As everyone has mentioned, this is a tour aimed at foreign visitors from Asia. Since it's a day trip to Takachiho, there’s no wasted time, and we don’t stop at souvenir shops, which allows us to fully enjoy the local experience. There were three Japanese people, including myself and a friend. Most of the participants were from Taiwan, and Chinese was the main language spoken, but important points and simple explanations were provided in Japanese for the three of us. The driver also engaged with us during breaks, which was reassuring. The foreign participants were very quiet, and it seemed that everyone had signed up individually, which was polite. It was a strange experience to have a guide speaking Chinese in Japan. The meals were good, and there were no people drinking alcohol, which helped keep us on schedule. Since it’s quite a walking tour, wearing comfortable sneakers is advisable. I would love to participate again. Thank you to the guide and driver on January 17th.

I wanted to visit Takachiho Gorge and the surrounding shrines, but I was considering how inconvenient transportation would be without a car. Then I found this tour, which had a great schedule and content, so I decided to join.

Although it was an inbound tour, the guide was knowledgeable about Japanese language and history, and was very friendly. I participated alone, but I was able to chat along the way and really enjoyed the tour.

For lunch, we ate at a charming restaurant with a thatched roof, serving a variety of beautiful and delicious dishes, which left me very satisfied!

Takachiho Gorge had a stunning contrast between the deep green water and the waterfalls. I had seen many photos, but the power and grandeur that can only be experienced on-site was truly moving.

The last stop, Amano Iwato Shrine, was a place I really wanted to visit. It was a very clean and pure location, and just being there and praying felt like it cleared my heart!

I had such a great time that I would love to join the same course again. Thank you for the enjoyable and moving memories!

高千穂峡と周辺の神社に行きたかったのですが、車がないと回り切るには交通が不便で思案していた所、こちらのツアーが日程も内容も良かったので参加させて頂きました。

インバウンド向けのツアーではありましたが、ガイドさんも日本語や歴史に精通していてとても気さくな方で、1人で参加しましたが道中お話させて頂いて楽しくツアーを回る事ができて楽しかったです。

ランチも茅葺き屋根の建物がある雰囲気のあるご飯屋さんで、品数が多く見栄えのする美味しいご飯で大満足でした！

高千穂峡は深い深緑の水の色合いと滝のコントラストが見事で、写真では散々見ましたが現地でないと体感出来ない迫力や壮大さがあって大感動。

最後の天岩戸神社は本当に行きたかった所で、とても空気のキレイな清浄な場所で伺って祈るだけで心が現れる様でした！

とても楽しかったので、同じコースでもう一回参加したいくらいです。楽しく感動的な思い出を有難うございました！

I wanted to go to Shirakawa-go, so I stayed in Kanazawa the night before and participated in a bus tour alone from the morning. I was too eager and mistakenly arrived at the meeting place an hour early, finding no one there, which left me in shock. As soon as I checked my email, I realized I had come too early and spent some time in the station. After that, I was able to board the bus at the correct meeting time. Since I was participating alone, a foreign man (maybe from Taiwan?) sat next to me on the bus, which was a bit uncomfortable. However, he wasn't noisy, so I felt relieved. The tour guide provided detailed explanations about the sights and what souvenirs to buy while looking at the map on the bus, which was very easy to understand. It was a day with a lot of snow after a heavy snowfall, so the guide pointed out areas where the snow had melted and turned into water, as well as places that were deep in snow and difficult to walk through, which helped us navigate efficiently. There were many foreign guests, so an interpreter was on board to explain the tour guide's Japanese explanations in detail in English. It was also a fun way to practice my English. I understood well the quiet and calm charm of Gokayama compared to Shirakawa-go thanks to the tour guide's explanations. 白川郷へ行きたくて金沢前泊し、朝からバスツアーに一人で参加しました。はりきり過ぎて時間を1時間早く集合場所に間違えて行ってしまい、誰もいなくて茫然としました。すぐメールを確認したところ、早く来てしまったことが解り、駅の中で時間をつぶしました。その後無事集合時間にバスに乗れました。一人参加だったので、バスのお席、隣りに知らない外国人男性が座り（台湾の人？）ちょっと嫌だったかな？　でも特に騒いだりする人でなく安心できました。添乗員さんが行きのバスの中で地図を見ながら、見どころやお土産に何を買ったらいいのかなど詳しく説明して下さってとても解りやすかったです。雪がたくさん降った後のお天気の日だったので、雪が解けて水になって流れている所や、雪深く歩きにくい所など、注意箇所を教えて下さり、おかげで効率よく回ることができました。外国人客が多かったので通訳の人が乗っていて、添乗員さんの日本語の説明を詳しく英語で説明されていました。英語の勉強にもなって楽しかったです。五箇山の、白川郷に比べて静かで落ち着いた良さも添乗員さんの説明でよく理解できました。行程ずっと添乗員さんも運転手さんもともて親切で、いつも声かけして下さり、気持ち良く回ることができました。一人でも安心して参加できました。ずっと見たかった雪の白川郷を見ることができ、感無量でした。

I was in a situation where I didn't understand the attractions, meeting points, or times, and when I asked, they only provided the time. Whenever I go to Arashiyama, I always take a boat ride down the Hozu River and then enjoy walking around and eating in Arashiyama. It's so much fun, and I recommend it especially during the autumn foliage and cherry blossom seasons as it's beautiful. You might get a little wet. There are no restrooms for about two hours, so make sure to go before you start.

There were about 20 participants, including myself as the only Japanese, a Korean parent and child, and the rest were Chinese (including the guide). Instead of a sightseeing bus, we departed in three HiAce vans from a taxi company. We were informed that there would be no restroom breaks for the first two hours, so we headed towards Kumamoto Castle. Once we arrived, there was immediately a restroom break, and after receiving our entrance tickets, we had free time. Overall, everyone seemed to share similar impressions as the reviews suggested. Indeed, compared to Japanese travel companies, they might be slightly less efficient, but considering the public transportation is inconvenient around Aso, if you view it as transportation and lunch costs, I had no particular complaints.

By the way, since the participation date was just before a holiday, we returned an hour late due to heavy traffic. (Later, when I spoke with other travel companies, they mentioned that the traffic on that day was quite severe.) If you have a flight to catch, please be cautious.

参加は、日本人は自分だけ、韓国人親子、あとは中国人(ガイドさんも)の約20名。観光バスではなく、タクシー会社のハイエース3台で出発。2時間まではトイレ休憩なしとのことで、熊本城へ向かいました。着いたら、すぐトイレ時間があり、入場券をもらったら、その後は自由行動。概ね、皆さんが口コミ通りの感想です。たしかに、日本の旅行会社と比較すると、若干手際が悪いかも知れませんが、阿蘇のあたりは公共交通機関が不便なので、交通費+ランチ代と割り切っていれば、特に不満はありません。
ちなみに、参加日が祝日前で帰りがすごい渋滞で1時間遅れの帰着でした。(後日、他の旅行会社さんと話したところ、この日の渋滞はすごかったと話題になっていたそうです。)飛行機の時間がある方などはご注意を。

The result was a great success; I immersed myself in a leisurely time while admiring the colorful autumn leaves along both banks of the river. Although the water level was low, resulting in a two-hour ride—double the usual time—it was still delightful, with the sounds of waterfowl and the humorous commentary from the boatmen making it an unforgettable experience. I am very grateful to the crew for their kindness and commitment to safety. I would love to take a ride again during cherry blossom season.

I took a boat ride during this year's autumn foliage season (November 26). According to the boatman, the water level was low due to a water shortage, causing the boat's bottom to hit rocks, which created a loud noise that was a bit frightening, but it also added to the thrill. Despite the low water volume, there was a sense of speed, and I almost got splashed several times, desperately guarding myself with a plastic sheet. The autumn leaves were beautiful, and along the way, we encountered a trolley train, waving enthusiastically at each other. I would love to take another ride at a different time in the future. The boatman mentioned that the water volume is higher in March and April, which is his favorite time of year.

For someone like me who doesn't own a car, being able to take a bus for a day trip was a significant advantage. I was concerned that visiting two places might leave us with too little time, but even with lunch, we were able to take our time and thoroughly enjoy the experience, which left me very satisfied.

The tour consisted of just the two of us and a group of three women, with the rest being foreigners. Everyone was very well-behaved, not making noise on the bus or being late, which impressed me. The tour guide was also a Chinese woman, who was friendly and charming, making a good impression.

It was my first time visiting this place, and it felt like a city rich in history, which was very refreshing. The weather held up until we reached Takayama, but when we arrived at Shirakawa-go, it started to rain mixed with hail, making the sightseeing quite tough; that was a bit disappointing.

There was a traffic jam in Ichinomiya, and we were about 30 minutes late, but we arrived back on schedule, which was a relief. I also appreciated the driver’s help, thank you very much.
