It's located just a short walk from Harajuku Station, in an easy-to-find place.
There are a total of 9 owls, and you have about 40 minutes of interaction time during the hour.
They vary in size and expression, but all are very gentle, and I enjoyed petting them and having them perch on my arm.

We reserved to meet with the owls ahead of time, which made things easier. The staff were very kind and are good with communicating in English. The owls were, of course, my favorite part! I got excited when we held them. Would come back to this particular owl cafe, when I come back to visit Tokyo.

I took my two daughters, ages 12 and 13 to the owl cafe this afternoon. We had an excellent time.

When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and seated at a traditional Japanese table with floor cushions. There were colouring materials and reading materials for our use.

We were served our choice of drinks that were included. They advised us of our entry time into the owl room, which was about 15 minutes after our arrival. This gave us time to drink tea, and familiarize ourselves with all of the owls that we could see through the glass walls of the owl room. Pictures on the wall helped us to match the owls to their names, and read about their species and other facts.

When our turn came, we were helped to disinfect our hands, then welcomed in to the owl room. Inside, the owl caretaker walked us through how to best touch and interact with each of the owls. We were encouraged to take pictures and assisted to set up our shots so they turned out well. We were helped to hold as many of the owls as we wished. We stayed inside the room until we felt that we were finished, then returned to our table to chat. We did not feel rushed at all. Before leaving, one of the staff gave us some beautiful fans with pictures of the owls on them.

It was a really fabulous experience! The owls were all friendly, as were the staff. I would highly recommend it, even for those who do not particularly like birds, like myself. I found it to be a very lovely and moving experience. Do try it!

Real Owls!!!

We had so much fun being around the owls! You can actually pet (gently) the owls on the back of the head and have them perched on your arm, shoulder or on top of your head! Just beware of the possible poop! The room is small and cozy and you have to climb 5 flights of narrow stairs but it's worth it to be around these amazing animals. The variety of different owls is also impressive as they have from very small to large owls of different types. The only thing is it's not a cafe, don't expect food or hot drink like coffee. You do get a drink, but it's just a cold small bottle of green tea or lemonade. Overall my family loved it!

I came at 7pm on a weekday and there were only 4 other people. we had 3 employees and had a lot of attention. there were exactly 5 owls so everyone always got to play with one. the owls were docile and very cute except one pooped on me! so dress appropriately. would definitely go again

I participated with a friend.
It's located about a 3-minute walk from Ginza Station, just one street behind the main road. There's a sign slightly above eye level.
It seems that the sessions are on an hourly rotation, so since we arrived a bit early, we waited outside until our reservation time. The interior is about the size of a 6-tatami mat room, and there were 10 owls waiting for us.
Rather than just observing the owls while having tea, it's a place where you can really interact with them.
We received an explanation on how to interact with the owls, and then the one-hour session started.
At first, they were completely still, like dolls, but after about ten minutes of interaction, we could see various personalities, with some flying around energetically, others coming closer to people, and some just sleeping.
It was apparently the annual feather molting season, and there was an adorable owl that was quite bald.
The staff were always attentive, letting the owls perch on our shoulders, taking photos for us, and explaining the individual characteristics of each owl in detail.
Above all, it was an hour filled with healing from the fluffy owls.

丁度1年に一度の羽の生え代わりシーズンらしく、はげちゃびんになっている愛らしいフクロウがいました。
定員さんは常に気を使ってくださり、肩に乗っけてくれたり、写真を撮ってくれたり、個体別にどのような特徴があるのかなどを細かに説明してくださいました。
なによりモフモフなフクロウ達に癒された1時間でした。

Time really flies in there. haha
The owls are amazing and cute. Visitors could touch and pet them gently. They feel so soft!!
The shop assistants would put the owl on your head/shoulder/arm if you request.

As others have said, it is a little challenging to find the location. Even with GPS we walked right past the building initially. I posted a photo of the sign in the hopes that it helps other people find the building more easily.

That said, it's completely worth it. The owls were beautiful and friendly, and the staff was so helpful and nice. Talk about a unique opportunity!

I had wanted to visit for a long time, so this time I signed up with a friend. The location was very close to Ginza Station and easy to find. Although it’s called a café, it’s not like other places where you drink coffee while watching owls through glass; instead, it’s a place where you can interact with owls by petting them and taking photos.

The staff were very friendly and would place the owls on your hand without you even asking, and they took pictures for you as well. At first, I was scared of the larger owls thinking they might peck me with their beaks, but that was just my assumption; they were all very calm and gentle. Even when I reached out to pet their heads, they didn’t show any signs of discomfort and let me pet them. The smaller owls had big, round eyes that seemed to gaze back at me without breaking eye contact, making it feel like I was being drawn into their eyes. They were so cute and truly healing. I didn’t know owls could be this adorable. I think I might become addicted to this experience.

If you go to the 7 PM session, it’s dinner time, so you can also feed the owls as an option.

場所は銀座駅から近くとてもわかりやすかったです。カフェとなっていますがほかのお店のようにガラス越しでフクロウを見ながらコーヒーを飲むタイプの喫茶店ではなく、ひたすらフクロウをなでたり、写真をとったりとフクロウに触れ合うことができる店でした。
スタッフの方はとてもフレンドリーで頼まなくてもフクロウを手に載せてくれたり、手に載せたところを写真にとってくれたりしました。
からだの大きい子はくちばしでつつかれそうで最初怖かったのですが、それは私の思い込みで、みんなとてもおとなしいいい子でした。頭をなでようと手を出しても、特にいやな顔もせず、頭をなでなでさせてくれました。小さい子は目が大きくてくりくりして、目を離さず覗き込むように見つめ返してくれるので、瞳に吸い込まれそうでした。とってもかわいくて本当に癒されました。こんなにフクロウがかわいいとは知らなかった。くせになりそうです。
19時の回に行くと夕食の時間なので、オプションでえさやりもできるそうです。

I went after watching "Pittanko Kankan" (laughs). It was my first time touching an owl, and I hadn't seen many at the zoo either, but they are really cute! They were calm and let me pet them on their backs without any fuss. I couldn't help but take lots of pictures because they are just so adorable.

At first, my friend was a bit scared and couldn't pet them much, but the owls here are so well-behaved that she quickly got used to them and was able to pet them too. The texture of their feathers is really nice. They are so fluffy!! And I feel like they are staring at me with their big, round eyes. I ended up falling in love with that owl (laughs).

The staff were very enthusiastic about providing service; they let the owls perch on their hands, shoulders, and even heads! I thought their claws might hurt, but it didn't hurt at all! They also taught us a lot about owls and answered our questions. There are various types of owls, so I believe you'll definitely find your favorite owl when you visit! Each one has a different face and eyes, and they are all cute.
