I participated in December. There were only two groups of Japanese people, including us; the rest were foreigners. The tour guide explained everything to us directly in Japanese and guided us throughout the sightseeing. We visited many attractions and had a fulfilling day. I have used VELTRA several times, and I have never been disappointed. I would like to participate again in another location next time. Thank you very much.

On December 29, 2024, I participated in a sightseeing tour of Shirakawa-go and Takayama. Starting from the urban landscape of Nagoya, the scenery transformed into lush green mountains, brown coniferous forests, and a snow-covered silver world, which was truly breathtaking. I was particularly moved every time we passed through a tunnel, revealing a completely different world.

There was some traffic and unstable weather due to heavy snowfall the day before, but thanks to our guide's professional judgment, the itinerary was flexibly adjusted in terms of order and timing. Because of this, we were able to enjoy all the sightseeing spots safely and smoothly, for which I am truly grateful.

This tour was an amazing experience and has become an unforgettable memory. I highly recommend it to many people!

2024年12月29日に、白川郷と高山を巡る観光ツアーに参加しました。名古屋の都会的な街並みからスタートし、緑豊かな山々、茶色の針葉樹林、そして一面雪に覆われた白銀の世界へと移り変わる景色は、本当に息をのむ美しさでした。特にトンネルを通り抜けるたびに、まったく異なる世界が広がっていて感動しました。

前日に大雪が降ったとのことで、多少の渋滞や天候の不安定さもありましたが、ガイドさんのプロフェッショナルな判断によって、柔軟に行程の順番や時間を調整してくださいました。そのおかげで、すべての観光地を安全かつスムーズに楽しむことができ、心から感謝しています。

このツアーは本当に素晴らしい体験で、忘れられない思い出になりました。ぜひ多くの方に参加をおすすめしたいです！

I participated in the Shirakawa-go and Takayama sightseeing tour on December 29, 2024. Traveling by bus, the scenery changed beautifully from the urban landscape of Nagoya to green mountains, brown coniferous forests, and then to the snow-covered wonderland. Each tunnel we passed led us to a completely different world. I heard that there was heavy snow the day before, which caused some traffic jams and unpredictable weather conditions. However, thanks to the tour guide's professional judgment, the itinerary was cleverly adjusted in a timely manner. I am truly grateful for being able to safely and successfully enjoy all the sights. I highly recommend everyone to join; it will be an unforgettable memory.

This time, I stayed overnight in Nagoya for a live event and was wondering where to go the next day. I had always wanted to visit the snowy Shirakawa-go, so when I searched, I found this bus tour. I was a bit worried since it was available in Chinese, English, and Japanese (I wonder how many Japanese people were there?), but the guide talked non-stop and provided various explanations, including popular shops and recommended meals. The meeting and departure times were strictly followed, and the tour ended without any issues. Some people reclined their bus seats or brushed off the snow that had accumulated on their coats inside the bus, but it seemed there were no issues regarding that.

今回、ライブで名古屋に1泊して次の日どこへ出かけようかと。
以前より雪の白川郷へは行ってみたいなぁと思っていたので、検索するとこちらのバスツアーがヒットしました。
中国語、英語、日本語対応との事で少々心配してましたが（日本人何人いたかしら？）ガイドさんはずっと喋りっぱなしで色々説明してくださいました。人気のお店とかお勧めの食事とか。
集合出発時間も、きちんと守られて問題無くツアーも終了しました。
バスの座席を倒したり、コートに積もった雪をバスの中で払ったりする方もいらっしゃいましたが、その辺りは注意はなかったようです。

I used this service for the first time from Kyushu. Half of the customers were from overseas. I was worried about the heavy snow along the way, but thanks to the veteran driver and guide, we were able to stick to the schedule. I thought it was a good decision to use the tour since the road to Shirakawa-go was congested during the year-end. The Hida beef lunch was delicious. The guide was great at storytelling, which made it enjoyable. I appreciated the recommendations for souvenirs as well. I thought visiting two places might be challenging, but surprisingly, it went by quickly, and there were so many highlights that I wished we had more time. It was an experience that will become a lifelong memory. Thank you very much.

九州から初めて利用しました。お客さんの半数は海外の方でした。途中の大雪に心配しましたが、ベテランの運転手さんとガイドさんのおかげで、スケジュール通りの運行でした。年末は白川郷までの道が渋滞しており、ツアーを利用して良かったと思いました。飛騨牛のお昼も美味しかったです。ガイドさんのお話が上手で楽しかったです。お勧めのお土産も教えていただき助かりました。2カ所回るのは大変かなと思いましたが、意外にあっという間で、もっと時間が欲しいくらい見どころだらけでした。生涯の思い出になる体験ができました。ありがとうございました。

First of all, I was surprised by the number of inbound tourists. 😳 Also, there were quite a few customers coughing, which was a bit concerning. Other than that, they recommended great places to visit, and the free time provided was ample, allowing me to fully enjoy my experience. Shirakawa-go was also covered in snow... the snowy scenery was amazing. I was able to visit the pilgrimage sites of my favorite anime, and it was a lot of fun.

それ以外は、オススメの場所を教えてくれたり、設けられた自由時間も十分で満喫できました。
白川郷も雪が積もっていて・・雪景色最高でした。アニメの聖地巡礼もでき、とても楽しかったです。

I was overwhelmed by my first snow scenery in life.
It was great to be able to see and experience things that I can't in Okinawa.

As described in my previous experiences, it felt like an overseas tour with only two groups of Japanese people. We departed as scheduled despite the heavy snow warning around Shirakawa-go. The tour guide's explanations were given in Chinese, English, Korean, and finally Japanese, but compared to the lengthy explanations in Chinese, the time allocated for Japanese was quite short. Initially, we were supposed to start with sightseeing in Takayama, but due to the heavy snow, we changed our plans to start from Shirakawa-go. As we traveled on the highway, the snowfall increased, and the bus continued through the heavy snow as warned. However, after exiting at Shirakawa-go IC, we encountered traffic jams, and the bus struggled to move forward. Ultimately, we had to get off before reaching the parking lot and walked to Shirakawa-go. The gassho-zukuri roofs that came into view amidst the falling snow clearly demonstrated the measures taken against heavy snowfall. We couldn't reach the observation deck due to the snow, but we were able to circle around Shirakawa-go and feel its history. The bus headed towards Takayama, but again, we were stuck in traffic and made little progress. We arrived in Takayama just before 4 PM, but places like Takayama Jinya were already closed, so we could only view the townscape. The bus then headed to Nagoya, arriving at 7:30 PM. Although there was traffic, we didn't experience significant delays. According to the tour guide, other companies' tours were unable to leave Shirakawa-go, so we were all quite lucky. Despite the traffic, the heavy snow in Shirakawa-go was definitely worth seeing.

これまでの体験談のとおり、日本人が２組だけのまるで海外ツアーのような状況でした。白川郷周辺は大雪警報の中予定通り出発しました。車内での添乗員さんの説明は、中国語、英語、韓国語、最後に日本語の順でしたが、中国語の説明時間の長さと比較すると、日本語での説明の時間はかなり短いものでした。予定では高山観光からでしたが、大雪の影響で白川郷からに変更になり、高速道路を走行しているうちに積雪量が多くなり、警報通りの大雪の中バスは進んでいきましたが、白川郷ICを降りてから渋滞で、ばすはなかなか前に進みません。結局駐車場の手前で降車して歩いて白川郷へ。雪が降りしきる中で見えてきた合掌作りの屋根は、大雪対策のためあることがよくわかる光景でした。大雪のため展望台までは行きませんでしたが、白川郷を１周して歴史を感じることができました。バスは高山へと向かいますが、またもや渋滞で進みません。高山に着いたのは16時前で、高山陣屋敷などは閉館で街並みを見るにとどまりました。バスは名古屋に向かい、19時30分に到着しました。渋滞がありましたが、それほど遅れることなく、添乗員さんの話では、他の会社のツアーでは、白川郷から出られていないところもあり、みなさんラッキーでしたということでした。渋滞はありましたが、大雪の白川郷は、見る価値がありました。

I was really looking forward to my first visit to Shirakawa-go!

Due to the heavy snowfall leading up to the end of the year, our tour guide and driver suggested that we visit other attractions before heading to Shirakawa-go to avoid the expected crowds.

There were many tourists, and by the time we left Shirakawa-go, the road on the opposite side was heavily congested. Thanks to the quick thinking of both of them, we were able to enjoy our time in Shirakawa-go to the fullest. Thank you very much!

The snowy scenery of Shirakawa-go was absolutely beautiful, so next time, I would love to see the different landscapes of Shirakawa-go in spring or summer and autumn!

In Hida Takayama, I was able to enjoy delicious food and leave feeling both my heart and stomach were satisfied.

Since it was the end of the year, there were some traffic jams, but overall, we had a smooth and enjoyable experience! Thank you for the wonderful tour.

年末&前日までの大雪の影響で大混雑を見込んだ添乗員さんと運転手さんの提案で、白川郷から先に観光することになりました。

たくさんの観光客の方もおり、白川郷から出る頃には反対側の道は大渋滞でした。お二人の機転のきいた対応で、時間いっぱい白川郷観光を楽しめました(^^)ありがとうございました。

雪景色の白川郷がすごく素敵だったので、次は、春や夏秋、違った白川郷の景色がみてみたいです！

飛騨高山では、美味しいご飯を食べ歩き、心もお腹も満たされて帰ることができました。

年末ということで、渋滞などもありましたが、スムーズに楽しく過ごすことができました‼︎楽しいツアーをありがとうございました。

The weather was nice, and the guide was excellent. We traveled by two buses. However, it was quite difficult for my companion, who is Australian, to sit on the tatami mats during the meal. I think we would have enjoyed it more if we could have chosen a table seating option like the other group on the other bus.

天気も良く、ガイドさんも最高でした。2台のバスで行きました。
ただ食事の際に畳に座って食べたのが、連れがオーストラリア人だったので大変でした。
もう一台の方のグループはテーブル席で　できれば選べればもっと楽しめたと思います。

I participated for two consecutive years, last year and this year. The guide provided explanations in both Japanese and English. Right at the start of the new year, we spent a whole day on a bus tour with participants from various countries, and I think the guide had the toughest job. We were able to visit major temples and shrines, and also do some shopping, which made me very satisfied. I would like to participate again next year.

We were the only Japanese couple, but our guide Betty provided thorough explanations in Japanese, which was really helpful. There was traffic on New Year's Day, but we were able to see everything as planned, and I am grateful to the driver as well. This year, as I turn sixty, it has become the best memory for me.

日本人は私ら夫婦だけでしたが、ガイドのベティさんは日本語で丁寧に説明してくださり本当に助かりました。
元旦で渋滞もありましたが全て予定通り見学できて運転手さんにも感謝しております。

I started my adventure at Fushimi Inari Taisha. As I walked along the mystical path lined with vermilion torii gates, I felt a cleansing sensation wash over me, and I couldn't help but smile at the bustling atmosphere of the New Year's visit.

Next, I headed to Kiyomizu-dera. Here, the sound of the bell resonating in the winter silence left a lasting impression on my heart. The view of Kyoto's cityscape from the grand stage was so beautiful, it felt like a painting, and I found myself gasping in awe at the moments that unfolded.

After that, I went to Kinkaku-ji. The sight of the golden temple reflecting on the surface of the lake was truly picturesque. Under the cold sky, I enjoyed a moment of feeling the weight of history as I walked with steady steps.

Finally, I made my way to Arashiyama. Listening to the murmuring of the river, I leisurely walked through the bamboo grove, refreshing my spirit in nature as a gentle time flowed by. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, I spent a heartwarming moment and fully savored the charm of Kyoto on New Year's Day.

On this special day, I was able to reaffirm the wonderfulness of Kyoto, where history and nature intertwine, and create lasting memories in my heart. 😊

伏見稲荷大社から冒険の旅をスタートしました。朱色の鳥居が連なる神秘的な道を進むと、心が洗われるような感覚に包まれ、初詣の賑わいに思わず笑顔がこぼれました。

次に向かったのは清水寺。ここでは、冬の静寂の中に響く鐘の音が心に残りました。壮大な舞台から眺める京都の街並みは、まるで絵画のように美しく、思わず息をのむ瞬間が続きました。

その後は金閣寺へ。金色に輝く寺院が湖面に映る姿は、まさに絵に描いたような美しさ。寒空の下、しっかりとした足取りで歩きながら、歴史の重みを感じるひとときを楽しみました。

最後に嵐山へ。川のせせらぎに耳を傾けのんびり歩き竹林の小道へ自然の中で心がリフレッシュされ、穏やかな時間が流れました。美しい景色に囲まれ、心温まるひとときを過ごし、京都の魅力を存分に味わった元旦でした。

この特別な日に、歴史と自然が織りなす京都の素晴らしさを再確認し、心に残る思い出を作ることができました。😊

We gathered at Nagoya Station in the morning, took attendance, and boarded the bus. Since there were mostly foreign tourists, the guide spoke multiple languages. There were many participants from Southeast Asia, but there were also explanations in Japanese, so there were no particular issues. Given the diverse nationalities, the explanations were provided in each language in turn. The guide handed out maps of Shirakawa-go and Takayama and went around explaining at each seat, which I felt was a thoughtful approach. Once we arrived at the destination, a meeting place and time were set, so we did not have to act as a group and could explore freely. There were quite a few participants in the tour.

朝に名古屋駅へ集合し、出欠を取り、バス乗車。基本的に外国人観光客が多かったので、ガイドさんは何ヶ国語も話す方だった。東南アジア？の方からの参加が多かったが日本語での説明もあったので特に問題はなかった。多様な国籍の方がいるので説明は、それぞれの言語で順番に行われた。白川郷や高山の地図を渡して下さり、各座席ごとに説明して回られていて、丁寧な対応だと感じた。現地に着いたら、集合場所と集合時間を決められたので、団体で行動することはなく全部自由行動となった。かなりツアー参加者も多かった。

The guide's explanations were thorough, the weather was nice, and I was able to see Mount Fuji just as I imagined. The fifth station was good, but the view of Mount Fuji from Lake Kawaguchi was the best.

ガイドさんの、説明も、丁寧で、天気も良く、イメージ通りの富士山が見れました。５合目も良かったですが、河口湖からの富士山が１番良かったです。

There were moments when the tour was delayed due to weather, but I was very impressed that the schedule was adjusted and we arrived as planned.

This was my first trip to Gifu Prefecture, and there was a lot I didn't know. I appreciated how the bus tour staff provided advice to each person at various locations. What stood out particularly was how the tour guide shared insights while speaking with us. Even with free time, it was very reassuring to have guidance for our explorations.

Lastly, it was amazing that the tour guide could speak Chinese, English, and Japanese.

一部ツアーで遅れる場面(天候上)もあったが、スケジュールを調整されていて、予定通り着いた点は非常に感動した。

岐阜県については初めて旅行する場所であり、知らないことも多かった。その中でバスツアーさんが一人一人に各場所のアドバイス等をしていた点が良かった。特に良かったのが、ツアーガイドさんの知見も交えながら、お話してくださった点である。自由時間があっても、各人で目星をつけて散策するため、大変心強かった。

最後に中国語、英語、日本語を話せているのは凄かった。(今回のツアーガイドさんがかもしれないが)

I used the service at the end of the year. There were many foreign visitors, but there were also some Japanese people. The guidance was provided in English by a Japanese person, but sometimes they explained in Japanese as well.

If you don't closely follow the guide, you'll quickly lose sight of the guide's flag! There were so many people, and many other tours with flags, so at Fushimi Inari Taisha, I lost sight of the guide and couldn't find the meeting place. However, since I had received a map, I was able to reach the meeting place by following it.

At Kiyomizu-dera, there was a free time of two hours, which was enough for sightseeing, dining, and shopping for souvenirs. At Kinkaku-ji, I misunderstood the meeting time and had the incident of being left behind by the bus at Kinkaku-ji... I found a guide from the same bus tour company on a different route, explained the situation, and was able to get on that bus, successfully reuniting with the group at the next destination.

I really appreciate the help during that situation. I was certainly at fault for misunderstanding the time, but it seems that they couldn't contact me because they didn't have my contact information. Therefore, I think it would be better to confirm emergency contact information when gathering in the hotel lobby in the morning.

年末に利用しました。
外国の方が多かったけど日本の方もいました。案内は日本の方が英語でされてましたが、時々日本語でも説明してくださいました。
しっかり後をつけていないと、すぐにガイドさんの旗を見失ってしまいます!
とにかく人が多くて、他にも旗を持ってるツアーも沢山いて、伏見稲荷大社では途中で見失い、集合場所が分かりませんでしたが、地図をもらってたので地図を見ながら集合場所に辿り着けました。
清水寺では自由時間が2時間もあり、観光や食事、お土産を買ったりと、時間が十分ありました。
金閣寺では集合時間を勘違いして、金閣寺でバスに置いて行かれるというハプニングが…
別の便の同じバスツアー会社のガイドさんを見付け、事情を説明するとそのバスに乗せてもらえ、無事に次の目的地で合流できました。
その節は大変お世話になり、ありがとうございました。
時間を勘違いしてた私がもちろん悪いのですが、こちらの連絡先が分からず連絡が取れなかったそうなので、朝ホテルのロビーに集合した時点で、緊急連絡先の確認をされた方がいいと思います。

The view of Shirakawa-go in this season, with its stunning snow scenery, was absolutely breathtaking! I also enjoyed walking around and trying the food in Takayama! I want to go again!

I was worried about whether the tour could proceed due to the heavy snowfall, but I was able to participate safely and I am very satisfied. There were many international visitors, but the tour guide provided direct and thorough explanations, which made me feel at ease during the visit. Thank you very much.

- It was my first time in Takayama and Shirakawa-go, and I thoroughly enjoyed not only the scenery but also food tasting, sightseeing, and souvenir hunting.
- Although there was snow in Shirakawa-go, it wasn't falling, so I was able to walk with regular shoes.
- The guide, who spoke three languages, was from China and provided a very detailed tour, which gave me a great sense of reassurance.
- As others have mentioned, about 90% of the participants were from overseas. Although we started a bit late, everyone was punctual and we disbanded as scheduled.

・高山、白川郷ともに初めてだったが風景以外にも食べ歩き、名所巡り、お土産探しと大満喫
・白川郷は積雪あるも降っておらず何とか普通の靴でも歩くことができた
・3カ国語話されるガイドさんは中国の方で、とても丁寧に案内してくれてすごく安心感があった
・他の方も書いてらっしゃる通り9割海外の方だった、少し開始は遅れたがみなさん時間きっちりで予定通り解散

My first visit to Shirakawa-go was wrapped in a snowy blanket, and it was incredibly beautiful. The gassho-zukuri houses were mysterious homes filled with the wisdom and culture of those who lived there long ago. The tour guide provided a thorough and reassuring explanation in Japanese, allowing us to explore with confidence. The sights I experienced on this tour have become a lifelong treasure. Thank you! 😊

I took my mother, who has difficulty walking. The meeting time was tight and we had to hurry, but we were able to visit the sights in a planned manner. It would be difficult to visit this many attractions on our own. After it was over, I felt a sense of satisfaction. My mother was happy too.

足の悪い母を連れて行きました。集合時間は、タイトで急ぎ足でしたが、計画的に巡ることができました。個人では、これだけの名所を巡る事はできません。終了後には、満足感がありますよ。母も喜んでいました。

It was a relaxing and enjoyable tour, even though I was alone and with an Aussie next to me, but the long travel time was a bit tough. How about narrowing it down to two locations?

1人でも、横にご一緒されたオージーの方と和み楽しいツアーでしたが、移動時間が長いのが少々辛かったです、場所を２つに絞ってみたらどうですか？

We enjoyed the tour thoroughly. We were lucky enough to be able to go up to the 5th level. It was -8 degrees up there but the views were breathtaking. And we got a close view of Mt. Fuji too.
The souvenir shop offered us complimentary tea on arrival which was lovely and very welcoming. We were each given a little complimentary bell too which is supposed to bring good luck and long life to the owner.
The lunch at Lake Kawaguchiko was really nice too. The food great and the experience of eating out of the bowl while the food was cooking was amazing!

The weather wasn't great, but the detailed guidance from the tour guide made for a fulfilling day. The changing weather was also a part of the fun. It was too cold, but I was glad to see the snowy scenery.

天気はよくなかったが、ツアーガイドの案内が細かいので、充実な1日を過ごせました。
天気の変化も一つの楽しみでした。寒すぎますが、雪が降る景色が見れて良かったです。

I visited Shirakawa-go for the first time. The guide explained everything very clearly and also pointed out great photo spots. The best part was the bus stop location. It was much closer than other tour companies, which was really nice. There was also plenty of time for sightseeing.

一番よかったのは、バスの停車位置。他のツアー会社よりも、近くてとても良かったです。見学時間も十分でした。

I participated with my high school daughter, my 87-year-old mother-in-law, and myself, representing three generations.

Fortunately, on the day we attended, there were fewer participants, and the group was evenly split between international visitors and Japanese, which allowed the tour guide to provide explanations in Japanese very thoroughly.

Additionally, the guide was considerate of my mother-in-law's mobility issues and offered helpful advice, such as suggesting that she could wait at a nearby café if certain tourist spots seemed difficult to access. This was truly helpful.

The tour guide's English explanations were also easy to understand. As mentioned in other reviews, this tour has a packed itinerary, so it might be more comfortable for those without concerns about mobility.

It was truly a fulfilling tour. Thank you!

高校生の娘、87歳の義母、私と3世代で参加させていただきました。
たまたま運良く、参加日は参加者が少なめで、さらに海外の方と日本人半々だったため、添乗員さんの説明も日本語でも丁寧に説明していただけました。
また、足の悪い義母を気遣ってくださり、観光が難しそうな場所は駐車場近くか、ここら辺のカフェでお待ちいただくと良いかもしれません等のアドバイスもいただけ、本当に助かりました。

添乗員さんの英語の案内も分かりやすかったです。
他の方のレヴューにもありますが、観光欲張りセットなので、やはり足腰に不安のない方が安心かと思います。

会議場所はとても見つけやすく、責任者が待っていました。公共交通機関のために並ぶ手間もありませんでした。

Very easy to find the meeting place and there was a person in charge waiting. No hassle to queu for a public transport.

I made a reservation because I wanted to see Shirakawa-go covered in snow. This year, it had been warm for a while, so I was worried about whether there would be snow, but my worries were unfounded. When I arrived, it was snowing so heavily that I could barely see in front of me. Snow boots are a must during snowy weather. The bridge leading to Shirakawa-go from the parking lot was frozen. When the sun peeked out, it was as beautiful as I had imagined, so I definitely think everyone should see the snowy scenery and Shirakawa-go at least once! In Takayama, I had enough time to see the morning market, eat Hida beef, and do some shopping. If you want to explore more thoroughly, I think you would need a bit more time.

今年は暖かい日が続いていたので、雪が積もっているのか不安でしたが、杞憂でした
到着時、前が見えないほど吹雪いていました
雪の時は、スノーブーツは必須です
駐車場から白川郷に行くための橋が凍ってました
晴れ間が除く時は、想像通り綺麗だったので、是非一度は雪景色と白川郷を観ると良いと思います！
高山は、朝市みて、飛騨牛食べて、買い物する程度の時間はありました
じっくり観光しようと思うともう少し時間がいると思います
