It was a meal plan, but I was so absorbed in the dance and stories that I couldn't eat much. The portion was perfect for lunch and delicious. I will also cherish the gift of the "senjafuda" from the maiko. It was a great opportunity since I don't often get to see them up close. The staff were also very courteous. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the sanitation measures, customer service, and distance from the maiko made me feel safe.

お食事プランでしたが、舞踊やお話を聞くことに夢中になり箸がすすみませんでした。ランチにぴったりのボリュームで美味しく頂きました。
舞妓さんからの千社札のプレゼントも大切にします。身近でみることがなかなかないので良い機会でした。スタッフのみなさまも丁寧な対応をしてくださいました。
コロナ禍、消毒や接客の対応、舞妓さんとの距離など安心でした。

It was quite an experience... I was happy to spend a wonderful time with the maiko, whom I usually can't talk to directly or see up close. Kachiyo's performance was lovely, and the food was delicious as well. My friends were also very pleased.

中々…普段直接お話しや間近で舞を観れない舞妓さんと素敵な時間を過ごせて幸せでした。叶千代さんの舞も素敵でしたがお料理も美味しく頂きました。友人達もとても喜んでました。

It was great that the tour included places that are difficult to access without a car, and with the guide's explanations, we were able to visit efficiently. Additionally, I was very grateful that the guide collected the goshuin for us, which was helpful given our limited time.

I was a bit worried after reading comments about unpleasant dining experiences, but it was nice to see that there were designated seating arrangements for one and two people, and the guide provided assistance, showing that improvements have been made.

There was someone who didn't show up at the meeting point (even though the guide arrived more than 10 minutes early, they said they weren't there and seemed to have gone to the next location on their own), which wasted quite a bit of time, but in the end, we were able to conclude the tour on schedule.

車なしでは行きにくい場所がセットになっており、ガイドさんの説明もあり、効率的見学することができて良かったです。
また、見学中にガイドさんが御朱印を貰ってくれたので時間のない中で非常にありがたかったです。
食事で嫌な思いをしたコメントを読み少し心配でしたが、1人席、2人席と決められていて、ガイドさんが案内もしてくれ、改善されているのも好感が持てました。
途中で集合場所に現れない人が居て（集合時間の10分以上前にはガイドさんは来ていたのに、居なかったと言っていて、次の場所に勝手に行ってしまっていたようです）かなり無駄な時間を使ってしまいましたが、結局は予定通りの時間に解散することができました。

I lived in Kyoto when I was young, and I often return to my hometown, so I had never had the opportunity to see a maiko until this experience. Kyoto is my second hometown that I really love. It was Kanou Chiyo. When I watched her on YouTube, I found out that she is from a place that is only an hour away from where I live. I will support her from afar.

若いころ京都に住んでおり、また現在も故郷に帰り結構京都を訪れることが多く舞妓さんを一回も見る機会がなく今回初めての体験をさせていただきました。

I never thought I could make cut glass myself, so I had a lot of fun feeling like a craftsman. The instructor was very thorough in teaching and even helped with adjustments, making it a memorable cup!

It was truly a great experience!

Since I came all the way from Tokyo to Kyoto, I reserved a front-row seat. I had a great time watching the maiko right in front of me. I received a senjafuda from the maiko and immediately stuck it in my wallet.

It's said that this brings good fortune and money. The dance was charming and delightful.

This was my first time participating. Since it was during the COVID-19 pandemic, I thought I would be watching the performance from a distance, but there was a maiko right in front of me! I was moved by how kindly they responded to my questions and explained the customs. However, I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't participate in the traditional games due to time constraints, and it was a little embarrassing to eat in front of the maiko. Still, I had a wonderful day celebrating our anniversary and was very satisfied.

初めて参加させていただきました。コロナ禍でしたので遠くからの舞台観劇かと思ったら、目の前に舞妓さんが！作法や質問にも丁寧に応えていただき感激しました。ただ、少し残念だったのは、時間の都合でお座敷遊びに参加出来なかったのと、舞妓さんの目の前でご飯を食べるのは恥ずかしかったです。でも、とてもいい夫婦の日を過ごすことができ、大満足しました。

I originally applied for a different day, but due to the current situation and the low number of applicants, I participated on Saturday night as it was scheduled. I was really looking forward to it, so I was happy just to be able to join. The food was delicious, and I had many conversations with the maiko, and the maiko experience was really great!

I hadn't heard that drinks were paid and required one order, so I would have liked that to be mentioned in the plan, as I had to pay at the end after ordering.

There were five participants, including myself, but since I hadn't specified a seat when I made the reservation over the phone, four people sat at the front table, and I ended up sitting alone at the back, two tables away. I had planned to go with a friend, but ended up participating alone. Even if I had gone with a friend, it felt like we had clearly taken a cheaper seat, which made it feel lonely. The host kindly asked if those at the back could hear, but since we were clearly far apart, that consideration felt a bit embarrassing. I wondered why, if there were only five of us, they couldn't at least seat us at the second or third table. Since the front table was fully occupied by five people, I don't think it was just a COVID consideration that I was seated at the very back.

I believe the people at the front table paid more, but if they were going to separate us by two empty tables, I would have appreciated a confirmation over the phone that this would be the seating arrangement.

I enjoyed all the conversations with the maiko, the dance, and the experience. Thank you very much.

元々別の曜日に応募していましたが、このご時世ということで応募者が少ないこともあり、土曜日の夜なら開催予定ということで参加しました。とても楽しみにしていたので、参加できるだけで嬉しかったですし、ご飯も美味しく舞妓さんとの会話もたくさんでき、舞妓遊びの体験もすごくよかったです！
ドリンクが有料でワンオーダー制というのは聞いていなかったので注文してから最後に支払って帰るというのは、できればプランに書いておいてほしかったです。
また、私も含め5人の参加でしたが、事前に予約した時の電話でも席の指定は特にしていなかったためか、一番前の席に4人座っていて、私だけ2テーブル挟んで一番後ろの席に一人でした。友達と行く予定が急遽一人での参加でしたがこれが友達と二人だとしても、明らかに安い席を取ったのだなという感じで、寂しい感じがしました。司会の方に、後ろの方も聞こえてますか？と、配慮をしていただきましたが、明らか離れているのでその配慮も逆に恥ずかしかったです。5人だけしかいないならなぜせめて2つ目か3つ目のテーブルにしてくれないんだろうと思いました。前の席はフルに5人座っていたのでコロナの配慮で私だけ一番後ろの席というわけではなかったと思います。
一番前のテーブルに座ってた方々はもっと高いお金を払われていたのだと思いますが、わざわざ2つの空席のテーブル分も離されるなら、電話で事前にこんな席になりますがいいですかと確認が欲しかったです。
舞妓さんとのお話や舞、体験などは全て楽しめました。ありがとうございました。

I have visited Nara several times for sightseeing, but I had only been to major tourist spots like Nara Park. Since it was a bus tour, I was taken to places I had never been before, and I was really happy to be able to visit many national treasures and other fascinating locations. The autumn weather was pleasant, and the guide's explanations were clear and thorough, making for a wonderfully quick day.

The instructor was a younger man. He spoke mechanically about the necessary things, and I didn't feel any desire to entertain the participants or help them create good works. His teaching style was bland and unkind, making it feel like I was just trying to figure things out on my own. Additionally, I wondered if the instructor lacked skills, as he didn't tailor his teaching to each individual and was just there.

There were times when the rain made me feel gloomy being alone, but the guide led us energetically, turning a day with unmotivating weather into a fulfilling one. The guide was also very easy to understand. The optional meal was a great value at 1,000 yen. This option is definitely worth taking.

I participated because I wanted to celebrate his birthday. Since I was there, I chose a colored glass that I liked; I picked one for 900 yen, and he chose one for 1600 yen. The more expensive glasses started at 300 yen, and there were also free options (colorless). There were many designs to reference, and even though I didn't prepare anything in advance, I felt at ease during the experience because the instructor kindly answered even the smallest questions. The finished piece is a bit crooked since I'm an amateur, but I have grown attached to it and it has become one of my favorites. I definitely want to participate again!

せっかくなので色付きの気に入ったグラスを選び、私は900円、かれは1600円のものを選びました。
お値段のかかるグラスは300円〜で、無料のもの(無色)もありました。

You can create your own Edo Kiriko, a traditional craft! I was excited to participate.
On the day of the experience, there were six of us, including myself.
The instructor explained the cutting techniques and the machine in a clear and thorough manner.
First, we practiced with a practice glass. At first, I was a bit nervous, thinking that if I applied too much pressure or cut too much, it might break. However, as I got used to it, I became bolder in my cutting.
Then came the real thing! I drew the pattern I wanted to carve on the glass in the shape and color I chose, and started cutting. Before I knew it, I felt like a true craftsman.
I concentrated so hard that I wondered when was the last time I focused this much.
The finished glass became a one-of-a-kind piece of traditional craft.

伝統工芸である江戸切子を自ら作ることができる！　ワクワクして参加しました。
当日は私たちを含め６人で体験スタート。
削り方や機械の説明を分かりやすく丁寧に教えてくださりました。
まずは練習用のグラスで体験。あまり力を入れすぎたり削りすぎたりしたら割れてしまうのでは…と、最初はおっかなビックリでしたが、慣れてくると大胆に削ることができるようになりました。
そして本番！自分の選んだ形、色のグラスに削りたい柄を描き込み、削り始めました。いつの間にかすっかり職人気分になっていました。
こんなに集中したのは何年ぶりだろうかと感じるくらい全力で集中しました。
出来上がったグラスはオンリーワンの伝統工芸作品となりました。

After a 30-minute bus ride from the designated hotel, we arrived at the riverside dining area in Kyoto, Takao. The moment we got off the bus, we were in a fantastical place that felt like it could be from "Spirited Away."

The food was already set up, and when we opened the lid, the meat was absolutely amazing! I was so impressed. As we neared the end of our meal, a maiko appeared. After the greetings, she visited each table. Today's maiko was Kimika from Miyakawacho.

After chatting, it was finally time for her to perform, and she danced for us twice. Thank you for this extraordinary experience.

It was my first time renting a yukata, and it was great! First, you choose your yukata, and there were so many varieties that anyone can find one they like. It was easy to see since they were organized by color. The staff waited a little distance away until I approached them, so I could take my time to look around. After deciding on the yukata, I selected an obi with the help of the staff. There were many obis available, and to help capture the right atmosphere, the staff would hold the obi against the yukata based on color and pattern. Once the yukata and obi were chosen, it was time for dressing. They dressed me in no time. Each time they tightened the obi or cords, they asked, "Is this okay?" which was considerate of them. There were several types of geta available as well. Afterward, they styled my hair for 100 yen. They did a cute braid and gathered it nicely at the back. I liked that there were many hair accessories to choose from freely. I went with my husband, and after deciding on the women's yukata and obi, he chose his to match. There were plenty of men's yukatas too. We walked around the Shuzenji area in our yukatas and took lots of wonderful photos. Thank you very much!

初めてのレンタル浴衣でしたがとても良かったです！まずは浴衣を選ぶのですが沢山種類があったのでどなたでも好みの浴衣が見つかると思います。色別に置いてある為見やすかったです。こちらから声をかけるまでお店の人は少し離れたところで待っていてくれるのでゆっくり探せました。浴衣が決まった後はお店の人と帯を選びます。帯も沢山あり雰囲気を掴む為色や柄ごとにお店の人が浴衣に帯をあててくれます。浴衣、帯が決まったらあとは着付けです。あっという間に着せてくれました。帯や紐をしめる度に「大丈夫ですか？」と声を掛けてくれ気を遣ってもらいました。下駄も何種類かありました。終わった後は100円で髪をセットしてくれます。編み込みや三つ編みで可愛く後ろにまとめてもらえました。髪飾りも沢山あり自由に数種類選んでもいいのが良かったです。主人と一緒に行きましたが、女性の浴衣と帯を決めてからそれに合わせて選んでいました。男性の浴衣も沢山ありました。浴衣を着て修善寺周辺を歩き、素敵な写真が沢山撮れました。ありがとうございました！

It seems that the impact of COVID-19 is still lingering, as there were few people at each temple, allowing for a leisurely visit. I visited five temples and walked over 10,000 steps, and there were times when I had to take off my shoes to enter the tatami rooms, so I recommend wearing comfortable and easy-to-remove shoes.

The guide's explanations were thorough and easy to understand, and there were many things I would have missed if I had gone on my own. The driver was also kind, and thanks to both of them, it was an enjoyable tour. Thank you very much.

どのお寺も人が少なくゆっくり見学出来ました
五ヶ所のお寺を周り、1万歩以上歩くのと、座敷に上がる事もあり

I participated for the first time with my girlfriend. There were two other participants besides us, making a total of four people in the experience. Including the instructor, everyone was wearing masks.

On the table, there were examples of works displayed, and we chose the color and shape of our cups. The blue and red glass cups had an additional fee of about 1,000 to 2,000 yen. I wanted to choose a colored cup without the extra charge, but it seemed a bit expensive, and I was told that the difficulty of carving would increase slightly, so I opted for a transparent cup available at the basic fee this time.

There was a stain on the cup that couldn't be removed, but when I mentioned it to the instructor, they gave me a new cup. I noticed the stain after I started carving, but they offered to let me keep the stained cup as well, and we ended up making three cups together.

Amid the atmosphere of travel restrictions, I participated with the hope of creating some family memories. The classroom had measures in place for infection control, and since each person worked individually at their machines, I felt that we wouldn't be too close to each other.

It was my first experience with Edo Kiriko, and the teacher's explanations were clear and enjoyable, making the time fly by. While choosing the glass and selecting existing designs, I added a little twist to create something original, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind Edo Kiriko glass.

I've already started using it at home as my personal glass. Every time I use it, memories come flooding back, and I enjoy the shared conversation about the Edo Kiriko experience.

旅行も自粛ムードが漂う中、せめて何か家族の思い出が作れたらという思いで参加しました。
教室は感染症対策が施されていましたし、一人一人機械に向かって作業をするので、受講者同士がそんなに密になることもないと思います。

初めての江戸切子体験でしたが、先生の説明もわかりやすく、楽しく、時間があっという間に過ぎました。グラス選び、既存のデザインを選びつつ少しアレンジしてオリジナリティーを出しているので、本当に世界でひとつの江戸切子グラスが完成しました。

早速家でマイグラスとして使っています。
グラスを使う度に思い出が巡り、江戸切子体験という共通の会話も楽しんでいます。

It was very convenient to rent a yukata right in front of the bus stop. There was a wide variety of yukatas and obi, and everything from undergarments to hair accessories, bags, and parasols was included in the price, which I thought was a great deal (only tabi needed to be purchased if required). It's nice that you can go hands-free (they can also hold your luggage). The dressing was very careful, and I was able to spend the whole day looking beautiful in my yukata without it coming undone. Personally, I hope that international visitors can appreciate not only the kimono but also the beauty of the knot on the back of the obi. I was very satisfied to be able to take photos in my yukata in the charming streets of the bamboo grove, Togetsukyo Bridge, and Shūzenji. It became a wonderful day filled with good memories with friends. During the summer, only yukata dressing is available, but from autumn, kimono rentals will also be possible, so I think experiencing kimono dressing during the fall foliage season would be great. I would definitely like to use this service again if I have the opportunity. Thanks to Machinavi Yururi, I had a very fulfilling day. Thank you!

着付けもとても丁寧で着崩れしにくく、1日歩いても美しい浴衣姿で過ごすことが出来ました。
個人的には、海外の方には着物だけでなく、帯の背中側の結び目の美しさ等々を知ってもらえるといいなと思いました。
竹林の小径や、渡月橋、修禅寺など風情のある街並みを浴衣で写真撮影をすることが出来てとても満足です。友人との良い思い出の一日となりました。
夏場は浴衣の着付けだけですが、秋からは着物のレンタルも可能になるので、紅葉の時期の着物着付け体験もいいと思います。また機会があれば是非利用させて頂きたいと思いました。
街ナビゆるり様のおかげでとても充実した一日を過ごすことが出来ました。ありがとうございました。

I finally tried my hand at Edo Kiriko, which I had been interested in for a long time. I had planned to participate with a friend, but due to health reasons during this pandemic, they couldn't join me. I decided to go alone. The instructor was young and had a clean appearance. They explained everything calmly, and the two-hour class flew by. The glasses are an additional charge (ranging from 300 yen to several thousand yen). At first, I wasn't sure how much pressure to apply, and I ended up going outside the lines... but as I continued to carve, I started to get the hang of it. The lines that went too far out were properly corrected by the instructor, who quickly and beautifully fixed them. Impressive! It was like magic. I wonder how they did that? One important thing: I forgot my glasses, and since it was detailed work, they were essential. Please be careful, everyone. This Edo Kiriko, a traditional craft from the Edo period, allows us to experience the joy of focusing on one thing for two hours. I plan to cherish my creation moving forward. Overall, despite the pandemic, it was a lot of fun!

前々から興味があった江戸切子に初挑戦。２人で参加する予定が、このコロナ禍の折り、友人は体調が理由で不参加。一人でしたが、参加することにしました。先生は若くて、清潔感のある方。淡々と説明してくださり、２時間の講習はあっと言う間に過ぎました。グラスは別料金です。（３００円から数千円まで）最初は力の入れ具合がわからなかったり、線がはみ出してしまったり、、、ですが、刻んでいくうちにコツがわかってきました。あまりにもはみ出してしまった線は、先生がちゃんと修正してくれました。チャチャっと素早く綺麗に修復。流石！まるで魔法みたい。どういう風にやったんだろ〜？大切な事。眼鏡を忘れてしまい、細かい作業でしたので、必需品でした。皆さんも気をつけてください。江戸時代の伝統工芸を今に伝えるこの江戸切子。２時間の間、一つの事に集中することの楽しさをまた実感しました。自分の作品はこれからも大切に保持していこうと思っています。とにかく、このコロナ禍の折りではありましたが、楽しかった！です。
