We gathered in the evening and headed towards the mountains by car. Once we got out, we searched for creatures and plants with a flashlight in hand. It felt just like an expedition. Unfortunately, it was cloudy that day, so we couldn't see the stars, but we were able to fully experience the night on Iriomote Island! We got to see coconut crabs up close and observed many unique creatures and large plants that can only be found on Iriomote Island! Then, since we had a bit of time, we drove around looking out the windows together to search for the Iriomote wildcat. Unfortunately, we didn't find any, but I think the experience of searching together was really fun and valuable. Our instructor, Komachan, had incredible knowledge and casually taught us so much that we never got bored while looking at the creatures and plants. He shared stories about the island's elders and his own experiences. It was a tour that made me want to learn more!

What is common to both activities is that Macchan, who guided us through the tours, shared a wealth of information about the plants, creatures, and locations of Iriomote Island. Personally, I didn't have much knowledge about plants and animals, but thanks to the real experiences and knowledge shared by our guide, I was able to learn a lot and found it to be incredibly profound.

I believe the charm of this activity lies not only in the experiences but also in the ability to truly feel and engage with nature.

トレッキングでは、山の中にある滝を見て滝行のようなこともしたり飛び込みで大自然を体感できました。飛び込みには少し勇気がいる高さもありましたが、案内してくれるまっちゃんがコツやデモンストレーションをしてくださるため安心して飛び込むことができました。
マングローブSUPでは、西表島のマングローブを近くで見て、マングローブのトンネルのようなところに入ってまるで私がジャングルにいるような冒険をしているような気分になれました。マングローブSUPでは、いろんな鳥やマングローブの種類について知ることができました。
二つのアクティビティに共通していることは、どのツアーも一緒に行ってくださるまっちゃんが植物や生き物、場所などたくさん西表島のことを存分に伝えてくださることです。自身、あまり植物や生物に関して知識がなかったのですが、一緒に行ってくださった方の実体験や経験、知識を存分に教えてくださるため自身の知識も身に付きましたし、すごく奥深いなと感じました。
体験だけではなく、体感できるところがこのアクティビティの魅力だと考えます。

We were able to observe sleeping birds up close. It seems that seeing a wildcat is quite rare, but we did find some footprints. The guide explained the creatures and plants, allowing us to observe animals and plants that can't be seen on the main island. There were also bananas growing, and it felt subtropical! We were able to see a coconut crab as well. It's not often that you get to enter a night jungle, so I highly recommend it!

We visited at the end of January with our family (with children in 5th and 3rd grade). We borrowed gear for the kids, changed in the locker room, and after leaving our luggage at the front desk, we were ready for some snow fun!

Since we live in an area where it doesn't snow much, the kids were thrilled! After playing on the snow tubes for a while, we moved on to snow rafting. It was much faster than we imagined, and bouncing around on the curves was quite entertaining! With the falling snow and the snow flying around, we were covered in white from head to toe! The wind was extremely cold, but the excitement outweighed the chill.

We also enjoyed the snow play area and cross-country skiing. In the snow play area, there were various molds to make snowmen, chicks, dinosaurs, hearts, and more, which had the adults getting into the fun as well.

In addition to the fun activities, the staff at every corner were incredibly kind and friendly, which was a nice touch. At the snow tubing, they not only showed us how to slide normally but also taught us fun ways to slide, like on our stomachs, backward, and while holding hands, allowing us to play dozens of times.

There were noticeable foreign guests arriving by large buses, but since we visited on a weekday, it wasn't too crowded, and we were able to enjoy ourselves.

It's close to the airport, and with rental gear available, we can go hands-free, so I would love to stop by again the next time we use New Chitose Airport!

風がめちゃくちゃ寒かったですが、寒さを上回る興奮です。

他にも、雪遊びコーナーや歩くスキーなどを楽しませて頂きました。
雪遊びコーナーでは雪で作れるスノーマン、ひよこ、恐竜、ハートなどいろいろな型が置いてあり、大人も夢中になって遊んでしまいました。

遊びが楽しかったことのほか、どのコーナーもスタッフの方が非常に親切で、気さくに話しかけてくださったのも良かったです。
スノーチューブでは普通にすべるだけでなく、うつぶせ、後ろ向き、手つなぎなど楽しい滑り方を教えて頂いて、何十回も遊んでいました。

大型バスで来られてる外国からのお客様が目立ちましたが、訪問したのが平日だったのでさほど混雑は感じずに遊ぶことができました。

空港から近く、レンタル品もあって手ぶらで行けるので、また新千歳空港を利用するときは立ち寄りたいと思います！

I visited Iriomote Island for the first time. The weather was bad, so we had to skip Barasu Island and switch to trekking, but it was the right decision, and I had an amazing experience. I was very happy to be able to experience the same place that Debi from Itte Q visited!

The guide was fantastic and very kind, and he really made the experience enjoyable. Matsuchan, our guide, made me feel great, and even though I was scared, I jumped into the river and successfully went trekking at the age of 52. The stories about the real life of Matsuchan and the locals, as well as tales from the island's elders, were fascinating. The mangrove canoeing was also incredible and very beautiful. You absolutely should experience it!

A wonderful day even if the weather was bad the first hours of walking (rain). The misty forest, the big old and mysterious trees and the little world of the moss are so beautiful and well preserved! We were two with the guide (who speaks English contrary of what is written on the website). Read that some people had problems with the guide but he has done the job seriously. Yes he walks quickly sometimes, but we have no choice: we need to go down for the last bus. The problem is the bus schedule (which should pass one hour later), definitely not the guide! So he knows exactly what he's doing, we walked quite well and we finally arrived 10 minutes before the bus departure! If you feel that you are not in condition to walk quickly in hard mountain road (the last kilometers) it's better to give up this activity, and please don't try it without a guide during winter because we saw a few irresponsible guys underestimating the dangers of nature (no crampons on icy path, no warm clothes, walking late...)! Personally, I like this kind of guide who looks severe at the beginning, but little by little you discover that he just ask you to do what you need to do. He is kind too: giving some of his hot miso soup for lunch, taking lots of beautiful photos for you (because I must say it's hard to take photos by yourself, no time to fool around), giving very useful crampons for walking in the snow (two minutes to put it on your shoes), talking with you... Finally it was an amazing natural and human experience!

It was a place I wanted to visit in the northern part of Okinawa Island, which is not often included in tours. The day was fulfilling with sightseeing, following the schedule without any troubles. The tour guide's explanations were accurate and easy to understand, which made me feel at ease.

The sashimi lunch at Kunigami Port Shokudo was very delicious. Since it’s a popular restaurant, there were many customers waiting for it to open, but I was able to eat as soon as it opened.

I wished I had a little more time at Asumui, but it couldn't be helped due to the schedule. It’s quite far to go individually, so this day trip tour was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend it.

マングローブに囲まれた広い川の真ん中で心地よい風やマイナスイオンを感じ、大自然を満喫できました。最高でした。

フリースにレインコートて十分でした。手袋もあつかったので軍手の方がいいかとおもいます。思った以上にアップダウンがあって最初不安になりましたが
ガイトさんが歩き方や足の運び方、息づかいを教えてもらったので安心してトレッキングできました。途中植物の話や杉の説明などしてもらえるので楽しめました
2時間ほど歩いたところにトイレがあり利用しました。
帰りは同じルートを戻りますが
下りはひざにかなり負担をかんじます。
次の日は筋肉痛になりましたが
雲水峡はとても神秘的で美しかったので大満足のツアーでした。
冬なので人が少なかったのも良かったです
