The trekking itself was a fulfilling and wonderful experience.
However, the rental of climbing gear included in this activity diminished that experience significantly.

The night before the trekking, the climbing gear was delivered to the hotel.
Since this is an activity eligible for the Go To Travel program, I thought they were taking proper COVID-19 precautions, but when I tried to pack my belongings into the backpack, I found a wrapper from shrimp crackers and used tissue paper in the side pocket.
It was hard to believe they had sanitized anything before lending it out, and it was quite unsettling.
I really can't believe they are taking COVID-19 precautions.
It's strange that this is eligible for the Go To Travel program.
I thought I would have to sanitize everything myself to be able to use it, and when I took out the rainwear to sanitize it, I found that the middle of the backside was torn, and there was a hole in the calf area that had been taped shut.
So this is what "rental included" means.

トレッキング自体は充実した、素晴らしい体験でした。
しかしこちらのアクティビティに含まれた登山アイテムレンタルがそれを半減以下にしてしまいました。

トレッキングの前日の夜に登山アイテムをホテルに届けて下さいました。
go to トラベル適用のアクティビティなのでコロナ対策は勿論してくださっていると思っていましたが、ザックに自分の荷物を積めようとしたら、サイドのポケットからえびせんべいの包み紙、使用済のティッシュペーパーが出てきました。
何の除菌もせず貸し出したとしか思えず、ゾッとしました。
とてもコロナ対策をしているとは思えません。
go to トラベル適用なのが不思議です。
これは自分でしっかり除菌をしないととても使えないと思い、レインウェアも取り出して除菌すると、お尻の真ん中は破れていて、脹ら脛にも穴があってセロテープて閉じられていました。
レンタル込みとはこういうことだったのですね。

I was worried about whether I could climb, but the guide kept us entertained, and I was able to safely complete the ascent and descent. I've always wanted to climb at least once in my life, so I'm glad I did. As for my outfit, I regret wearing plain clothes since colorful outfits look better in photos.

登れるか心配でしたが、ガイドさんが楽しませてくださり、最後まで無事に登山・下山できました。人生に一度は登りたいと思っていので、登れてよかったです。服装は、カラフルな服装のほうが、写真映えがするので、地味な服装で挑んだことが心残りでした。

It was disappointing that we couldn't go to Palau Island and the caves because of the high waves. In the morning, we all had our first SUP experience as a family. Just when we got the hang of it, we fell into the river... that also became a fun memory. In the afternoon, we went canyoning, and our guide Diego was very knowledgeable, providing an interesting and enjoyable experience. We had a meaningful day and captured many great shots! I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

波が高くてパラス島&鍾乳洞には行けなかったのは残念でした。午前は家族みんなの希望で、初SUP体験。慣れた頃に川へドボン・・これも楽しい思い出になりました。午後はキャニオニング、ガイドのジエゴさんは知識が豊富で、おもしろ&楽しく案内して頂き、有意義な１日を過ごすことが出来ました。沢山のベストショットも最高‼️
機会があればまた訪れたいです。

On the day of the activity, due to the typhoon, the sea conditions were poor, and we couldn't do SUP or snorkeling at the planned locations. However, they chose a safe place to conduct the activities. The staff was very considerate, engaging with everyone during the activity and even in the shuttle, creating a friendly atmosphere. They also provided explanations about the nature and wildlife of Ishigaki Island during the activities, making for a fun and fulfilling day. It was great that they recommended various dining options as well.

当日は台風の影響で海況が悪く、SUPもシュノーケルも予定の場所ではできなかったのですが、安全な場所を選んで催行していただきました。
スタッフの方はとても気を遣ってくださり、アクティビティ中はもちろんのこと、送迎の車中から全員に話しかけて場を和ませてくれたり、アクティビティ中には、石垣島の自然や生き物の説明をしてくれたり、楽しく充実した1日になりました。
オススメの飲食店を色々教えていただけたのも良かったです。

While protecting my injured left knee from the previous day, I borrowed a supporter from our guide, Mr. Shiramizui, and received various assistance, which allowed me to enjoy the mossy forest. I hope to try the Taiko Rock next time if I have the opportunity.

前日痛めた左膝を庇いながらの挑戦、ガイドの白水さんからサポーターをお借りしたり色々手助け頂き何とか苔むす森までは楽しめました。太鼓岩は機会があれば次回にトライしたいと思います。

Since it was a private guide, they adjusted the speed and breaks to accommodate my wife, who has limited stamina. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy ourselves at our own pace without worrying about others. The guidance was also easy to understand and very good.

貸切ガイドなので脚力の無い家内に合わせてスピードと休憩を考えて頂きました。　お陰でほかの方を気にせずマイペースで楽しめました。　案内も分かり易く良かったです。

I had a great time exploring and encountering various animals, and the time flew by. The owl I got to see at the end was incredibly cute and moving. The guide shared many stories about the flora and fauna and also recommended other sightseeing spots, making it a fun trip. (I went!) Thank you very much.

I was able to see a lot of creatures. Not only did I get to see them, but the guide also caught some for us, so we could actually touch and hold them. Additionally, we learned various interesting facts about the creatures, making the tour very fulfilling.

Throughout the search for creatures and during our travels, the guide shared many stories, so I was never bored and had a great time. The main focus was the jungle night tour, but we also got to see the starry sky and the night view of Ishigaki Island, and the guide provided explanations about the stars, which made me satisfied with the stargazing experience.

I couldn't see it myself, but I heard that if you have a lucky guide, they might catch a habu snake with their bare hands to show you, so those who got to see that must feel very lucky.

たくさんの生き物を見ることができました。
ただ生き物を見るだけではなく、ガイドのお兄さんが捕まえて下さったので実際に触ったり持ったりもできました。さらに、生き物に関する豆知識なども教えて頂き、とても充実したツアーを回ることができました。
また、生き物を探してる最中や移動中でも様々なお話を聞かせて下さったので終始退屈することなく楽しく過ごすことができました。
今回はジャングルナイトツアーがメインだったのですが、星空や石垣島の夜景も見れたり星の解説もして頂けたので星空鑑賞に関しても満足しました。
私は見ることができなかったのですが、当たりのお兄さんだとハブを素手で捕まえて見せてくれるらしいので、それを見れた方はラッキーだと思います。

First of all, I was prepared for the rain, but I was fortunate with the weather. I thought it would be dull to walk alone in a solo trip, so I signed up for a local tour to hear various stories from the area. To my surprise, I had a great guide (a resident from Tochigi) which made the round trip of 10 hours enjoyable (though a bit tough), and I was able to fully appreciate the deep nature leading to Jomon Sugi.

まずは、雨は覚悟の上だったが天候に恵まれた。ひとり旅で黙々と歩くのも味気ないと思い、色々な現地話も聞きたいと現地ツアーに申込んだが、思いのほかいいガイドさん（栃木出身移住者）で往復の10時間が楽しく（少々辛く）、縄文杉までの奥自然が堪能できました。

I thought 10 hours would be long, but it went by in a flash. In the morning, I walked quietly in the dark and didn't know where I was going, but on the way back, I got to see some wonderful scenery. I was overwhelmed by the Great Cedar and Jomon Cedar, and it was very healing!

10時間は長いなと思いましたが、あっという間でした。
朝は真っ暗な中を黙々と、どこを歩いていたのかわからなかったですが、復路では素敵な景色を見れました。
大王杉・縄文杉に圧倒されましたし、とても癒されました！

It was disappointing that the sky was cloudy and we couldn't go to the Blue Cave, but I was able to enjoy the beautiful sea and the fish. The guide was kind, and I was able to experience the tour while listening to stories about Okinawa.

The kayaking, in particular, was great as we went far out and it felt wonderful.

Also, the pork shabu-shabu restaurant you recommended at the end was delicious! Thank you very much!

Next time, I will try again on a sunny day! ☆

曇空だったことと、青の洞窟に行けなかったことは残念でしたが、綺麗な海とお魚さんを楽しむことができました。
ガイドさんは優しく、沖縄話をしながら体験できました。
特にカヤックは遠くまで行けて、すごく気持ちよかったです。

あと、最後に教えていただいた豚しゃぶのお店、美味しかったです！ありがとうございました！

We were blessed with great weather and enjoyed the stunning view from Taiko Rock. When we arrived at Jomon Sugi, it was almost like we had the place to ourselves, and we could take as many photos as we wanted! We were able to take our time and really appreciate its beauty. Our guide, Kodama, was perfect from course selection to guidance along the way and pacing! We took many wonderful photos, making it a memorable day. The other participants were also very calm and kind, making it truly the best experience. Thank you very much.

お天気に恵まれて太鼓岩からの絶景が楽しめました。縄文杉の到着時にはほぼ貸切状態で、写真も撮り放題！ゆっくりその姿を見ることが出来ました。ガイドのこだまさんはコース選択から途中の案内、ペース配分まで終始完璧でした！素晴らしい写真もたくさん撮って頂き、思い出に残る一日となりました。一緒に参加されたメンバーもとても穏やかでいい方達で、本当に最高の経験をさせて頂きました。ありがとうございました。

Initially, we were scheduled to go snorkeling at the Blue Cave, but we heard on the day of the event that we wouldn't be going in that direction due to the wind. I appreciated the suggestions for cancellations or rescheduling. Since our schedule was tight this time, we decided to go ahead as planned.

We enjoyed seeing the coral and fish. The life jackets and wetsuits were perfectly sized, so my wife, who isn't a strong swimmer, was able to enjoy herself without worry.

Afterward, there were showers available, which was great for warming up our chilled bodies.

We took a lot of photos, making it a tour that I can confidently say was enjoyable.

Our guide, Acchan, was cheerful and really great, which added to the experience.

当初の予定では、青の洞窟でのシュノーケリングでしたが、風の影響で洞窟方向へは行かないと当日現地で聞きました。
キャンセルや日程変更も提案していただきありがたかったです。
今回は予定が詰まっていた為、そのまま決行。
珊瑚や魚を、見て楽しみました。

ライフジャケット、ウェットスーツもバッチリサイズで、泳ぎが得意じゃない奥さんも、安心して楽しめました。

終了後は、シャワーもあるので、冷えた体には良かったです。

写真もたくさん撮っていただき、良かったと言えるツアーでした。

ガイドのあっちゃんも、明るくて良い子で本当に良かったです。

Unfortunately, due to the weather, the stargazing experience ended up being disappointing, but I was able to encounter many rare creatures that do not inhabit Honshu. Since it was winter, I was worried that there would be fewer animals, but that was not the case. I was able to see the Ryukyu Scops Owl, coconut crabs, hermit crabs, and even scorpions.

生憎の天気により、星空は残念な結果に終わってしまいましたが、本州には生息しない珍しい生き物にはたくさんお目にかかれました。冬場の参加であったため、生き物は少ないかなあと心配しておりましたがそんなことはなく、リュウキュウコノハズクやヤシガニ、オカヤドカリ、果てはサソリなんかも見ることができました。

The explanations were also very thorough. Next time, I want to go to Sunset and I would like to participate in a different tour as well. I will come again.

The young female guide was incredibly attentive.

The timing was excellent, allowing us to take the best photos when there were fewer people around.

It was truly a wonderful experience.

I had a morning reservation, but considering the weather and sea conditions, the instructor suggested a time change! On top of that, the early morning sea was still empty, and I was the first to enjoy the cave! The instructor also taught me carefully, so I was able to relax and have fun even though I can't swim! Thank you very much! I would like to do it again.

早朝予約していましたが、天気や海の状況を加味してくれましてインストラクターさんから時間変更提案してくれました！その上で早朝の海はまだ誰も入ってなく1番乗りで洞窟も楽しめました！あとインストラクターさんからも丁寧に教えてもらい、泳げなくても安心して楽しめました！ありがとうございました！また願いしたいです。

Due to a full flight, we arrived in Ishigaki at 5:30 PM. I wanted to include activities on the day we arrived, so I signed up for a stargazing and night safari tour. My impression is simply that it was a great decision! The weather was nice, the stars were truly beautiful, and we could even see the Milky Way. During the night safari, we encountered natural animals like the "Japanese scops owl, habu snake, hermit crab, bat, and firefly," which was surprisingly amazing. My daughter, who had been saying she was tired and sleepy during the stargazing, suddenly became super excited when she met the hermit crab and habu snake during the night safari. The guide mentioned that they hadn't seen a habu in over three months, and we all felt lucky to be part of the tour. Since these are natural encounters, we can't guarantee seeing them every time, but with a friendly guide and the chance to meet Ishigaki's wildlife, we were able to start our trip with wonderful memories. 飛行機の満席により、行きのフライトが石垣到着17時半。
ついたその日もアクティビティを入れたいと思い、申し込んだ星空観賞&ナイトサファリ。感想は、申し込んでよかった！の一言。
お天気もよく、星空も本当に美しく天の川もみることができましたし、ナイトサファリでは「コノハミミズク/ハブ/ヤドカリ/コウモリ/ホタルなど」天然の動物とビックリするぐらい遭遇しました。星空観光では、疲れた。眠いを連発していた娘も、ナイトサファリでヤドカリやハブなどと出会って、いきなりテンションマックス。ハブは、最近では3か月以上遭遇できていないというガイドさんの話で、ラッキーとツアー参加者一同で感じていました。
天然のものですので、毎回あえるかは分かりませんが、感じの良いガイドさんと、石垣の生き物との出会いで、旅行初日を素敵な思い出作りからスタートをきれました。ありがとうございます。

A foreign guide with a beard led us, sharing in-depth stories about nature and history as we progressed. I was nervous since it was my first trekking experience, but I was thrilled when I stood on the Taiko Rock and the view opened up. I also became friends with a father and daughter who joined the tour, making it a surprisingly enjoyable experience.

髭モジャの外国人の方がガイドで、自然や歴史のことをじっくり話しながら進んでくれました。初めてのトレッキングでドキドキしましたが、太鼓岩の上に立って視界が開けた時は興奮しました。一緒になった父娘のお二人とも仲良くなり、思いがけない楽しさが詰まったツアーでした。

Now, regarding the tour itself, it was great that we were able to visit various places, but the tour guide was a foreigner. While they could speak Japanese, it was very difficult to understand them. Towards the end, their voice became so quiet that I couldn't hear the explanations. When they said, "Please ask if you have any questions," it was hard to do so under those circumstances.

We started from in front of the prefectural office, but there were many buses lined up, making it hard to find the right one. Other tour guides were calling out loudly, while ours just stood outside holding a customer list. That made it really confusing. Since I’m not very experienced with tours and this was only my second time, I didn’t know what to do. This was evident as other customers, who were also there more than 10 minutes early, ended up arriving at the bus just in time and expressed their confusion.

Additionally, I went with my junior this time, and while I understand the need for social distancing due to COVID, everyone could have easily maintained distance by sitting by the windows. However, we were made to sit together as a couple, and when I asked if we could move to the window seats, I was told to wait. Ultimately, we were able to sit by the window only in the afternoon. If they were going to allow it, they could have done so in the morning as well. Moreover, there was someone sitting alone who wanted to see the scenery and preferred to sit by the window, which was prioritized instead. Doesn’t that seem strange?

Please ensure proper training for the tour guides. If it had been a Japanese guide, I think we could have enjoyed it a bit more.

朝イチ後輩が遅れてすみませんでした。それで10分出発が遅れたのですが待っていただきありがとうございました。
早速ツアー内容なんですが、内容的には色々なところをまわれたのはよかったのですが、添乗員が外人さんで、日本語も大丈夫なのですが、非常に聞き取り辛かったです。説明も、自身がないのか終わりの方は声が小さく聞こえなかったです。
分からないことが有れば聞いてくださいって、これでは聞けないですよ。
出発の場所は県庁前からだったのですが、何台も並んでいたのでわかりにくかったです。他のツアーの添乗員さんは大きな声で呼んでいるのに、今回の添乗員は外に出て、顧客リストを持っているだけ。これではわかりませんよね。旅行慣れしていなく今回が2回目だったので、わかりませんでした。それを物語るのが、他のお客さんも、10分以上前に県庁前にいたのにギリギリにバスに着いてわからなかったって言ってバスに乗ってました。
あと、今回後輩と乗ったのですが、コロナで席を空けてるのはわかるのですが、全員窓際に座っても十分距離は保てるのに、私たちとカップルだけ2人で座らされ、窓際に移っていいですか？って聞いたら待ってください。って言われて結局窓際に座れたのが昼過ぎ。結局オッケーするなら午前中でも、よかったのではないでしょうか？それも、1人で座ってる人が景色ぐ見たいから逆に座りたいって言って、そっちを優先。おかしくないでしょうか？
添乗員教育ちゃんとしてください。日本人の添乗員だったらもう少し楽しめたかな。

To get to the northern Yanbaru area, it's difficult without a rental car, so I signed up for the only bus tour that goes to Daishirinzan. The bus had proper infection control measures in place, including seat arrangements.

Unfortunately, it rained on the day of the tour. I was looking forward to the views from the observation decks at Cape Hedo and Daishirinzan, but sadly, I could barely see anything. The weather forecast predicted clear skies for the afternoon, so I wished we could have reversed the order of the tour to visit the Churaumi Aquarium later. (Since it's a group tour, I understand that the schedule for each location is fixed and changes are probably not possible.)

We had 80 minutes at Daishirinzan. I wanted to see the "Observation Deck" and "Gajumaru," so I walked the shortcut course "Kigan & Churaumi" plus the "Yanbaru Forest Course." I just barely made it back in time within the 80 minutes. I wished I had a bit more time.

At the Churaumi Aquarium, we had 180 minutes. Perhaps because it was the second day of a three-day weekend in September when people started to move around (they were allowing entry with restrictions for infection control), there was a huge line, and it took 20 minutes to get in after we started waiting. The tour guide mentioned that it was the longest line they had ever seen. However, even with the 20-minute wait, we had plenty of time with the 180-minute stay. I skipped the really crowded tanks, looked at the beach and sea turtles, and then returned to the aquarium to explore.

It seems that the tour content has changed now. It looks like it offers a better experience to fully enjoy Yanbaru.

北部やんばるエリアに行くにはレンタカー以外では難しくて、この大石林山に行くことができる唯一のバスツアーに申し込みました。
バス内では席位置等感染対策がしっかりととられていました。
当日はあいにくの雨。「辺戸岬」と「大石林山」の展望台からの景色を楽しみにしていたのですが残念ながらほぼ何も見えませんでした。午後からの天気予報は晴れだったので午後からの「美ら海水族館」と回る順番を逆にすることができたら良かったのになあって思いました。（ツアー団体だから各場所に行く予定時間は決まっていて変更は無理なんだろうとは思います）
「大石林山」の滞在時間は80分。「展望台」と「ガジュマル」は見たかったので「奇岩・美ら海」のショートカットコース+「やんばる森林コース」を歩きました。なんとかギリギリ80分でもどれました。もう少し時間が欲しかった。
「美ら海水族館」は滞在180分。人が動き出した9月の3連休の二日目のためか（感染対策のために入場制限をしながら入場させていた）入場はすごい列ができていて、並んでから入るまで20分かかりました。添乗員さんはこんなに行列ができているのは初めてだと言われていました。ただ20分並んでも180分滞在時間があったので時間は十分でした。すごく混んでいる水槽は飛ばし、ビーチやウミガメを見てからまた水族館にもどり入って見ました。

今はツアー内容が変更になっているようですね。やんばるをより満喫できる内容のようなので良さそうですね。

On October 17th, I participated with my family of five. For the experience diving, only two people can be guided by one instructor, but we had three instructors guiding two, two, and one, respectively. They also took a family photo for us, which became a wonderful memory. The instructors were very kind, and despite our initial anxiety, all five of us enjoyed the diving. The waters around Kerama were very beautiful, but I was a bit disappointed that there were fewer fish than I had imagined and that we didn't encounter any sea turtles. After boarding, there was also an affordable parasailing option available, and unexpectedly, we were able to experience parasailing as well, making our day in Okinawa very meaningful.

10/17に家族5人で参加しました。体験ダイビングは1人のインストラクターに2名までしか引率できないのですが、3人のインストラクターで2名+2名+1名を引率してしただき、家族5人の集合写真を撮影していただき、とても良い思い出となりました。インストラクターの方はとても親切で、不安のあったダイビングも5人全員楽しめました。慶良間の海はとても綺麗でしたが、想像していたよりはお魚の数が少なかったこと、ウミガメには出会えなかったことが少し残念でした。乗船後に格安でのパラセーリングのオプションも用意されており、思いがけずのパラセーリング体験もでき、沖縄での1日をとても有意義に過ごすことができました。

The fun time flew by in an instant. Although we couldn't go to Barasu Island due to the weather, I am more than satisfied! The cave adventure, canoeing, jungle exploration, and the Lucky Falls were all exciting. While canoeing, the surrounding tranquility made me want to stop paddling and just listen. It was a collection of precious experiences! Yoshida's guidance was easy to understand and I had a great time. He took so many photos that I didn't even need my phone. I want to visit Iriomote Island again! I wonder which waterfall I should go to next! Thank you very much!

楽しい時間はあっという間に終わりました。天候の関係でバラス島には行けませんでしたが、それ以上に満足しています！
鍾乳洞冒険、カヌー、ジャングル探検、幸運の滝、どれもワクワク◎カヌーでは、周りの静けさに思わず漕ぐのをやめて耳を澄ませたくなります。貴重な体験ばかりでした！
吉田さんのガイドもわかりやすくてとっても楽しめました(^^)写真もたくさん撮って下さるので携帯いらずです。また西表島に来たいな〜！次はどこの滝に行こうかな〜！ありがとうございました(^o^)

Originally, we had planned to do SUP at Kabira Bay and snorkeling at the Blue Cave, but due to high waves, we quickly changed to SUP in the mangroves and landing on the Phantom Island for snorkeling.
As a result, it turned out to be a very satisfying tour!
The staff were very kind and shared a lot of detailed information about the island, making me want to visit the outer islands next time.
Phantom Island was truly beautiful and moving!
I was really happy about the free photo service.
They also suggested poses, which helped avoid having the same types of photos.
I was surprised to receive nearly 200 photos.
Kubo, our guide, was only 22 years old and was the captain; it was fun to see starfish and sea turtles while snorkeling.

元々川平湾のSUPと青の洞窟シュノーケリングの予定でしたが、波が高いということで急遽マングローブでのSUPと幻の島上陸＆シュノーケリングに変更となりました。
結果的に、とても満足いくツアーになりました！
スタッフの皆さんがとても親切で島のことを詳しく色々と教えてくださって、次は離島にも行ってみたいと思いました。
幻の島は本当に綺麗で感動しました！
写真撮影の無料サービスがあるの、本当に嬉しいです。
ポーズの提案もしてもらえて、同じような写真ばかりにならないのも良かったです。
しかも200枚近く送ってもらえてびっくりしました。
案内してくださった久保さんが22歳の若さで船長をされており、シュノーケリングでヒトデやウミガメを見つけてくれたのも楽しかったです。

In the mangrove forest, we had an explanation from the guide and were able to explore while looking for creatures like coconut crabs. For lunch, we had sashimi with three pieces of white fish fry, which was very filling and delicious. Cape Hedo had an impressive deep blue color; although the wind was strong, the view was wonderful. At Daishi Forest, I was able to walk more easily than I expected and fully enjoy nature. I also thought that infection control measures were well implemented, such as hand sanitizer when getting on and off the bus and seating arrangements that maintained social distance. I'm glad I went.

マングローブ林ではガイドさんの説明があり、ヤシガニ等生き物を探しならがら見学できました。ランチは刺身に白身フライが3枚もつきボリューム満点で美味しかったです。辺戸岬は濃いブルーが印象的、風は強かったけど素晴らしい景色でした。大石林山は思ったより楽に歩くことができ、自然を満喫できました。バス乗り降りの際は手指アルコール消毒、ソーシャルディスタンスを保った座席配置など感染症対策もしっかりされていたと思います。行って良かったです。

I was able to see a variety of creatures living on Ishigaki Island, including coconut crabs, bats, white crabs, fireflies even in winter, and rare small owls.

Although it was somewhat cloudy on the day, the clouds moved quickly, and I was able to see the stars, which made me very satisfied.

Not only the creatures but also the constellations were explained in detail by the guide, making it easy to understand. Thank you very much.

I explored the great nature of Yanbaru, going down waterfalls and climbing cliffs. It was challenging, but it was okay even if I wasn't confident in my physical strength. It was so much fun, and I want to participate again when I go to Okinawa!!

やんばるの大自然の中、滝をくだったり崖を登ったりしながら探検しました。ハードではありましたが、体力に自信がなくても大丈夫でした。とても楽しくて、また沖縄に行ったら参加したいです！！
