We participated as a pair. Since it was our first time doing marine sports, we decided to go for a full-day plan. I was worried because my companion wasn't a strong swimmer, but the guide adjusted the pace to match our comfort levels, which made us feel very secure.

In the morning, we went snorkeling at Shigira Beach, and in the afternoon, we enjoyed stand-up paddleboarding at Imugya Marine Garden.

Due to certain circumstances, we couldn't use a rental car and took a taxi instead, but the guide was kind enough to arrange transportation to a recommended lunch spot (transportation fee: 1,000 yen). Since there was no place to change clothes or kill time before the afternoon marine sports, I recommend going by rental car.

Although the main guides were different in the morning and afternoon, both were very kind and took many photos that we, as beginners in marine sports, would not have been able to capture ourselves, creating memorable experiences. Thank you very much!

午前にシギラビーチでシュノーケリング、午後はイムギャーマリンガーデンでSAPを楽しみました。

事情がありレンタカーが使えずタクシーで向かったのですが、ガイドの方がオススメのランチの場所まで送迎もお願いできました。(送迎代1,000円)
午後のマリンスポーツまでの時間を潰す事や、着替える場所などもない為、レンタカーで行く事をオススメします。

午前、午後でメインのガイドの方は違いましたがどちらの方もとても親切でマリンスポーツ初心者の私達では撮れない写真もたくさん撮ってくださり思い出に残る体験ができました。本当にありがとうございました！

It was my first time paddleboarding at 51 years old, but thanks to the dual-sport guide who could do both snow sports and marine sports, I was able to enjoy it safely and securely. When the bright red sun peeked over the horizon, I felt I understood a little of how the people of Okinawa cherish their gods. The rolling waves, the wind, and the vast ocean and sky spread out before me made me feel like I was truly a part of nature. It was an overwhelming experience!!! And so much fun!!! I will never forget it. I hope to be taken care of again, thank you very much.

They also took commemorative photos and sent the data for free. The guide was very articulate, and I was able to enjoy the bus ride without getting bored at all! They shared many tips about scenic spots not listed in the Ishigaki Island guidebook, recommended delicious restaurants, and ways to enjoy Ishigaki Island, making me really glad I participated in this tour! On January 26th, the first day of my stay in Miyako Island, I imagined that the thick clouds during the day meant I wouldn't be able to see the starry sky. However, I was excited about the night exploration.

Walking in complete darkness, relying only on the flashlight, we had a great time as the guide explained various things and searched for coconut crabs.

In the end, it was disappointing that we only found bats and couldn't see the stars or the coconut crabs, but I thought it was understandable given the season.

Still, it was fun!

Since this was the first activity of my stay, the guide also recommended some delicious places to eat and shared knowledge about plants during the tour, which was helpful for sightseeing on the following days.

Next time, I want to go during a season when I can see the stars and coconut crabs for a rematch!

1月26日 滞在初日の宮古島は昼間から雲が厚く星空は期待出来ないのは想像ついていました。
まあでも夜の探検は面白そうだなってワクワクでした。
真っ暗な中、懐中電灯の明かりだけを頼りに歩きながら色々な事を説明してくれたり、ヤシガニを捜索しながら歩いたり、楽しい時間を過ごしました。

結局 星空もヤシガニも観れずコウモリを見つけただけで残念でしたが、季節柄仕方ないな〜と思います。


でも、楽しかった♡

滞在初日の初アクティビティでしたので、ガイドのお兄さんに美味しいお店を教えて貰ったり、植物の知識もツアー中入れてくれたので2日目以降の観光の参考になったので良かったです♡

次は星空とヤシガニが観られる時期に行ってリベンジしたいです！

I made a reservation the day before, and the shop staff was very quick to respond, which made me feel very reassured for the day of the activity.

We started with stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). It was my first time, but the staff member Gori explained everything carefully, and I was able to go at my own pace, which was great! They helped me in any tricky spots, and I had a lot of fun.

During snorkeling, the support from the two staff members was excellent. I was very satisfied to see two sea turtles! They also provided explanations about the fish each time, which was very informative.

I was worried since it was my first time kayaking, but I was given detailed instructions before we set off, which made the experience very enjoyable. The rental options for shoes and clothing were also well-equipped, and even though I was unprepared, I still had a great time. In the morning, I did SUP at Ingyā. In the afternoon, I went on a snorkeling tour at Shigira. Although it was unfortunately cloudy, I was able to enjoy the day. Both the SUP and snorkeling were about an hour each, and I had a relaxing time. For the SUP, they were particular about taking photos, and I received some great commemorative pictures from good angles. Although I didn't see any sea turtles while snorkeling, the explanations about the fish were enjoyable. There were some first-timers in snorkeling, but the guide always prioritized safety, so I recommend it for those trying snorkeling for the first time! After snorkeling, the sun started to peek through the clouds, and it was nice to see a bit of sunshine even in January. Next time, I plan to do sunset SUP. Thank you!

あいにくの曇り空でしたが、１日楽しむことができました。SUPもシュノーケリングもそれぞれ１時間程度でしたが、のんびり楽しむことができました。SUPは、写真にこだわって頂き、いいアングルでの記念写真を頂きました。シュノーケリングは、ウミガメには会えないものの、魚の説明など楽しめた内容でした。シュノーケリングが初めての方もいましたが、常にガイドが安全を考慮されていましたので、初めてシュノーケリングの方にはおすすめです！
シュノーケリングのあとで、薄日がさしてきて、1月でも少し太陽が見えたのがよかったかなー。

I was looking for an event to fill my free time during the night in Ishigaki Island, and that's when I signed up for this. There were 10 participants on the tour, and since we had a large bus, the seats were spacious. The tour guide did not accompany us, but the tour conductor provided information about the sightseeing spots, and it was enjoyable thanks to their extensive knowledge. There were also foreign participants, but the tour conductor explained everything in fluent English, so we were able to gather and tour on time without any issues. The weather was cloudy with strong winds and occasional rain, but I was glad we could see all the sights. It's a pity that if the weather had been better, we could have seen even more wonderful views, but I would like to participate again for a revenge tour.

ツアー参加者は１０名で大型バスだったので座席はゆったりでした。
バスガイドさんは同乗せずに添乗員さんが観光地の案内などしてくれましたが、知識豊かで楽しく過ごせました。
外国人の方もいましたが、添乗員さんが流暢な英語で説明していたので集合なども問題なく時間通りに観光できました。
当日は曇っていて風が強く時々雨が降る天候でしたがひと通り観光できて良かったです。
天候が良ければもっと素晴らしい景色を見られたと思うと残念ですが、またリベンジでまた参加したいと思います。

I made a reservation because I heard that Kerama is the best.
For those who will make reservations in the future, I will share the good points and disappointing points.

**Good Points**
We were able to swim in the most beautiful spot at the end.
For those who can't swim, you can hold onto a bodyboard.
There were also people who borrowed life jackets for the sea if they asked.
You can float comfortably just with a wetsuit, so don't worry!
Unlike overseas, there are waves, which makes it fun.

**Disappointing Points**
I heard from others and online that Kerama is the best, but if you've done this in Guam, Saipan, or Hawaii, don't get your hopes up. It really is inferior to overseas options.

**Reference Points**
There were people who got seasick, so it's better to take motion sickness medication. If you get seasick, you won't be able to enjoy it.
Of course, if you feel sick, it's best to not hold back and just throw up.
The boat is non-smoking, so you can smoke in front of the boat until just before departure. Bring an ashtray. I use IQOS, so I kept it in the box.
It might be a good idea to bring a plastic bottle. You can drink water from paper cups on the boat, but a plastic bottle is more convenient.

他の人やネットからの情報で慶良間が一番と聞いてましたがグアム、サイパン、ハワイなどでやった人は期待したらダメです。やっぱり海外よりは劣る。

船酔いしてた人がいたので、酔い止めは飲んだ方がいいですよ。船酔いしたら楽しめないですからね
もちろん酔ったら我慢せず吐くのが一番
船は禁煙なので、出発直前まで船の前でタバコ吸えます。灰皿持参。私はアイコスなので箱に入れてました。
ペットボトルは持参した方がいいかな。船に紙コップで水飲めるけど、ペットボトルがラク。

I changed my schedule to participate after checking the weather forecast just before. Even though it was the New Year period, there were many participants, and we took a bus and a van to a beach about 30 minutes away.
We split into groups of about ten and made our way through the forest from the road to the beach while observing the wildlife, and we were able to see a starry sky at the beach. ⭐
I participated with my child, and since their interest in wildlife was endless, we fell behind significantly from the other groups, but the guides accommodated our pace. Since we weren't rushed, my child was very satisfied. We even got to see a small coconut crab.
During the ride, our talkative guide entertained us with stories about Ishigaki Island and the wildlife, so we never got bored.
It was a lot of fun, thank you!

直前の天気予報を見てスケジュールを変更して参加しました。年始の時期でしたが、たくさんの参加者がおり、バスやワゴン車に分乗して30分くらい離れたビーチへ行きました。
10人くらいのグループに分かれ、道路からビーチまでの林の中を生物の観察をしながら進み、ビーチでは満点の星空を見ることができました⭐
子連れで参加し、生物への子どもの興味が尽きないため、他のグループから大幅に遅れながらも子どものペースに寄り添ってくれました。急かされなかったので子どもも大満足でした。小ぶりながらもヤシガニにも会えました。
車中ではお話上手なガイドさんが石垣島や生物の話をして楽しませてくれ、退屈することがありませんでした。

The canoe experience in Awa was a beginner-friendly spot with a gentle river. The view of Kyushu's highest peak was beautiful. I was grateful for the thorough instructions on the terrain and paddling techniques.

Instead of the waterfall, we changed to river climbing. We climbed using ropes and other equipment with the guide. It felt special and safer than going alone, as we could use the gear to move around.

If you go alone, the price is higher. I thought it was expensive since there are no refunds even if the menu changes due to typhoon impacts. The guide recommended places like Crystal Cape and the path next to Okawa Falls, but they were difficult to find and not suitable for someone going alone. I don't think it's a place I could recommend for first-time visitors to Yakushima.

It was our first time, but it was great that they properly taught us how to paddle.

We kayaked back and forth on the Hija River, and during that time, the instructor shared various information, from plants and animals to recommendations for Okinawa. It was a valuable experience to see mangroves, banyan trees, rare kingfishers, and mongooses, and we had a lot of fun!

I was able to borrow waterproof pants, so my bottom didn't get wet, which was nice.

I also received a mangrove seed, and I will take care of it when I get home! I'm looking forward to it!

I had my doubts about a winter trip to Okinawa, but Okinawa was just as I expected! It was much warmer than Tokyo, and when the sun came out, it was even hot enough to wear short sleeves! I was fortunate with the weather during my trip.

Iriomote Island was my first visit, and it made me feel like this is the real Okinawa, with its stunning natural beauty. It felt almost like being abroad. I had a fantastic time in the overwhelming nature! I highly recommend it.

冬の沖縄なんて…とくる前は思っていた沖縄旅行でしたが、やはり沖縄は沖縄でした！
東京よりも全然暖かくて晴れ間が見えると半袖でも暑いくらい！旅行中は天気にも恵まれたので良かったです！
西表島は初めてで、これが本当の沖縄なのか、と思わせられるような大自然。ほぼ海外。
圧倒的大自然の中とても楽しめました！

Unfortunately, it was raining (quite heavily), but I was able to reach the top. If it had been sunny, I might have been able to go without a guide, but thanks to the guide's appropriate judgments in the rain, I was able to enjoy the experience with peace of mind until the end.

The rain made the conditions tough, and unfortunately, some participants in the same tour had to retire partway through. I am grateful that the guide was there to help make the decision of whether to continue or not.

By the time we started descending, the weather improved, and I was able to see various expressions of Yakushima, from rain to light rain to sunshine, which turned out to be very nice.

The guide provided a wealth of information about the various Yakusugi trees and Yakushima, which I was very satisfied with. Thank you!

あいにくの雨（結構強め）でしたが、最後まで登り切ることができました。
晴れていたらガイド無しでも行けたかもしれないですが、雨の中でもガイドさんが適切に判断いただいたので、安心して最後まで楽しめました。

雨でコンディションがハードになり、同じツアーに参加した方の中でも、残念ながら途中でリタイアした方もいました。
ここらへんの、行く・行かないの判断も、やはりガイドさんが付いていてくれたからこそだなと、感謝しております。

下りに入るころには、天候も回復し、雨→小雨→晴れと屋久島の色々な表情が見れたことも結果的にはとても良かったです。

ガイドさんの色々な屋久杉や屋久島に関する説明も豊富で、そこも非常に満足しております。ありがとうございました！

I visited Ishigaki and Iriomote for Christmas. Since it was my first time in Iriomote, I wanted to join a tour, so I booked one here. I tried canyoning, and before participating, I was a bit worried because it was winter and I thought it might be cold in Iriomote. キャニオニングに挑戦したのですが、参加する前は冬だし西表といっても寒そうだなと少し心配していたのですが、ウェットスーツも貸していただけましたし最後にシャワーも浴びさせてもらい、最後まで問題なく楽しむことが出来ました。担当していただいたガイドさんも優しく終始「寒くないですか？体調大丈夫ですか？」など配慮してくれて、とても優しかったです。いい思い出になりました。ありがとうございました。

During this trip, I also went on snorkeling and kayaking tours, but this tour was the most fun. I was mainly interested in the starry sky, so the night jungle was secondary, but I really enjoyed the jungle. Just walking with a flashlight in the dark was exciting. Having a guide made me feel safe. I was able to see coconut crabs and owls, as well as some rare insects. The guide taught us a lot, which was very educational.

The sky was cloudy, but we were able to see the starry sky just when it cleared up. The guide provided many explanations about the constellations, which increased my knowledge about stars. It was also nice to hear stories about Ishigaki Island during the van ride. I'm glad I participated.

今回の旅行で他にシュノーケルやカヤックツアーも行きましたが、このツアーが一番楽しかったです。
星空目当てで、ナイトジャングルは二の次でしたがジャングルとても楽しめました。暗闇の中懐中電灯を持って歩くだけでもワクワクしました。ガイドさんがいるから安心ですし。ヤシガニやフクロウも見れたし他にも珍しい昆虫も見れました。ガイドさんが色々教えてくれるのでとても勉強にもなりました。
空は曇ってましたが、ちょうどクリアになるタイミングで星空を見ることが出来ました。星座の説明もたくさんして下さって星の知識が増えました。
バンでの移動中も石垣島の話を聞けて良かったです。

On the day of the trekking, we were blessed with clear weather, and we could see Mount Miyanoura along the way. A week prior, I received a message saying that it had snowed and that crampons might be necessary, which made me think I would have to give up on joining the tour. However, we ended up trekking 20 km round trip without needing crampons, achieving 42,000 steps and conquering the equivalent of 15 flights of stairs. We walked along the trolley path, captivated by the guide's stories, and saw the Sandaizuki and Wilson stump (which I wouldn't have known how to view from the right angle to see the heart shape without the guide). According to the guide, December is the off-season, so we had plenty of time to take photos at a leisurely pace. The Great King Cedar, the Couple Cedar, and the Jomon Cedar were all breathtaking. After enduring 7,500 years of wind, rain, and snow, they still looked quite healthy. Approaching my sixties, life may be on a downhill slope, but having met the Jomon Cedar, I feel I can continue to take one step at a time.

トレッキング当日はお天気に恵まれ快晴、途中宮之浦岳も見えました。一週間前に雪が降り、アイゼンが必要かもと連絡が来た時は、ツアー参加を断念かと思いましたが、アイゼン必要なく往復20kmのトレッキング、歩数42000歩を、15階分の階段を制覇できました。トロッコ道はガイドさんの話で飽きる事なく歩き、三代杉、ウィルソン株(これはガイドさんがいなければ、どの角度から見ればハート❤️になるのかわからなかった)。
ガイドさんにらよると、12月はオフシーズンでゆとりがあり、写真もゆっくり撮る事が出来ました。
大王杉、夫婦杉、そして縄文杉、圧巻でした。
7500年風雨、雪に耐えそこにいてくれる、まだまだ元気そうでした。還暦を迎えて人生下り坂ですが、縄文杉に会えてこれからも1歩ずつ進んでいけます。
