Many foreign passengers were on board, and explanations were provided in English simultaneously. This was quite normal, but I think the use of humor made it much easier for foreign guests to understand. Additionally, not only the places we visited, such as Shirakawa-go and Takayama, but also the scenery, buildings, and culture along the way were explained in detail, making it a very meaningful trip.

外国の方も多く搭乗しており、英語での説明も同時に行っていました。
ここまでは普通ですが、ユーモアをふんだんに使い外国の方にもだいぶわかりやすかったと思います。
また、今回周った白川郷、飛騨高山たけに限らず、道中の景色、建物、文化なども細かに説明があり大変有意義な旅になりました。

I was disappointed that I couldn't get on the bus I wanted because I didn't have much knowledge and made a reservation. I reserved a designated seat and went to the bus center to confirm, only to find out that this reservation was only for a bus with unreserved seats. I had to wait in line for 30 minutes to board. As an elderly person, I thought I had secured a designated seat, so I was quite disheartened.

We were informed in advance that most of the bus passengers were foreigners and that the guide's announcements would prioritize English, which made us feel a bit blue. However, the attentiveness of our guide, Maria, was wonderful, and she frequently checked in with us at the sightseeing spots, making it a memorable experience. I booked during the cherry blossom peak season, but unlike the photos, the cherry blossoms weren't close enough to see, and I didn't really need to ride the cold double-decker bus. I only saw one cherry blossom tree at the entrance of Ueno Park as I passed by, so I couldn't see anything inside. It felt like a trip just to visit tourist spots. It was inexpensive, and the guide was decent.

桜は満開シーズンで予約しましたが、写真とは違い桜が近くにあって見えるわけでもなく、寒い二階建てバスに乗る必要もないかなと。
上野公園は入り口の一本の桜を見たのみで横を通ったので中は全く見えず。
観光地を回る旅だったかな。

We were able to go to the desired route, but the guide mentioned that they would make a group reservation for us to enter Kinkaku-ji, and they asked for the children's ages. Even though I told them my child is a middle school student, they immediately asked my child, "How old are you?" to confirm. Since the answer was the same as mine, the guide chuckled a bit.

I felt very uncomfortable about that interaction, especially since I wasn't lying as a parent. Even after returning from the trip, I am still filled with unpleasant feelings about that response. I have never experienced such treatment with other tour companies.

希望のルートへは行けましたが、金閣寺へ入館する為ガイドさんが団体申し込みをしてくださるとの事で子供の年齢を聞かれ親が中学生ですと伝えて居るのにその側ですぐさま子供に年齢は幾つ？と言い確認しておりました。
親と同じ答えなのでガイドさんはクスッと笑っておりました。
親が嘘を言ってるわけでもなくお伝えしたのに、旅行から帰ってからもあの対応に不愉快な気持ちで一杯です。
他のツアー会社でもこの様な扱いはされた事がありませんでした。

The tour guide was approachable, very kind, and it was great. There are set meeting times at each sightseeing location, but they pass relatively quickly, so I think it's best to confirm any places you definitely want to visit in advance (including regular shops and many stalls, which can be confusing!).

A trip with my elderly mother. We usually enjoy freedom and spontaneity, so initially, we thought about taking a highway bus from Kanazawa Station to Shirakawa-go on our own. However, we decided to join this tour because it allows us to visit both Shirakawa-go and Gokayama in one day. It was the right choice. Having the tour guide manage the time made it easy for us, and during the ride to our destination, we learned about the route we were taking, local specialties, recommended spots in Shirakawa-go, and interesting facts about the history of Gokayama. This was my first time sightseeing in Kyoto with my wife, and it was a one-day bus tour for us after 40 years. We arrived at the meeting place an hour early and waited for the guide to check in. Even 15 minutes before the start, no one had arrived at the designated meeting point on the map (Hachijo-guchi Bus Terminal).

In a hurry, I called the emergency contact, and they asked if there was anyone in a yellow happi nearby. Looking around, I spotted three people in yellow happi about 30 meters away, so I went over. A large number of participants had already gathered there. However, there was no sign for "Veltra," and the staff with "LIMON" written on their backs were checking in. You might think, "It’s just 30 meters away, how could you not find it?" but when you're in an unfamiliar place, it's hard to spot something even if you're close to the indicated location on the map. I might be being a bit unreasonable, but the tour schedule ended up being significantly delayed by over an hour, causing us to miss our dinner reservation, and we had to leave the tour during the last sightseeing stop in Arashiyama, unable to participate in the bus ride back to Kyoto Station.

I walked over a kilometer from JR Saga-Arashiyama back to JR Kyoto Station on my own. I even paid for train fare that wouldn’t have been necessary if I had returned with the tour. Other participants on different days have also commented that they wished they had been informed of the final disbanding time during the tour.

Above all, if you are conducting sightseeing tours every day, you should plan the sightseeing schedule with more flexibility! Since "Veltra" is used by many people around the world, I let my guard down and failed to manage the risk of lost time. Unfortunately, my initial impression of the tour's potential was confirmed by the error at the meeting point.

I don't think I will be able to participate again, but I hope our disappointment leads to improvements for future participants, allowing everyone to enjoy a better sightseeing experience in Kyoto!

今回は初めて京都観光をする妻と私は40年ぶりの京都1日バスツアーでした。
最初に集合場所に1時間前に到着しガイドの点呼を待っていました。15分前になっても誰も地図の集合場所（八条口バス乗降場）には来ませんでした。
あわてて緊急連絡に電話すると近くに黄色いハッピの者はいませんか？と言われて見渡すと約30ｍ離れたあたりに黄色のハッピの方が３名見えたので行って見ました。既に大勢の参加者が集まっていました。しかしそこには「ベルトラ」の表示はなく「ＬＩＭＯＮ」と黄色のハッピの背中に書かれたスタッフが点呼していました。結果で見ると「たかが30ｍぐらいの離れた場所ぐらいわかるだろう」とおっしゃるでしょうが、初めて訪れる土地で、自分は案内地図の示された場所にピンポイントにいれば少し離れてもなかなか見つけられないものです。甘えているかもしれませんがツアーのスケジュールも最終的には大幅に1時間以上遅れ夜の食事処の予約に間に合わなくなり最後の嵐山観光の途中でツアーを離れてツアーバスでの京都駅解散まで参加できませんでした。
1㎞以上歩いてＪＲ嵯峨嵐山からＪＲ京都駅に自分で戻りました。
ツアーで戻れば必要ない電車賃も払いました。
このツアーの別日の参加者の方もコメントされていましたが、ツアーの途中案内で最終解散時間を連絡してほしかったです。
なにより毎日観光ツアーしているのなら観光時間スケジュールをもっとゆとりをもって組むべきでしょう！
世界中のたくさんの方が利用しているＶＥＬＴＲＡ”なので、私もつい安心してロスタイムの危機管理ができていませんでした。
ツアーの始まり（集合場所）の誤差からツアーのポテンシャルが低そうな予感が当たってしまい残念でした。
この先、何度も参加はできないと思いますが「私共の残念」がこれからのツアー参加者様達に改善されて皆様がより良い京都観光ができますように！

Two-thirds of the participants were from overseas. Everyone gathered on time, and I felt they were participating in line with Japanese customs. It was great to visit popular spots like a school trip. I admired the tour guide's English skills. It was fun and also a good opportunity to study English!

The cherry blossoms were only partially in bloom, which was disappointing, but the weather was great with blue skies and warmth. Riding the double-decker bus for the first time with my three close friends was exciting! The guide's stories were educational and humorous, making it a fantastic experience. I've been to many famous cherry blossom spots before, but the view from the bus was refreshing. We all decided to go again next year! Thank you for a wonderful trip.

桜は１、2部咲きで期待外れでしたが、天候に恵まれ青空、暖かくて、初めての２階建バスは親友4人でワクワク❗️ガイドさんのお話は勉強になったり、ユーモアもあり楽しくて最高でした。行った事のある桜名所の数々ですが、バスからの眺めは新鮮でした。

The cherry blossoms were unexpectedly late, and even though it was a double-decker bus for the opening, I couldn't fully enjoy the experience! It was disappointing. There's nothing that could be done about that. Instead, the guide did their best to share stories with us. I felt that booking seasonal events can be quite tricky.

The guide was doing their best, but the advertising content and pamphlet were unhelpful.

1️⃣ The ending time is incorrect. When I asked the operating company, Limone, they said the scheduled end time was 17:25. However, in the explanation from Veltra, it states 17:00. By the way, when I participated, we ended around 18:20. The day before, it was said to be 18:45. During busy periods, it seems that delays can be this significant. I wish this had been explained at the very beginning. The guide also did not mention this point.

2️⃣ Whether you include tickets for Kiyomizu Temple and Kinkaku-ji or not, there are inconveniences. If you do not choose the lunch option, you can only go buy tickets after seeing the lunch option participants seated at the restaurant.

Also, if you do not choose it, you cannot enter with the group, so during busy periods, it becomes quite difficult to buy tickets on your own.

3️⃣ It seemed like a tour aimed at foreigners, with English being the main language. This was not mentioned in the explanation.

ちなみに、わたしが参加した時は解散は18:20ごろでした。前日は、18:45だったそうです。混んでいる時期はこれくらい大幅に遅れるとのことでした。一番最初に説明して欲しかったです。この点はガイドさんも説明されてませんでした

2️⃣清水寺と金閣寺のチケットを込みにした場合もしなかった場合も不便が生じます。
ランチオプションをつけなかった場合は、ランチオプションの人がレストランに着席したのを見届けてからしか、チケットを買いに行けません。

また、つけなかった場合は、団体と一緒に入れないため、繁忙期には、自分でチケットを買いに行くのが大変になります。

3️⃣外国人向けツアーのようでほぼ英語がメインでした。そんなことは説明に書いてなかったです

At the end of March, I took a one-day bus tour. Fushimi Inari Shrine was crowded, but I was able to visit. However, the next stop, Kiyomizu-dera, was delayed by an hour due to bus congestion, and we arrived in Arashiyama at 5 PM. I only saw the bamboo grove, which was really disappointing. If congestion was expected, I wish they had considered skipping one sightseeing spot. The tour guide was very kind and knowledgeable, which was the only satisfying part. Also, lunch was all pre-prepared, and there wasn't much time, so I couldn't even have a beer. I think I won't book a bus in Kyoto again.

3月末に1日バスバイクをしました。伏見稲荷神社は人が多かったですが見学できました。しかし次の清水寺はバスが混雑で動かす予定より1時間遅れそして嵐山に着いたのは5時　　見たのは竹林だけ　　すごく残念で仕方ない混雑が予定されているなら見学地を一つ削るとか工夫が欲しかったです。添乗員さんはすごく優しく詳しかった。そこだけは満足あと昼食はすべて作り置きで時間も少なくビールも飲めなかった。京都のバスはまあ予約しないと思う。

I was surprised by the number of foreign travelers participating, which was more than I expected. We made a reservation for five people and went by car. We intended to park at the Yaesu Underground Parking, and since my father is in a wheelchair and my mother might not be able to walk, we participated with both of them in wheelchairs. My parents and I got dropped off in front of the VIP lounge while our companion headed to the parking. However, everywhere was full, and we couldn't find a place to park by the time we needed to leave. The bus guide helped by pushing the wheelchair and checked the names of the two companions who were running late, ensuring that all five of us could participate until the end. I thought we arrived early, but it was our responsibility that we ended up searching for parking. Still, I was very grateful for the guide's kindness.

For those participating by car, please be careful.

The weather was cloudy, and there was a light rain for a short time, but we didn't get too wet. I wanted to enjoy cherry blossom viewing, but since the blooming forecast was delayed, we ended up looking for the few cherry blossoms that were blooming.

With two people not making it, three of us participated, and searching for the scattered blooming cherry blossoms became a good memory. After getting off, we met up with our companions and promised to join another tour together. My parents also participated in the double-decker bus, and since the stairs were dangerous, they were allowed to get on and off last, which made them happy as they were told to take their time.

I think it was good that even with a wheelchair and elderly people, we didn't have to get on and off the bus during the one-hour drive. Traveling can be tough for the elderly, but I appreciate tours that don't require frequent getting on and off in a short time.

5人で予約し、車で行きました。八重洲地下駐車場に停めるつもりで、車椅子の父と歩け無くなるかもしれない母も車椅子を押しての参加で、VIPラウンジ前で両親と3人が降りて、同行者がパーキングへ向いました。しかし、どこも満車で
車が停められずに出発時間となりました。バスガイドさんが、車椅子を押してくれたり、間に合わない同行者を気にして2人の名前を確認してくれたり、最後迄5人で参加できる様に対応して頂きました。早目に行ったつもりでしたが、パーキング探しになったのはコチラの責任。それでもガイドさんの優しさが、とても嬉しかったので感謝しています。
車で参加される方は注意して下さい。

お天気は曇りで、途中にパラパラと雨が降りましたが、短時間でしたのでそれ程濡れる事も無かったです。
御花見をしたかったのですが、開花予想が遅れていたので、逆にチラホラと咲いている桜を見付ける様に御花見して来ました。

2人が間に合わず3人参加、チラホラと咲く桜を探すように見て廻った事も良い想い出となりました。
降車後、同行者と合流し　また違うツアーに参加する約束をしました。
両親も2階建てバスに参加し、階段が危ないため最後に乗降させて頂き、ゆっくりで良いですよ〜。と気遣って頂けたので、楽しかったと喜んでいました。
車椅子や高齢者でも、1時間のドライブで　バスに乗ったり、降りたりしないので良かったと思います。高齢者になると外出や旅行は大変ですが、短時間で乗り降りしないツアーは有難いと思います。

It had been decades since I last visited Kyoto. I was with people from various countries, but it didn't bother me at all, and I was able to participate at my own pace, which was great. It's easier to join a sightseeing bus than to drive ourselves to the tourist spots!

I participated with my daughter, who graduated from elementary school this year, and her friend's family. The kids had visited the same place a few months ago for a school trip, but due to bad weather, they couldn't enjoy sightseeing, so we decided to revisit. Spring in Kyoto is crowded, and we were delayed in arriving compared to our planned time, but it was definitely easier than searching for parking while traveling in our private car. It's a trip where you can experience traditional Japanese culture. Kumamoto Castle, Aso, and Kurokawa Onsen are all wonderful! However, it was a bit disappointing that there were mostly Chinese tourists, and it was somewhat noisy.

I expected that the guide would cater to both foreigners and Japanese people based on everyone's experiences, but most of the guidance was in English. They do provide the necessary parts in Japanese, but since it was my first time in Kyoto, I was disappointed that I expected more guidance in Japanese. The guide seemed concerned, asking if it was okay since it was a tour for foreigners. I got the impression that the guide was making an effort to provide explanations in Japanese as well. It was good that we were able to visit various popular spots, as we wouldn't have been able to do so efficiently on our own.

皆さんの体験談から、外国の方と日本人の両方向けにガイドしてくれると思っていましたが、英語での案内が大部分を占めていました。最低限の必要な部分は日本語でも案内してくれます。
初めての京都でしたので、もっと日本語でも案内してくれるものだと期待していたので残念でした。
ガイドの方にも外国人向けのツアーですが、大丈夫ですか？といった感じで心配されました。
ガイドさんも気を遣って、頑張って日本語の案内もしてくださっていた印象です。
自分たちだけでは人気スポットを効率よく観光する事はできなかったので、色々回れたことは良かったです。

As others have mentioned, the guide was a Chinese woman. Even after the meeting time had passed, there was no explanation, and we finally moved to the bus about 15 minutes later. Inside the bus, she provided a brief explanation using a tablet. Since I had brought a guidebook, she explained using that map. This tour did not include meals, so it was nice to have the freedom to eat at Takayama Ramen (near the bus stop) and use our time freely. It was snowing in Shirakawa-go, which added to the charm. I was able to enjoy my two hours of free time by buying water pudding as a souvenir and visiting Wada House.

他の方が書かれているように、ガイドさんは中国人の女性でした。集合時間が過ぎても何の説明も無く、15分ほど過ぎてようやくバスに移動。バスの中で簡単な説明をタブレットを使ってしてくれます。私はガイドブックを持参していたので、その地図で説明してくれました。このツアーは食事がついていないので、高山ラーメン(バスの停車場近く)で食べたり自由に時間を使えて良かったです。白川郷では雪が降っていて、風情があって良かったです。水プリンをお土産に買ったり、和田家を見学したり2時間の自由時間で結構楽しめました。

I was worried about the snow from the previous day, but thankfully it cleared up on the day itself! Thanks to that, I was able to see the snowy scenery of Shirakawa-go during this season. Of course, the guide was very articulate and easy to understand, making it a satisfying day.

前日からの雪が心配だったが、当日は何とか回復！
そのおかげでこの時期なのに雪景色の白川郷を見ることが出来ました^_^もちろんガイドの方もすごく話しが上手で分かりやすく満足な1日でした。

The sightseeing time was very well considered... I was able to fully enjoy the places I wanted to visit in Kyoto‼️

What was disappointing was that for lunch... I had ordered the tofu set meal, but everyone on the bus had the tempura set meal.

But! Everyone on the bus was very gentlemanly, and I had a very meaningful day! I am grateful! Thank you very much!
