見たり野生の生物を見つけたりと楽しく自然を満喫できました。鍾乳洞探検も、これまで何回か鍾乳洞は見学したことがありますが、今までのものと全然違い、かなり本格的な探検で、ヘッドライトをつけて暗い鍾乳洞のトンネルを低くしゃがみながら進んだり、水も結構深いところを進んでいったりして大人でも凄くワクワクできる内容でした。
ガイドさんが素敵な写真を沢山撮ってくださるので、思い出に残る1日になりました！また機会があればぜひ参加したいですし今度は綺麗な海でシュノーケリングかダイビングもしてみたいです。

I would like to give a perfect score to the guide, who was truly kind.
The tour without snorkeling should be very enjoyable for those who love jungles.
The attention to detail was exceptional.
You can see rare flowers, unusual plants, and unique geological layers. I recommend it for those who enjoy trekking.
On the other hand, if you look at the photos of the sea and participate with that image in mind, the course without snorkeling focuses mainly on the jungle, with the sea being just an addition.
Moreover, you won't see the scenery like in the photos unless the conditions are perfect. (The sea itself is clear.)
The guide generally knows in advance whether the best views can be seen, so I think it's a good idea to ask about the conditions before deciding.
After the tour, due to reduced services from COVID-19, you will spend nearly two hours at the terminal.
It will also cost about 4,000 yen for the transfer to the island, including pick-up.
During the season, it becomes an expensive optional tour costing 24,000 yen per person, and if the reduced services continue, you will also lose two hours.

I made a request in early June.
As someone who is "participating alone," "a first-time snorkeler," and "usually indoors with no stamina," I’m really glad I chose this tour.
Thank you very much to the staff, Diego and Furuta.
Highlights:
★ The ability to act independently during the day...
I snorkeled in the morning and went kayaking in the afternoon.
During lunch, I had the freedom to eat and sightsee as I pleased. I was satisfied to spend elegant time on the white beach of Kabira Bay, feeling fulfilled and balanced.
★ They sent me tour photos later
I thought I wouldn't need any photos since I was alone, and I even told the guide that. However, when I received the data from the guide via LINE later, I was unexpectedly moved.
The distant shots of me that I could never capture in selfies, the underwater scenes with fish... The numerous postcard-like images brought back memories of that day's sunshine and warm seawater.
★ Transportation
I saved a lot of time and energy.
During the ride, I also received local recommendations and valuable information. I thought I could find everything online, but it really is different.
★ The guide's skill level
I was anxious about the poor footing while walking from the rocky area to the snorkeling point.
The guide offered to carry my belongings and take my hand. At first, I felt bad and declined, but once I accepted, I was able to walk with peace of mind. When we returned from the sea to the car, I was handed a water bottle, which helped wash off the sand from my feet, making it comfortable.
Additionally, during snorkeling, there were guides both in front and behind me, which made me feel secure. They provided flotation devices, allowing me to rest if I got tired while snorkeling, which was well thought out.
In the afternoon kayaking, they encouraged me to take a break if I got tired. Overall, I was able to enjoy everything at my own pace.
I would definitely like to use this tour service again.

「女１人参加」「シュノーケル初めて」「普段はインドア・体力無い」な私ですが、こちらにお願いして本当によかったです。
スタッフのジエゴさん、フルタさん、本当にありがとうございました。
特に良かった点
★昼は単独行動できること…
午前にシュノーケル、午後にカヌー。
昼は、自由に食事や観光。
川平湾の白い浜辺で、優雅な自分だけの時間を過ごせて満足です。メリハリがあり充実感があります。
★ツアー画像を後日送ってくれたこと
１人だし画像なんか特にはいらないし…と思い、ガイドさんにもその旨伝えていましたが。ですが後日、ガイドさんからLINE送信いただいたデータを見て不覚にもジーンとなりました。
自撮りでは絶対とれない遠景の自分、海底とサカナの様子。絵ハガキみたいなデータの数々…見ただけであの日の陽差しと暖かい海水が思い浮かびました。
★送迎
時間と体力が大きく温存できました。
また走行中に、地元のナマのお奨めや貴重な情報も伺えました。今はネットで分かるしいいや～と思っていたのですが、やっぱり違いますね。
★ガイドさんの練度
岩場からシュノーケルポイントまで歩く際、足場が悪く不安でした。
ガイドさんが荷物を持ち、手を引いてくださると声を掛けてくれました。最初は悪いと思って断りましたが、お願いしたら安心して歩けました。また海から車に戻った際、水の入ったペットボトルを渡されました。砂まみれの足から砂がキレイに落とせ快適。
その他、シュノーケル中、前後にそれぞれガイドさんがいたので安心でした。また浮き具が用意されていて、シュノーケル中に疲れたらつかまって休めたり、よく考えられています。
午後のカヌーも、ごぎ疲れたら休んでもいいです、と言葉を掛けてくださったり。とにかく、自分のペースでゆったり楽しめました。
またぜひ、こちら催行ツアーのお世話になりたいです。

Since it was the right time of year, we participated in a private tour. I felt a bit guilty about it (laughs). I think the guide had a hard time as well.
Although it was an ambitious plan covering the sea, rivers, and forests, I’m glad I chose something that allowed us to enjoy the nature of Iriomote Island.
If I had to say something, I wish snorkeling at Barasu Island had been included.
That beauty makes you want to swim!

The mangroves at Sup, the helmeted visit to the limestone cave, and the private landing on Baras Island were all fantastic, and the guide was wonderful, making for a very satisfying experience. However, it was quite difficult to have to wait for three hours in the port waiting room after the tour.
