I was worried about the weather, but it turned out to be pleasantly sunny, perfect for cycling.

Since it was a weekday, I was the only participant, but they kindly guided me and proceeded at my pace, making it a very comfortable tour experience. They took me to places that I wouldn't have seen otherwise, and it was truly a fulfilling tour. Thank you very much. The guide took a photo of me from behind at the end, but I forgot to have it transferred to my smartphone, which is a shame. There's no way to get in touch, right? (laughs)

Thank you for guiding us through the Hakone Forest Course the other day.

We took several short breaks to match the pace of the children, during which you kindly explained a lot about the nature of Hakone. Thank you for your kindness. We participated as a family of six. We raced through the mountains on mountain bikes and thoroughly enjoyed the deep nature of Hakone under Mr. Kato's insightful commentary. Our youngest, who is in fifth grade and whom I was most worried about (though I wasn't really that worried), ended up leading the way, competing with his older brother and Mr. Suzuki, and had the most fun. The older sisters and mom also enjoyed themselves at their own pace. Next time, I would like to try a different course with the whole family, including our second daughter who couldn't join this time.

Starting from Chitose's Meisui Park, we cycled along a forest trail to Lake Shikotsu. The way there was mostly uphill, and there weren't any notable sights until we reached the lake. We had lunch near the lake and took a detour on the way back through a gravel forest path. The guide wasn't very good at explaining things, so it felt like we were just pedaling the whole time. There were some nice restaurants along the cycling route, so I think the tour could be improved by including more interesting stops, places to have lunch, or introducing beautiful spots to make it more memorable. To summarize, I believe the tour should: 1) include breaks for meals at notable restaurants along the way, 2) stop at must-see sights around Lake Shikotsu, and promote events during specific seasons, such as the salmon run or autumn foliage, which would require considerable effort from the tour organizers.

Full Day Hokkaido Cycling Tour (Chitose/ Shikotsu Course)

Great time cycling!

Jun was a very good tour guide. I had a good time biking from Chitose to Shikotsuko and back. He gave me a choice for which off-road route to take on the way back as well. It was a very nice time. The bike was in great condition and Jun had even brought rain gear for me since it was sprinkling a bit (even though I had my own I wore this too just in case).
