It seemed difficult to tour Kyoto by rental car, and using trains and buses seemed hot and challenging... After some consideration, I joined a day trip bus tour from Umeda to Kyoto! It was a great decision. The guide was very kind, and we were able to visit the popular sightseeing spots on time. It was wonderful to relax in the cool bus during the travel time.

レンタカーで京都を巡るのは難しそうだし 電車やバスを利用するのは暑いし大変そう…と悩んだ末 梅田発の京都日帰りバスツアーに参加しました！

Since it was my first time participating, I had various anxieties, but I was able to have a great time. It was nice that everyone was quiet on the bus, and we gathered on time without anyone being late. Although not a guide, there was a company representative present, which made me feel at ease. Announcements were made in Japanese, Chinese, English, and Korean, making it very easy to understand. People from various countries participated, and I enjoyed it.

初めて参加したので、色々と不安がありましたが、とても楽しく過ごす事が出来ました。
バス内でも、皆さん静かにされてて良かったですし、時間通りに集合し誰1人と時間に遅れる事がありませんでした。
ガイドさんではありませんが、会社の付き添いの方が居て安心しました。日本語、中国語、英語、韓国語で全ての方にアナウンスされててとても分かりやすかったです。色々な国の方が参加されていましたが、楽しめました。

I was prepared for the harshness of Kyoto in midsummer, but it was beyond my expectations. I was very satisfied to visit four classic attractions in just one day. The guide kindly explained the sights not only in English but also in Japanese. Despite the heat, they maintained a smile and engaged with the participants, which was wonderful.

真夏の京都は過酷と覚悟はしていましたが想像以上でした。
定番の名所を1日で4箇所も制覇でき大満足です。
ガイドさんが英語だけでなく日本語でも親切に名所の説明をしてくれました。
暑い中、笑顔を絶やさず参加者に声をかけてくれて素晴らしかったです。

It was a perfect tour blessed with great weather. The tour guide, Hiro, and the driver were both kind and excellent. I had such a great time at the fifth station of Mount Fuji that time flew by, and if I could wish for anything, it would be a bit more time to stay. I would like to use this service again next time.

I wanted to take a day trip to Kyoto during my stay in Osaka, so I joined the tour with my partner, who doesn't understand Japanese. The tour itself was very satisfying as it efficiently covered the sightseeing spots! My partner seemed to enjoy it a lot, and I was glad we participated.

If I had to mention some dissatisfaction, it would be that Kinkaku-ji was too crowded with tourists, and because of the rain, everyone had umbrellas, making it very difficult to move around. We also didn't have much time, so we couldn't take our time to appreciate it. Additionally, someone on the same bus was always late for the meeting time, which meant we lost the time we were looking forward to at Todai-ji, and that was disappointing.

大阪滞在中に日帰りで京都に行きたくて、日本語が分からないパートナーといっしょに参加しました。
ツアー自体は効率よく観光地を回れて非常に満足いくものでした！パートナーも非常に楽しそうにしていて、参加してよかったと思いました。
不満な点を挙げるとすれば、金閣寺は観光客が多すぎ＆雨でみんな傘をさしていて非常に動きづらさがあった＆時間もあまり無くて落ち着いて見られませんでした。
また、同じバスに乗っていた方が常に集合時間に遅れたため、楽しみにしていた東大寺へ行く時間が無くなり残念でした。

I rode the Hozu River boat for the first time, and it was thrilling and fun. The scenery along the Hozu River is beautiful, so it was very refreshing.

保津川下りに初めて乗りましたが、スリルがあり、楽しかったです。保津川は景色も綺麗なので、とても癒やされました。

The journey from Kameoka to Arashiyama took just under two hours, and I was able to enjoy it very leisurely. On the day I participated, the water level and flow were low, and I was impressed by the boatmen who kept us entertained while paddling under the blazing sun. There were many foreign tourists, and there were explanations in English, but I found myself laughing at the dad jokes that foreigners probably wouldn't understand. I learned that in the past, agricultural products and rice were transported to the capital in this way, and I can only imagine the hard work that went into it. It was deeply moving to think that I was part of this ongoing tradition while riding on that boat. Thank you very much.

亀岡から嵐山まで2時間弱の旅、とてもゆっくり過ごせました。参加した日は水量や流れが少なく、炎天下で漕ぎ続けて盛り上げてくれた船頭さん達には脱帽です。外国人旅行客が多く英語を交えた案内もありましたが、外国人にはわからないであろうおやじギャグにツボりました。昔はこのように農産物やお米が都へ運ばれたとのこと、大変なご苦労だったと思います。今も続く伝統と、その船に乗っているんだなと思うと感慨深いものがありました。ありがとうございました。

Our group was the only one with Japanese people, as everyone else was from overseas. The guide provided explanations in both English and Japanese, so there were no inconveniences. It was a trip that created many wonderful memories. However, I think it would have been better if we could have known in advance what kind of participants would be there.

海外の方ばかりで日本人は私達のグループだけでした。ガイドさんは英語と日本語の両方で説明をしていただき不便はなかったです。いい思い出がたくさんできた旅となりました。
でもできれば参加者がどのような方がいるとか事前にわかればよりいいなと思いました。

It was a very hot day. As expected, I was surprised by the number of foreign visitors. However, I was impressed by how hard the guide worked to provide information in Japanese. We had plenty of free time and were able to enjoy the hot summer in Kyoto at our own pace.

とても暑い１日でした。予想通りに外国人の方の多さにも驚きです。しかし、ガイドさんが一生懸命に日本語での案内に感動です。
自由時間が多く自分たちのペースで暑い夏の京都を堪能できました。

I chose this course at my grandchild's request.
The guide was kind, and the safe driving made for a pleasant sightseeing experience.
If I had to say something, I would be happier if the children's fare were a bit cheaper. ☺️

My mom (in her 60s) participated in a bus tour and said she had a great time. The scenery was very beautiful, and I highly recommend it.

The guide (Ikuko) was very kind, always smiling when she spoke, and she was a really lovely woman. She clearly explained the course as well. During the walk, she took my mom along and took pictures for her. We are very grateful for her help.

At one point, my mom accidentally dropped her clothes in the restroom, and the guide contacted us and helped find them, for which we were very thankful. The driver was also very skilled at driving.

It was a fun trip.

I had wanted to visit Shirakawa-go, but I had almost given up because it was difficult to get there on my own (since I don't have a car). However, I found out that I could take a bus from Kanazawa, and it only takes about an hour and a half, so I immediately signed up. Since there were only seven tour participants, the bus was almost free seating (it was assigned seating, but I could move to any seat I liked). The guide provided various explanations and also shared highlights and recommended spots in Shirakawa-go. The lunch was delicious as well. It was truly a great tour. Thank you very much.

白川郷は行ってみたいと思ってたのですが、場所が、個人では行きにくく（車が無いため）半ば諦めてました。
でも金沢からバスで、しかも1時間半位で行けると知り即申し込みました。
ツアー客も7名しかいなかったため、バスはほぼ自由席（指定席だったけど好きな席に移動オッケー）
ガイドさんも色々説明してくださり、白川郷での見どころ、オススメ場所も教えてくれました。
昼食も美味しかったです。
本当に良いツアーでした。

I participated in a tour guided by a Chinese guide in English for the first time. The participants were more cooperative than I expected, and we were able to enjoy the trip smoothly without significant delays in departure or meeting times throughout the day. Although the participants were from different countries, everyone’s smiles left a strong impression. I truly think it was a comfortable tour.

As for the negative points, if the tour title is "Fifth Station of Mount Fuji" or "Mount Fuji Heritage Center," I personally think that if "Fifth Station of Mount Fuji" is written first, it should be the first destination we visit. I was particularly looking forward to going to the Fifth Station with my husband.

There were some traffic conditions, but on the day I participated, I felt like it would be manageable.

I have no other complaints. Thank you for a truly enjoyable day of travel.

初めて中国人のガイドさんが英語で案内されるツアーに参加しました。思った以上参加者の方々も協力的で出発時間、集合時間、一日中大きなディレイもなく、スムーズに旅行を楽しめることが出来ました。参加者は国々が違うようですが、みなさんの笑顔が印象でした。本当に快適なツアーだと思います。
マイナスなポイントでは、ツアーのタイトルは富士山五合目or富士山遺産センターでしたら、個人的で富士山五合目が前に書かれるとしたら、富士山五合目が先に行くべきかなと思います。また主人と共に五合目に行けるのが何より楽しみにしていました。
道路の混み合い状況はありますが、参加した日はなんとなく、実行できるような気がします。
他に不満はありません。本当に一日楽しい旅行ができて、ありがとうございます。

We used this service with six family members, including grandparents. Although we are Japanese, we live abroad, so we chose this tour to give our children the experience of Japanese scenery and a guided tour. Thanks to the guide's accurate sightseeing information, we were able to enjoy it very comfortably. We are extremely satisfied.

I participated in the tour on June 26. The bus guide explained in English, but also spoke in Japanese, which made it very easy to understand. At Kiyomizu-dera, they guided us to various places, and I had a great experience. It was a very satisfying tour. I would like to participate again when I visit Kyoto. Thank you very much.

It was a two-night, three-day trip, but due to the flight schedule, it felt like we only had one full day, so we booked a tour.

We walked a lot in the heat, but it was great that we could take the bus in between to cool off before heading to the next spot.

The guide was very kind and took many photos for us. We had extra time at Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizu-dera, but we barely made it to Kinkaku-ji, and I felt like we didn't have enough time at Arashiyama.

If I go to Kyoto again, I would like to book a plan for river rafting next time.

二泊三日の旅行でしたが、飛行機の時間もあり、実質一日しかないようなものだったので、ツアーを予約しました。

暑い中、たくさん歩きましたが、合間でバスに乗れるので、涼んでから次のスポットに行けて良かったです。

ガイドさんもとても親切で、たくさん写真を撮ってくれました。
伏見稲荷や清水寺は時間が余ったのですが、金閣寺はぎりぎり間に合い、嵐山は時間が足りないと感じました。

また京都に行くことがあれば、次は渓流下り？のプランなど予約してみたいです。

The guide was kind, and the lunch was delicious, but the time we had in Shirakawa-go was short, so we couldn't see everything. It was also disappointing that some places in Gokayama were closed on the day we visited.

I came to Kanazawa from Hiroshima, and since I was already here, I wanted to go to Shirakawa-go! That's why I joined the tour. Since it was a tour with a set itinerary, as long as I kept an eye on the meeting times, I could relax and enjoy myself knowing they would take care of everything else.

One of the fun aspects of the tour is having a tour guide. On the day I participated, there were only six of us, including me, and four of them were from overseas. The tour guide was fluent in English and shared interesting local knowledge, as well as detailed and enjoyable recommendations for spots and ways to explore Shirakawa-go and Takayama. Both the Japanese participants and the international guests were well taken care of with thoughtful explanations.

Thank you to the tour guide and the bus driver for the long hours; I had an amazing time even as a solo participant! I honestly wanted to see more because the local area was so much fun! I heard that many repeat visitors feel the same way (laughs). I would love to join again on my next trip.

広島から金沢旅行に来たので、せっかくだから白川郷まで行きたい！と思い参加しました。
ツアーなので、工程が組まれているため、集合時間さえ気にしていれば　あとは連れて行ってくれて連れて帰ってくれて　安心して楽しめました。
ツアーならではの楽しいところは、添乗員さんがついていることです。私の参加日は私を入れて全部で6名しかおらず、うち4名は海外の方でした。添乗員さんは英語もペラペラで、現地ならではの豆知識や白川郷、高山でのオススメスポットやめぐり方を細かく楽しく教えてくれて、日本人の私も海外の方も取りこぼさずに丁寧にお話くださいました。
添乗員さんもバスの運転手さんも長時間ありがとうございました、1人での参加でも最高に楽しかったです！
現地が楽しすぎて正直もっと見たい！時間足りない！と思いましたが(笑)同じ気持ちでのリピーターさんも多いとのことです(笑)
また旅行に行く際は参加したいです。

受付から、このツアーチームのプロフェッショナリズムを感じることができました。印刷されたツアー資料とツアーガイド（日本人女性のジュエルさん）による英語の紹介があり、訪問前に全体的な概要を把握することができました。訪問中、彼女は私たちのグループ写真を撮る手伝いをしてくれたり、妻のために熱いお湯を持ってきてくれたりしました。
天候はかなり暑く湿気がありましたが、美しい景色と訪問地の豊かな歴史にとても満足しました。最も重要なのは、ツアーガイドとドライバーがとても親切で助けてくれたことです。

From the reception, we can feel the professionalism of this tour team. With printed tour materials and English introduction from tour guide (Japanese Lady Ms Jewell), we can get some general view before visiting. During visit, she helped us taking group photos and even helped to fetch some hot water for my wife.
Though the weather was quite hot and humid, but we still felt very satisfied with the beautiful view and rich history of visiting points. Most importantly, the tour guide and driver are very friendly and helpful.

Out of about six participants, around four were guests from abroad. The guide was kind and not only recommended places at the destination but also kept the bus talks brief, allowing us to relax. Lunch was at a dining hall in a traditional house in Shirakawa-go. It was delicious. Gokayama is highly recommended!

6組ぐらいの参加者のうち、4組ぐらいが外国からのお客さまでした。ガイドさんは親切で、目的地のおすすめの場所も教えてくれたし、バスの中のお話しもずっとではなく、落ち着いて過ごせました。昼食は白川郷の民家の食堂でした。おいしかったです。五箇山はおすすめです！

This is more of an experience report or feedback, but the tour guide was very kind and unique, making the experience enjoyable. However, I was looking forward to the Kyoto tofu meal that was included, but unfortunately, there was only a little bit of tofu, which was disappointing.

体験談というか感想になってしまいますが、添乗員さんがとても親切かつユニークな方で、楽しく参加させていただきました。でも、京豆腐御膳付きってあったので楽しみにしていたのですが、豆腐がほんの少ししかなくて残念でした。

I am Japanese and participated alone. The guide (a Japanese person) provided explanations in English for inbound guests. There were several Japanese participants, including myself. The schedule was followed, and there was free time at various locations, allowing for a certain degree of relaxation.

【Points of Concern】
The guide's treatment towards me was somewhat dismissive.

(1) When I arrived at the bus stop before the meeting time, the guide said, "I forgot my smartphone at the bus stop. What time is it now?" and then poked my smartphone that I was holding with his finger quite forcefully. Even if there was no ill intent, what? That was too rude. It's not yours! Don't touch other people's things without permission!

(2) During lunch at Kiyomizu Temple, the guide explained to a foreign traveler who ordered the same meal as me, "If you don't know how to eat it, just watch how she (pointing at me) eats and learn!" while laughing (in English).
Huh? It's my first time eating this too, so don't say such careless things! You might have thought I didn't understand English, but I major in foreign language literature and can understand the guide's English just fine.
(In the end, I was able to ask the restaurant staff how to eat it. The foreign traveler didn't ask me about how to eat it.)

【Was the treatment towards foreigners polite...?】
While I felt the treatment towards me was rough, I noticed that the inbound guests were treated very kindly. Even though it was a 9:30 departure, they waited for foreign travelers who were 5-10 minutes late (which caused a slight delay in our departure), and the schedule was explained repeatedly. Was it really necessary to say the same thing so many times? It felt overly protective, like a mother. Was it too much?

日本人です。一人で参加しました。
インバウンドのお客さん向けのためガイドさん(日本人)は英語での説明です。私含め何組か日本人参加者もおりました。　スケジュールどおりに回れるのと、各所で自由時間が設けられるので、ある程度はのびのびできました。

【気になった点】
担当ガイドさんの私への対応がちょっとした対応です。

(1)集合時間前にバス停へ来た時、「スマホをバス停の中に忘れてしまった。いま何時？」と仰って、私が手に持ってたスマホを指でポンポン強めに叩いたこと。悪気はないにせよ、何？失礼すぎるやろ。あんたのもんちゃうで！人様のもんに勝手に触らんといてや！

(2)清水寺のランチにて。私と同じ御膳を頼んだ外国人旅行者に対して、「食べ方が分からなかったら、日本人の彼女(私の方を手で刺して)の食べ方を見て習ってね〜」などとケラケラ笑って説明してること(英語)。
(ﾟДﾟ)ﾊｧ〜?私だって初めての食事なんやぞ、適当なこと抜かすな！
英語がわからないからって思ってたんかもしれんが、こちらは外国語文学の専攻や、ガイドさんの喋る英語くらい、私も分かるで？
(結局、レストランのスタッフさんに食べ方は伺えました。外国人の方からも食べ方については聞かれませんでした)

【外国人への対応は丁寧…？】
私への対応は雑に感じましたが、一方のインバウンドのお客様にはメチャ優しかったと感じます。9時半出発なのに5〜10分遅れた外国人旅行者はまってあげたり(その御蔭でちょっと出発時間遅れたな)、タイムスケジュールの説明を幾度となく行ったり。そんな何度も同じこと言わんでもええんちゃう？過保護過ぎなオカンみたいな感じでした。オーバーTooリズムでは？

The guide provided information in both English and Japanese for the foreign guests besides myself. The sightseeing schedule was relaxed, allowing us to enjoy at a leisurely pace. The hotel lunch buffet was also wonderful, but next time I would like to try buying melon bread and other snacks at Mount Fuji.

Considering the price, it felt about right. What I really want to emphasize is that the tour guide should make it easier to find the tour by displaying the tour name or something similar during the morning gathering. Everyone was anxious because they couldn't find their tour. Moreover, the tour guide arrived late, and there wasn't enough time for a bathroom break after check-in before the departure time.

内容は値段から考えて、まあこんなもんかって感じ。とにかく何よりも言いたいのは、朝の集合の時にツアーガイアの人はツアー名を書いた表示をするとかもっと探しやすくする工夫をした方がいい。みんな自分のツアーが見つけられなくて不安になっていた。そもそもツアーガイドは来るのも遅くて、チェックイン後、出発時間までにトイレの時間取れない。

I was a bit anxious about the language being "Chinese," but as others have mentioned, Japanese was also fine. However, there were 21 participants, and only 3 were Japanese, so the atmosphere on the bus was quite quiet, with everyone adhering to the rules. Kumamoto Castle is still under restoration, but the tours before the earthquake seemed challenging with the stairs, so the elevator was a blessing for elderly couples. Mount Aso had a level 2 entry restriction, so we couldn't go to the crater, which was disappointing. The Kamishikimi Kumanoza Shrine was not on our radar, but we experienced its impressive solemnity, although the climb was tough. Since we were individual tour guests, the return bus became a grand showcase of delicious dinner spots in Hakata from our guide, and we were introduced to a great "motsunabe" restaurant. It felt like a Kyushu gourmet tour with motsunabe, basashi, vinegar motsu, and karashi renkon, and the fatigue from the 8 AM departure and 6 PM arrival was completely lifted. I was very satisfied in a slightly different way. One complaint (perhaps?) is that I applied through VELTORA, and while I received a voucher via email from the organizing tour company, it seems that the actual company conducting the tour is different. It took some time to find which tour was ours at the meeting point at the Chikushi Exit of Hakata Station, which was a bit nerve-wracking.

対応言語が「中国語」で不安もありましたが、他の方も書いていたように日本語も大丈夫でした。ただし、参加者２１人、日本人は３人で、台湾・香港の個人ツアー客中心ということで皆さんバスの中も静か時間もきっちり守っていました。熊本城はまだまだ復旧途中ですが地震前のツアーは階段やら大変そうで高齢夫婦にはエレベーターがありがたかったです。阿蘇山は入山規制レベル２で火口まではいけませんでした、残念。上色見熊野座神社はノーマークでしたが、なかなかの荘厳さを味わいましたが登りがきつかった。個人ツアー客ということで帰りのバスはガイドさんの博多のおいしい夕食スポットの大披露会となり、私たちもおいしい「もつ鍋屋さん」を教えてもらい、もつ鍋、馬刺し、酢もつ、からし蓮根と九州旨いものツアーをやったような気分で、８時発18時着の疲れもすっかり取れました。ちょっと違う意味でも大満足でした。一つ、苦情（？）を言えばVELTORAに申し込んで、主催ツアー会社の入ったバウチャーはメールで来てましたが、実際にツアーを実施する会社はまた別なのでしょうか。博多駅筑紫口の集合場所はツアーバスの集合場所でどれが目的のツアーか見つけるのに時間がかかりドキドキでした。

On June 26, 2024, I took a boat ride down the Hozu River. It was the rainy season, and the previous day had been canceled, but today we were blessed with wonderfully refreshing weather that was neither too hot nor humid. From the moment I boarded, I was filled with excitement. The veteran boatman, perhaps? He skillfully guided us while facing backward and entertained the foreign guests in English. I had a great time and definitely want to go again. The boatman's biceps were impressive!

保津川下り遊船しました。梅雨の時期で前日は中止でしたが本日は見事に爽やかなな風に蒸し暑くもなく天候に恵まれました。乗った瞬間からワクワクどきどきでしたベテランの船頭さんでしょうか?随所で後ろ向きなのに案内され外国の方には英語で楽しませておられ、とても楽しく過ごせ、また必ず行きたい気持ちになりましたね

It seems to be a tour starting in Osaka, and the bus arrived in Kyoto 20 minutes late, which delayed the start. However, the stays at the subsequent sightseeing spots were just the right length, allowing me to show my friend the things I wanted them to see. I was really satisfied to show them Fushimi Inari and Kinkaku-ji, which I really wanted them to see. The lunch with hot pot was delicious too!

At the end in Nara, we were told that we might not have time to see the Great Buddha at Todai-ji because we were running late, and I was disappointed. However, the guide quickly took all the participants to the front of Todai-ji, so we were able to see the Great Buddha safely.

Thank you very much. If you want to take your time to look around, you might feel a bit rushed, but I think it's a good tour for those who want to cover the main sightseeing spots in a short amount of time.

大阪スタートのツアーのようで、京都には20分遅れでバスが来たので、スタートが遅れましたが、その後の観光地でもちょうどいい長さの滞在で、友人に見せたかったものを見せることができました。伏見稲荷と金閣寺は、本当に見せたかったので大満足でした。お昼の鍋も美味しかったです♪
そして最後の奈良では時間が押して東大寺の大仏を見る時間がないかもと言われたのですが、がっかりしていたら、ガイドさんが、東大寺の前まで参加者全員を連れて早歩きで連れていってくださったので、無事大仏さんも見れました。

ゆっくり見たいなら少し時間が足りないと感じるかもしれませんが、メインの観光地を短い時間で抑えたい方には良いツアーだと思います。

I participated in the tour on May 31. Everyone else was a tourist from a Chinese-speaking region, so the guide provided information in Chinese. We were able to see the moss phlox, but unfortunately, the tulips were past their peak and we couldn't see them. Instead, we were taken to another wisteria flower spot, which was a bit different from what I expected, but I was glad to see the wisteria flowers. Overall, I achieved my goal, but the time spent on the bus was long.

５月３１日のツアーに参加した。みんなは中国語圏の観光客だったので、添乗員は中国語で案内していた。芝桜は見られたが、チューリップは残念ながら見ごろが過ぎて、見られなかった。その代わりに、別の藤の花スポットに連れていかれたが、少し思ったのと違ったけど、藤の花が見られてよかった。全体的に、目的を達したが、バスにいる時間は長った。

It was a fulfilling trip with my daughter, who was visiting Kyoto for the first time. We were able to visit four sightseeing spots. The guide was very kind and wonderful. The sightseeing bus tour was very enjoyable.

京都に初めて行く娘と二人旅。観光名所を4ヵ所も回れて充実した旅行になりました。ガイドの方がとても優しくて素晴らしかったです。観光バスの旅はとても楽でした。
