The weather was nice, not too hot and not too cold, making it the perfect condition. I think October is a great time for trekking to Jomon Sugi.
The 22 km trek was long, but thanks to the guide's accurate advice and encouragement, I was able to complete it.
The other participants in the tour were also enjoyable to be with, which was great. I plan to challenge myself again.

They will bring the rental items to your accommodation. I borrowed a flashlight but didn't need it.

On the way back, if you ask, they can drop you off at a location other than the accommodation.

The guide was very energetic and provided explanations about the plants and pointed out photo spots! The mountain path after the trolley road can be steep and there are places where the pavement is damaged, so having a guide is definitely safer. They can also show you shortcuts and water sources.

Including myself, there were four guests, and even as a solo participant, I had a great time!

レンタル品は宿まで持ってきてくれます。

帰りは宿以外の場所でもお願いすれば降ろしてくださいます。

とても元気なガイドさんで植物の説明やフォトスポットを教えてくださいました！
トロッコ道のあとの山道は険しく舗装が壊れていたりする場所もあるので、ガイドさんがいてたほうが絶対安全です。近道、水汲み場所も教えてもらえます。

自分含めお客さんは4人で１人参加でも楽しめました！

Honestly, you can walk to Jomon Sugi without a guide, but having one allows for a more enriching trekking experience as we cover the history of Yakushima, the local flora, and how to respond in case of injuries.

Many solo travelers visit Yakushima, and it's common for them to make friends with other guests. If you're from the same area, many end up climbing various mountains together afterward.

Yakushima can be enjoyed in seasons other than autumn as well, so we sincerely look forward to your next visit.

We participated as a family of four. There were concerns about the typhoon, but it was clear and sunny on the day of our trip. I thought it would be cold and rainy, but during the trekking, the temperature was around 22 to 25°C, and even with just a long-sleeve shirt, I was sweating the whole time. At Taiko Rock, there were hardly any clouds, and the view was breathtaking.

The guide provided thorough explanations and planned our route considering our walking pace. On the way back, they offered various advice while keeping our flight schedule in mind. Thanks to them, it truly became a wonderful and enjoyable trip. Thank you very much.

雨で寒いかと思ってましたが、トレッキングの時は22～25℃くらいで、長袖1枚でも歩いているとずっと汗をかきます。太鼓岩では雲もほとんど無く、絶景で感動しました。
ガイドさんは丁寧に説明してくれて、私達の歩く速さを考えて、行ける所を計画してくれて、帰りは飛行機の時間を考慮して色々アドバイスして下さいました。おかげで本当に楽しく、すばらしい旅になりました。ありがとうございました。

On the day of our outing, the weather was a bit uncertain due to an approaching typhoon, but they adjusted the plan with safety in mind, and we had a great time. It was my first time in Miyako Island!! I wanted to go to the Pumpkin Cave, do canoeing, SUP, and snorkeling, so it was a packed tour. The Pumpkin Cave was a hidden gem that we could never have reached on our own! The guide was very kind and taught us canoeing and SUP, and above all, they were great at taking photos!! (laughs) My mother, who said she couldn't swim, really enjoyed snorkeling, which made me happy. We were blessed with good weather, and I think we participated in a wonderful tour. I participated on October 10, 2020. The meeting time was at 6:30 AM during low tide. The day before, the sea was rough due to Typhoon No. 14, but on the day of the tour, it was sunny and the sea conditions were good.
The Pumpkin Cave was beautiful, with impressive stalactites and several small waterfalls inside, creating a lovely scenery. It would have been difficult to enter on my own, so I was glad to join the tour.
Since the meeting was early in the morning, we moved immediately to go snorkeling after the Pumpkin Cave tour. The location was the beach in front of Shigira Hotel, where other tourists were swimming as well, but the guide was there to lead us, so I felt safe swimming. While searching for sea turtles, the guide pointed out clownfish and pufferfish. We swam over a wide area looking for sea turtles, but unfortunately, we couldn't find any, so it seems that meeting them isn't guaranteed.
The guide sent about 100 photos taken during the tour via Line by that evening.
Regarding infection control measures, the meeting was not at the hotel pickup but at a parking lot near the Pumpkin Cave, and we moved to the next snorkeling point by rental car, so there was no crowded situation in the guide's vehicle.

2020年10月10日に参加しました。集合時間は干潮時のタイミングの朝6時半の早朝でした。前日は台風14号の影響で海が荒れていましたが、ツアーの日は晴れ、海の状態も良かったです。
パンプキン鍾乳洞は美しく、洞窟内も立派な鍾乳石と小さな滝が複数ありとても素敵な景色でした。個人で入るのは難しいところなので、ツアーに参加してよかったです。
朝早い集合だったため、パンプキン鍾乳洞ツアー終了後、すぐ移動してシュノーケルをしました。場所はシギラホテルの前のビーチで他の観光客も泳いでいましたが、ガイドさんが案内してくれるため、安心して泳ぐことができました。ウミガメを探す間、カクレクマノミやハリセンボンなどを見つけて教えてくれました。広い範囲を泳いでウミガメを探しましたが、残念ながらウミガメに会うことはできなかったので、必ず会えるわけではなさそうです。
ガイドさんがツアー中にとってくれた写真はその日の夕方にはLineで100枚ほど送ってくださいました。
感染症対策については、集合は宿からのピックアップではなく、パンプキン洞窟近くの駐車場、次のシュノーケルポイントまで各人レンタカーで移動したため、ガイドさんの車で密な状態になることはありませんでした。

This was my second time visiting Jomon Sugi, but I invited a friend who was going for the first time because I thought it would be great. However, I really realized how much the tour can differ depending on the guide. The guide's knowledge was lacking, and even though there were participants who fell multiple times, he ignored them. I fell once, and after a brief pause, I couldn't catch up anymore. My friend and I were saying that if it was going to be like this, it wasn't worth the money we spent to participate.

縄文杉へは2回目でしたが、初めて行く連れにとてもよかったから行こうと誘って参加したツアーでした。ただ本当にガイドさんでこんなにも違うツアーになるんだなと実感。知識は薄いし何度も転んでる参加者がいても無視、私は1度転んで少し間があいたら、もう追いつくことすらできず、連れと2人でこれだったらお金出して参加した意味無いねと言っていました。

I nervously signed up for the beginner canoe course at Bibikawa, fearing the possibility of capsizing. Fortunately, the weather was great, and the guidance from my companions and the instructor was spot on. I was able to enjoy my first canoe experience for about an hour without capsizing (which apparently happens very rarely).

For the first 10 minutes, we were the typical example of a "couple out of sync," bumping into the riverbank in various directions! However, since the current was gentle, if the person sitting in the back takes control, we quickly made progress from being complete beginners. It wasn't long before I had the chance to take some photos too.

Now, it's time to challenge the advanced course! (laughs)

ひっくり返る可能性に恐る恐る申し込んだ美々川カヌー初心者コース　天候にも恵まれ、同行者や引率者の指導も的確で、ひっくり返ることなく（極めて稀にあるらしいけど）初カヌーを約1時間満喫できました。

In mid-September, I booked rafting as the main event of my trip to Hokkaido. There seemed to be several facilities where you could go rafting, but my top priority was to find one that was within an hour's drive from Sapporo.

On the day of the event, the meeting place was easy to find. Thanks to the rain, a mist-like phenomenon was rising from the surface of the river, creating a mystical atmosphere. The river's flow was calmer than I had imagined, but descending the cliff to the river on a single rope and the jumping spots were thrilling and very exciting. The two instructors were very entertaining, and the time flew by. They also took many photos and videos during the rafting.

Since I planned to move to Furano after rafting in the morning, I was concerned about the scheduled end time of 1 PM, but we finished around 11 AM. After that, we bought some freshly baked bread from a delicious bakery in Jozankei and enjoyed it in the car while safely making our way to Furano. It was truly a fun rafting experience. Next time, I want to participate when the water flow is more intense.

当日待ち合わせ場所もすぐにわかりました。雨が降っていたおかげで、川の表面から霧のようなものが発生していて神秘的でした。川の流れは想像していたより穏やかでしたが、川まで降りる崖をロープ一本で降りて行くことや、飛び込みスポットなどスリル満点でとても刺激的でした。インストラクターのお二人のお話しがとても楽しく、あっという間に感じました。ラフティング中の写真やムービーもたくさん撮影していただけました。ラフティングを午前中にしてから富良野へ移動する予定だったので、13時終了予定との予告が気になっていましたが11時ごろには終了しました。そのあと定山渓の美味しい窯焼きのパン屋さんで焼きたてパンをいくつか買って車の中で食べながら富良野まで無事に行くことができました。本当に楽しいラフティングでした。次はもっと水の流れが激しい時期に参加したいです。

We are located about 20 minutes by car from Naha Airport, and even during busy times, it takes around 30 minutes. Our location is convenient for joining the tour after arriving or heading to the airport afterward! Since we are quite close to Naha, it’s a great course to make effective use of your time. The weather was perfect, making for an amazing trekking experience! The shuttle service to near the accommodation and the lunch arrangements were very helpful. The guide was great and matched our pace! Due to COVID-19 precautions, the guide took photos with their camera and sent them to us. The 10-hour trek left us exhausted, but it was a fulfilling time.

宿近くまでの送迎も、昼食の手配も助かりました。

On the day of the activity, the wind was strong due to the approaching typhoon, but we kayaked in a spot with gentle waves. There were a few clouds, but we could see the sunset clearly.
I requested the optional drone photography, and they took a lot of photos and videos. I received the photos right after the activity, and I am moved every time I look at them!
The staff were kind and friendly, and I had a really great time. A swimsuit, towel, and insect repellent spray are essential!
I would definitely like to do this again when I visit Okinawa. Thank you!

当日は台風前の影響で風が強かったですが、穏やかな波の地点でカヤックしました。少し雲がかかっていましたが、夕日はしっかり見えました。

We weren't blessed with good weather, but the sea was still beautiful! There were plenty of fish! I was very satisfied! I have visited Ishigaki Island before, but this was my first time participating in the night safari. Unfortunately, it was drizzling, so we couldn't enjoy stargazing, but instead, we were taken to the beautiful night view at Banna Park! During the night safari, I was able to see many rare creatures unique to the Yaeyama Islands, such as coconut crabs, black-breasted leaf turtles, and Ryukyu scops owls. I was surprised to encounter so many of them. The guide was also cheerful and a great storyteller, making it a fun tour.

石垣島には以前訪れたことがあるのですが、ナイトサファリは今回初めて参加しました。
あいにく小雨が降っており、星空鑑賞はできませんでしたが、そのかわりバンナ公園の素敵な夜景に連れていっていただきました！
ナイトサファリではヤシガニやセマルハコガメ、リュウキュウコノハズクなど八重山固有の珍しい生き物をたくさん見ることができました。こんなに出会えるとは思わなかったのでびっくりしました。
ガイドのお兄さんも明るく話上手で、楽しいツアーになりました。

We participated as a family of four. It was a trial dive just before turning 60. We took a fairly large boat to Kerama. I thought it might get a bit boring since there were a lot of participants, but about half of them were snorkeling around the boat while others were diving, so there was never a dull moment. They also provided fun experiences like diving from the boat into the sea, which kept things exciting. There weren't many people doing three dives, but by the third dive, I was comfortable enough to pose underwater and enjoy myself. The shower rooms and toilets were also much cleaner compared to other companies' boats, thanks to their larger size. I would like to request this again next time, but the hurdle of turning 60...

結構な大型船でケラマまで。
参加人数も多く、ちょっと退屈するかなと思っていましたが、半分くらいが潜っている間は、船の周りでシュノーケリングができて退屈している間がありませんでした。
また船上からの海へのダイブをさせてくれたりと飽きさせない演出で楽しめました。
3ダイブする人はすくなくて、3ダイブ目は慣れたこともあって水中でポーズをとったりと楽しませてくれました。
シャワー室やトイレも別の会社の船と違って大きいだけにキレイでした。
次回もまたお願いしたいと思いますが、60歳越えのハードルが・・・・・

The sea conditions the day before were poor, so we changed our plan from snorkeling to SUP and canyoning. It was both of our first times, but with the thorough explanations, we were able to enjoy it safely.

On the SUP, we spent a relaxing time surrounded by plenty of greenery in the mangroves. The changing scenery over time was also captivating. The gentle current made it possible for beginners to stand up.

Canyoning was a bit scary at first, but once you jump into the river, the fun takes over. The river water might be a little cold. Playing in the midst of nature in 360° was the best way to refresh both mind and body.

Additionally, our guide took photos and shared various information about the flora and fauna and the island, allowing us to fully enjoy Iriomote Island. Next time, I would like to try snorkeling as well.

前日の海の状況が悪く、シュノーケリングからSUP +キャニオニングのプランに変更。
どちらも初めてでしたが、丁寧な説明で安全に楽しむことができました。
SUPはマングローブ内で沢山の緑に触れゆったりとした時間を過ごすことができます。時間で変わっていく景色も魅力的でした。流れが穏やかなので初心者でも立つことができました。
キャニオニングは最初は怖さがありますが、１度川に飛び込めば楽しさの方が勝ちます。少し川の水は冷たいかも。360°大自然の中で思いっきり遊んで心もカラダもリフレッシュできて最高でした。
プラスαでガイドさんが写真を撮ってくださったり、動植物や島のことなど色んなことを教えてくれるので沢山西表島を満喫できました。次は、シュノーケリングも体験してみたいです。

2年前に宮古島に来たのですが台風の影響でシュノーケルやパンプキン鍾乳洞には行けず、、、今回リベンジ！！シュノーケルではガイドの方がウミガメの見れるところまで案内してくれます！海がとても綺麗で魚もいっぱい！ガイドの方が水中で魚の写真をとって後で携帯に送ってくれて嬉しかったです！またパンプキン鍾乳洞では神秘的な世界に圧倒されました。湧水の影響で水が青に見えたり、昔神様にお祈りしていた場所など、ガイドの方が詳しく説明してくださりとても楽しかったです！

It was my first time walking for 10 hours, and I was a bit worried, but I had a great time. Our guide, Tsugimura, was excellent! The long trolley path was filled with games and quizzes, keeping everyone laughing, and we were able to take photos with the guests, which became a nice memory. On the mountain path, using earphones made it easy to hear the conversation even from a distance. On the second day, we had to cut our visit to Shiratani Unsuikyo short due to heavy rain, but we were still able to go sightseeing around the island afterward. It was truly a fun tour! I would love to request this again when I come to Yakushima.

10時間も歩くのは初めてで少し心配でしたが、楽しく歩けました。
ガイドの津曲さんがとても良かったです！
長いトロッコ道もゲームやクイズで笑いが絶えず、お客さん達の写真を撮って最後に頂けて記念になりました。
山道ではイヤホンを使い離れていても話が聞きやすかったです。
2日目の白谷雲水峡は大雨で途中までになってしまいましたが、その後島内観光に行って頂けました。
本当に楽しいツアーでした！屋久島に来るときはまたお願いしたいと思います。

Thank you very much for participating in the Jomon Sugi 1-day tour + Shiratani Unsuikyo (2 days) / Shiratani Unsuikyo 1-day tour.

My guiding style is based on the motto of safety, security, and enjoyment.

Engaging in games and quizzes actually helps keep the brain active, which can reduce the risk of falls.

It was unfortunate that we had to turn back during the Shiratani Unsuikyo due to bad weather and switch to island sightseeing, so we couldn't reach our destination, Taiko Rock.

Taiko Rock is one of the places I highly recommend visiting in Yakushima when the weather is good, so please come and challenge yourself to visit it.
