We headed to Pumpkin Cave by canoe! Once we arrived, we got off the canoe and entered the cave! It was a bit cold inside, but I was captivated by the beautiful stalactites formed over many years✨ In the afternoon, we went snorkeling to see sea turtles! Within just a few minutes of getting in, we encountered a sea turtle, and the handsome guide took some wonderful photos for us😘 It became a truly great memory!
パンプキン鍾乳洞まではカヌーで向かいます！到着したらカヌーを降りて鍾乳洞内へ入りました！洞窟内は少し寒かったですが長い年月をかけて形成された綺麗な鍾乳洞に魅了されました✨

When you think of Yakushima, you think of Jomon Sugi, so I signed up with a light heart, but it was tougher than I imagined. Without the encouragement from the group members with guide Mr. Mitsuhashi, I definitely wouldn't have made it. He was a really great guide, and he took some wonderful photos for us.

I had the opportunity to go snorkeling with an instructor named Yamachan. They efficiently located the sea turtles in advance using a drone, so we were able to see them right away! Also, since there were only two of us, my husband and I, it seemed that not many people were snorkeling at this time of year. The instructor listened to our requests, and thanks to that, we had a wonderful time. We were lucky to have such a great tour and instructor!

It was a half-day tour, but I was very satisfied to experience the wonderful nature of Iriomote Island. If I had more time, I would have liked to spend a full day there. Snorkeling was amazing with great weather, and I was able to see sea turtles and fish in the clear ocean! However, it still felt a bit cold in March.
The Pumpkin Cave was enjoyable to explore by kayak, but what stood out the most was the impressive cave formations and the thorough explanations from the tour guide. I was very satisfied with the opportunity to see, hear, and learn!

On March 22, we were blessed with wonderful weather, making it the perfect day for trekking. There were six of us in the group, and the guide was attentive and kind, considering the participants' fitness levels and adjusting the pace accordingly. Everyone in the group was nice, and we enjoyed walking together throughout the long journey. Even when it was tough, I think we were able to go and come back thanks to the guide's support. Jomon Sugi is truly breathtaking. The guide took many photos for us, and being a professional, he knew all the best photo spots and had great compositions. If you're someone who thinks of this as a once-in-a-lifetime visit, I highly recommend joining a tour, as you might miss some highlights if you go on your own.

6人のグループでしたがガイドの方が丁寧で親切に参加者の体力を考慮しペース配分など対応していただけました。グループの方も皆さん良い人で長い道中、楽しく歩けました。
辛くても諦めず全員で行って帰ってこれたのはガイドさんの力が大きいかなと思います。縄文杉は圧巻の素晴らしさです。ガイドさんが沢山、写真も撮ってくださいました。やはりプロのガイドさんだと写真ポイントも押さえているし構図もバッチリです。個人で行くと見所を見忘れたりする事もあるので、一生に一度訪れる場所と思っている人程、ツアー参加が私としてはお勧めです。

By chance, we got to see a mongoose and a turtle, and we were able to touch a lot of nature, including mangrove seeds. I thought my arms and back would hurt, but surprisingly, I was fine. I participated with my 2-year-old child. I think it depends on the child's character, but we were able to participate without any issues until the end. However, I was worried about riding separately, so I had my child sit close to me at my feet.
案内人のお兄さんは優しい雰囲気で、2人の子連れでしたが最後まで楽しく体験することができました！今回はたまたま？マングースや亀を見ることができたり、マングローブの種を見たり、たくさんの自然に触れる事ができました。腕や腰が痛くなりそうと思ってましたが、案外大丈夫でした。2歳の子供と参加しました。お子様のキャラクターにもよると思いますが、問題なく最後まで参加する事ができました。ただ、離れて乗るのはやはり心配でしたので、足のところに乗せて密着して乗りました。

There were about 30 participants in the mangrove and canoe activity in Iriomote Island, and I was the only one alone. The canoeing was as expected from start to finish, except for one point. Even though it was a two-person canoe, it was faster overall than being alone. In the end, there was quite a distance to return to the shore. I paddled really hard. I might be the only one who was sweating as much as everyone else. Canoeing allowed me to have my own space, so it was enjoyable. Thank you very much.

I have experienced wakasagi fishing a few times in different places, but this was the first time we caught so many. The onion soup served with the wakasagi tempura was also excellent. It was actually warmer in the water. Despite this, our tour guide Kenji worked hard and even found a turtle for us! I've been snorkeling every year in Izu, but encountering a turtle is something special to Miyako Island! When we got out of the water, I was really happy to receive the hot water in the plastic bottle that they handed out. Thank you for this experience!

The ferry to Uehara Port was canceled, so we headed from Ohara Port instead. This is my second time on Iriomote Island, but it was the first time I experienced such cold weather in March. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing many stories about the islands during our travels, which made it enjoyable. We had a fulfilling day riding in an ox cart and paddling a canoe to see the mangroves.
One disappointing aspect was that I had imagined we would be able to explore deeper into the jungle while canoeing, but in reality, we only paddled a little on a large river and landed at a small area with mangroves for a brief walk, which was a bit different from what I had envisioned.

On the day of the event, it was held at a different beach due to the influence of the north wind. Although the encounter rate with sea turtles was said to be slightly lower, we were able to see sea turtles safely! We got to see them up close and took many wonderful photos. It was a bit cold, but it became a very nice memory!
当日は北風の影響で予定していた海岸とは別のビーチで開催してくれました。ウミガメ遭遇率が少し下がるとのことでしたが、無事にウミガメを見ることができました！とても間近で見ることができ素敵な写真もたくさん撮っていただきました。少し寒かったですがとてもいい思い出になりました！

The mangrove forest felt like a different dimension, and the air was so fresh. I would love to stay there.

Following the handsome guide, I had my first sea kayaking experience! We got off the kayak in front of a cave and swam into the cave with the pumpkin stalactites! It was a larger cave than I expected, and we explored while receiving thorough explanations! We took a lot of photos, creating wonderful memories! Thank you very much!
イケメンガイドさんについて行き初のシーカヤック体験！洞窟の前でカヤックから降りパンプキン鍾乳石のある洞窟へ泳いでエントリー！思ったより広い洞窟で丁寧に説明をしてもらいながら探検しました！写真も沢山撮ってもらえていい思い出です！ありがとうございました！
