Lunch spots were crowded everywhere, and individuals had to wait in line, but it was really great that our tour included meals. The highlights that could have been confusing were explained by our guide, which was fantastic. The Shirakawa-go bus terminal on Saturday was packed with tourists, and it seemed like buying bus tickets would be quite a challenge. I felt that coming on a tour was definitely the right choice!

However, I was very satisfied that we were able to visit Arashiyama while it was still light out.

The tour guide was very kind, and their detailed explanations for foreign visitors showed their dedication. This trip was a wonderful experience for me and my son. I think the tour planning was excellent. It would be difficult to visit all the scattered attractions in one day on your own.

Most of the participants were from China, with a few others from different countries, and there were only a few Japanese people. The tour guide provided explanations in Japanese, Chinese, and English, which was reassuring with their polite and fluent Japanese.

The itinerary included about two hours in Takayama and two hours of free time in Shirakawa-go, which was nice as there was a decent amount of time for exploration despite it being a longer trip. The snowy streets of Takayama were very lovely! It was drizzling in Shirakawa-go, but the snowy scenery from the observation deck was magnificent, making it feel like I was wandering through a fairy tale, fulfilling my dream. I think this is a great tour for travelers with limited time, allowing them to compactly explore Hida Takayama and Shirakawa-go!

As soon as I checked my email, I realized I had come too early and spent some time in the station. After that, I was able to board the bus at the correct meeting time. Since I was participating alone, a foreign man (maybe from Taiwan?) sat next to me on the bus, which was a bit uncomfortable. However, he wasn't noisy, so I felt relieved. The tour guide provided detailed explanations about the sights and what souvenirs to buy while looking at the map on the bus, which was very easy to understand. I don't have a habit of walking in my daily life, but the time allocation was enjoyable and manageable.

Due to the long holiday, the tourist spots were bustling with a large number of people. Many participants were foreigners, and the guide spoke in both English and Japanese, which made me feel a bit like I was overseas. It was a tour that covered four locations in one day, so it was understandable, but I felt that there wasn't enough time at each place. The lunch, a Kyoto tofu set meal, had everything except the yudofu served cold, which felt a bit harsh on my chilled body, and I couldn't eat much. I signed up for this to help international students learn about Japanese culture. I was satisfied with visiting the main spots like Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu Temple, Kinkaku-ji, and Arashiyama. The guide explained everything in both Japanese and English, which made it easy to understand. For lunch, we had tofu dishes, but it would have been nice to have yuba as well.

At first, I was worried that I had mistakenly signed up for a tour aimed at overseas tourists, but that wasn't the case; apparently, many Japanese participants join during the autumn foliage season. At Kiyomizu Temple, we had plenty of time to enjoy lunch and explore freely, but at the other temples and shrines, there wasn't much time before the meeting point, and the distance to the bus stop and sightseeing spots might be hard for elderly people (I participated with my mother, who is 76 years old).
The meeting time was 9:05 AM, and we finished at Kyoto Station at 6:30 PM, so it turned out to be longer than I expected, and I was exhausted. Just for reference, I am a 42-year-old person of average build (laughs).
The guide's stories related to the sightseeing spots in English were very enjoyable and educational!

I participated without lunch and without an entrance fee. Since my husband is not fond of tofu, there weren't many choices. In the end, it was good that we didn't have lunch! If you have some rice balls or bread on the bus, you can enjoy a lot of food while walking around and see various sights. We were able to visit four main tourist spots in Kyoto in one day, which was very worthwhile. The entrance fees were 500 yen and 400 yen, and I was able to buy them smoothly without any crowds.

At the last stop, Arashiyama, I got lost and separated from the group, but since I had mentioned that I would be returning by train, I was able to see the World Heritage temple and had an extra hour to explore, which made me even more satisfied. I highly recommend the tour content.

The guide was fun and kind, but I found the English a bit difficult to understand due to a hurried feeling, so I rated it four stars.

最後の嵐山では迷ってはぐれてしまいましたが、電車で帰る事を伝えていたので、世界遺産のお寺も見れたし1時間余分にゆっくりと回れたので、更に満足でした。ツアー内容はお勧めです。

ガイドさんは楽しくて親切な方でしたが、慌てる感じで英語が分かりにくく、星4とさせて頂きました。

The guide spoke very little Japanese, and there was a lack of information. Communication was difficult due to their broken Japanese, which caused a lot of trouble. They mostly explained things in Chinese and spent a lot of time on their Instagram and talking on the phone with friends.
